This question is about HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive.If a slave starts sending 8 bytes of data after the 4th byte sent by the master, is it possible to use HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive without a dummy (ignore) buffer?We will be the master side.Our assumption is that a dummy (ignore) buffer will be created.HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(&hspi1, sbuf, rbuf, 12, 1000)sbuf[12] = { A, B, C, D, Dummy, Dummy, Dummy, Dummy, Dummy, Dummy, Dummy }rbuf[12] = { Dummy, Dummy, Dummy, Dummy, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H }Is this perception wrong?

Hello All,I wanted to copy two files from the STM32Cube directory to use arm_math.h, but those files are nowhere to be found. ・STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F4_Vxxxx\Drivers\CMSIS\Lib\ARM\arm_cortexM4lf_math.lib・STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F4_Vxxxx\Drivers\CMSIS\Lib\GCC\libarm_cortexM4lf_math.a  What should we do when these two are not available? best regards. STM32F407vgt6,cubeIDE Version: 1.14.1,CMSIS Version5.9.0

Hi there! I was hoping that the H5 series would be like a faster U5 series but instead they seem to be very cut down in terms of features. i.e. the H5 looks like a faster crippled U5.The U5 has graphics accelleration and HS USB but the H5 has neither. Will there be a H5 line that's like a faster U5 at some point in the future? What was the intended market sector for the U5 and H5 models? As a customer it seems confusing. Thanks.

* In the reference manual RM0503 rev2, in §5.4.4 (description of RCC_PLLCFGR), the description of PLLR[2:0] indicates:Caution: The software must set this bitfield so as not to exceed 54 MHz on this clock.* In the reference manual RM0503 rev2, in §5.2.9, table 32, the maximum PLLRCLK for "Range 1" is indicated as 56MHz.* In the datasheet DS14548 rev2, in Table 56, fPLL_R_OUT is indicated as min 12MHz, max 64MHz (for range 1), and as min 12MHz, max 16MHz (for range 2)* STM32CubeMX imposes a limit of 56MHz for the PLLR output (it's unclear which voltage range is used -- is it calculated or configured?)Similar issues exist for the limits regarding PLLP, PLLQ, PLLN (especially in the RM). The RM, datasheet, and/or CubeMX should be corrected so that they are all consistent. Also, the lower limits (and the fact that the limits depend on the voltage range) should be mentioned in the RM too.

Hi all,i am using STM32C011F4U6 and i want communication between Uart1 _baud rate -115200 _8N1 and Uart2_Baud rate _4800_7E1.But STM32C0 haven't 7 bit communication option. How can i do this?Thank you

Hi,if I understand correctly, TouchGFX does not support sliders. What is the simplest and safest way to implement them for a newbie to the ST ecosystem and tools?More specifically two types: scrollbars (of a text window) and date-picker wheel.As a side note/curiosity, are there any plans for TouchGFX to implement those controls?Thank you :)

Hello I'm currently trying to change the classic CAN into FDCAN, but when i try to change the clock source of FDCAN (which is PLL1Q) from 50Mhz to 80Mhz to use FDCAN, the clock configuration keeps giving the message "wrong parameter values" when i try to generate it.In the datasheet of stm32h753VIT6, it says "The clock calibration on CAN unit is designed to operate under the following conditions:• a CAN kernel clock frequency fdcan_ker_ck up of at least 80 MHz"which means the clock of FDCAN must be setted to at least 80MHz, so the clock must be setted to 80MHz in order to use FDCAN.At this clock setting, the only thing that uses the PLL1Q setting is FDCAN, so why can't I use values above 50MHz? I'll attach the ioc file that is associated with this issue.

Hello, I am working on integrating IMP23ABSU into my hardware. Hence, I reviewed the evaluation schematic (steval-stwinkt1b) to understand its setup. I have a few questions regarding the schematic, in addition to what has been answered here, it would be great if you could answer them.1. There are three MREF in the schematic for steval-stwinkt1b, part of which is attached to this message as an image below. I understand what the ones circled in green correspond to, but what does the MREF circled in red correspond to?2. In the response here, it was mentioned that the amplification factor of 1 + R6/R7 = 2.34 is to take advantage of the microcontroller's 3.3V. But isn't the Opamp's VCC+ and microcontroller's VREF+ tied to 2.7V? Meaning the analog voltage range will be from 0 to 2.7V and the output M1P can only range from 0 to 2.7V, am I correct in interpreting the setup?Thank you.

It would be useful if an item (widget) added to a screen which is a container, showed the name of the container in the properties window. I have a lot of different containers and if I need to make changes to the container, sometimes I have to go through almost the whole list of containers to find the one I need. If the properties window in the top right of the designer window showed the name of the container, then this would be easierMaybe also a quicker way to jump to the container either from the screens tab (context menu for example) or via the widget properties window. It is useful btw having an appropriate icon for each widget in the screens tree because you can at least tell if it is a button, line, container etc

I am trying to generate code for "STM32 Nucleo packs FOC and 6-step motor control platform for three-phase, low-voltage and low-current motor" and I keep getting errors :-Attr not supported : Dmpu  as in attached image. I am using cubeMX12, I have updated Java recently and I have uninstalled and reinstalled CubeMX as well. Still no luck. Log file attached.

