I'm looking for a remote camera solution from STM32L4 mcu dcmi interface through ~20meters long STP cable using serdes IC like the STSMIA832. I don't care using all 4 pairs of the stp-utp cable. Will this work ? Regards

For commercial project you'd probably want to discuss with an FAE

App Note suggests there are evaluations boards, and the connectivity seems equivalent to DCMI

I have my doubts about the STSMIA832.

First because mouser report it as obsolete and second the application note uses a camera with an interface called "SMIA".

Not sure about this IC !

App Note is 8 years old, should tell you what you need to know about the efficacy.

In 2018 people doing cameras over twisted pairs are using Ethernet w/PoE
