How can they be both "Active" and "superseded" ?!

Hello @Andrew Neil

The SPL library is usually functional for STM32 products and is available for download from st.com. However, for new development projects, we recommend migration to the STM32Cube firmware solution.

Thanks

So it should say "NRND", then?

Well, that's a question of interpretation. NRND generally stands for something that will soon be cancelled, which is not (yet) the case here. This is probably the reason why the SPL is still active.

But @Saket_Om literally just said it : "new development projects, we recommend migration to the STM32Cube" - so you do Not Recommend it for New Developments = NRND!
