Kudos and thanks to the ST dev-tool team for making an enclosure STL file available (on the product page under CAD Resources) so users can print enclosures for the STLinkV3-MINIE.  This post is just to help others with print settings so they don't have to experiment as much as I did. There are only two real problems I encountered:The opening for the STDC14 connector is not centered in the enclosure as it should be; as a result, after printing, you must cut a significant amount of material from one of the short sides of the opening before the board can be inserted flat with the STDC14 connector going through the opening.  (you can see where I had to cut in the photo below). When slicing the STL file with Cura (probably the most popular slicer), you need to uncheck the "Union Overlapping Volumes" box in the Mesh Fixes section of the print settings.  If you do not, then the hole for the STDC14 connector is filled in by the slicer and the enclosure is unusable. Otherwise,

Is the WLCSP49 functionality same as that of UFQFPN48 package? Due to size reduction and I assume fewer contact pads in the former, I'd like to know if there are any functionality differences between the two. We are currently validating the possibility of usage of the WLCSP49 package for a project that requires a compact wireless MCU. Is it possible to get detailed information on it, in the form of a datasheet perhaps, if available?

Hello.I am developing a product with STM32F769I-DISCO development kit.Unfortunately, by my mistake, I think I connected 24VDC to the power terminal, so I couldn't use the power IC that looked like a regulator marked U4.Can you check the exact name of the U4 IC?Thank you.

Hello everyone,I cannot connect our STM32G4 Discovery kit via USB-type B micro connector (con 11) to my PC (Ubuntu 22.04).By testing several different USB cables now the communication LED is turned on and everything works as intended. The problem is solved.N.Seliger

STM32L4P5-DK has 5 external interrupt EXTI0 to EXTI4. Also vector address of all NVIC are given in the user manual. when I see the data stored in the vector address (say 0x0000 0060 for EXTI2) all the NVIC address have same data (i.e.,0xAD230008). May I know why all the data stored in different address are same?

I have been searching through the ST website to try to find the BlueNRG stack image v2.1c (the bluetooth 5.2 compliant version). If I search "stage image" under the "Tools and Software" section, I get results for other versions (such as STSW-BNRG-V63, STSW-BNRG-V64, STSW-BNRG-V73) whose release notes have older dates despite having higher revision numbers.

HelloThis problem has arised when creating a more complex program and I have narrow it down to a single test.project. I have created the usual project for the STM32F769 Disco using TouchGFX 4.20 Designer . I have set only one single TextArea, configured a wilcard to use the buffer with enough space and initial value of 0. The wildcard range is 0-9Then, I have exported the source code and I have modified it in STM32CubeIDE 1.10.1 and HAL1.16 to increase a counter in Screen1View::handleTickEvent() with the following codeUnicode::snprintf(textArea1Buffer,TEXTAREA1_SIZE,"%u",ctr++);textArea1.resizeToCurrentText();textArea1.invalidate();ctr is a uint32_t protected member in Scereen1View.hppThe problem is:- Executable generated by the simulator runs as expected.- Elf compiled and flashed by the TouchGFX Designer runs in the target as expected.- Elf compiled by STM32CubeIDE does not work.It crashes when initializing the TextArea1 in Screen1ViewBaseUnicode::snprintf(textArea1Buffer, TEXTAREA1_

Hello, I'm working on a product that needs sixteen antennas, so we're looking at using the ST25R391x series but have it be single ended, with each output going to a 1:8 antenna MUX. I have the multiplexer to test but first need to get single ended operation working. What is the best way to do that on one of the STMicro eval boards? I saw this answer and also this app note AN5592 but their baseline differential component values were very different from the eval boards so it made me cautious.Do you have a guide for which component values to change on one of the ST25R391x dev boards to allow for single ended operation? The end product uses a ST25R3916B but I have development boards for both the '3916B and the '3911. I don't have access to a network analyzer unfortunately. Also, when testing the single ended implementation, do I need to remove all the components on the other channel? It looks like that was done in AN5592.Finally, I think this antenna multiplexing would make for a great app

Here I'm using a USB Interface IC DRP for OTG. when I look into the datasheet for interfacing, I find some details in the pinout contrary to the diagram for pin numbers 16 and 17. Please someone clarify in this

Hi,I am implementing the pedometer function using LSM6DSOX.According to the driver file provided by ST, there are three different modes to configure. I want to know the difference between them. I cannot find any information in the datasheet.Appreciate your help!

