STM32L010C6Tx PWM TIM2 Channel 1 not working.

MŻuk.1
Associate

Hello,

I am using Stm32CubeIDE. I configured simple program [code attached] in Cube to test if PWM works properly.

I get expected results for PA1 and PA2 (channel 2&3), but no voltage at PA0.

When writing this pin (PA0) as GPIO I get both low and high state.

If I toggle this pin as GPIO in Tim2 cplt callback, I get ~1.5V as expected.

Even more - if I map PWM output from channel 1 to PA8 instead of PA0, it works correctly.

I tried two chips, both seems to have the same issue.

Has anyone encountered similiar problems?

Thank you for quick response.

It turns out that CubeMX (Version: 5.5.0-RC6) generated code, which doesn't set AFSEL0.

In tim.c workaround:

void HAL_TIM_MspPostInit(TIM_HandleTypeDef* timHandle)
{

  GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0};
  if(timHandle->Instance==TIM2)
  {
  /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_MspPostInit 0 */

  /* USER CODE END TIM2_MspPostInit 0 */
    __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE();
    /**TIM2 GPIO Configuration

    GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0;
    GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP;
    GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;
    GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW;

Try simpler code, Try simple things first.

Read out and check/post the TIM and relevant GPIO registers content.

Ah, CubeMX did not set the AF properly?

So problem solved? Please select your post as Best so that thread is marked as solved.
