Hello,I am using a VL53L8CX sensor in 8x8 mode. There is a thing that is unclear to me from the documentation, so I need a clarification. A value in the zone Z of the matrix I get from the ToF sensor is:a) Distance between the object in the zone Z and the optical center of the sensorb) Vertical distance between the object in the zone Z and the sensor planeWhich one of these is true? Kind regards,Milan

Hi , In SPWM generation ,in Center align mode ,May i require give one sine table value twice , in the upword and down counting sequence .  Original sine wave values: [A1, A2, A3, ..., A200] DMA array: [A1, A1, A2, A2, A3, A3, ..., A200, A200] like wise the DMA array ?other wise is it distroted ? @MM..1

When I used validation app I could see like  notes: - the output of the reference model is used as ground truth/reference value         - 10 samples (5 items per sample)   acc=100.00%, rmse=0.000000147, mae=0.000000066, l2r=0.000000430, nse=1.000, cos=1.000   5 classes (10 samples)   ---------------------------------   C0        0    .    .    .    .   C1        .    0    .    .    .   C2        .    .  &nb

I am using 5 adc values (emg[5]) and can get the value of them. I want to use these values in the main statement, so I assigned it.However I can't get the value. It's always zero.  (good[0] = emg[0])  Can I know what's the matter of this,,? Thanks for help!

Hi, I'm trying to use the IIS3DWB as FIFO mode with a watermark.I'm using a custom board. I double checked the hardware and guaranteed this board works well. I'm able to read/write the sensor using SPI interface and generate interrupt with wake-up int source. To handle the sensor, I'm using the library created by ST. https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/iis3dwbIn this mode the interrupt INT1 not works well. This is my init code:// Reset the sensor iis3dwb_reset_set(&hAcc, PROPERTY_ENABLE);   do { iis3dwb_reset_get(&hAcc, &reset); HAL_Delay(BOOT_TIME); } while (reset);   iis3dwb_xl_data_rate_set(&hAcc, IIS3DWB_XL_ODR_26k7Hz); iis3dwb_xl_full_scale_set(&hAcc, IIS3DWB_2g); iis3dwb_fifo_mode_set(&hAcc, IIS3DWB_STREAM_MODE); iis3dwb_fifo_watermark_set(&hAcc, 256); iis3dwb_fifo_xl_batch_set(&hAcc, IIS3DWB_XL_BATCHED_AT_26k7Hz); iis3dwb_block_data_update_set(&hAcc, 1);   int1_route.fifo_th = 1; int1_route.fifo_ovr = 1; int1_route.fifo_

I am still a beginner in STMicroelectronics programming. I am trying to do UART serial communication on STM32 Nucleo C031C6. USART2 seemed to be disabled on CubeMx while trying to configure the pins so I used USART1. I am using RealTerm as my serial monitor. I cannot see my message being transmitted.I have used pin PB6 and PB7 as per the datasheet. /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ****************************************************************************** */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /

Hello,STM32F103RB microcontroller. The Figure1 (see attached image) shows clock tree of STM32F103RB microcontroller. Before TIM6CLK, there is a block, which is highlighted in red rectangle. What's IF (APB1 PRESCALER  = 1) x1 ELSE x2 label in this red rectangle? APB1 prescaler can't equal to  "1". APB1 prescaler can be in states listed in the Figure2 (see attached image).

Hi everyone,For any timer, counter mode is equal to center aligned mode 3/2/1 except for up or down there are phase sub. between pwm channels with different duty values. There is no phase sub channels with same duty values. For example, in TIM1 with center aligned mode 3, I have selected channel 1 and channel 2 for pwm generation, Arr =100, there is phase sub forTIM1->CCR1=50 and TIM->1CCR2=75, there are no phase sub same values and up/down counter mode. Thank's for valuable comments.

