I'm working with a nucleo-L432kc board. I use a mac, VSC, Platformio and I use screen as a terminal. I used MXcube to setup a UART to use the VCP. MX cube generates the code. I have followed the instructions from several online sources to get it to work, but no luck seeing any output with "screen". I must be missing something fundamental. Does anyone have working sample code for this board I can look at to see what I'm doing wrong.

Hi ST Community,I am working on a bootloader for my STM32H735 board, and I'm encountering issues with setting the Vector Table Offset Register (VTOR) correctly for my application, which is loaded at address 0x90000000. The main problem I'm facing is that the Ethernet interrupt is not firing as expected, which leads me to believe that the VTOR might not be correctly set. Here's a brief overview of my setup:Bootloader Configuration:My bootloader is running from the internal flash, and it attempts to jump to the application located at 0x90000000. /* Bootloader Code */ #define APPLICATION_ADDRESS 0x90000000 typedef void (*pFunction)(void); pFunction JumpToApplication; void Bootloader_JumpToApplication(void) { /* Disable global interrupts */ __disable_irq(); /* Disable SysTick interrupt */ SysTick->CTRL = 0; /* Initialize user application's Stack Pointer */ __set_MSP(*(__IO uint32_t*) APPLICATION_ADDRESS); /* Set the Vector Table Offset Register to the application address

I am using STM32H745 MCU. My requirement is to receive 33 bits of data on SPI in slave mode. The master transmits 33 clocks. It is not possible to split the data as reconfiguration of SPI in between the clocks is difficult. Is there a way to read partially filled SPI data register? If I know the end of 33 clocks, and if the configure the data size is 32 bits, at the end of 33 clocks I can read 32 bits from the FIFO. The last 1 bit which will be available in the data register is to be read. The data register data doesn’t go to the FIFO for reading until 32 bits are received. How to resolve this issue?

Hi,I am trying to generate waveforms using the STM32H563 microcontroller and several AD5791 DAC ICs. I am using the ADG732 Multiplexer with 5 select lines to connect my CS line to the required DAC IC. A simplified image of the hardware is provided below: I have to generate triangle waveforms on two channels simultaneously. Generating the waveform on one channel at a time works perfectly. However, when I attempt to generate two waveforms on two channels, I get the following output:The two triangle waves have amplitudes of 1.5V and 2.5V, but the output of both channels appears on a single channel, while the second channel remains unchanged. The SPI frequency is 10MHz. I have configured two timers to trigger interrupts based on the frequency and sampling rate of the waveform. I am storing the amplitude values (100 samples) in two different lookup tables. Every time a timer interrupt is triggered, the select value of the multiplexer is changed, and a value from the LUT is transmitted

Running my application in the Simulator, after a few seconds on a screen with a ScrollList I get this assertion. Can anyone tell me what components use excessive amounts of these timer objects, so I can try to work around it?The same code running on the target runs fine. The ScrollListItems have several MoveAnimators, but only a few of them are running an animation. Do MoveAnimators use TimerWidgets?

I'm working on a project using an STM32H7 series MCU with FreeRTOS. I've customized the .ld file to configure the stack and have set up the internal ADC and DMA to continuously read and store ADC values. I've statically assigned the DMA data registers starting at 0x24000000. Initially, my project worked fine, but I needed to increase the execution speed, so I enabled compiler optimizations for speed. However, after enabling optimizations, I started experiencing a HardFault error which I've been unable to resolve. The error occurs only after the optimizations are turned on. Here are the settings and configuration details:MCU: STM32H7 seriesRTOS: FreeRTOSMemory Configuration: Customized .ld file, DMA data registers at 0x24000000Compiler Settings: Optimization for speed enabledI suspect the issue might be related to memory access or alignment due to the optimizations altering how quickly certain operations are executed. Has anyone faced a similar issue, or can anyone suggest potential fixe

STM32F746-Disco board; Windows 10, STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0, empty project, only CMSIS and nothing else.I'm writing an interrupt-based UART transmit driver with ring buffer on registers for the sake of learning (no DMA, that will come later, after I grow some IQ). Reading datasheet, reference manual and programming manual (for NVIC), I think I understand the stuff. The driver is not test-ready yet, it's work in progress, although the setup is done. I want to make sure I understand the stuff correctly. To the point: See the picture attached, top notch paint skills to explain how my uart tx ring buffer works. In written form: I have an array that I use as a ring buffer for transmission. There is a pointer to the element that is currently being sent and the "after last element" pointer. When I reach the last element of array, I move to the beginning of the array. Hence, ring buffer. Now, imagine I'm already sending something. At that moment I have another send request. What I do is I check how mu

