Embedded Survey 2023 is just out : It is interesting to see domination of C language by far and that a processor vendor’s brand weighs heavily in the decision process.
“The embedded study lists highlight the most widely known microprocessor or microcontroller vendors led by STMicroelectronics (which raised its stature from a rank order standpoint over the past few years). Awareness of these particular vendors is greater in larger OEMs and, as might be expected, with more experienced engineers”
