Hi I am completely new to the ST environment I am busy reading all of the documentation and one question comes up: from what I can gather 3 IDE environments are used: STM Cube IDE, IAR Embedded workbench and MDK. Can STM cube IDE do what the others do?

They are all IDEs; they all do essentially the same stuff.

Keil & IAR are independent 3rd-party commercial closed-source IDEs.

They are written and tested to far higher standards.

The optimizers work better and have less issues.

The debugging is better integrated and tends to "Just Work", rather than be a real dog's breakfast of poorly fitting parts.
