Resolved! Is GND on pin 5 of the MIS2DH redundant or required for correct operation?

The MIS2DH and the IIS2DLPC have the same pinout except for pin 5. On the IIS2DLPC, pin 5 is not connected. On the MIS2DH, pin 5 is name Res but is shown connected to GND. Is this a required connection or can the pin be left as a no connect?
