STWBC86: Does it come pre-loaded with firmware?

Hi all, I'm designing a Qi charger and I'm wondering if I'll need to flash each IC in production, or if they come pre-loaded with firmware? If I have to flash them, is it done via the I²C interface? Thanks!

Dear Customer

The STWBC86 is not pre-loaded from production. It is necessary to write the FW. The latest FW available on https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-wbc86fwbpp.html .

The FW is possible update by I2C interface from our WLC GUI (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-wpstudio.html) of from host controller.

For production line our GUI now support command way and easy to integrate to factory tools.
