I recently installed the latest STM32CubeMX. Much to my great regret, I did not find the ability to generate code for the Keil / IAR IDE. Is this option really no more, or has it been hidden? If not, which of the latest STM32CubeMX versions has these features?

Hi,I have a board containing an STM32F415RG and another board containing an MCU from another manufacturer. Both boards are supposed to communicate with each other using RS-232 transceivers. The communication is running at 9600 baud and working well for some minutes, after which the STM32 seems to miss received bytes.I work in IAR, but I have configured the STM32 using CubeMX with Firmware package F4 V1.25.0. My application is running on CMSISv2/freeRTOS. I use the HAL API for all module accesses.Communication is always initiated by the STM32 by sending 64 bytes of data to the slave MCU. The STM32 expects always 64 bytes in return. It does not matter if I use the _IT or _DMA implementations of the StartRX/TX methods, I have checked both. Every data packet ends with a 16 bit checksum.I implemented a RX timeout using a semaphore which works fine, the timeout is long enough to accept some delay between the request and the response. When a timeout occurs, I abort the transfer (either by cal

I have an application with two separate screens. I have declared completely analogous presenter, view, etc. files for each, understanding that the model points to the current presenter to update the current view/screen. All functions and variables appear where they should in the hpp and base class files for each view. The trigger for all updates is the system tick, handled in the model file; the systick just checks for RTOS messages in separate queues and requests screen updates accordingly. And, the model file "knows" about all boxes on all pages. Everything on screen 1 (the home screen) works fine, but nothing on screen 2 will update. So, I am looking for some example of how to do this. Clearly, I am missing something, but I can't see it. I am running GFX v4.14.0 under RTOS, Cube IDE v1.5.0. Thanks

Hi.Can I use all peripheral in MP1 by only M4 code? I couldn't find MP1 HAL Library for USB, Ethernet, SD Memory and etc. For example, How can I use it if I want to use USB data write&read by M4 code?Thank you.Best regards.

I am able to set pins (high/low) that I have specified to be GPIO_Output in the Pinout& Configuration tab of the .ioc file. Using the code written below (changing the pin number) I am able to observe the expected behaviour on a oscilloscope using all of the PA pins except (PA2,PA3 and PA8). Why am I not able to observe the behaviour on these pins? I am using the STM 32L072 Nucleo-64. Thanks in advancewhile (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */   /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA,GPIO_PIN_15,GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(100); // HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc); // HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc,HAL_MAX_DELAY); // raw = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc);   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA,GPIO_PIN_15,GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(500); }

I had created a project. in that i had enabled the SPI and PIT0 drivers and also attached peripherals to it. but SPC5 studio is giving error: No peripheral attached for the driver. to resolve this issue i disabled the SPI driver from the components but facing wired problem i am attaching the screen shot. please help me to solve this issue.thanks in advance.

Hello,we have a custom board based on STM32MP151C. On our SPI is the Ethernet Switch KSZ8794. How should I proceed to enable the ethernet in the U-Boot? I have already configured the etherne0 node (according to the ST documentation). Should I add the node to the spi node?

We are using the latest STM32CubeIDE (1.4.0) and are trying to develop applications for linux user space on our STM32MP157 board. Our goal is to use the cross compiler toolchain for developing and debugging with the IDE.When we create a new project, it seems the IDE doesn't create any ready to compile main.cpp files for the A7 processor like for the M4. See this screenshot: For the M4, the project compiles with the template main.c just fine. But for the A7, nothing is there.So my question is, is there any documentation on how to develop linux user space application with the STM32CubeIDE for the A7?Thank you.Best regards,Kevin

Hello,I cannot use correctly TouchGFX Designer. When I use "run Target", when arriving at the step of stmCubeProgrammer, I have this issue :... ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.6.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Error: External loader c:\program cannot be loaded. Does the ADC need to be initialized in a special way for the USBPD stack to work properly?I am trying to implement PD on a STM32G431 and the USBPD stack doesn't seem to work. If a powersource is connected, the CAD state changes to ATTACHED but then it immediately changes to DETACHED and waits for the VBUS voltage to drop to zero, which doesn't happen because the source is still attached and supplies the standard 5V.The stack is resetting right after the attached state.

