Hello!I am looking to do a project with STM32WB5MMGH6TRLooking at the datasheet:"-  Dedicated Arm® Cortex®-M0+ for radio and security tasks-  Dedicated Arm® Cortex®-M4 CPU with FPU and ART (adaptative real-time   accelerator) up to 64 MHz speed- 1-Mbyte Flash memory, 256-Kbyte SRAM "When I create an STM32CubeIDE project with STM32WB5MMGH6TR, I see the correct pins and everything.Just to test the flash memory space, I added a couple of two dimensional arrays until I got error that flash is full. This is the maximum amount of flash that I can load (so about half a Mbyte, not the 1-Mbyte that was said in datasheet. If I add a 128x128 image to the memory too, I get"c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.10.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.0.202111181127\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: wb5_compile_test.elf section `.rodata' will not fit in region `FLASH'c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.10.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\

I have a list of Menu items. I'm handling the navigation with buttons. When curser/pointer pointed on a particular menu Item, The existing text should look darker than other items. Example (Sorry about the poor outline :grinning_face_with_sweat:). Seeking Help on: How to make text looks darker on run time ?Thanks in advance,

Is there any way to achieve this desired noise sensitivity using the ADXL3555 accelerometer. Maybe using filter? Appreciate the help.

Hello im creating one of my first stm32 boards and need some help ive watched many tutorials about decoupling capacitors and have referenced what i could from the datasheet could anyone confirm if this decoupling setup would work or if modifications are needed:grinning_face:. I am using a usb-c connector for programming and power with an ams1117 3.3 volt regulator with the appropriate solid tantalum capacitors. For a little more info these are all smd 0603 capacitors and the component marked fb1 is a ferrite bead with a resitance of 120ohms at 100mhz.

I've been working on a project based on the STM32U575 Nucleo board for some months now. I just updated STM32CubeIDE yesterday and I noticed the ThreadX memory pool size option in "Middleware and Software Packs -> THREADX ->Memory Configuration" has shrunk to a max of 201.216K bytes. Previously it was something a little bit larger, can't remember the exact number but at least a few K larger. The application I am writing needs nearly all the available memory on the chip, north of 700K. Since I've started this project, I've been manually updating the definition for the TX_APP_MEM_POOL_SIZE in app_azure_rtos_config.h to something suitably large after making changes in CubeMX and haven't noticed any issues, but I've always wondered why this memory pool size limitation is imposed. The new update and shrinking of the max mem pool size has only served to remind me of this. Can anyone explain exactly why this memory limit is so small in comparison to available ram? I've read the

Hi,I encounter a performance issue on the qt5 application on STM32MP135. I build a simple application with three plaintextedit objects showing temperature with 1s period from ds18b20. Everything compiles well and works, but the refreshing temperature on plaintextedit consumes 80% of the CPU (only refreshing after that go to 10% or less)Maybe someone has a similar problem to my. The same application on STM32MP157 works perfectly response on the screen and consumes only 10 to 20% in peak on CPU load. In my opinion, something is wrong with the compilation optionsI built it like for STM32MP157 without accepting EULA (this model has no graphics on board). bitbake -k st-example-image-qt -c populate_sdk bitbake -k st-example-image-qt  Thanks for any hintsBRMichal

I am using a B-G431B-ESC1 inverter board to run a 36v 10A hub motor. The board is based on the STM32G431CB microcontroller so I am using the STM motor control environment to generate code for this project. Their Motor Control Workbench has a motor profiling program to get the specs from a custom motor like the one I am using. From this motor profile, along with many other parameters, STM32CubeMX generates code for the B-G431B-ESC1. We then upload this code through the STM32cubeIDE and try to run the motor with the ST motor pilot. The problem is the code never seems to work right. The motor doesn’t run and returns one of a few errors depending on the parameters we set up in the Motor control workbench. Is there some parameter we are missing that is important for this board? Since we are staying within the STM environment it doesn’t make sense that the generated code keeps failing. It’d be great to get a response soon as I am trying to figure this out in the next week. I can provide more

I developed my first canbus bootloader for a stm32f105.Now im in need to use that same bootloader in a stm32f072.The bootloader works but im unable to build a program that starts from a flash address other than 0x8000000..... How are multi programm apps being programmes in stm32f0xx families?