Greetings,I have been working with the STM32F407ZG and a KnobG Click from MikroElectronica. I read the datasheet for the PCA9956B and have managed to address the device successfully at the address of 0x70. Now then according to the usage I have seen in the example code (which is severely abstracted and references heavily several library documents), it seems like they set all the LED outputs to full gain and then use a switch case (which seems to somehow default to 1) and all LED lights glow brightly. I have tested their code on my hardware so I know that it works. However, due to a lack of understanding the data sheet I have not succeeded in making that happen yet. I have however, managed to get the first LED to come on as have directly addressed that register (see below code snippet).  void KNOB_LED1_On(void){ uint8_t data[2]; data[0] = 0x0A; data[1] = 0x10; HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, KNOB_ADDR, data, 2, HAL_MAX_DELAY); } Question 1: Why does my fade f

Hey all, I've been working on this issue for about a week and am still not gaining any traction. I am trying to set up the RMII for the STM32H723ZG eval board (I cannot use the MII as we are using the pins for other peripherals). The LwIP TCP echo works fine with a functioning ping yet I still have not been able to configure it correctly. Any help is greatly appreciated. (tutorials followed at the end of the post and screen shots below.)        I followed the following tutorials: https://elektronika327.blogspot.com/p/stm32.htmlhttps://controllerstech.com/stm32-ethernet-1-connection/https://community.st.com/t5/embedded-software-mcus/how-to-make-ethernet-and-lwip-working-on-stm32/td-p/261456https://www.reddit.com/r/embedded/comments/13rcrqf/stm32h723zg_creating_tcpip_with_lwip_but_cannot/https://www.mathworks.com/help/supportpkg/stmicroelectronicsstm32f4discovery/ug/ethernet-options.html

Hello all. I am looking for an example startup script to perform a few initialization tests.I came to know that in  https://usermanual.wiki/Document/CXSTM8UsersGuide.1100875490.pdInitializing data in RAM section there is a startup script.I would like to know if there is any tutorial for the same.If there are any code examples, kindly share them with me.

Hi everyone,Im havinga annoying problem, im trying to inialize the DMA with the ADC , on my custom board. when a initlize it, it works fine, i get the 3 values of the trhee adc channel stored on a buffer. But the Systick timer goes crazy. i get way more faster than it should. the MCU its running on 16Mhz HSI,the interrupt that should be 1ms, goes as low as100uS. The strange thing, is that, whenever the DMA is not initalized, the systick runs rigth. Any ideas of wath could cause this?

Hi, I was working as usual with my NUCLEO WL55JC1 board, powered from external 3.3V.  Everything was working correctly and I turned the power suplly off, after turning it on again (next day), the board didn't work. I know the program is not runnin because I had a blinking LED that remains off. If I try to load the program to the board again I get teh following errors:Error in final launch sequence:Error message from debugger back end:Error finishing flash operationFailed to execute MI command:When I connect the board to the computer, the biclor LED flashes and then remains red, indicating initialization between the PC and STLINK-V3E is complete, after fail uploading the program the led remains green indicating communication finished and successful but no debug session was even started.I´d like to know if my board is dead or if there is something I can try to make it workRegards

Updated V1.13.0 -> V1.13.1 using IDE update. Now IDE starts with splash screen reporting V1.13.1 IDE windows open,  then within a second, some background update task fails and exits STM32CudeIDE. Uninstalled/re installed no improvement. Now unable to use any STM32CudeIDE. Attached are logs

Hello,I would like to ask you few questions since I have some unclearances about STM32MP157F MPU:1. If 933MHz DDR3L RAM was connected to the MPU according to the schematic, will the MPU automatically underclock it to max 533MHz?2. Is it possible to connect an OLED display to the STM32MP157F?3. Since SLC NAND memories are quite expensive in higher densities (>= 16GB), would it be a problem if a different configuration  such as TLC was used? Does the cell configuration also matter in e.MMC and what is its max data transfer rate for read/write when connected to SDMMC, if the datasheet says max I/O speed is 208 MB/s? Would it be possible to use HS200 mode to take advantage of the maximum capabilities of the MPU?4. If the Wi-Fi + Bluetooth module has a Wi-Fi SDIO host interface and as stated , the SDMMC supports data rates up to 208 MB/s, would it be possible to use the Wi-Fi 5/6 module to also take advantage of the MPU maximum capabilities instead of the Wi-Fi 4 65Mb/s (8,125MB/s)

