Hello,Another newbie question. In my test program ,I am copying some values from a memory region to a General purpose register. After copying the endianness is reversed.  Is there a setting that I am not aware of ?  Example in the screenshot: I copied the value pointed by Address 0x80001b0 ( = 0x1BB10349) into register r2 . As you can see in the screenshot, the value in r2 is 0x4903b11b  Thanks

Hi, I recently got this board and learning about it. My demo application will be for Cortex-A7 core with linux.I need to make application which takes input from user say I have Menu with 5 choices and user can provide the choice number. How can I configure this? I am looking for any examples if available. Do I need to configure any pins and re-build the kernel?Any help will be appreciated, Thank you.

Hi. I'm new to stm32 and have an h7 nucleo board to play with. This is my goal/problem.I want to read from the adc at reasonably high speed (2 Msamples/s, 10-bit will do as I don't need especially high resolution) for say 10 us. In that period I want to send a 2 us gpio pulse to trigger an LED via a driver (low side switch MOSFET and gate driver) as part of an analysis system, where the LED is triggered after 2-3 us into the adc read. I then want to find the maximum adc value in the buffer. If the max value is greater than a threshold value then I want to send the max value in over serial to be logged externally, then wait for 0.5-1 ms before restarting the sampling loop. If the value is less than the threshold then wait for 100 us before restarting the sampling loop.So far I'm not finding anything in the literature to get pointed where I want to be, partly because I'm not quite sure what I need to be asking to get appropriate information! Any illumination on this would be much appreci

I create new STM32 project for STM32MP131AAG3 with baremetal. An error occurs when build the project.../../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32MP13xx/Include/stm32mp131axx_ca7.h:166:4: error: redeclaration of enumerator 'RESERVED_111' I fixed the enumerator name to RESERVED_112 by myself to build.RESERVED_111 = 111, /*!< reserved */RESERVED_112 = 112, /*!< reserved */ Is there a plan to apply this bug fix to the STM32CubeMP13 codebase?

Hello everyone,I just received my X-Nucleo-53L7A1 board and I'm trying to get it working with my Nucleo-F429ZI. In CubeMX,I've selected my board and the appropriate software pack. For the pin configuration, I followed the example provided for the Nucleo-F401RE.The code generates without any errors or warnings, but when I check my serial terminal, I see the following error:VL53L7A1_RANGING_SENSOR_Init failedCheck you're using ONLY the center device soldered on the shield, NO satellite shall be connected !I can't figure out where the problem is coming from. If anyone could offer some help, I would greatly appreciate it!

could somebody please help me with this: i am a beginner ,i have done the clock configuration and Timer configuration  for delay and also the GPIO configuration: the LED does blink but instead of 1s it takes like 4s , i have done a lot of research to find out where the problem might be, but found nothing i use STM32F429i discovery by the way . thank you and here is my code : void Clock_Config(void) { RCC->CR |=(RCC_CR_HSEON); while(!((RCC->CR) & (RCC_CR_HSERDY))); RCC->APB1ENR |= (1<<28); PWR->CR |= 1<<14; FLASH->ACR |= (1<<8)|(1<<9)|(1<<10)|(2<<0); RCC->CFGR|=RCC_CFGR_HPRE_DIV1; RCC->CFGR |= RCC_CFGR_PPRE1_DIV4; RCC->CFGR |= RCC_CFGR_PPRE2_DIV2; RCC->PLLCFGR |= (0<<16)|(4<<0)|(180<<6)|(RCC_PLLCFGR_PLLSRC_HSE); RCC->CR |=(RCC_CR_PLLON); while(!((RCC->CR) & (RCC_CR_PLLRDY))); RCC->CFGR |=(RCC_CFGR_SW_PLL); while ((RCC->CFGR & RCC_CFGR_SWS) != RCC_CFGR_SWS_PLL); } void Tim

Hi Team, I want to work on USB PD sink , which board would be suitable?, I'm trying for 28V 5A power. I think the firmware for this specification is not available yet. Even though i want to try on. Would you suggest me any board? Is STM32L562 would be compatible?Thanks in advanceRegards Nithin Varghese

Hi as i want to use hall sensor interface to my input pwm capture We can see these timers associated with digital hall,Which one i can choose TIM1/8/20 or TIM2/3/4/5 also suggest on 16 bit and 32 bit timer preference.   Also can it be preferable to use advance timer for hall

