The development board selection is fine, and we can proceed with the SPC58EC evaluation/development board.Before moving forward with the custom hardware design, I would like to clarify the debugging and programming interface.Initially, I considered using the StellarLINK in-circuit debugger/programmer. However, the STMicroelectronics website currently lists StellarLINK as NRND (Not Recommended for New Design).Therefore, could you please suggest the recommended alternative debugger/programmer for the SPC58EC series that is suitable for a new design?Please suggest the recommended debugger and corresponding JTAG connector/pin configuration so that we can finalize the PCB design accordingly.Thanks and Regards,Aravind

Hello ST Support Team,I am currently working with SPC5 Studio 6.0 and facing issues with debugging my SPC560B50 project. The IDE fails to launch with the error message:"Error with command: gdb --version / Cannot run program 'gdb': Launching failed."I have verified that SPC5 Studio 6.0 does not include the arm-none-eabi-gdb.exe file in its installation directories. Could you please clarify: Does SPC5 Studio 6.0 require an external installation of the GNU ARM Embedded Toolchain to provide GDB? If so, which version of the toolchain is officially supported and recommended for SPC5 Studio 6.0? Are there specific configuration steps to correctly link SPC5 Studio 6.0 with the external GDB executable? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated, as this issue is blocking my ability to debug projects with SPC5 Studio.Thank you, Anand

Hello,I am facing a connection issue with SPC5 Flash Programmer version 2.8.1 when using UART communication with SPC560B64.Setup:Target MCU: SPC560B64External crystal: 8 MHzInterface: UCUART::HybridCom/7/UARTSame hardware setup as previously used successfullySPC5 Flash Programmer v2.7.9 works correctly on an older PC, v2.8.1 (and newer) fails to connect.The software stays in “Connection phase starting” and continuously retries, the UART interface LED does not blink. No connection is established.Same SPC560B64 device, same UART interface and wiringAre there any required driver updates, configuration changes, or compatibility notes for newer versions?

does spc58 has motor control solution like BLDC or brush motor?

Hi,I am using an SPC560B40L5 with ChibiOS/AutoDevKit Studio.The hardware design is already finalized, so I cannot change the wake-up circuitry. Because of this limitation, I use the RTC to wake the MCU periodically every 200 ms. After each wake-up, I only check a few GPIOs to determine whether a real wake-up event has occurred. If no event is detected, the MCU immediately enters STOP mode again. No peripherals are reinitialized unless a valid wake-up event is detected.The sleep/wake-up sequence works correctly during normal operation. However, I am facing a strange issue after reprogramming the MCU.After downloading new firmware (without removing power), the MCU freezes in:while (ME.IS.R == 0U){}inside:SPCSetRunMode(SPC5_RUNMODE_STOP);The board must support in-field reprogramming through the diagnostic interface (without a power cycle), but after programming the MCU usually remains stuck until the power is removed and applied again.Interestingly, if I disable the periodic RTC wake-up a

Hi All,We are developing a BMS application using the SPC560B50L1 microcontroller with SPC5 Studio, and need help with two topics:1) Low-Power Mode Wakeup via PA4 (WKPU9)We want to put the SPC560B50L1 into a low-power mode (STOP/STANDBY) and wake it up using pin PA4, which maps to WKPU channel 9 as per the SPC560Bxx Reference Manual (RM0017, Table 96 - Wakeup Vector Mapping).However, in SPC5 Studio, under "SPC560BCxx Low Level Drivers Component RLA" -> "Enabled Drivers", there is no dedicated WKPU driver option available (unlike some other device families, e.g. SPC582Bxx, which do expose a WKPU checkbox).Could someone please help with:- The correct/recommended way to configure WKPU9 (PA4) as a system wakeup source on SPC560B50L1 within SPC5 Studio- Any example project or reference code demonstrating:  a) EIRQ/WKPU channel configuration for a specific pin  b) Enabling system wakeup capability (WRER register or equivalent) so the configured pin can wake the MCU from STOP/STANDBY mode 

The SPC563M64L5 does not have an inbuilt SHE module. I need to perform cryptographic functions for one of my applications running on this controller.Could anyone let me know if a cryptographic library is available for the SPC563M64L5? If so, where can I find it?

Am using Engine Control eTPU Library (AN4907SW) in the SPC563M64L5 device.And in the source files, there is a piece of code which needs to be enabled for MPC5500 devices as it is mentioned in the comment that “an errata 2477 is present on MPC5500 devices”. Since SPC563M64L5 device is almost similar to MPC5634M device which is MPC5500 family as both jointly developed. does these errata applicable to SPC563M64L5 as well?

Even though in the documentation there is an explicit paragraph declaring that “Exclusive monitor” are present (I cannot copy here, the documentation states that I’m not allowed), but my test seems to prove otherwise.If I try to use ldrex/strex on a variable i SRAM (MPU RASR configured for Shareable, Non-Cacheable, Non-Buffereable) I get a BusError, if I remove the Shareable bit the the exclusive mechanism do not work.Could someone confirm my analysis?Regards

Dear community, I have reviewed the following sections in the reference manual:86.5.1 Censorship86.5.2 Debug Interface AccessThese sections describe the mechanisms for disabling the debug port.After organizing and analyzing the relevant content, my current understanding is as follows: We first generate a hex file to configure the device lifecycle to the In-Field stage. In this state, the debug port will be disabled when the Lock3[DBL] bit is in the locked state.However, I have noticed the following warning in the documentation. Could you please provide the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both enabling and disabling the debug port?It would be greatly appreciated if reference code or timing diagrams could be attached. Thank you in advance for your support.Best regards

Hello!I am studying the SPC58NH92E7. My chose of MCU is driven by the need to have two Fast Ethernet transceivers operating simultaneously.I'm looking for baremetal (no OS) example for 100BASE-TX. Has anyone come across examples like this? I couldn't one among the standard examples in SPC5Studio without FreeRTOS.The standard approach in SPC5Studio is to use FreeRTOS. I have tried with FreeRTOS + RMII PHY. It's work correctly. Next step - baremetal application with ethernet promiscuous mode. I need to receive simple IPv4 UDP packets.And another question. Where can I find documentation for components/spc5_network_components_rla? "Generate SPC5 Application" doesn't generate any documentation for this. No "doc" folder inside "spc5_network_components_rla".

Hello!I am studying the SPC58NH92E7.I'd like to clarify some terms and definitions. Below, I’ll explain how I understand these terms. Please correct me if I’m wrong.Project examples in SPC5Studio are divided into two classes: "RLA" and "cut2_RLA".RLA here is Register Level Access, correct?What does it mean "cut2"? Lock-step core (vs "cut1" regular core)?Some of the examples are for FreeRTOS, and some are for OSLess. Does "OSLess" here mean that the example doesn't use an operating system? After all, "OSLess" isn't the name of a specific operating system, is it?

For SPC582B, which development IDE is recommeded for code debug and run? Does PLS JTAG debugger software ok to run some demo when using SPC582B-DIS discovery board?

Are HAL drivers and/or LL driver available for SR5E1E3 or E1E5?Where can be found?I saw some HAL LL drivers fin the MCTK SR5E1x Motor Control Toolkit 1.3.0 folder in Stellar Studio (\StellarStudio-9.0\contrib\SR5E1_MCTK-1.3.0\) but they are not present for all peripherals.Drivers present in SDK are not HAL style and seems not complete Thanks
