ST future ARM Cortex M55/M85 line?

etheory

Are there any plans for ST to release an ARM Cortex M55 or (more hopefully for me) an ARM Cortex M85 line?

I am extremely interested in their number-crunching and vectorization features, and am very keen to see how they would perform in a real-time audio context.

I so, any ideas on broad-strokes time frames for such lines?

Thanks!

hi etheory

maybe you can refer to the following information.

https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001x3L5VSAU/stm32n6

That doesn't answer the question because there is no way to know if the N6 is an M55 or M85 unless you are unofficially telling me it is, which would be big news.

hi etheory

the latest official news for N6 is in the following link. https://blog.st.com/stm32n6/

That blog post just says Cortex-M, but doesn't say which one it is.

I think M55

(in one of the screenshots you will see STM32N6 with M55 indication)

Can be fake. But I guess a strong clue.