Hi I am designing a PCB using STM32H563ZI. Can you share the project files for NUCLEO-H563ZI ? I am using Altium Designer. If the files are in different format, I can import them to Altium. I have shared the link and the name of the evaluation board below:NUCLEO-H563ZIhttps://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-h563zi.htmlRegards.Yasin Ensiz

Hello,We are using the VL53L1 sensor in autonomous mode to range data, mostly indoors but sometimes outdoor.Following the Table 3 in UM2133, we use the short distance mode in order to have better ambient light immunity when outdoors.However, in the AN5573, Table 6, it says that the outdoor capability in autonomous mode drops to a max distance of 200mm, but our targets are often in the 60cm-100cm range.Is the sensor not usable in autonomous mode at all for our application outside ?Please share any insights, experiences or recommendations regarding the VL53L1's autonomous mode ranging performance in outdoor/ambient light scenarios.

Hi team,I have rotary encoder (Model - OVW2 -2048-2MC). Its resolution is 2048P/R. I get the encoder count via uart, but I have a problem, when encoder rotate continuously it does not give the data via uart, move slowly the encoder it update the value, I dont know why this happen during the data transfer. the second one is, how I will convert the count value into rpm, what is the procedure to convert the encoder count into rpm. for your reference I attached my code below. if any logical error, parameter setting error and peripheral error in the code mention all the errors also, and gave procedure for rpm calculation.thank you regards Ramachandran S/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "main.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ #include "stdio.h" #include "string.h" #include "stm32f4xx_ha

I hope this message finds you well. I am encountering an issue where I cannot access the RAM and Flash usage statistics within the Build Analyzer feature of CubeIDE version 1.15.1. Upon attempting to view these metrics, the fields appear empty, preventing me from effectively monitoring and optimizing my project's resource utilization.Could you kindly assist me in resolving this issue? Your guidance on how to properly access or troubleshoot these metrics would be greatly appreciated. I am eager to continue developing my project efficiently but am currently hindered by this limitation.Thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to your prompt response. Best Regards,Hitesh

Hey there,I am facing a problem with the clocks on the STM32H755ZI. When I let a timer run at 50 kHz I get only smt. like 49.92 kHz out of it with sigma = 13 Hz. So there is at any frequency a steady offset of -1.2% and a sigma deviation of 0.03%. I have chosen as HSE the Crystal/Ceramic Resonator and the APB2 of the timer runs at 200 kHz.With the Nucleo 144 STM32F767ZI I get for similar settings basically 0% frequency offset and sigma deviation of only 0.0003%. So I am wondering what has changed between these discovery boardsH755:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-h755zi-q.html F767:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-f767zi.htmlthey both have this X4 crystal at 25.000 MHz and several others.So do you see any way how I can achieve a higher frequency stability? Or what I might have to change in CubeIDE to activate a more accurate crystal on the H755 board? Thanks a lot for any help :)

Hi,Do you know what I am doing wrong ? Thanks

**EDIT: I misunderstood the implementation of the open loop mode, as I thought it was performing open loop SVPWM at a particular modulation index. After reviewing the open loop documentation within the motor control docs I now understand that this is not the case and will attempt to use it properly... please feel free to delete this post** Motor control workbench version : 6.3.0Motor pilot version: 1.2.9Hello!I would like to perform an open loop modulation test. After configuring the project to allow open loop and selecting OPEN_LOOP_VOLTAGE mode within the profiler, I am unable to alter the voltage reference within the advanced pane. As soon as I alter the value, it is immediately reset back to 0. If I run the open loop modulation with a voltage ref of 0 then the high side U FET sweeps from 0% duty cycle to 100% which subsequently trips the power supply and produces an undervoltage fault. Are you able to assist me on setting an appropriate voltage/modulation index for open loop c

Hello community,I wanted to know how can I check the compatibility of of QSPI NOR FLASH with micro-controller, what are the parameter that will affect selection.Are Infineon chips supported by STM32H7 family especially S25FL128SAGNFM003.

