Hi,We are working with the STM32H7S7 MCU for our project and are planning to use both XSPI interfaces for external memories. Our current plan is: XSPI1: PSRAM XSPI2: External Flash (128MB) We would like to use 128MB of PSRAM, but currently, only 64MB PSRAM devices are available to us. Therefore, we would like to know whether it is possible to integrate two 64MB PSRAM devices with XSPI1 to achieve a total PSRAM capacity of 128MB.I have gone through the AN5050 – Octo-SPI Interface on STM32 MCUs document and understand that the multiplexed mode can be used to connect two external memory devices using separate NCS pins.In this case, if we configure XSPI1 in multiplexed mode and connect two PSRAM devices using the available NCS pins: Can two 64MB PSRAM devices be connected to XSPI1 in this configuration and used as a combined 128MB memory space? If XSPI1 is configured in multiplexed mode for the two PSRAM devices, can XSPI2 still be used independently for the external 128MB Flash? If t

Hello,Im using the RHFLVDS31A  and I have some unused I/O pins. Should I terminate them or should I leave them floating? I saw that there is an internal pull up for Cold Sparing so I didn’t want to impact that.

I’m currently trying to design a STM32N645I0H based board with LAN8742A Ethernet. Right as for the STM32H723 I would prefer to have one NZ2520SH-25MHZ-END4869C 25 MHz crystal for both, the MCU (fed into OSC_IN) and the PHY. The application note says, this is possible and for such kind of analogue clock input OSC_OUT has to be tied to VDD via a 1K resistor. What the AN does NOT say: which VDD is meant? The 3.3V rail or the 1.8V rail?

When using a vl53l8cx configured for motion detection, which of the fields in the motion_indicator struct can I check to see if there was motion?I understand that the motion[32] array has measurements but I'd like to be able to poll this infrequently and check if there was an event between these polls. Something like a motion_detected flag that latches? Thanks!

Hello, I want to measure the power consumption of the rest of my circuit. For that, I’m putting the STM32H562 immediately to sleep. I generate a cube project and put the following in main():int main(void){ HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();} After flashing, the current consumption suggests that it is not running, but I’m not sure. I switch the power off and on again, the current drops by 2.2mA down to 0.5mA (including the rest of the circuit). But now, it is not possible to connect to the processor with the cube programmer. I have to do a discover first, before being able to connect to it again. MY expectation would have been that I’m directly able to flash again. My questions are now: Why does entering the standby (or stop) mode locks the access to the device. Is this a bug or a feature? Is is documented somewhere? Best regards,Peter

I made a custom board with STM32H7S7 , Touchgfx without OS, 2 framebuffers in psram(aps256xxn). At first ,after startthe debugging ,the display is normal, but after a while (random time),display is  freezing. Then I pause the program,I foundit stuck at nema_wait_irq_cl.  This is my screen:This is information when stuck:This project is a test project, the touchgfx code is simply rotate textureMapper1 and move red box on each frame

Hi everyone,I’m currently working with the CR95HF evaluation kit and looking into using the provided DLL (CR95HF.dll) for PC-side communication for a legacy projectHowever, the DLL seems to be compatible with 32-bit systems and I am looking for the 64-bit compatible version. As clarified in other discussions, the DLL needs to be recompiled for x64 compatibility. (CR95HF DLL x64 compatibility – is a 64-bit version available? | Community)So my questions are:Is there now an official x64-compatible version of the CR95HF DLL available? Or is the recommended approach still to request/use the source code and rebuild the DLL for x64 systems?Regards,Aman

Hi,I am an electrical engineer designing a circuit for an STM32C532KCU6 microcontroller, and I am using CubeMX2 version 1.1.1 to validate the clock tree. The datasheet offers a 32.768kHz crystal resonator as a source for the LSE.However, in MX2, the configuration screen for the RCC does not allow the LSE to use crystal/ceramic resonator as a source. In addition, the RTC configuration screen shows an error regarding its LSE source.Could you confirm that 32.768KHz crystal resonator is supported by the LSE for this microcontroller, or do we have to use an external oscillator or RC? Thanks,Benny

Hello.I’ve noticed a discrepancy in the documentation. The electrical schematics for the NUCLEO32 board show that D8 is connected to PF0/PC14 and that D7 is connected to PF1/PC15. However UM1956 User manual for STM32 Nucleo-32 boards (MB1180) says throughout the manual that D8 is connected to PF1/PC15 and that D7 is connected to PF0/PC14.

