Hi, I'm using a STM32F407VGTx, trying to use MQTT on this microcontroller.I first made a test program on a NUCLEO dev kit (also a F4 controller) and it worked. Now I get an error and it doesn't want to connect to my PC which is the broker. I have tried the following things:- I have made sure my firewall doesn't block port 1883 en 8883.- I can ping the controller.- I made an extra init flag to make sure that the init code runs first before trying to subscribe or connect to anything. I got the following error first: ERR_RTE = -4 which is a routing problem. But his has changed and now I get:Assertion "mqtt_sub_unsub: client != NULL" failed at line 1183 in ../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/apps/mqtt/mqtt.c(so I'm not sure if the previous error is fixed) I'm not immediately sure what the problem can be. For more context i'm using freertos and have given the task a stack size of 256 words. I have included the code from the task. Anyone have any ideas? Kind regards,&n

Hello,In the RM0399 58.1 it is mentioned that EMMC is supported up to Version 4.51. I want to use the part  IS22TF08G-JCLA2 which supports a number of emmc interfaces up to 5.1 are these parts compatible?

Hi,  For my application I need the following, I want to store variables in Flash memory, in order to preserve the data after a Hardware reset. My approach is as follows: 1.) Modify the linker script to keep a page of flash memory outside of the program memory. -> Outcome, This I did correctly as seen below, My flash memory boundaries in the RM and Datasheet for my MCU is shown below: So, we can see that I have 2 pages free (4 K), where the program will not be stored. [The RAM is in the SRAM, which is not in the flash segment of the memory , so this is leaved as is]. 2.) Modify the Variable which loads the vector table into flash. -> Outcome: This is shown below ,found in the system_stm32g0xx.c file.  The questions:With the above facts in mind. Without even  touching the empty blank flash pages. My application after a hardware reset does not run, my code does not run after the controller experienced a hardw

Hi team  Greetings of the day! We are planning to perform board programming with STM32 controllers through command line toolset. Could you please provide us customized command lines for programming through GUI. Below listed are the two controllers we are planning to program.  1.STM32H563RI 2.STM32G431MBT Anticipating earliest response.

Hope all is going well. I'm trying to ping STM32H743ZI NUCLEO 144 using LWIP middle-ware. Code generated by CubeMX. Configurations: Set the HCLK to 400 MHz Enabled the CPU ICache and DCache (under Cortex_M7 Configuration) Enabled MPU (Region0, Region1 & Region2) Enabled LWIP Selected LAN8742 as the Driver_PHY (under LwIP>Platform Settings) DHCP disabled (IP, MASK: 255,255,255,000 , Gateway: Modem IP) RTOS disabled LWIP_HTTPD (LWIP_HTTPD_CGI & LWIP_HTTPD_SSI enabled) LWIP_HTTPD_MAX_TAG_NAME_LEN set to 16 ICMP enabled (LWIP_BROADCAST_PING and LWIP_MULTICAST_PING in LwIP Key Options>IPMP Options). Code Generated for Keil V5 MX_LWIP_Process added to the main function in While loop. while(1) { MX_LWIP_Process(); } I don't know how should I configure the CubeMX or change the generated code to be able to ping my board.sir can you please share the working code please :folded_hands:

It's not mentioned in the Databrief or AN4894 or elsewherehttps://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-eeprom.html So it's AN4061 instead ?

Posted on December 06, 2017 at 18:06Hello,I'm using STM32cubemx and I have created a project using UART in 9-bit configuration. The code is generated and I can find the 'HAL_UART_Transmit' function but the pData parameter is a 8-bit pointer:HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_UART_Transmit(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout)pData should be a 16-bit parameter. I cannot understand how can I send a 9-bit data with this function. Is it a bug in STM32CubeMX?ThanksIBRA

Hello Friends, I am looking forward to select the STM32 series micro-controller for my application i.e. STM32F407VET6 with Ethernet PHY interface of LAN8742a. I need to support the BACnet/IP on it. Can you confirm the below queries: 1) Does ST have any BACnet stack implementation for STM32 series controller?  If yes, Is it paid or free version? 2) Does the  STM32 series controllers support the opensource BACnet stack for BACnet/IP? 3) Does any other microcontroller from support open source BACnet/IP stack? if possible, could you suggest a demo example of stm32 with BACnet IP stack ? Kindly check this and let me know. Hoping to hear from you soon   Thanks and Regards, Prajwal Bhuse design@avyannatech.com

Hai All, We can configure a GPIO pin either as a Push-Pull or Open-drain configuration. Can anybody explain briefly, what are the applications of Open Drain configuration?