HI,     I am using STM32WBA55G-DK1 board to develop ble audio device. When i call CAP_EnableAudioCodecController, it return 0x91.   I have reviewed the assembly code of the project and found that CAP_EnableAudioCodecController will call hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2 to get the codecs array. So i call hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2 on my app code to test this api. Spoiler (Highlight to read)uint8_t num_supported_stand_codes = 0;uint8_t standard_Codec[255] = {0};uint8_t num_supported_vendor_specific_codes = 0;uint8_t vendor_specific_codes[255] = {0};status = hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2( &num_supported_stand_codes,standard_Codec,&num_supported_vendor_specific_codes,hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2);LOG_INFO_APP("hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2() return status: 0x%02X\n", status);for (loop = 0; loop < num_supported_stand_codes; loop++) {LOG_INFO_APP(" %02x", standard_Codec[loop]);if (loop % 16 == 15) {LOG_INFO_APP

I am attempting to use TIM1 CH1 to produce a 4MHz PWM with 50% duty cycle, to be used as a clock input to a knock sensor.  TIM1 is on the APB2 Timer Clock with I have configured at 200 MHz: To get a 4MHz frequency I have PSC = 0 and the ARR/Counter period 49: Here are the rest of the settings for break and dead time (not used) and PWM Generation Channel 1: When I put a scope on this, I do see what roughly looks like a PWM, but with a frequency of 30Hz instead of 4MHz.  I have verified I am probing the right pin because if I have the clock to what I think is 10MHz (a factor of 2.5) I see the signal on my scope increase from 30Hz to 75 Hz (the same factor of 2.5).I have several other PWMs on this board, on TIM3, TIM4, TIM5, and TIM23, all of which are working without issue and producing the exact frequency and duty cycle I expect. The only difference I can think is that TIM1 is an "advanced timer" but I have not been able to discern anything in the RM or otherwis

As in the subject, DCMI and PSSI are missing from STM32U545RETXQ configuration. According to documentation, this unit should support those interfaces. Is that correct? Regards

Hi, I am using ST Motor Pilot Tool (profiler) V1.2.9.With the B-G431-ESC1 plate and the A2212/13T motor (technical sheet attached).I can't get the motor above 5200 RPM. Please note that to get to 5200 rpm I had to increase the overvoltage to 80% because otherwise I would get an overvoltage error.How can I get the engine to reach 10Krpm?Is it normal to increase the over voltage so much?Thank you very much for your time and support.

I want to use two internal comparators to monitor current in a circuit.  When the current gets above a level I want to turn off my switch, when the current falls below a level I want to turn on the switch.  This needs to be done at a speed that is too fast and precise for software to handle (the off time can be as little as ~1uS and must have high resolution and minimal (nS) delay).  I could use an external SR latch that is reset by the high current level comparator and set by the low current level comparator (I have done this in simulations and it works well), but I was wondering if there was a way to emulate a fast SR latch using the internal hardware, like perhaps using timer compare hardware or something similar.  The processor I am currently looking at is the  STM32F334xx.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,I am developing a firmware for a host device to flash STM8S via UART.My issue is when I send a write command, STM8 didn't response anything.- Host sends write command: 0x31 0xCE, STM8 responsed ACK 0x79 . Host replies 0xFF- Host sends 5 bytes address and checksum: 0x00 0x00 0x88 0x00 0x88, STM8 responsed ACK 0x79. Host replies 0xFF- Host sends 6 bytes (1 byte: number of data, 4 bytes data and 1 byte checksum): 0x03 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x03 STM8 didn't reply anything.I attached serial capture image.Please help me. it took me a long time to check it

For our validation:I would like to verify my computation for the capacity of the bonding list size. I did have some characteristics created so it's not the default , but its a number close to that. ( Sources in the bottom) It would be disastrous if entire bonding list is cleared. I am trying to calculate the FFT using CMSIS-DSP.I downloaded the latest CMSIS-DSP from github, copied folders CMSIS\DSP\Include, CMSIS\DSP\PrivateInclude and CMSIS\DSP\Source in my Drivers folder, added CMSIS\DSP\Include and CMSIS\DSP\PrivateInclude to my include path and removed all .c files in CMSIS\DSP\Source that does not have _f32 in the filename, since I am planning to use only float32 data.My project is build with STM32CubeIDE and the microcontroller is a STM32L476RG.The symbol ARM_MATH_CM4 is defined.This is the code I'm trying to use: #include "arm_math.h" #include "arm_const_structs.h" #define SAMPLES_NUMBER 1024 /* ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * Max magnitude FFT Bin calculation * * the input vector must be 1024 elements * ------------------------------------------------------------------- */ float32_t fft(float32_t *input_vector, uint32_t sampling_rate) { float32_t maxValue; uint32_t maxIndex; float32_t frequency; float