So I have installed STMCubeMX2 but when creating a project, I cannot choose any MCU other than STM32C I am using MacOS

Hello,I am using STM32CubeIDE Version 2.1.1 and I am experiencing a debugging issue. After flashing new code and starting the debugger, the variable values displayed in the IDE are sometimes completely incorrect. However, I am also transmitting these values via CAN, and the values received there are correct. Because of this, I suspect that the issue might be related to the IDE or the debugger rather than the firmware itself. This behavior only occurs when the board has just been connected to power or has been without power for some time. After the first debug session, if I flash the firmware again and start another debugging session, all values are displayed correctly. In other words, the problem consistently appears during the first debugging session after a power-up, while subsequent debug sessions work as expected.I have attached a screenshot showing the incorrect values displayed in the IDE.Has anyone experienced a similar issue or knows what might be causing this behavior?Thank you i

It seems odd that this semaphore doesn’t apply across the entire STM32WB family.   Is this really the case, and if so, why?

In the STEVAL-MKI183V1’s data brief sheet it’s saying that it uses LPS33HW product family barometer sensors. But when you click on the linked web site of the LPS33HW product it takes you to LPS28DFW’s ST web site. So is the board got update and it now uses LPS28DFW or is it a mistake? If it’s a mistake; where is the LPS33HW’s web site? Because i can’t find it on web. There is no website for LPS33HW on ST that i can find datasheet of it.If there is someone knows that answer please let me know.

Hello,I have two issues with the octospi controllers of the STM32L4P5.First issue.I can’t get both controller to work simultaneously. My target was to use one controller with a QSPI flash (W25Q512JVEIQ) and the second one with an APMemory QSPI PSRAM (APS6404L).I started the project by getting the code to work (it was a port from an STM32L496 project) for the flash. After some adjustments, the code works properly in quad spi mode. Then I added the second controller and doing that brokes the project. The second controller works, but the first one stopped working.I run some checks with a logic analyzer and found that ther is no signals on the I/O lines.CS# is HIGH and never goes low and there is no clock.CS# and clock are properly generated for the second controller.Second issueI can’t get the memory mapped mode to work. The mode is p^roperly enabled, I can read data from 0x90000000 without throwing a hard fault, but data is always 0.I’m wondering if this could be related to the flash model. It

Hello everyone,I am currently working on a project on STM32F756 with SAI1A as asynchronous master and SAI2B as synchronous slave.Config :TDM Mode frame length 256, data size 32, slots 8 Freq 96k Fifo threshold full Master ext sync out enable Slave sync with SAI1Then in my code I call HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA for Slave then for Master but the Slave sends its data 5 us before the master because BCLK and FS clocks are always active. So the Slave does not wait for the master to have its buffer ready. They should be synchro with this config right ? Is there a way to have perfect sync between both SAIs ? Thanks

Hi everyone,I am working on a project using the STM32WB55RG and would appreciate some guidance on integrating the STM32WB BLE stack into an existing FreeRTOS-based application.Current SetupMy project currently uses:MCU: STM32WB55RG RTOS: FreeRTOS with the CMSIS-RTOS2 API Configuration/code generation: STM32CubeMX An existing firmware application that is already functional and uses multiple FreeRTOS tasks, semaphores, flags, etc.At this stage of the project, changing to another RTOS or converting the application to bare-metal is unfortunately not an option, so I need to integrate BLE into the existing FreeRTOS/CMSIS-RTOS2 architecture.BLE RequirementsI would like the STM32WB55 to support:BLE advertising Another BLE device should be able to connect to the STM32WB55 and retrieve data from it, most likely through a custom GATT service/characteristic.ProblemI enabled BLE using STM32CubeMX and generated the required BLE code. However, I am having problems when initializing the BLE application

Hi,I’m trying to run a simple FSBL application from NOR flash on a custom STM32N657L0 board. The application runs without any issues in Dev-Mode from RAM. However, when I sign and flash the same application, it does not run.I’m using a custom external flash loader for the W25Q64JV NOR flash, based on the template provided in the STM32Cube repository. I’ve attached it for your reference.I also have a question regarding VDDCORE. It is currently set to 0.89 V, while we are operating in normal-speed mode. Should we reduce the voltage to 0.8 V? Could the current VDDCORE setting be a potential cause of the problem?General info:Board is working with 3v3 domain XSPI2 is used. HSE with no PLL is used (48MHz).I have used the following the guides provided by ST for the tests:

Greetings for the day,I am working on STMC5 microcontroller and with that since we need to use the STMCubeMX2 for code generation, I end up generating a code that doesn’t have all the peripherals initialised in mx_system.c and not included in mx_hal_def.h. Any idea why that is happening ? Am I missing some configuration in the tool ? It can be seen that mx_hal_def.h doesn’t contain all the peripheral headers. This is the issue.