Hi Everyone,I have written a firmware which write some meta data in STM32L4 internal flash memory. But sometimes it happens that code gets stuck in a loop while erasing the flash memory. uint32_t UserFunctionForErasingFlash(void) { FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef EraseInitStruct; uint32_t SectorError = 0; uint32_t Success=1; EraseInitStruct.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_PAGES; EraseInitStruct.Banks = GetBank(MDM_FLASH_ADD); EraseInitStruct.Page = GetPage(MDM_FLASH_ADD); EraseInitStruct.NbPages = 2; /* Unlock the Flash to enable the flash control register access *************/ g_unlock_erase_flash = HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); // clear_flash_flags(); if(HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&EraseInitStruct, &SectorError) != HAL_OK){ g_erase_error_code = HAL_FLASH_GetError(); Success=0; Error_Handler(); } /* Lock the Flash to disable the flash control register access (recommended to protect the FLASH memory against possible unwanted operation) *********/ HAL_FLASH_Lock(); return Succes

Hello everyone,  I am trying to generate sine wave using DAC and interrupts in my STM32F446 board. I want to do it without using array model. I am getting b infinite_loop when the program is run in debug mode. I have initialised "use float with printf/scanf" settings. The code is as follows:- #include "stm32f4xx.h" #include <math.h> volatile float data; #include "dac_sine.h" #define pi 3.14159265359 volatile uint32_t theta = 0; volatile uint32_t del_theta = 1; float value; void dac_sine_gpio_init(void) { RCC->AHB1ENR |= (1U<<0); //enable clock for GPIO Port A GPIOA->MODER |= (0b11<<10); //setting PA5 in analog mode GPIOA->MODER |= (0b11<<8); //setting PA4 in analog mode } void dac_sine_timer_init(void) { RCC->APB1ENR |= (1U<<29); //Clock access to DAC Enabled RCC->APB1ENR |= (1U<<0); //clock access to Timer2 Enabled TIM2->PSC = 1; //setting pre-scalar value TIM2->ARR = 999; //setting ARR value T

I'm planning to drop in an STM32L083RC into a design made for STM32L071/073/083RZ (LQFP64) and was confident after reading AN6091 that apart from USBVDD it would be pincompatible.It appears I cheered too soon, after I dived into the U083 datasheet and pin functions: The STM32U0 misses the second MCO output on PB13(pin 34) and the USART on PB3-PB4 (pins 55-56), where the L07x has USART5.That results in quite a bit more redesigning than only disconnecting the unused USB power.I guess that the AN6091 document should warn in Table 21 that USART pinout compatibility is partial and in Table 25 that the second MCO output of the L07x is not available on U0 series.

I put a object at about 1100mm, and another object at about 50mm. And use example5 to test vl53l7ch (4x4 resolution, max 2 objects per zone), but found that it does not recognise the closest object. For example, zone 13 output:[Zone13] (found 1 object), object 1 ==> ( range status: 5, distance:1043, signal_per_spad:3, sigma:26)object 2 ==> ( range status: 14, , distance:32, signal_per_spad:1674, sigma:1) My questions are:1. What is status code 14? I can not find it in UM31832.Why the driver does not put object 2 in the first position after I have called vl53lmz_set_target_order to set target order to VL53LMZ_TARGET_ORDER_STRONGEST3.why the sensor does not recognise object at "distance:32" (that is object2)  even its signal is more larger than object at "distance:1043"(that is object1)

Hi there, I'm trying to start my M4 fw from u-boot ( https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/index.php?title=How_to_start_the_coprocessor_from_the_bootloader&oldid=76509#Synchronizing_the_remote_firmware_with_Linux ). We finally managed to load the firmware from u-boot and it runs properly (I can see peripherals working at boot time); btw the guide is not correct for the bootcmd section, let's talk about it in a separate thread! Now, I must integrate the RPMSG interface, and, in the guide ( https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_start_the_coprocessor_from_the_bootloader#STM32Cube ), there's a section describing a Synchronization between u-boot and Linux. It cites that, for non-blocking use cases, IPCC interrupts can be used. But I can't find ANY reference to that in any guide or forum. Can please somebody explain to me how to make this synchronization work properly? I understand that I have to implement M4 fw in a way that the&nbsp

Hello,we want to implement Non-blocking method  like in https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_start_the_coprocessor_from_the_bootloaderOur efforts searching documentation and reading discussions in the forum hadn´t resolve the situation.We are using a devicetree genertated by the CubeMX tool for stm32mp157f-eval1. When starting the Application in a booted linux system, it works as expected. The trace logs are available, and the /dev/ttyRPMSG0 virtual UART is loaded:cat /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/state outputs 'running'cat /sys/kernel/debug/remoteproc/remoteproc0/trace0 shows our debug outputs from the M4We can send dummy data to /dev/ttyRPMSG0 and get the echoed responseIn our use case we need the M4 Application to start as early as possible, so we have configured u-boot SSBL to load the ELF file and start the M4 execution. We are then facing the problem that the software is started, but the linux kernel does not load the /dev/ttyRPMSG0 device:cat /sy

Hi,I opened one of the examples projects and then closed it. But no matter what I tried (including closing all files and restarting CubeIDE) the FatFS_uSD_Standalone project (or something else?) remains present in the project explorer as if it is some other project. See screenshots below. And there are no options if I right click on it. The icon is also different and cannot find anywhere a summary of CubeIDE icons.What is that file/project or what does that icon mean? And how do I remove it?Thank you

Hello, I'm developing using stm32f476-DISCO. Until now, we have made development easy by using external RAM. The current operation has received a request to create a program using only internal RAM without external RAM.   https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/board-bring-up/how-to/03-display-internal https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/touchgfx-hal-development/scenarios/scenarios-framebuffer-strategies   I tried to make it by reading the above materials and forums, but I don't understand.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7nBx23a8x4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UobGH7_TPD8&t=3s   I have a demonstration video on YouTube above, but I can't find the source code. I'm a beginner and I'd greatly appreciate it if you could organize CubeMX to work without external RAM and guide me on how to touch gfx.