I'm trying to get started with the STUSB4500QTR and at this point have not changed anything in the device but at the same time I am not using any of its capabilities. The attached schematic shows where I am now. The intent is that a PC (right now just Windows 10) would connect into the 'C' connector and a pigtail connector would carry the D+/D- lines on the the 'C' connector on a Raspberry Pi 4B+. That's what I'm trying to get going now. Eventually, my board (the schematic) would extract power, but that is not my immediate concern.Right now, if I plug the 'C' cable from the PC directly into the Pi, it works is gadget serial mode - what I want. However, when I plug the PC into my board and the pigtail into the Pi, Windows does not recognize the device. The pigtail is cut from an 'A' to 'C' adapter cable. The green/white wires are soldered into the test points. The Black and shield are wired in to ground on the PCB. (Red wire is left floating.) All wires are kept as short as possible. What

Hello All,         Just some context on what I'm trying to achieve. I have a board which has 4 NTCs creating a potential divider which is then sampled by the ADC. The supply to this potential divider is from one of the IO pins of the STM32F030 (SENSOR_3v3). The schematic is shown belowAs the output from the IO pin may well not be exactly the same as VDD to the MCU I am currently trying the following out.The SENSOR_3v3 is on an IO pin which can also be one of the analog channels. So I have told the MCU to sample that pin whilst the GPIO setup for that pin is to be a push pull digital ouput. This gives me the analog reading of the SENSOR_3v3 whilst it is supplying power to the NTCs which i can then use to scale the analog correctly. My question is will this cause damage internally to the MCU. As far as i can tell the internal analog sampling is behind a fairly significant resistor so there should be no problem, am I correct on this? &nbsp

Have found minor error with STM32G071.SVD file. When debugging EMR1 register is mapped to IMR1. Incorrect address offset in SVD file. May apply to other similar devices. Offset should read 0x84 EMR1, not 0x80Using STM32CubeIDE V1.13.0

So far, I've been able to create a TextArea with a wildcard in TouchGFX and then edit its buffer via program code - that works. I just edit the array and invalidate. Done. However, I fail miserably when I try to create Textarea using code only. I have created boxes, for example, and scrollable containers, put stuff inside each other and they work (and many of them in arrays that I loop through when drawing), but textareas are pretty wild and also weirdly (under)documented, and there are pretty much no examples in the internet, I googled my fingers to blood and left almost no links unclicked in google. My logic was to look at TextAreas created by TouchGFX generator and reproduce the procedure - worked with other things, but doesn't work for TextArea. Here is a WORKING automatically generated by TouchGFX code from ViewBase:textArea1.setXY(0, 51); textArea1.setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(0, 0, 0)); textArea1.setLinespacing(0); Unicode::snprintf(textArea1Buffer, TEXTAREA1_SIZ

Hi,I'm having some difficulty routing 1GB DDR3L memory with the STM32MP151DAC1. Both reference boards available for this product use different memory or pitch configurations. I found an Application Note, AN5122, that guides through memory routing, but I would like some actual reference design example, to compare. There are any reference, ap notes, or anything to help with this?Regards,Arion Doneda

In dont see a clear indication of the conversion time for differential mode. Is it the same as for single-ended operation?From DS12288 Rev 6, page 139, tconv : Total conversion time (including the sampling time) in ADC clock periods is given as:ts(cycles) + resolution + 0.5Is this the same for single-ended and differential operation modes?ThanksDavid

HelloI've been trying to shift over to STM32CubeIDE from the Arduino IDE and I have written the code for MPU6050 in CubeIDE using the HAL Libraries. However when I Debug the code and observe the values, its clear that the connection isnt established properly. To verify that nothing is wrong with my board, I used my old code in the arduino ide and it works there. Can someone help me with this? I am using stm32f401ccu6 blackpill with stlink v2. I am able to run simple blink codes in CubeIDE with this setup, but the I2C interfacing is not working. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached my code here as well for others to verify. Please let me know if there might be any configuration I might be missing out in the ioc file. Thanks,Sivan Sriman

Im moving my project code from stmf407 to stm32h743 and i have stucked with spi. First of all stmh743 has many more registers and it also lack some of them like RXONLY register in CR1. What im trying to do its receive 19bytes from the master,the master is a complete device and i cant control it. The clock speed of the master is around 20nanoseconds. My previous project in stmf407 catching the data perfectly.working STM32F407 spi code: static void MX_SPI1_Init(void) { SPI1 parameter configuration*/ hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_SLAVE; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES_RXONLY; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT; hspi1.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi1.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCPolynomial = 10; if (HAL_SPI_Init(&hspi1) != HAL_OK) { _Error_Handler(__
