On an LIS3DH in low power with FS set to +- 16g the datasheet on page 10 gives a sensitivity of 192 mg/digit. So 192 * 128 = 24,576. Or a range of 24.6 g??? Am I missing something???

Hello everyone, How does MEMS measurement ranges realized in hardware in details? Does it use amplifiers with different gain ratios or does different MEMS cells used?

Using the LSM303 right out of the box

 Will I get meaningful data if read the registers without any register modification or do I have to set the registers first. Sorry I'm very new to ST products and I would like to incorporate into my product.