Keil projects shows an error when I add more than 65 screens in the project (works fine with less than or equal to 65 screens). I checked this multiple times by creating multiple new projects and even multiple versions of cubemx and touchgfx designers still no luck. I have tried cubemx 5.3, cubemx 5.6, cube mx 6.0 basically every version since 5.3. I even tried diffrent touchgfx designers from 4.10 to 4.15. When I create the same project with more than 65 screens for STM32cubeIDE it works perfectly fine. Here's the procedure I followOpen touchGFX designerSelect my board STM32F469i-DISCO and Blank uiAdd 66 screen and 2-3 buttons Generate projectOpen cubemx file of project and select MDK ARM 5.28.0.0 Keil IDE and generate project for keilOpen project in keil Compile errors in meta.h file which is part of touchgfx framework and not a user fileIf if follow above steps for less than or equal to 65 screens It works fine. Hi there,I'm designing a very compact PCB. For the debug header I'm using 4-wire SWD with a 2x2 header on the board (specifically CLP-102-02-L-D). There's no keying or polarisation meaning that the programming lead could be plugged in in four different orientations, potentially connecting MCU VDD/GND from the ST-LINK to any of the pins on the board. Hopefully this image illustrates the (potential) problem:I haven't been able to find if there is any concern with connecting incorrect pins together. I know MCU VDD is a measured voltage, my only concern would be connecting GND from the ST-LINK to +3V£ on the board side; could this cause a short or is this all protected on the ST-LINK side? I have struggled to find a header that is small enough with some kind of keying to prevent invalid connections, but if there is a real possibility of damage to the board I will need to rethink this!Thank you for your help.

Hi there, I was unable to find any matching for this part below, some bi-directionnal TVS I presume, but "L06" returns nothing.I need your help ^^ thanks.Nicolas.

I have question about STM32H7 QUADSPI clock configuration. It seems STM32H7 contains two different source clocks. If I select HCLK3 as the clock source for the QUADSPI Clock Mux, how is the QUADSPI clock frequency calculated? Regardless of selecting HCLK3, will the QUADSPI clock still be calculated as PLL1Q / (Prescaler + 1)?

Hello,I have installed STM32CubeIDE v1.15.1 on Ubuntu 22.04 (from debian bundle archive 21094_20240412_1041).First, the Linux terminal shows a periodic error, not correlated to any user action, and which I suppose is not related with the other problems (see points 1 and 2 below) :Jun 11, 2024 1:21:25 PM java.util.prefs.FileSystemPreferences checkLockFile0ErrorCodeWARNING: Could not lock System prefs. Hi, we are studying option of upgrading one of our existing projects that already incorporates the VL53L5 sensor with the STs EdgeAI machine learning library, that would enable our product to use data from the ToF sensor to learn patterns and detect and recognise various objects, placed in front of sensor. Is this feasible with the NanoEdgeAI studio? In ideal world, we would use full 64 pixel resolution of sensor, but that might be too much of a load on MCU, so at least 4 or 6 pixels would probably do it.

Hi     i am configuration UART1 as default and Tx pin switching into GPIO then  reset (Low) the GPIO for 28 micro sec(delay)  and set(high) the GPIO then again switching to UART1. during switching waveform level  is intermediate as show in below. Nice to meet you.If you download and check the en.stm32cubeu5-v1-5-0.zip file (including patch), an example for STM32U585 SBSFU is included. I changed the source code for U585 to U575 according to the 'readme.htmi' instructions, but the build does not work properly and an error occurs.*****For IAR IDE:1- Go to "Options" and select "General Options" then in the "Target" field Select "device" to choose your device.2- Go to "Options" and select "C/C++ Compiler" then "Preprocessor" tab and change the compilation symbol (STM32U5A5xx, STM32U5A9xx, STM32U545xx or STM32U5G9xx instead of STM32U585xx).3- Go to "Options" and select "Build Actions" then in the "Prebuild command line" field change the compilation symbol (STM32U5A5xx, STM32U5A9xx, STM32U545xx or STM32U5G9xx instead of STM32U585xx).*****If you look at the content above, STM32U585xx is mentioned, but STM32U575xx is not. So, is it impossible to change it for STM32U575xx?If I can't change it, I'd like to get a concise example of STM32U5

Dear Community,I'm working on STM32H743ZIT6 based project. Here I want to set up 4 ADCs which have SPI interface. On developer's forum is said "If all ADCs will be sampled at the same point in time with the same settings, then the SCLK, CS, and SDI can be tied together".Also there mentioned: "Make sure the digital interface is able to drive all of the ADCs at once".Is STM32H743ZIT6 able to drive all of the ADCs at once?According to electrical characteristics:Digital high input voltage logic level - 0.7V x DVDD (min) / DVDD + 0.3V (max);Digital low input voltage logic level - -0.3 (min) / 0.2 x DVDD (max).DVDD = 3.3V Thanks!

Hi St-familyI'm encountering a problem transferring a bin file via UART on my Stm32f103c8t6. While UART3 functions correctly with a USB TTL converter, UART1 doesn't seem to establish a connection. I've verified the connections between the device's UART1 pins (TX and RX) and the USB TTL converter.I'm using the appropriate baud rate settings on both the device and the terminal software.

