Hi, I am creating a project CubeMX that uses both Secure and NonSecure. I using USART1 for debugging, and my application only runs on SecureApp and cannot run NonSecureApp. I tried implementing the same as Template Isolation XIP but it still didn't work.

Hi, I have a question regarding the STM32N6 BootROM flash boot process. My understanding is that the BootROM loads the FSBL from an external XSPI flash device. However, it is not clear to me whether the BootROM: Uses a fixed XSPI/XSPIM configuration (for example, a specific XSPIM port), or Automatically probes and detects the flash location across available XSPI/XSPIM ports. For a custom STM32N6 board, the external NOR flash is connected through XSPIM Port1. I would like to understand whether the BootROM is capable of automatically discovering and booting from a flash connected to Port1, or whether Flash Boot is restricted to a specific XSPI/XSPIM port configuration. Could you please clarify: Does the STM32N6 BootROM scan multiple XSPI/XSPIM ports during Flash Boot? Is the boot source port fixed in ROM or configurable through OTP settings? If the flash is connected only to XSPIM Port1, can the BootROM still load the FSBL from it? Is there any documentation describ

Bare-metal application in C using STM32CubeIDE and HAL library. I am trying to transmit an 8-byte CAN Message at 1Mbps baud rate every 1ms. The best I can do right now is successfully transmit one CAN message every 3ms (with every 13th or 14th message going out at 4ms interval.). Any transmission rate >3ms I do not have any issues. The system Clock is set to 80Mhz, using external 8Mhz crystal. Every 1ms (based on 500us timer), I add a CAN message to a queue (size 128). I check for any available TxMailbox and try to transmit using HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage. I also have a CANTransmit function that calls HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage in the HAL_CAN_TxMailboxEmptyCallback in case all 3 mailboxes were full. At present, there are no other devices trying to send any CAN messages on the bus expect the STM32 microcon

Hi,  Usually I code in a terminal text editor, compile and flash my code in the command line.  I used CubeMX to create a makefile, then modified the makefile to include certain commands I can run from the command line. I used OpenOCD and GDB to debug code from the command line.  It is becoming a mission to do intense debugging where I can see the values of registers all at the same time.  I would like the option to if required switch to STM32CubeIDE only for intense Debugging and do my normal coding with my current setup.  I'm on Linux, I imported a Makefile project without being presented with the option of choosing the part.  Now My project doesn't know which target I am compiling for. Is there any way to change these settings in CubeIDE ? It seems grayed out for me... Here is the error I'm getting    Thanks,  DJ

Hello, I want to set LSM6DSV's both accelerometer and gyro's output rate to 960Hz. And I want to use INT1 pin to signal Data-Ready. My question is whether I should set INT1_CTRL register's b1: INT1_DRDY_G or b0: INT1_DRDY_XL. The user manual says: "When both the accelerometer and gyroscope are on, the accelerometer is synchronized with the gyroscope, and the data rates of the two sensors are integer multiples of each other." It sounds like if I set both output rates to 960, I can assume that when accelerometer's data is ready, the gyroscope's data is also ready. So will it be correct to just set INT1_CTRL register's b0 to 1?

Hello, I have just updated STM32CubeAI Studio to version 1.2. In the previous version, the AI Studio generated: Middleware Application code Raw files (e.g., network_atonbuf.xSPI2.raw) My workflow was to add the middleware and application code to my project, then convert the raw file (network_atonbuf.xSPI2.raw) to a hex file. Everything worked fine until I updated the studio. In version 1.2, instead of generating the raw file, it now generates a C source file: network_atonbuf.xSPI2.c. I am unsure what to do with this new .c file. I placed it in my project, but nothing works as expected. Could someone please advise on how to proceed or explain the change in workflow?

I have a scroll list lightSoundSelectorScroll made by several items from the container lightSoundItem. In the view I call lightSoundSelectorScroll.setVisible(false); or lightSoundSelectorScroll.setVisible(true); but, when calling this->isVisible() inside void lightSoundItem::handleTickEvent() I always have true even if I called lightSoundSelectorScroll.setVisible(false); before Why is that?

Hello, I encountered an issue with text selection in STM32CubeIDE on macOS. Environment: - STM32CubeIDE version: (?????? ???? ??????, ????????? 1.15.0) - macOS version: Tahoe 26.5 - Device: MacBook Pro 16" (Apple M4 Pro) Issue: Text selection behaves incorrectly. When selecting text using the trackpad or mouse, the highlighted area does not match the expected selection. Observed problems: - Selection jumps unpredictably - Difficult to select continuous text - Selection sometimes skips characters or lags Steps to reproduce: 1. Open any source file 2. Try selecting text using trackpad or mouse 3. Observe incorrect highlighting Expected behavior: Text selection should be accurate and follow cursor movement. Actual behavior: Selection is inconsistent and inaccurate. Additional info: This might be related to macOS trackpad gestures or Eclipse-based editor behavior. Is this a known issue? Best regards

Hello Team, I want to connect a USB camera to an STM32H7 board. My STM32H7 supports USB OTG/Host. Is it possible to interface a USB camera with STM32H7? Does STM32H7 support USB Video Class (UVC), or is it better to use a DCMI parallel camera instead? Please suggest the required driver/middleware and recommended approach.   Thank You, Vijaya