I am working on stm32f407vg as the mcu for my mobile robot. I use encoder and limit switch sensors and supply it by 5v from lipo battery (through 5A step down converter). stm32 keep overheating the longer i use it. Is it because i supply the sensors with 5v instead of 3.3v?

Hi,We are currently working on a project that involves utilizing the STM32MP13X MPU. Our device operates in both ACM and Mass Storage Mode, and we would like to inquire about the process of obtaining a custom name for the virtual serial COM port generated by the STM32MP13X when connected via USB.Specifically, we would like to understand the steps involved in acquiring a custom name for the virtual serial COM port and also a new product ID. We got know that ST offers sub-licensing for this instead of getting a vendor ID from usb.orgAny guidance on how we can get a distinct name? We aim to have a distinct name for our COM port to enhance the user experience and differentiate our product in the market.

Hello,I am not sure if this is the right place to report a documentation errors! There is a typo in Table 11 in page 99. The address should be 0x0803 F000

I have an application that requires two STHS34PF80 sensors on the same I2C bus. I tried using N-FETs on the SDA lines to select between them but this doesn't work, not sure why. I will try the 3-wire SPI bus but I am not sure my current MCU API suports this without some development. I would like to know how the chip select works. If the STHS34PF80 is on an I2C bus but the CS pin is held LOW, does it simply ignore any activity on the SDA or SCL lines? In other words, can I use the CS pin on the STHS34PF80 as an I2C chip select, toggling between one or the other to configure or read data via I2C? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Has anyone had any luck getting this running? I'm on a Win10 PC, using Cube 1.7.0 & installed Mylyn 3.23 (both latest). It looks like it installs ok, but there is no View Menu entry that I can find to access the views.Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hello,I have been learning using a NUCLEO-F401RE and am now looking to start using a board that I designed that has an STM32F4 chip as well as some other things (e.g., some memory, micro usb) on it.On the (ubuntu) VM, I have installed usbutils, openocd, and stlink-tools. I When running "st-info --probe" I was expecting to see details about the STLink on the Nucleo board, but instead received the message "Found 0 stlink programmers".It seems like the VM is not seeing the usb device as being connected to the STLink (see below), but I don't know how to remedy that. How can I get the VM to recognize that one of these usb ports is connected to the STLink on the NUCLEO board?vagrant@vagrant:~$ lsusbBus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hubBus 002 Device 005: ID 0e0f:0002 VMware, Inc. Can someone please point me at a document that identifies any changes in the STM32H743 between the original 400MHz capable version and the latest 480MHz versionThanks

Hi,I have migrated an old project of mine based on STM32H743ZIT MCU fromSTM32CubeIDE v1.5.1 to v1.11.0. When I opened the IOC configuration, the clock configuration showed an error stating that I could not set the CPU clock to a value greater than 200 MHz despite the MCU supporting 480 MHz. This exact configuration worked on CubeIDE 1.5.1 The error that I get is:D1CPRE clock must be <= 200 MHzHere is a snapshot of my clock configuration. So I started another empty project based on STM32H743ZIT MCU in Cube IDE 1.11.0 to test if this issue is due to the migration of the project, however, I found that I still have the same error there. I searched ST Community and I found some people have reported the same problem/bug:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000hPphXSAS/stmh743zi2-cubemx-clock-setup-max-frequency-not-allowedhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001B11UhSAJ/stm32hz-mx-clock-configuration-480mhzBased on the discussion in the previous questions, the s

Hello,  I am new to ST boards, so please bear with me! I am trying to get a vibration reading from a beam using a piezoelectric sensor through an analog pin (ADC reading). I noticed in experiment that the timing of the piezoelectric sensor was not quite right. I thought it was a clock issue so I went through and made sure my timer was fine, and from what I gathered it is working fine. However, my piezo signal still lags compared to what it is expected to do. I added a DC battery to the loop attached to the analog pin that is being read using ADC to troubleshoot and that's when I noticed an issue. When the program starts running, the pin reading starts at 0 and then slowly goes up until it reaches the battery voltage - plot attached below. I flicked the piezo as well in this plot to make sure it was working, but the main issue is the time it takes to achieve the battery's voltage. I am not an expert in electrical components, but this seems to suggest that there is a capacitor being

