Hi all,
I am considering the STM32L073RZ for a low earth orbit application. Would this MCU be suitable for the following operational environment?
Altitudes of 590 – 630 km.
Temperature environment range is -40°C to +70°C.
Total Ionizing Dose (TID) exposure to 12 krad(Si).
Would this device be susceptible to outgassing in a vacuum environment?
If not suitable then are any alternatives available from ST? I have a strong preference for the ST development environment.
Regards

ST only produces very few rad hard part. No MCU found on the website. Look if Cern/Nase/Esa already did some radiation test, such test are mostly done only by possible users. Another aspect is project impact of your contibution failing. If it is a single experiment, constraints are much lower as if your contribuation is critical for the whole mission.

This is a primarily user-driven forum, with only casual ST presence. You should ask this kind of questions directly, through web support form or through FAE.