Hello,I am wondering what could be the best way to write a device tree that sets the STM32MP1 as SAI SLAVE with a CODEC also running as SAI slave. The HW design I am studying has the following specs:1) STM32MP1 with ALSA and one SAI interface.2) A codec chipset running as SAI slave.3) The Si5351B part running as a MASTER clock providing the SAI bit and frame (L/R) clocks to both the SoC and CODEC.I understand such a setup is a little out of the norm. How can the device tree be modified on the SAI side to avoid the STM32MP1 to become a MASTER. The snippet of a possible device tree is below. How can  I force the STM32MP1 to be a SLAVE on SAI?I would imagine writing the device tree as follows: &sai1{ pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&sai1b_pins_mx>; pinctrl-1 = <&sai1b_sleep_pins_mx>; status = "okay"; /* USER CODE BEGIN sai1 */ /* Specify external clock sources for SAI1 We MUST add the clock-names according to the doc. */ clocks = <&

This might have already been asked in the past, is there a way to not having to press return after programming a file with (old) ST-LINK CLI Utility?I am using the command line version which works fine but before the program runs ST-LINK stop and waits for the user to press return, then the program runs and ST-LINK terminates. If you run this from a third party application the required CR is annoying. Here is what happens, you run the programmer:  H:\STM32\node>ST-Link_CLI -c SWD UR Hrst -p node.hex -run STM32 ST-LINK CLI v3.6.0.0 STM32 ST-LINK Command Line Interface ST-LINK SN: 5200371004300132594E514E ST-LINK Firmware version: V2J45S7 Connected via SWD. I want to setup the wakeup configuration registers and then disconnect the accelerometer from an I2C programmer and power source. When the accelerometer is placed with the new circuit, will the configurations in the register I have set still remain? The datasheet does not mention non-volatile memory on registers.

I am trying to set up PWM on Channel 1, 2, 3 of TIM3. At first I set up only Channel 1 and the output voltage of PWM is 2.8V. But after I set up the other two channels, the output voltage of Channel 1 & 3 gets to 3.6V, while that of Channel 2 is still 2.8V. Hi,I want to flash my STM32L452RET6P using a .hex file. I am however struggling with the fact that STM IDE generates a .hex file with lines with only one WORD instead of the only supported double WORD when writing. So I need to buffer and assemble each double WORD from the .hex file. This involves a lot of tinkering for me, as in: how to buffer, how to know for sure we can finally write and so on. So is there any way to write only one WORD?The HAL suggests it is possible as the write is done in two steps:  static void FLASH_Program_DoubleWord(uint32_t Address, uint64_t Data) { /* Check the parameters */ assert_param(IS_FLASH_PROGRAM_ADDRESS(Address)); /* Set PG bit */ SET_BIT(FLASH->CR, FLASH_CR_PG); /* Program first word */ *(__IO uint32_t*)Address = (uint32_t)Data; /* Barrier to ensure programming is performed in 2 steps, in right order (independently of compiler optimization behavior) */ __ISB(); /* Program second word */ *(__IO uint32_t*)(Address+4U) = (

Hai,   I'm planning to integrate STSAFE-A110 with esp32 for MQTT TLS Authentication.I downloaded the "en.x-cube-safea1". In that I saw that "\Authentication" example. How can I integrate with my project? My setup is like cloud will running MQTT broker. ESP32 is a client. My expectation was connecting ESP32 to cloud MQTT broker with the help of STSAFE-A110.Which example I have to look? Best RegardsBose

WHile debugging for a custom board this is what I am facing Break at address "0x1fff4080" with no debug information available, or outside of program code. This is the code that I am trying to run . What is the reason for this error and how it can be curated .  I have already verified the most common reason i.e. BOOT0 pin which has been pulled low. I have attached the main.c file to this post

I am using the NUCLEO-G474RE along with the X-NUCLEO-SRC1M1 board to create a USB-C power delivery source. I am also using the "SRC1M1_Source" example project in the x-cube-tcpp software download.I am attempting to provide a 20V, 5000mA source to a USB-C power delivery sink. After I connect the nucleo board to the STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD, I am able to add the 20V, 5000mA PDO and send it to the target. I plug the sink device into my SRC1M1 board (trace data attached)I see the sink requests the 20V, 5000mA profile, however the trace data shows USBPD_CAD_STATE_DETACH_SRC soon after the profile is accepted by my source. The connection and negotiation then start again and continue in an infinite loop. I am supplying the SRC1M1 board with an external power supply set to 5V. I had assumed that the source would not indicate SRC_READY until I manually adjusted the supply voltage to 20V, however it just disconnects. What is the proper way to use the SRC

