SOLVED: Compiler errors in CubeIDE with STM32F469I-DISCO

mandrake

Can someone please test this?

TouchGFX 4.18.0

STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0

STM32F469I-DISCO

Create a simple screen on TouchGFX and try to compile the project on CubeIDE.

You would expect this to work "straight out the box". I am getting compile errors.

This is surely a code/library configuration bug.

There is no problem with STM32F746G-DISCO.

PROBLEM SOLVED

Holy mackerel! Thanks to @ilyus for asking the same question 5 days ago. I've lost weeks struggling with this issue.

Why doesn't ST inform users about this problem and the simple fix?

You would think that ST should just remove v 3.0.5 from the Versions list. Then users would not be in this situation.

SOLUTION:

When you select the STM32F469I-DISCO board in TouchGFX, before clicking on create, select Version 3.0.4.
