Solved

I'm getting started with the CAN controller on the STM32F105. One of the first issues I'm running into is that the HAL_CAN_Init() function returns an error. It seems to time out while waiting for CAN_MSR_SLAK to be cleared. Where can I find more information about this?Note:I have connected a CAN transceiver to the corresponding ports but there is no traffic on the bus yet. CAN RX is pulled high at 3.3 V.Putting the CAN controller into loopback mode makes no difference

I am implementing a custom bootloader for STM32F767 controller. Bootloader and application are in different sectors and on an update bootloader erases the application's sector and writes a new one. This works well, but sometimes the bootloader fails to clear the application's sector properly. Further attempts to clear it keep on failing. I can manually clear that sector with STVP and bootloader is then able to flash a new update there just fine.Any help is appreciated. Thanksif(HAL_FLASH_Unlock() != HAL_OK) return FALSE; FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef flashErase = { .TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_SECTORS, .Sector = FLASH_SECTOR_5, .NbSectors = 1, .VoltageRange = FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_4 }; HAL_FLASHEx_Erase_IT(&flashErase);

Hi,We're currently using the SWO viewer in the old ST-Link Utility in Windows. However, this is a bit inconvenient for us because our main development is in Linux. Is SWO support planned for STM32CubeProgrammer? Even just STM32Programmer_CLI SWO support would be much appreciated.

hello, I use the component in a board to control gas solenoid valves in a cooking plane.I need to know for the regulations if in case of any fault or component breakage I always have a low or high impedance output value so as not to always excite the solenoid valveThat is to have a short between a VCC and OUT? or not?

Hello,I have a STM32WB35Cx MCU that has 256 K of flash according to the datasheet, in my STM32CubeIDE in STM32WB35CCUXA_FLASH.ld FLASH is given 128K of LENGTH. I changed this to 256K on my board without any noticable issues.

Hi Sir,I have designed some graphics in stm32f29 using Touchgfx.In stm32f429zi i am going to change the 240*320 LCD to 320*480 LCD by own. So now i want to graphic the board using Touchgfx.1.Is there any Possible to bring my new changed LCD board in to Touchgfx Target selection Area and design Graphics.2.How do i program the new board using touchgfx and eclipse.Warm Regards ,NAGARAJ S

Hi,I have problem with debugging execution from internal SRAM. I use Cube IDE and STM32H750 Disco board. There was no problem when I debug from flash. But when my binary size exceeded the flash capacity(128KB), I had to use external memory for the program code. I am copying code to internal sram and execution starts from address 0x24000000. I am able to run and suspend the application using debugger. Then I can resume it. It works. So far so good. But when I set a breakpoint, it stops at there but then can't continue somehow. It gets stuck there. I can't resume, step out, step in etc. from there. And console writes this: handle_vCont_t, Thread already stoppedI see PC and SP. They seem ok.Am I missing something in debug configuration?I appreciate your helps

Hi.I was going to buy STM32MP157C-DK2 but its status NRND(Not Recommended for New Design). So I think to buy STM32MP157F-DK2. Are they different point is only a clock(650 or 800) of A7 core? What's the difference?Thank you.Best regards.

Here the details.I'm writing my own firmware to read the NFC type A and B on a custom board based strictly on NUCLEO-NFC06A1. I found it difficult to work with the STM32L476RG-Nucleo_PollingTagDetect example. To debug and "reverse engineering" the code is too much and it would take too long.A the moment I am able to set the registers to perform a request. I was able to check on the oscilloscope the signal generated and it works according to what I expected. However since I don't read any data I don't know if I set all the registers correctly. My struggle come from this point. Now I'm trying to print out all the registers of the ST example to see how they change and compare it to the ST25R3916 datasheet in different points. Can you help me out by pointing how to go about it or where to look?I saw there is ST25R3916-DISCO that comes with a SOFTWARE GUI which allows you to debug more easily. Would this evaluation board be helpful?Thank you in advance

How can I get an event, if the smartphone have read out or written data into the card emulation memory.

I want to know what "st-image-xxxxx" parameter mean.Especially, I want to know what name of xxxxx (for example "weston") means. Is the name of xxxxx related to the name of some config file? For example, if I changed the name of xxxxx to any name from weston, Are output files by bitabake influenced?Best Regards,H. I am trying to update STM32CubeL4 package from v 1.14.0 to 1.16.0. Refreshing packages in manager does not show new versions. I downloaded zip from STM site and tried to add it using "From local" button. The integrity check and unpacking went without problem, however the package is still not shown in a list. If I try to update from a file again it says "this version already available from Repository".

