I have a project ported from STMU575-EV board to NUCLEO-U575 as well as now also NUCLEO-U5A5 (providing an USB device). It is an USB ECM application (demo) - but it shows you the differences between all the different boards used, in terms of USB initialization and use.It should help also to get an USB VCP (CDC, ACM) project working with both boards. If you want to see how the USB differs on a U5A5 (which has an USB OTH HS PHY integrated) vs. an U575 (with has just an USB OTH FS), and how to use U5A5 HS PHY also for FS speed...:you can have a look at my project:https://github.com/tjaekel/STM32U5xx_USB_ECM The main differences to be found are in:void SystemClock_Config(void):the U5A5 works only with an external HSE, and it seems to need some dedicated PLL settingvoid MX_USB_OTG_HS_PCD_Init(void):the initialization is different, but watch that still the USB_OTG_HS is set on instance, even I use later the HS PHY in PCD_SPEED_FULL modevoid HAL_PCD_MspInit(PCD_HandleTypeDef

I'm trying to get SAI working with DMA on a NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q but have not been successful.I've tried using both standard request mode and linked-list mode, but the DMA configuration code is never generated.On an older STM32L4 project, the bottom of `HAL_SAI_MspInit` looked like: hdma_sai1_a.Instance = DMA2_Channel1; hdma_sai1_a.Init.Request = DMA_REQUEST_1; hdma_sai1_a.Init.Direction = DMA_PERIPH_TO_MEMORY; hdma_sai1_a.Init.PeriphInc = DMA_PINC_DISABLE; hdma_sai1_a.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE; hdma_sai1_a.Init.PeriphDataAlignment = DMA_PDATAALIGN_WORD; hdma_sai1_a.Init.MemDataAlignment = DMA_MDATAALIGN_WORD; hdma_sai1_a.Init.Mode = DMA_CIRCULAR; hdma_sai1_a.Init.Priority = DMA_PRIORITY_LOW; if (HAL_DMA_Init(&hdma_sai1_a) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   /* Several peripheral DMA handle pointers point to the same DMA handle. Be aware that there is only one channel to perform all the requested DMAs. */ __HAL_LINKDMA(saiHandle,hdmarx,hdma_sai1_a); __HAL_LINKDMA(

Hi,I'm trying to implement an STM32H735 device with LwIP and FreeRTOS. I've been following this documentation: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308Although I've managed to resolve debugging errors, I'm still unable to successfully ping the device. Any assistance from fellow developers would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased the FOC motor development kit, and am learning to use it to control BLDC motors.  Disclaimer: I am totally new to STM32 hardware, but I have experience developing with both Arduino and esp32 in C/C++.  Any good sources for getting started with this hardware to run BLDC motors would be much appreciated.MCSDK 6.2.1Control Board: B-G473E-ZEST1SPower Board: STEval-LVLP01Motor: MOONS BLDC R57BLB50L2Problem: I am able to run my motor in Hall Sensor Speed sense mode, but am unable to run in any sensorless mode.  I am able to generate code with Workbench, compile and upload with cubeIDE.  I am able to connect with ST Motor Pilot using the MC_FOC_SDK GUI.  Hitting start/stop changes status from IDLE to RUN, but I get no motion from the motor.I am thinking the problem may be in the current feedback.  I get erratic speed feedback (in the ranges of +-20k rpm).  I have tried selecting both the internal and external op-amps in MC Workbench with

Posted on December 05, 2014 at 10:05i'v tested the nucleo on arm mbed, very nice. but, when i use the onboard stlink v2.1 to debug my application board, the mbed mass-storeage disk is always pop-up a window. so, can i disable this disk (not by disbable the system autorun function), only keep the stlink swd & cdc functions? #nucleo-f401re-st-link/v2-1

Hello,I am new to STM parts. We are using STM32F407 Discovery 1 evaluation boards. I was wanting to configure the two boards to communicate over CAN with one another. In STMCubeMx, I select the STM32F407 Discovery 1 board and see the following that CAN available is 0.From this I take it that the STM32F407 Discovery 1 evaluation boards do not support CAN examples even though the 405/407 have two CAN modules?

