The CubeMX/CubeIDE login issue is resolved

Semer CHERNI
ST Employee

Hello CubeMX/CubeIDE users.

From the time period of May 14 to May 17, 2024, some users have faced issues when connecting to the ST network while using CubeMX or CubeIDE.
Some examples were issues downloading firmware packages using STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE tools, or logging in to myST through the software.

The misbehavior in one of our servers that lead to the failed connection attempts was identified and fixed. The login mechanism is now working as expected.

We apologize for the inconvenience faced by all the CubeMX/CubeIDE users.

In case of login or download issue, we refer to the following article on how to set the “Network connection” for the tools: How to set the network connection parameters for STM32CubeIDE

If you still face issues, contact us or reply to this post so we can provide support.

KR,
Semer.

Hello Semer,

thanks for the update on this topic.

Such things happen, but the next time it would be nice, if such problems would be announced earlier and not after 3 days when they have been fixed.

This time my colleague and I seached the forums for quite a while, tested different proxy settings and opened a support case. This waste of time could have been avoided with an earlier announcement.

Best regards
Matthias

Well that will be an improvement. But you could make our lives easier if you just got rid of this need to log-in. If you need to provide instructions on how to set up a network connection then you are making things more complicated than they need to be.