Hi all Thanks in advance. Can some one help me to select an stm32 chip which have 4 PWM channels , 4 analog out and in 3X3 qfn package? I attached a sample product. Kindly help me to select some more similar products.

To implement a "bridge" devise between two independent CAN buses, the STM32F105R8 chip was chosen. From the specifications it follows that it has 2 CAN buses, but going deeper into it I realized that they share a lot of resources among themselves.could you help me clarify the following:1. can this chip, from a software/hardware point of view, support 2 CAN buses operating at different speeds CAN1=250kbps and CAN2=500kbps for example?2. the delay in sending messages from CAN1 to CAN2 is critical for this device, could someone let me know if problems can arise with this?3. are there any restrictions on the maximum number of TX/RX messages (CAN_IDs) for two buses? As far as I understand, CAN filters are shared to CAN1 and CAN2... Thanks in advance everyone for your help!

Hello,I am dealing with fixed-point arithmetic calculations on STM32G0.To avoid integer overflow risks I have scaled properly all the values involved in calculations, but a mistake can be always possible...On Texas Instruments DSPs, I have the possibility to switch the integer overflow mode, from wrap to saturate, thanks to a couple of intrinsic instructions. Is there such a possibility also on Cortex processors (and in particular on Cortex M0+)?Thank you,Carlo

Does not appear to be an appropriate label for my question. I can't find schematic for this board so I can map pins.  I read that this info is in user guide, but don't see it listed in user guide for the board here: https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-wb55rg.html#documentation     What am I missing?  The development board will be hard to use without board documentation.   -John

Hi,I've ran into an issue which is about start address of an application. I'm using an own bootloader to switch between two different applications. For the application I changed the start address in FLASH.id file to 0x08040000. That works perfectly fine.My problem occurs when I try to jump to the second application at 0x080a0000. It works too but the first application at 0x08040000 will be ran again.I figured out that it is because of the start address which is in both cases the same, 0x08040000. So probably the bootloader jumps to reset vector of 0x080a0000 and from there it jumps back to 0x08040000. If I change the start addres of the second application to 0x080a0000 everything works fine and I can jump from one to the other. Is there any way to provide an offset or so to keep the second application running in 0x080a0000 even if their start address is 0x08040000?I'd like to keep only two parts of the flash for the applications instead of three and copiing the data

Using STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1.  Running LwIP_Server_socket_RTOS on a Nucleo-H723ZG board. When I change #define LWIP_DHCP to zero my DHCP stuff is not grayed out.  It definitely starts using static IP, I'm able to connect and see the web pages.  I'm used to IDE's responding to #define changes, should I not expect this with CubeIDE?

From the application schematics of VNF9Q20F, seperating my ground planes for CReg and DVcc but wouldnt DEV_GND (straight from the VNF9Q20F at the bottom) be connected as well instead of to battery ground? Shown as the drawn orange connection. Or both?

Hi, I have an issue with CubeIDE and ST-LINK.I'm trying USART communication with STM32F0F4, I write code and debug but I don't get COM Port. In device manager there is no port showing. I installed st-link009.In CubeIDE, i tried both St-Link GDB Server and OpenOCD for debug probe but didn't work.I using Tera Term for COM Port connection, ST-Link not showing.

