Solved

Hello,I have a problem with the Gesture Evaluation Kit v1.4.0(EVK from now on) in combination with Nucleo F401RE and VL53L8CX ToF sensor. After uploading the binary file that comes with EVK, the GUI app sees the comport that Nucleo is connected to, but when trying to connect, it says that there is no response. There is no problem like this using same version of EVK and same Nucleo in pair with VL53L5CX ToF.

Hello Community,I am unsure what the ODR will be for the IIS3DWB sensor when we select the bandwidth of ODR/4.Kindly suggest the relationships if available, I did not find any mention in the datasheet except for Table 45.Are there any setting to select the ODR for the sensor? Is ODR autoselected as some multiple of the Bandwidth? Or is ODR always 26kHz irrespective of the bandwidth?Regards

The position of the text containing only a dot on a Button with Label is wrong. Left picture is a screenshot from TouchGFX Designer, where the dot is well aligned. To the right a framebuffer-screenshot of the actual application running on target hardware. The dot is vertically aligned to the middle of a typical character height.Sometimes already the Designer shows the wrong position of the dot. Not sure when this happens.Versions are up-to-date (CubeMX, CubeIDE and TouchGFX)

Hello,I would like to ask a question, I'm usin a STM32F429I-DISC1 REV-E01 for a TouchGFX application. I want to send data by UART to my pc. I configure CubeMX (screenshot attached) and then, in my code, I write those lines for a test. But it does'nt work. In Tera Term, the port is disconnected and I receive nothing.Can you help me ?RegardsThat is my Init USART function static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USART2_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART2_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN USART2_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END USART2_Init 1 */ huart2.Instance = USART2; huart2.Init.BaudRate = 9600; huart2.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart2.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart2.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart2.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX; huart2.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart2.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart2) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /* USER CODE BEGIN USART2_Init 2 */ /* USER CODE EN

I am using STM32L476RG board with x-nucleo-NFC05a1 with ST25R3911B chip.The purpose of our project is to read and write from the tag.Here is a recommended forum for questions about integrating the code of STM32L476RG board with ST25R3911B board. https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000006G1H9SAK/how-to-start-with-st25r3911b-and-is-it-really...My question:First picture: can the recommended file X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1.ico be used as a reference or directly?The second picture: Is it necessary to add only those files, platform.h?

STM32F103RBHi. I tried to learn register level programming and got a problem with Port configuration register.hire is my codes:#include "stm32f1xx_hal.h"int main(void){RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_IOPCEN;GPIOC->CRL=0;GPIOC->CRL = GPIO_CRL_MODE2 | GPIO_CRL_MODE3;//GPIOC->CRL |= GPIO_CRL_CNF2_0 | GPIO_CRL_CNF3_0;//when I set other then 00 it not generating pulses. I want to set it output Open-drain. while (1){GPIOC->BSRR|=GPIO_PIN_2<<16;GPIOC->BSRR|=GPIO_PIN_2;GPIOC->BSRR|=GPIO_PIN_3<<16;GPIOC->BSRR|=GPIO_PIN_3;}}

Hi! I am using STM32H725VGH6 series MCU, in the datasheet it is clearly mentioned that it has 2 direct 16bit ADC channels, while it is not there when trying to configure in STM32CubeIDE. Can you make sure the datasheet is correct or not?

Hi,Are there any references for configuring the I2S supply voltages in device trees for STM32MP135-DK.From the I2S module currently we are getting the output level as 5V, is that expected or is there any way to change that from 5V to 3.3V.

I am trying to configure flexray registers. But Controller is resetting when I access 0xFFFE0000, the address of MVR register. It is readable when I connect SPC5UDESTK in peripheral register window. I am using SPC560P44L3CEFAR mcu. Does it have flexray peripheral?

