Why CubeMX generated code wipes out USER CODE areas ?

I use the latest STM32F4CubeMX and latest TrueStudio and updated firmware library. I have chosen in the Project Settings "code generator" option "Keep User Code when re-generating" but it does not. User code is strictly within the USER CODE labeled areas but it gets removed. Why?

It is strange that I don't get notifications of the posts I started here...

All my user code was repeatedly wiped out.... Now I am working in another CubeMX generated project and the user code is preserved. Would be good to know what are the conditions to always keep the user areas ... The CubeMX manual implies that it is always preserved ...
