STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Hello:I loaded the newest Cube FW v1.14. On a project that generated and compiled perfectly well under 1.13, it now blows up in 1.14, with around 185 compile errors. Many related to including ARM include files that worked under 1.13 (arm_math.h)I have loaded interface v5.2, and so far no issues there, but have not checked any of the feature fixes under this release.What's up with the issues in 1.14 libs?

Hi,I have problems with adding the repository of CubeMx into the Truestudio workspace. I wanted to update my existing project to Repository 1.11 (from 1.10), using the latest cubeMX version. But somehow I can not compile anymore now, as the Compiler can't find the include files anymore. It seems like it is still searching for the repository V1.10, but I don't know why or where I can tell which repository to use. My repo lies under C:\TrueStudioWorkspace\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_L0_V1.11.2thanks very much for your help!

I have just realized, that the CPU speed of the STM32H7 series has increased from 400 MHz to 480 MHz, on the ST website and in the documents.The STM32MUX clock tool, doesn't though know about this yet.I have not been able to find any info on, if this is some new measurements, so that this speed increase affects all revisions of the STM32H7's, or if this only affects the newer revisions.Has anybody stumbled upon this information somewhere?

Hi,STM32CubeMX 5.1.0 RC6 can't load the STM32CubeL4 v1.14.0!I have downloaded the STM32CubeL4 v1.14.0.zip file, but the STM32CubeMX 5.1.0 RC6 still can't load this .zip file.How to fix this problem?

I have the STM32F769 Discovery kit to evaluate using the F7 for a future project. I want to enable a timer input, so rather than claw through the poorly written examples (for instance, the TouchGFX example doesn't even load onto the chip) I thought I'd use MX to enable the peripheral I want.Except when I run MX and tell it I have a Discovery board, it gives me a screen full of conflicts and unsupported features. MX does not, itself, understand how to configure a Discovery board (despite being able to pick it out of a menu), nor is there an .ioc file available for the Discovery board.So STMicro's big new thing, that sets them apart from everyone else, a graphical configurator for board setups... isn't used by STMIcro.Why even bother to make a discovery board if you're not going to support it with your own software? How, exactly, am I supposed to discover how to use their great tools and chips if they can't be bothered to finish the example? Why would anyone think this is a selling point

I'm using STM32CubeMX and Atollic's TrueStudio to make a simple program that writes to the serial port and turns on and of ports B3 and B4.I've tried every possible combination in the GPIO section of Pinout & Confiuration of CubeMX and can't read any volts output to those pins. The serial port works fine. I'm using freeRTOS as middleware and have the gpio, uart and freertos in separate source files. During the ADC configuration for STM32G071RB in CubeMX, the program hangs. This is only for ADC. I checked it on two computers.

Hi all,I am using cubeMx code base for interfacing eMMC with controller STM32L496QGI6. With the support of FAT FS, I could write/read files to/from eMMC. But I am having two issues.#issue 1. Getting issues after formatting emmc from the device( by using "f_mkfs" api). Every time the files written to emmc after format is getting corrupted and this has been verified by mounting emmc as MSD( care taken about the unmounting of emmc before initializing the USB MSD stack). Also it is taking long time to detect on PC and some times it won't detect. I am doing a processor reset after every USB disconnection from PC( it is a requirement). Interesting thing is that from second USB plugging on wards(after formatting) file is showing correctly on PC. Eg. File content just after formatting and plugging device to PC : øÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ 2. Code generation for STM32L051 will create an empty crc.c file when using latest firmware (1.11.2). Actually, the file exists, but MX_CRC_Init() function body is empty.CRC module is activated and changing parameters does not generate any code.Everything works well with FW 1.10.0.CubeMX v. 5.0.1Alessandro

How to set baudrate different than 9600 in cubemx?​

Hello, I use CubeMX and System Workbench (SW4STM32). I generated a simple project for my board (N144 STM32H743ZI),using HAL drivers and managed to build it and debug it. I then started to play with the project, suddenly I noticed I could not debug anymore, even tho the build was finishing without errors. I investigated and replicated the issue, simply by adding Cortex M7/DCache enabled in CubeMX. I don;'t think the issue is cache specific and found that what actually happens is that the elf file (which initially was created correctly) is now tiny and contains only two entries : _finit() and _init()I tried on two different PCs, tried to load the hex with the stlink utility to no avail... apparently, a project that was building correctly, suddenly becomes "faulty", the build process terminates with no errors, the elf and hex are created, but they do not contain anymore what they were supposed to.I tried using H7 firmware 1.3.2 and 1.3.0 : nothing changed.Did anyone experience something s

I create the project in STM32CubeMX, version 5.1.0.Select STM32F3-Discovery board.Delete USB and change HAL to LLClick "Generate Code" and the program hangs up. the screenshot and .ioc file is attached.How to learn the reason?

Using System Workbench 5.8 and 5.9 (both have same issue) with eclipse CubeMX plug in 5.1.0. Target device STM32L462RE. Library is STM32Cube FW_L4 V1.13.0. Initial project and code generation is fine. Launching STLINK-V2 works normally. When making subsequent cubeMX changes STM32L462RETx_FLASH.ld goes from normal to an empty file and debug launch is no longer possible. Restoring the .ld file from a backup area allows debug launch again. BAD Dog.

Hi all,I am working on stm32l486 chip.When I created (using CubeMx) two tasks with a stack size equal to 256 words. The project is running well:osThreadDef(Task1, vTask1, osPriorityNormal, 0, 256); Task1Handle = osThreadCreate(osThread(Task1), NULL);   osThreadDef(Task2, vTask2, osPriorityNormal, 0, 256); Task2Handle = osThreadCreate(osThread(Task2), NULL);The problem appears when I added a third task with a stack size equal to 256:osThreadDef(Task3, vTask3, osPriorityNormal, 0, 256); Task3Handle = osThreadCreate(osThread(Task3), NULL);If I reduce the stack size of each Task to 128, the problem disappear.Why I can't use 3 tasks with a stack size equal to 256 for each task ?

I have saved the attached project file in CubeMX, but I can not open it again. CubeMX just waits forever after I start to open it. What can I do? Please give me a hint quicly, I am working on an urgent project. Thanks.

I downloaded the last version of stm32cubeMX and touchGFXdesigner, I am trying to test some examples of touchGFX, when I open the generated .ioc file for the target stm32F746G-Discovery V2.0.0, I saw the proyect needs the STM32Cube FW_F7 V1.13.0 package, but stm32cubemx show me an error "error downloading the following file stmcube32_fw_v1130.zip" and I can't find the package to manual download.Can anybody help me? Thanks!

Hi All,I have downloaded the latest version of the fatfs library from http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/00index_e.htmlI have a project with the fatfs middleware running, the project was created via cubemx. So far I have had no issues with the librabry, however I would like to update to the latest version. Simply copying the files over is causing a long list of errors, not in my code but in the files for the middleware.How do I find out what version of fatfs I am currently on, and how do I properly update to the latest version?Thanks all for your time! :D

Hello.I was using CubeMX to configure an ADC and a comparator both with enabled interrupt. After the code generation I looked into the init functions but I could not find any interrupt configuration (priority setting and enabeling). In the HAL_COMP_START_IT function there is the starting of the interrupt. But not the priority setting.So my question is, where is the code generated by CubeMX which does set the interrupt priority? Or do I have to set that manually?best regards, Benjamin.
