Using JTAG and SPI1_MISO on PB4

As soon as i configure PB4 as SPI1_MISO, I get disconnected from the target. Even the connection doesn't use the NJTRST pin.

It used to be a bug on the stm32L4, but I could't find it mention on the errata of the stm32U585.

Has anyone (ST) knowledge about that?

Best regards

Armin

Hi @aritec,

Can you give the Number of bug in errata sheet of STM32L4 please?

Thanks

Diane

Which STM32?

What debugging tools are you using?

Hi Diane,

it is 2.2.8  in ES0335 - Rev 15

The error "Full JTAG configuration without NJTRST pin cannot be used" has been there since the introduction of the STM32F1. Using SWD is recommended as workaround. I feel it is a pity, that such long standing bug do not cleaned up, at least with new designs.

Thanks ,

This bug is not directly related to the components (STM32U5, L4, F1,...) but to the JTAG, we recommend to use the SWD debug port instead of the full 4-wire JTAG port.

Sorry that this constraint is still present.

For the time being, we will update the STM32U5 errata sheet in order to inform users.