The contents of "stm32l0xx_hal_def." are shown in the attached photo.It says something like "Apache-2.0".This causes a compile error.What should I do?

hey everyone im using nucleo board f413zh for an audio project and i have a weird clock voltage of 1.68 when i enable master clock  , the clock signal came from the st link to the mcu i have 2 board and in the two is the same problem  i check vdd and its 3.3v i dont know if the problem came from the firmware or from something else . in the screenshot you  can see the analogue value of the clock(i2s and mco) i have the last version of the st link firmware i wonder if someone can give me a hint to find  where the problem cam from. thanks

First of all, I don't have a logic analyzer so I can't analyze it well enough. My goal is to realize the control of BLDC motor using ESC.First calibration is required to realize the control.For calibration, when the duty cycle is 100%, power is given to the ESC, after 2 seconds the duty cycle is reduced to 0%, after 2 seconds it works in the given duty cycle.  But when I do this with stm32, the pwm starts 2 seconds after powering up and calibration is not provided.The pwm starts 2 seconds after powering the controller. I tested this with SG90 servo motor, not esc, it started to rotate 2 seconds after powering up. I changed the timer channel but nothing changed.I tested the ESC and BLDC motor by doing the same job on arduino and it worked (I used servo library)I also applied the things in the link below and it did not work again.https://controllerstech.com/how-to-interface-bldc-motor-with-stm32/

Hi,when generating code with Motor Control Workbench for the B-G431B-ESC1 there is no code generated for CAN or PWM. Pin assignment in CubeMX is also missing.Is the B-G431B-ESC1 not supported in Motor Control Workbench, yet?Kind Regards,Jay

Just getting started with this MCU. STM32CubeIDE says LSCO has conflict with GPIO input on PB2. Using this IDE how do I disable LSCO?

I'm trying to use Range 2 mode in my custom STM32WB55 board to reduce power consumption in my board.I found the protocol that switchs Range 1 to Range 2 mode in RM0434 document.The basic protocol is like below and I found that three register should be changed to use Range 2 mode, which is RCC clock control, Flash ACR, and PWR control register (+PWR status register).So, my question is how to change these registers and is there any example for change these or CubeMX to help change these value?In addtion, I tried to change RCC clock using CubeMX but HCLK2 cannot be 16 MHz. Why?

After using STMCubeProgrammer 2.21 to set the RDP byte to BB, the board works fine, but Cube programmer is later unable  to access the board; I've tried different modes, under reset etc.  The disk folder shows when plugged in to the USB with FAIL.txt listing and a connection error message.This only started happening after updating the programmer a week ago.Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Thanks

Hello, I'm trying to follow the MOOC STM32CubeIDE tutorial on External interrupts with HAL (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_81fHydEoE&list=PLnMKNibPkDnFCosVVv98U5dCulE6T3Iy8&index=6) but on Nucleo-G474RE board with STM32CubeIDE 1.13.1.My confusion starts after the generation of code and checking the content of `stm32g4xx_hal_gpio.c` file. According to a tutorial, the section related to interrupts on falling edge supposed to look like this:```void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){/* EXTI line interrupt detected */if (__HAL_GPIO_EXTI_GET_RISING_IT(GPIO_Pin) != 0x00u){__HAL_GPIO_EXTI_CLEAR_RISING_IT(GPIO_Pin);HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Rising_Callback(GPIO_Pin);}if (__HAL_GPIO_EXTI_GET_FALLING_IT(GPIO_Pin) != 0x00u){__HAL_GPIO_EXTI_CLEAR_FALLING_IT(GPIO_Pin);HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Falling_Callback(GPIO_Pin);}} __weak void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Falling_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){UNUSED(GPIO_Pin);}```Instead, the generated code is:```void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){/* EXT

I'm using STM32Cube_FW_G4_V1.5.1 for testing a NUCLEO-G474RE board, but none of the examples worked at the first try. After importing them into STM32CubeIDE v1.13.0, I'm always getting this error message on sysmem.c: ../Application/User/sysmem.c:63:1: error: unknown type name 'caddr_t' 63 | caddr_t _sbrk(int incr) | ^~~~~~~ ../Application/User/sysmem.c: In function '_sbrk': ../Application/User/sysmem.c:76:25: error: 'caddr_t' undeclared (first use in this function) 76 | return (caddr_t) -1; | ^~~~~~~ With reference to the solution posted into this thread:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcu/core-src-sysmem-c-38-1-error-unknown-type-name-caddr-t/td-p/56309I have been able to fix all included examples for all boards by doing a search & replace into all sysmem.c files and I replaced all 'caddr_t' with 'void *'.I'm reporting this issue, so that it could be fixed into a newer release of that package, since it has been quite easy to do, afterall.Sincerely.