Right now, the crystal for RTL8211F won't start and I don't know why. I'm guessing that it's an unstable crystal. Anyway! To enable the ETH Clock Output for my Ethernet PHY, I've set the the ETH Clock Output:Then I've set the CK_KER_ETH1 to either 25 MHz or 125 MHz. I've chosen the 25 MHz option.According to the STM32MP257F reference manual RM0457, the ETH Clock Output can only be used for 125 MHz.But according to the STM32MPU Wiki, it's possible to use 25 MHz as ETH Clock Output:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Ethernet_device_tree_configuration#RGMII_with_25_MHz_on_ETH_CLK_-28no_PHY_Crystal-29--CLK125_from_PHY_-28Reference_clock_-28standard_RGMII_clock_name-29-29All you need to do Is to add the pinmuxeth1_clk_pins_mx: eth1_clk_mx-0 {pins {pinmux = <STM32_PI

Hi, I have follow the DS12900 Rev 7 Figure 21 (Schematic example for USB Type-C at 2.5W with TCPP01-M12) and still can draw more that 1.5A from USB PD source, the voltage seen on CC1 is close to 1.4V (which corresponds to 3A capability). Not sure what is wrong/missing in the circuit;

Our device needs to comply with IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity standards (target SL2/SL3).We plan to adopt a dual-MCU architecture for this project:STM32G4: Responsible for real-time power control, protection logic and analog front-end processing. This series fully meets our requirements for power-related functions, but lacks sufficient native security features to satisfy IEC 62443 independently. STM32U5 or STM32H5: Dedicated to network communication, secure boot, TLS/IPSec encryption, secure data storage, firmware encryption and remote update, undertaking all cybersecurity functions required by IEC 62443.Both STM32U5 and STM32H5 are based on Cortex-M33 core. There are clear positioning differences between them. I would appreciate your advice on the following questions

Hi, I am developing an I3C target application that responds to I3C private messages from the controller. Hi,  We're hitting intermittent Ethernet RX corruption on the STM32N657 in RMII mode with a LAN8742 PHY. On some cold  boots the receive path is broken for the whole session: the MAC flags incoming frames with the dribble bit  (RDES3.DE) and error summary (ES), or drops them entirely, and the MMC alignment-error counter climbs while the  CRC-error counter stays at zero. TX is fine. It never recovers on its own, and how severe it is varies from board  to board. It's not tied to auto-negotiation, link state or speed — it's set the moment the MAC comes out of reset.  The key point: we can reproduce it with the PHY in internal digital loopback, so there's no cable and no link  partner involved. Frames leave the MAC on the RMII TX pins, loop back inside the PHY, and come back on the RMII RX  pins. Since it still corrupts there, the problem is in the MAC↔PHY RMII digital interface and the shared 50 MHz  REF_CLK, not in the cable/magnetics/analog side.  What fixes it is a MAC-only reset (RCC

Hello All, I’m working with a STUSB4500 chip and have hit an issue right from the get go. For reasons I can’t see, the chip is not being powered when connected to a USB-C source. Probing VDD shows continuity to VBUS, and probing GND shows good continuity to the power source GND. I’ve attached my schematic below. Any ideas where I messed up?

The STM32G441KB datasheet is still watermarked with DRAFT , seems to be latest version, DS12960 Rev 5.That can make a user a little unsure… 😉

Hi everyone,I'm working on an STM32 project using STM32CubeMX and noticed that initialization code is generated for peripherals that I don't always use.Is there a recommended way to configure CubeMX so that only the required peripheral initialization code is generated?Thanks!

Hello,ST Customer Support advised me to post this question in the ST Community.I am planning to use a NUCLEO-WL55JC1 (MB1389) as a transmitter in Japan. According to the official ST Japan certification list, this board has Japanese radio certification number 018-210191:https://www.stmcu.jp/technical/hint/no-119/The Japanese certification database shows the following information: Emission designation: G1D Frequencies: 920.6 to 928.0 MHz Channel spacing: 200 kHz, 38 channels Antenna power: 16.0 mW However, the Avnet Japan product page states that the certification applies only to LoRa and Sigfox modulation:https://www.avnet.com/japan/products/product-highlights/stmicroelectronics-nucleo-wl55jc/I need to determine whether certification 018-210191 also covers custom 2-FSK or 2-GFSK transmission.Could an ST employee or someone familiar with the certification documents please clarify the following? Does certification 018-210191 cover 2-FSK or 2-GFSK transmission? If it does, what are

Hi all,I am Jacopo and I am working on a project using STM32U5G9ZJ and I updated to the latest firmware package (STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.9.0) with STM32CubeMX.I noticed that with the new package the call to HAL_ADC_Start fails to actually start the conversion if used with ADC4. Digging inside the function code I noticed that the call to LL_ADC_REG_StartConversion(hadc->Instance) got moved a couple of lines with respect to the previous version. This means that when the check for ADC4 passes nothing is done, and moving the function call back fixes the problem.Is this a bug? For now I fixed it by manually calling LL_ADC_REG_StartConversion after HAL_ADC_Start, but this is less than ideal.Thank you. Jacopo

I want to use the 2-wire Direct Test Mode defined in Bluetooth Core Spec Vol. 6 Part F for RF testing of my STM32WBA custom board.I've already tried BLE_TransparentMode.