Are there any more resources to understand how to use STEVAL-HARVEST1, how does the energy flow from super capacitors to the MCU and also the back up capacitors. I feel few things are missing the schematic and the user guide. I want to first implement a small UART program with energy harvesting. Can anyone guide through steps in achieving it. How to connect this to board, does it mean I need to add any external wire from harvester solar panel and short it here?I have read https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um3539-getting-started-with-stevalharvest1-energy-harvesting-board-for-nucleowl55-stmicroelectronics.pdfhttps://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/steval-harvest1-schematic.pdfhttps://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=11369460Thanks in advance.

Hello,I am currently working on a drone project based on the STEVAL-FCU001V2 board. My hardware setup consists of:Motors: 4x 8520 Coreless DC motors (3.7V).Battery: 1S LiPo 600mAh (30C).Frame: Custom micro-drone frame (~60g AUW).I am looking for a reliable and fully functional firmware (source code or .bin) that is compatible with the latest mobile application for flight control of STM.I’ve noticed that the original ST Drone (or ST BLE Drone) application sometimes has connectivity or stability issues with recent Android/iOS versions. My questions are:Is there a specific version of the STSW-FCU001 firmware that you recommend for best stability in 2026?Is the "ST Drone" app still the official way to fly this board via BLE, or is there a community fork or a newer ST app recommended for this specific FCU?Are there any known patches for the PID values or PWM frequency (specifically for 8520 motors) to improve the hover stability?Any advice, GitHub links, or updated STSW packages would be gre

Title: Hello,I am investigating BootROM behavior on an STM32N6570-DK.My expectation is based on the STM32N6 BootROM documentation and errata:- PG10 is used as BootFailedn in blocking failure conditions.<span title="ES0620-STM32N6_Rev4.pdf, page 7" />- There is a known erratum: “PG10 (BootFailedn) signal not maintained at 1 during blocking failure”, with no workaround listed.<span title="ES0620-STM32N6_Rev4.pdf, page 7" />Observed behavior on my board:- If the content of the OctaFlash is erased, I do not receive the expected serial BootFail-related output on PG10 / USART5_TX.- Measuring PG10 with an oscilloscope, I see a ~4.3 MHz square wave instead.- I observe the same square wave again after setting BOOT1=1 and BOOT0=0 and then resetting the board.Additional context:- I found guidance that Development Boot mode can be relevant for programming/erasing external flash on STM32N6570-D

Hi,I have custom PCB with STM32WB5MMG, which has STM32WB55VGY. I want to update FUS and software stuck and I would like to confirm which start address is the correct one. Should it be the one from the column STM32WB5xxG(1M) (as the chip is STM32WB5MMG) or the one from column STM32WB5xxY(640k) (as the MCU is STM32WB55VGY)?

Hello everyone,I am trying to use TLS 1.3 with Mbed TLS on an STM32H573 through the Secure Manager’s Global PSA API.At the moment, I am seeing the following errors: psa_sign_hash() / psa_sign_message()→ PSA_ERROR_NOT_PERMITTEDpsa_generate_key() / psa_import_key()→ PSA_ERROR_GENERIC_ERRORThe persistent ECC keys are provisioned with the required signing permissions, and both the Secure Manager and the non-secure application start correctly. Some TLS 1.3 HKDF operations had to be implemented locally because the PSA Crypto API version in use is 1.0 and does not provide separate HKDF-Extract and HKDF-Expand algorithms. My questions are:Are persistent ECC keys supported with psa_sign_hash() through the Global PSA API? Does the Secure Manager support volatile keys with psa_generate_key() and psa_import_key()? Are additional permissions or a Secure Module required? Is there a support matrix or an official TLS 1.3 example for this setup? Does anyone have experience with Secure Manager and MbedTLS