Hello ST Team,I have a huge TouchGFX project (80+ Screens, several Containers,  400+ images), which I am currently working at using version 4.21.4 (generated with Cube V. 6.8.0). This version is working perfectly. I can generate code, add screens and so on. As this is not yet a released project, I thought it would be good to convert it to the latest version 4.22.0. However this fails to load the project at all. The designer simply closes after 2 minutes (when the project would normally appear) without any comment or other error message. I can not send the project to you as it is confidential and furthermore it is not a standalone project. There is a second CPU involved. It is a custom board with LCD 480x800.How can I help to find the reason for this crash ?Best regards GS

Hi,I'm having an issue building TouchGFX project in new VSCode extenstion. When building cmake is throwing an error:cannot find -ltouchgfx-float-abi-hard: No such file or directory.Project is builiding and compiling in STM32CubeIDE just fine.

Hi,After reading the document I understand the interrupts are handled by pin#, and we set GPIOsel within EXTI_ConfigTypeDef.My question is how do we determine which port generates the interrupt?Suppose I use PA0 and PB0, and I only want to use one callback function for them.void callback(){ if(port == GPIOA) { do something } else if(port == GPIOB) { do other thing }}Thank you

Hello dear engineers,I have gotten stuck in running SDIO on stm32f429igt6.No matter how hard I have tried, I wasn't able to successfully use FATFS with SDIO and stm32f429igt6. My code is attached. the f_mount function with immediate force on mounting return fr_no_filesystem. I use SANDISK SD Card with 16GB formatted with FAT32. Any help would be appreciated. Neither KEIL nor CUBEIDE compiler show different behavior. Furthermore, is it possible to run NTFS on stm32f429?

I created a project from the uart_printf example and it does not compileI'm using STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.13.1 (STM32CubeF7 Firmware Package V1.17.0 / 10-June-2022)eval board: NUCLEO-746ZGI didn't change any settings, I created the project from the example and compiled.The errors I get are:in function `_close_r': (.text._close_r+0xc): warning: _close is not implemented and will always failin function `_fstat_r': (.text._fstat_r+0xe): warning: _fstat is not implemented and will always failin function `_isatty_r': (.text._isatty_r+0xc): warning: _isatty is not implemented and will always failin function `_lseek_r': (.text._lseek_r+0x10): warning: _lseek is not implemented and will always failin function `_read_r': (.text._read_r+0x10): warning: _read is not implemented and will always failin function `_write_r': (.text._write_r+0x10): warning: _write is not implemented and will always fail I've attached a file with the full output of the

Hi Community,I realise that this may be a very newbie question:I have run all the steps as seen on the Wiki,I followed these steps to the letter: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/PC_prerequisitesFolowed by:mkdir -p st/buildcd st/buildrepo init -u https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/oe-manifest.git -b refs/tags/openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21repo sync DISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp15-disco source layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.shbitbake st-example-image-qtwaylandAll these steps were completed successfully :heavy_check_mark:I'm looking at the tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp15-disco/ directory and I am unable to figure out which of these I need to flash on to the SD card using etcher on my PC.Could someone help point me in the right direction?Thanks,

Hello,I'm just going to evaluate the usage of the STM32G031G6U3 on a small sensor board.As never used this type of MCU before could you recommend any related Eval Board and Programming/Debugging Tool.In addition, is there any detailed description beside the datasheet who to connect the pins?E.g. NRST - can it be used as reset output to bring the complete circuit in a defined state.Best Regards,Josef