I have a custom board with an STM32WB55CEU6 that I'm programming using the STM32CubeIDE.  I'm struggling with getting the ADC to work in DMA mode.  I can connect via SWD and the while loop runs fine but HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback is only triggered once (as confirmed by a breakpoint in that function).Continuous Conversion Mode = EnabledDMA Continuous Requests = EnabledResolution is 8-bit.  What's connected is a joystick and I just need 0-255DMA set to Circular with data width set to WordHere is the code.  Nearly all of this was auto-generated by STM32CubeIDE (I removed most of the comment blocks to make it easier to read) - all I really changed was adding in the HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback function, a variable to store the results, a call to HAL_ADC_Start_DMA and an LED toggle.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I feel as if I have to be missing something simple but hours into it I can't find it. /* Includes ---------------------------------

Posted on March 03, 2018 at 14:37Hello.I've tried to test sdcard with fatfs on STM32F411RE on NUCLEO-F411RE board.I don't have a compleat 100% sure hardware or software, so I'm struggling to debug if its a software or hardware issue.I've read trough some topics hear, one with issue with sd initialization (but it seams that in my version this issue is already resolved).I've tripple cheked all the connections and when the card is not in the socket I get fast resposne.I've generated the code from stm32cubemx, and added a custom code:  /* Initialize all configured peripherals */  MX_GPIO_Init();  MX_SDIO_SD_Init();  MX_FATFS_Init();  /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */  FRESULT res;  FATFS SDFatFs;  /* File system object for SD disk logical drive */  FIL MyFile;     /* File object */  res =  f_mount(&SDFatFs, (TCHAR const*)SDPath, 0);  if (res != FR_OK)      while(1);  res=  f_open(&M

I am using STM32CubeIDE (v1.15.1) to develop firmware for an STM32G431 MCU and attempting to configureTIM8 to use dithering. I have defined the following constants:TIM8_KHZ = 20TIM8_PRESCALER = (1-1) = 0TIM8_PERIOD = (((16*170000/TIM8_KHZ)/2)/(TIM8_PRESCALER+1)) = 68000TIM8_INT_PERIOD = (TIM8_PERIOD >> 4) = 4250TIM8_FRAC_PERIOD = (TIM8_PERIOD & 0xF) = 0The first sign of trouble is that the period/ARR parameter gets marked as invalid with a red X:Evidently, the software believes that this register is supposed to be limited to 12 bits, but this is not correct, as shown by the reference manual RM0440:If I proceed to generate code anyway, it produceshtim8.Init.Period = TIM8_INT_PERIOD; // somewhat misleading ... __HAL_TIM_SET_AUTORELOAD(&htim8, 68000); // same as TIM8_PERIODEverything appears to work OK except that STM32CubeIDE shows that error/warning about the period being larger than 0x0FFF. Why does the configuration software limit this value to 12 bits? Sh

Hi Guys,   This is my simple ADC program and i was expecting to see some data output on Live expression window. Instead it is showing "Failed to evaluate" //initialization: /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ uint16_t raw; char msg[10]; /* USER CODE END 1 */ //while loop { //set GPIO Pin high PA8 HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_8, GPIO_PIN_SET); // GEt ADC Value HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); raw= HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); //convert the string and print sprintf(msg, "%h\r\n", raw); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, (uint8_t*)msg, strlen(msg), HAL_MAX_DELAY); HAL_Delay(1); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }   The same issue is not happening when i am using Black pill board and all live expressions are visible.

HiFrom a the VL6180 documentation i found that there is a scaling factor. As i read from it, the default is 3 and this means that the response are in mm (1mm resolution)If it is changed to 2, the result will have a resolution of 2/3 mm ect. But in the VL6180X documentation, there is no mention of the range scaling anywhere. Is is just omitted from the documentation for some reason or is the functionality not there?I'm looking for a TOF sensor to range between 5 and 30mm. Sub mm resolution would be great, even if noisy. i need to measure relative displacement within this range.Or if you have a recommendation for another small package size sensor that is better, i'm all ears.Thank you!