Hello,I am using an STM32F4.I need my mcu to go to sleep (preferably a stop) and i want it to be able to wake up because of a pin or a set timer. My problem is that i am not able to know how much time has elapsed when i wake up because of a pin.Does anyone have an idea of how i can do that ?

We would like to share data between the A7-core and the M4-core on an STM32MP1 device. Those cores both have access to the SRAM1,2,3,4 . The M4-core is connected directly via the AHB interconnect, the A7-core is connected via the AXI-based NIC-400 interconnect which has access to the AHB. Since both interconnects have a bit-width of 32 bits or more, I am wondering if writing or reading to/from a 32 bit address will always be atomic, at least for aligned accesses. So for example, if the A7 is constantly writing a uint32 into a commonly known memory address in SRAM1 and the M4 is constantly reading this address, is it guaranteed that the M4 will never read a partially updated value? Thanks in advance

Hello,I am using IHM02A1 expansion board (on top of L073RZ), which has two L6470 connected in a daisy chain configuration. I cannot receive any data from the devices. What do you think the reason can be ?Below is the bus status of a reset and get param for register ACC (0x5) since its default value is not 0:

Hello,I dont know what is the problem, but when USB is configured in CDC mode in CUBEMX (maybe other modes also can generate the same problem, havent tested yet.) and the code is generated with CUBEMX, touchgfx code genereation will result in file omition from KEIL. There is no matter with STM32CUBEIDE since folders and files are not touched. One suggestion: Touchgfx designer consider some standard place for user code like stm32cubemx so in the regeneration of code, user code remain untouched. The IOC file to ease the problem regeneration is attached.

Hello, why are the keywords class, public, virtual not in bold font?Where to change this feature?

Hello, can the pin configuration shown below possible? We need one bidirectional UART and a CAN along with a UART TX for debugging. Questions are:It says "Pin pair PA11/12 can be remapped in place of pin pair PA9/10 using the SYSCFG_CFGR1 register" So I would only need PA10 to be remapped to PA12 for CAN TX. Is this possible? Can USART be initialized with only TX pin?Would there be any issue with using CAN RX with BOOT0 pin? Thanks, Prithvi

Hi, I am trying out the cubeide coming from IAR. I am currently having a problem that some interrupt is occuring which goes to the default handler. Since all unmapped interrupt functions go to the same handler apparently CubeIDE shows an incorrect interrupt as entry point. So I am trying to figure out which interrupt is really occurring. I thought I would go to the register view and look op the nvic registers but it turns out that this register view is only showing some core registers and not the peripheral registers (stm32f7). Can I find them somewhere else ? Other suggestions ? Worst case, is there an (easy) way to add them myself ?

I have problem with bootloader on STM32G031. I am using pins PB6 and PB7 according to manual (AN2606), but no response at address 0x51 (I hope Slave 7-bit address: 0b1010001x means 0x51).I am getting into bootloader by rebooting and remapping SYSCFG_MEMRM to 0x1 in early state. After that I am able to use serial bootloader on pins PA9,PA10 (USART1), but not I2C.In my user application I2C slave mode is working properly on pins PB6, PB7.In final application I will have only I2C connection from master system and I will need to reprogramm slave firmware. I was expecting I will use system bootloader. Is anybody using I2C bootloader on STM32G03x succesfully? Please give me any advice, how to debug this problem and/or what else I can try.

I succesfully use I2c slave mode on address 0x52 in my application.I can get into bootloader via software by rebooting and in early state remapping SYSCFG_MEMRM = 0x1.But in bootloader, I2C on pins PB6 and PB7 is not responding to address 0x51 - (stm32flash posts "responding Failed to send command"), as for other random - not used - I2C addresses . I can use succesfully serial bootloader (I am using patched stm32flash) on pins PA9,PA10 (USART1), so I suppose I am getting bootloader mode correctly. PA3 pin od USART2 is high, so I hope I am not affected with problem "stuck in USART2 detection" described in AN2606.If I would try stm32flash on I2C in running state (not bootloader) on address 0x52, it will respond with Unexpected reply from device on command 0x01 (which is normal, because it is my application running, not bootloader).I have tried also to use the same address as bootloader (0x51) in my application, but also no luck. Please give me any advice what I should try more. Finally I w

Hi,I m working on STM32F769-DISCO board. I m using on STM32CubeIDE(vers. 1.5.0) and internally CubeMx(vers. 6.1.0). When I create new project, CubeMX interface is opening as you see on attached screen shot.I can not activate USB_OTG_FS as "Device Mode". However some of all peripherals are inactivated. How can I fix appearances of these modules? Best Regards