So as these things go I have an, two actually, ST NUCLEO-H503RB dev board that I cannot get the debugger to work with it.  My colleague on the other side of the country has the same boards and a similar setup and he is having no problems debugging.  We have also verified that the zero ohm jumpers on his board match my board (in case there was an install error at the factory). This is the error I get in Windows / Linux and different versions of the IDE: Error in final launch sequence:Failed to start GDB serverFailed to start GDB serverError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: (255) Unknown. Please check power and cabling to target. Here is what we have checked. Our jumpers are the same are in the same configuration and in the recommended positions for on-board ST-Link debugging (JP2/JP6 installed, 5V_STLN installed, JP1 not installed)We are using the same project. The firmware on the on-board ST-Link's have been updated to the latest version (that the IDE prog

Hello.I would use a static graph to display data. In the handletickevent function, I update the addDataPoint(x data, y data) function for the given page, but nothing appears on the graph, the scale is fine, but no line or change in the x direction can be seen on the display. I am currently using the tickcounter++ variable value for X data, which also increases in debug. For X data, I entered 0min, 200max data in the touchgfx program. I also tried the dynamic graph. Thanks if anyone can help.

Will there be any input impedence for the gpio's of stm32f429 If yes what is the value.

Hi all,I write to you because I would like to understand if it is really necessary to use an RTOS. I always develop projects with different ST processors (F4 and F7) without using RTOS. In those projects the F4/F7 processors communicate with many hardware components using SPI, I2C, RS232, GPIO and PWM. Now I need to increase the communication speed on the RS232, because I need do send few mega bytes of data every second and for that reason I need to integrate the USB with Full Speed or High Speed. Then in another new project I have to handle also a small OLED display. For all these reasons I'm thinking about the possibility to use Azure RTOS that seems well integrated with CubeMX, but I do not know which benefits I could obtain and if I could have some side effects both from performance point of view and also from developing time point of view.In this situation is it really necessary a RTOS?Which advantages and disadvantages could I have using a RTOS? Let me know!Thank you very mu

Hello,The chip I am currently using is SPC560P50L3, I need a unique MCU ID for calculation, but I checked the MCU ID registers of the two chips and found that the information is the same, MIDR1=0x56042416, MIDR2=0xA8005011. is this normal?Or if there is any other unique ID for this chip, please let me know, Thanks.

Hello, I am trying to use STM32g071rb to control ST25DV16 chip. I found out that we can use middleware X-CUBE-NFC4 to code on stm32cubeIDE better. Question 1 is that when l tried to use I2C1 to connect with ST25DV16, l found out that I2C1 will no longer be automatically initialized in the code, and l wondered why. The second question is that after l configured X-CUBE-NFC4, why won't it initialize in the code as well and l can't initialize it myself because when it tries to do ST25DV_ReadReg() in ST25DV_Init(), the debugger will jump to HardFault_Handler(). The pictures below are my configurations. Thanks.

Hi,I am implementing the st25r3916 firmware to be used in my reader. I have taken the code of "X-NUCLEO NFC06A1".To make the authentication, I am able to send the command 0x60 + block number; I receive the answer and I send the next message with the key and I receive an answer from the card with length 4 bytes, but I have the status of the reader  "RFAL_ERR_PAR". But when I check the received 4 bytes, they are the right ones. I am using the flags:RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_TX_MANUAL|RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_KEEP|RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_NFCIP1_OFF |RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_AGC_ON|RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_RX_REMV|RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_TX_NONE|RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_MANUALIn order to continue with the reading, I was ommiting this error, and I am sending the command 0x30 to read, with the encryption (I know this part is well done due I have it already running in the st25r3911), in this case I am using next flags:RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_TX_MANUAL | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_KEEP | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_NFCIP1_OFF | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS

Hi, i create a pipeline to compile a cubeide project with the cubeide in a docker container. on azure.the docker container is linux based as i found no solution to do a headless cubeide installation on windows(or is there a way?)in my project settings one of the build steps is to call a batch file for some code generation stuff. (this is needed during development so it does not get forgotten) normal development happens on a windows system.(it would not be necessary to do the codegeneration step if the project is compiled on the buildserver)as expected this does not work if i start the batch file in the linux headless build environment and it throws a error codeis there a way to skip this buildstep somehow? because at the moment this steps generates an error exit code which fails my complete build pipeline.to discard every errorcode is not an option because i cannot distinguish between a compile error and a buildstep error (or am i missing sth?)regards