We had a custom board with STM32MP135F series MPU on it, we just rolled out a new revision because we didn't connected PDR pin and it wasnt able to start after reset. But everything was booting correctly and all systems were working. Now in our new revision, we just fixed the PDR and added the emmc but when I try to boot with all debug and log levels maxed, I get this error on my console and nothing else;    PANIC at PC : 0x2ffee107 Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffee107    I'm not sure this is TF-A output because all debug logging is allowed. It seems like its panicking at the end of SYSRAMI suspected my clock settings but the parts has not been changed, its the same crystal and same device tree settings should work. Also I'm able to boot with UART/USB mode and connect to device with UART (USB also doesnt work in this mode somehow), I can even load DDR utility binary with STM32Programmer CLI, but after the code downloads to target I loose conn

Hello,I am currently using the ST25R95 chip for NFC tag detection. We are encountering an issue during implementation: when metallic objects like a car smart key's battery holder are near the NFC antenna, the NFC tag cannot be detected.I would appreciate advice on how to ensure tag detection even in the presence of metallic objects like a battery holder.Environment:Integrated with nrf52832 chipAverage current consumption: 1.5mA (Idle), 2.5mA (During tag detection)Link to NFC antenna pattern image file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h11F8e41BnCNxySSYzelqbfN5afPVFeI/view?usp=sharing Thank you.

Hello,we are having an issue on the STM32H730 ; we would like to have a Timer Capture triggered by the USB OTG SOF signal. This should be straightforward since the USB1_OTG_HS_SOF signal is connected to TIM2 ITR5. However, we never managed to have the capture triggered by this signal. We use the following code:// Start the USB stack, etc.// Configure the TIM2 IC__TIM2_CLK_ENABLE();LL_TIM_IC_Config(TIM2, LL_TIM_CHANNEL_CH1, LL_TIM_ACTIVEINPUT_TRC | LL_TIM_IC_FILTER_FDIV1 | LL_TIM_IC_POLARITY_RISING);LL_TIM_SetTriggerInput(TIM2, LL_TIM_TS_ITR5);LL_TIM_IC_SetActiveInput(TIM2, LL_TIM_CHANNEL_CH1, LL_TIM_ACTIVEINPUT_TRC); LL_TIM_EnableCounter(TIM2);When there is USB audio traffic (that we also receive on the PC, so it is definitely working), the TIM2->CCR1 stays at zero and never changes (+ we have checked that the timer is counting of course). Also, when we enable the USB SOF IRQs, they are triggered indeed. But the timer capture still isn't triggered and stays at zero.&nb

hi,I created a simple project with TouchGfx 4.22.1 for STM32F746G-DISCO and added a label to check whether the LCD worked. However, the LCD did not display anything after downloading the code. According to the log of compiling the code as below, the file of 'stm32746g_discovery_lcd.c' in Drivers/BSP/STM32746G-Discovery/ was not compiled or included in the project. And the lcd driver is designed for RK043FN48H LCD while it should be KUNJIAN HT043C,May I know if there are any sample codes which can be run on the STM32F746G-DISCO version C01? STM32G071R8 & M95160-WMN6TP EEPROMWe have the DMA SPI TX direction working but are having issues with the data that is being returned. Technically this is a read from the EEPROM but the command and read address are sent first. The EEPROM responds with the 32 bytes of blank(0xFF). None of the data ends up in the DMA SPI RX buffer. When the DMA TX complete interrupt completes(when it's done transmitting 0x00 so we can receive data), the is nothing in the DMA buffer or even a 0xFF in SPI data register itself. The SPI is configured for full duplex and we have the DMA TX buffer(35 byte size) send out the read command and then 32 0x00's(three byte command + 32 blanks) so that the clock runs for the incoming data. The RX DMA is set to 32 bytes(3 less bytes.) This was done in the hope we could use the DMA RX transmit complete interrupt to know when the entire read of the data from the EEPROM was done(as suggested by @Nikita91 from this thread: detecting-the-complete-end-of-spi-transfer

I have a project where VREFBUF outputs 2.0xxV correctly without intervention. I created a new project and I see VREFBUF output stuck at 0V, and I'm not sure what's causing the changed behavior.  I inspected the VREFBUF_CSR register and I see ENVR=1 and HIZ=1. When I set HIZ=0 via StLink, I see the VREFBUF output pop to the correct value. I don’t see CubeIDE options to set this explicitly, but it appears there is some setting that manipulates this value. What should I look at?I tried adding both of the below lines to set the HIZ bit in user code, but it didn’t appear to change the HIZ bit when I checked via StLink. What could I be doing wrong?VREFBUF->CSR&=0b11101;HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HighImpedanceConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HIGH_IMPEDANCE_DISABLE);I'm also seeing DAC output drop to zero when the HIZ bit is set. Is this normal or a potential clue?

I'm using STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0and trying to generate LoRaWAN End Node FreeRTOS.
