I am using a STBC08 to charge the battery in my application. It works fine, but if the battery isn't charged for a long time the battery goes into over-discharge protection. In this state the battery terminals are at 0 V and trying to charge the battery using the STBC08 doesn't do anything (even for 2+ hours). I can revive the battery by applying a short pulse of ~5 V to the battery using an external power supply. Is there anyway to apply this short pulse of higher voltage without using an external power supply? Battery is FT502333P from Fellotech, data sheet attached.