Hi,I am working on Nucleo STM32H743ZII am using a 64byte size custom usb hid when I send my data frames i get an offset of 6 zeros as shown here :Any ideas where it comes from ?Regards,Gabriel

Hi,I started from scratch and successfully created STM3232H7B3I-DK project as in Workshop2020.Now i added a project library, it compiles and produces .a file but i have this message:libModuleA.a: file not recognized: File format not recognized.I suppose I have to setup the correct toolchain but i do not know how.The current toolchain is Cross GCC CDT internal builder.Many thanks if someone can help.Regards

I want to know the role of the m4_***(for example m4_adc, m4_timers1) node in Cortex-A7 Device tree.When I generate device tree from CubeMX, the m4_*** node are described even if that peripherals are used only on Cortex-M4 FW.Do I need to set status = "okay" in Cortex-A7 device tree even if that peripherals are used only on Cortex-M4 FW?for example, When I use timer6 only on Cortex-M4 FW, Do I need to describe that status = "okay" in m4_timers6 node in device tree?Best regards,H. I created a new project in STM32CubeIde (STM32F401, USB Host MSC). I haven't added a single line of my code yet. When I try to compile the project, the error appears:../Middlewares/Third_Party/FatFs/src/option/../ff.h:29:10: fatal error: ffconf.h: No such file or directorySuch errors appear for almost every line of source code starting with "#include".I've seen similar threads on this forum before, but it's been a few months since then. STM32CubeIde menu structure has changed and the old advice no longer applies. I am asking for help in dealing with this error.

How can I disable breakpoints for release builds? If I accidentally forget a breakpoint on, and it gets hit in the release build, then the program just freezes (including halting the watchdog timer!) - what am I missing?

The size of "heap" in my project up to 70+KB in RAM.What are the factors that can affect its size？void touchgfx_init() { Bitmap::registerBitmapDatabase(BitmapDatabase::getInstance(), BitmapDatabase::getInstanceSize()); TypedText::registerTexts(&texts); Texts::setLanguage(0);   FontManager::setFontProvider(&fontProvider);   FrontendHeap& heap = FrontendHeap::getInstance();// this is too big (void)heap; // we need to obtain the reference above to initialize the frontend heap.   hal.initialize(); }

Hello, I use for STM32 (1.8V VDD) SPI communication with an slave temperature Sensor (3.5V basic voltage, detects high at 0,7*3,5V)SCLK =PC10SDO = PC11SDI= PC12CS = PC13For that reason I want to use an external 3.5V Pullup. But I'm not sure if this is OK for pinsPC10/PC11/PC12/PC13. Can anybody tell me if this is OK?And where I can find these information in datasheet? I already looked in the AN4899 Application note, but coulkdn't find which pins are 5V tolerant. In special if PC10/11/12/13 are 5V tolerant.Best regardsFabian

We are using STEVAL-SPIN3204 .While we testing the evaluation board,when we unplug the USB cable we are missing 12 volt @ VREG12,that is pin number 6 of STSPIN32F04B.Also the motor turned of.Also when we plug the USB cable 12 Volt coming back & Motor also start running.We dont understand why this happening.Can Anybody help to sortout this problem because we already designed a board using this refrence design.And while we tested we are not getting 12 Volt.

I used TouchGFX generator 4.15.0 to create a simple project (from GUI Template) on STM32F746 Discovery board, inside TouchGFX generator, "Run Simulator", "Run on Target" and "Generate Code" all are working correctly. However, when I tried to open the generated project using Keil MDK ARM Toolchain, it cannot be compiled. I compared files between the KEIL compile error message and Touchgfx Generator "Run Target" log, there are some bugs for the "Generate Code" for the toolchain Keil MDK.Some error messages from Keil MDK: "no source": Error: #5: cannot open source input file "../touchgfx/generated/fonts/src/font_verdana_10_4bpp_0.cpp": No such file or directory../touchgfx/generated/fonts/src/font_verdana_10_4bpp_0.cpp: 0 warnings, 1 errorcompiling Font_verdana_20_4bpp_0.cpp..."no source": Error: #5: cannot open source input file "../touchgfx/generated/fonts/src/font_verdana_20_4bpp_0.cpp": No such file or directory../touchgfx/generated/fonts/src/font_verdana_20_4bpp_0.cpp: 0 war

Hello ! I'm trying to communicate with a ADC : AD7276. With my MCU STM32H745To get the values from the ADC, I set the CS in low state and CLK 16 times. However, the HAL_SPI_Receive_DMA method does not activate the clock on the SPI.What are the parameters to activate the clock with this method?I tried with the HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA method. But the first byte is missing ( while the byte in TX is transmited ).I am in fullduplex and DMA TX/RX 8-ByteDataSize.Thanks You :)

Our project compiled and linked with no issues when set to HW floating point support. (i.e. The Properties -> C/C ++ Build -> Settings -< Tool Settings -> MCU Settings -> Floating-point ABI is set to "Hardware implementation ...".). However, some math calculations were (very) incorrect when I ran the program. I switched from "Hardware implementation ..." to "Mix HW/SW implementation..." as this worked before we upgraded all our STMicro software (i.e. libraries and tools). But now I see these errors when I try to compile the project:c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.3.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.7-2018-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: error: ../Middlewares/ST/STM32_MotionEC_Library/Lib\MotionEC_CM4F_wc32_ot_hard.a(motion_ec.o) uses VFP register arguments, LynQ Host.elf does not c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.3.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.7-2018-q2-update.