I don't know fi this is the correct place for this question... It's realy more about objcopy than touch_gfx. But on the other hand if somebody else have the problem it suites fine here...I have my assets (ExtFlashSection, FontFlashSection and TextFlashSection) in an external QSPI flash. Now I have a demand for OTA, and since th bin file coveres a large area of "nothing" between the internal and external flash the logical thing is to split it in two half using objcopy. This works fine if I remove ExtFlashSection and relocalte FontFlashSection and TextFlashSection to the internal memory of my stm32f7 mcu.But I would like to put all my sections that are loaded to "qspi_flash_memory" to a separate bin file. (I have some other big segments going to my qspiflash aswell)I have not been able to figure out how (if even possible) to get multipple sections (perhaps even a "MEMORY" defined in my linker file) in the correct order with objcopy.I guess it would be possible to remove all "unwanted

HelloI am new user of a STM products. Now I am developing a board based on STM32G474RET6 MCU.I want to connect STDC14  connector for JTAG programming through STLINK-V3SET.I understand that pull-up and pull down resistors on JTCK, JTMS and JTDI are integrated inside MCU.But what about connection of series low value resistors (20-100 ohm) to place on a mentioned above lines + JTDO?These resistors on a high-speed signals helpful for a signal integrity and etc..I see these resistors on STM32G4 DPOW Discovery board and STM32G4 Nucleo-64 board of STM32G474RET6 between MCU and embedded STLINK-V3E, but not from MCU and STDC14 connector?Additional question: the T_NRST (pin 12 of STDC14 connector) - is an output of reset signal produced on a board to external debugger, or an input of evaluation board from the debugger?Thank you.

In the Application Note for the ST Bootloader, DFU bootloader commands such as DFU_DNLOAD are specified. Where would I, as a programmer, use these commands? When communicating with the STM32 microcontroller using the ST Programmer via the command line, I have different commands. Does this mean the ST Programmer is an Application that uses that commands for its communication with the MC bootloader?

Hello, in my project I need to read an encoder that clocks out data with clock burst. For this I decided to use UART with clock generation and DMA. (I also mixed up RX from one UART to another , but this is not a problem if request happens at the same time which it does)I have multiple DMA channels running, so I would like to think I set up everything correctly. In order to receive, I have to make fake TX bursts, since clocks are not generated only in RX mode. For this I have 4 streams ( 3 4 5 6 ). And TX works great, I get clock burst at CK pin of USART peripheral (both of them at the same time) BUt I get TE DMA errors at receiving and, and I Get no data, and Can’t understand the reason why. I am also using correct memory for that DMA with memory protection unit. I have no problem in other DMA channels using same memory location. (0x2400000 location of AXI RAM)And this is what I get :Clock is nice, and I get data from the encoder, no problem. Gaps in clock are allowed as long as they a

i am having problem when i try to use demo or create a project, these errors keep repeating even when i restart the app i have uninstalled 4.21.3 and installed the latest version but it keeps crashing.Did I skip any steps during code generation or initial setup?4.21.4 4.21.3.

Hi,I saw that it is possible to flash firmware via the Cube Programmer and the System Bootloader. Is it also possible to update the device through the system bootloader from a USB stick? Also, does someone have a suggestion where I can find more information about the build- in bootloader other than the application note? Thank you very much

Hello Community! We are building a Condition monitoring platform, and need to interface a MEMS based Accelerometer with the STM32G4 at a distance of 3M. I would like to know if someone has had first-hand experience using Quad Differential Drivers & Receivers for transmitting the SPI over Differential line & then interfacing the TTL with STM32.Also feel free to suggest to me any alternative approach for transmitting SPI over a distance of 2-3m. Data rates are low (6KB/s) & one way from the sensor to the MCU. We can invest in good quality cables (Shielded & twisted pairs)Quad Differential Drivers & Reveicers I am considering are:Driver: 4/0 AM26LS31Receiver: 0/4 AM26LS32Regards

Hi, for a STM32F303RE I configured a pin as an ADC input. I want to use the pullup/pulldown resistors as a voltage divider for an offset voltage. I tried to switch on both in ADC mode, that did not work. Everything is fine with the pin configured as an input. Is there a solution to this?THX Cheers Detlef