Hi,I am trying to configure multiplexed OCTO SPI for the above MCU.Only Chip Select Port 1 NCS comes up as an alterantive for OCTOSPI1, and for OCTOSPI2 the Chip Select Port is is disabled, I would have expected Port 2 NCS to come up here... Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I am attempting to enter the system memory bootloader and reload my microcontroller via DFU on USB.  I am having great difficulty getting it to work - I will detail the things I've tried below:I have tried entering the bootloader via software and also by holding the BOOT0 pin low and resetting the part.  I can enter the bootloader by both methods, but in neither case does the HSE start, nor the USB enumerate properly.  When connected to a windows PC, I get "Device Descriptor Request Failed" if I check in the device manager. When attempting to enter the bootloader via software, I use the following method:  In the program below, I set _BOOTLOADER_TOKEN to BOOTLOADER_MAGIC_CODE and perform an NVIC_Reset - BOOTLOADER_TOKEN is reserved in my linker definition file, so it is not cleared by startup code, and I check for it at startup.  This code executes in main() after HAL_Init() but before I have initialized any peripherals or clocks or anything.  The behavior i

Hello,i'm trying to set up a new project with CAN in Interrupt mode. Therefor i generate a project with stm32cubemx and enabled the interrupt 0 for fdcan1 and also in the NVIC-settings the Interrupt is enabled:In polling mode, i can receive Frames and got no problems. When i try the to use the NVIC, the ISR-Adress is wrong an it don't jump to the generated "FDCAN1_IT0_IRQHandler". The Controller jumps to an undefined Adress: In the startup_stm32l553cetx.s the spelling of the ISR is correct.I've tried to get some more informations about the vector table. The ISR for fdcan_it0 should be in 0xbf900dc, the function of NVIC_GetVector gives me the Adress 0xbf97755.Do you have any idea for a solution?Greetings

Hello,   I am using STM32WB55RE (MCU) in my custom HW. For testing the HW I have flashed BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS example firmware. "..\..\STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.16.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\BLE\BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS"  I am getting the advertisement of the HRSTM. So HW is working now but some how I am not able to reflash it. Looks like my flashing setup stopped working. I have rechecked all the flashing connections. 1. NRST 2. SYS_JTCK_SWCLK (PA14) 3. SYS_JTMS_SWDIO (PA13) 4. GND   Can you please help to fix this issue?   Thanks.

Hi,I'm trying to make a thread project. I create my project properly and wrote just multicast coap codes but when I run my code on the board, it get error. I follow my code and I found this function "otInstanceErasePersistentInfo()" returns "OT_ERROR_INVALID_STATE". Firstly I check my fus version and its okay also check my stack and option bytes and they are okay too. How can I solve this problem because there is no error from my codes or fus/stack firmwares?Best regards.

STM32CubeWL = "STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32WL series", currently version 1.3.0.Is there a new release planned? Background: We are using version 1.3.0. We have issues with an application based on LoRaWAN_End_Node_FreeRTOS. We suspect the FreeRTOS integration is causing errors. Maybe a rework / update would help. See Application based on LoRaWAN_End_Node_FreeRTOS hangs sporadically We also have an eye on the STM32WL5M module, but we need to be sure the firmware using FreeRTOS runs stable. Thanks!

Hello, I am trying to test the e-compass application with the IKS4A1 connected to a Nucleo-F446 and Unicleo-GUI. The firmware of the Nucleo F446 was produced from Cube-MX following the "Getting started with the STMicroelectronics X-CUBE-MEMS1 software package for STM32MX".For some unexplainable (to me) reason, it looks like the board looks for sensors placed on another expansion board I don't have so that I am unable to get sensor data from the magnetometer placed on the IKS4A1. The IKS4A1 magnetometer is placed on the right side of the board. I have not the green board shown in the picture and it seems to me I have not configured it.  When I open Unicleo the user message tab shows: Port: COM8 Successfully Opened PresString Received: MEMS shield demo,12,10.0.0,1.5.0,IKS4A1 Firmware Type: E-Compass Expansion Board IKS4A1 Successfully Initialized but nothing works. Here my Cube project. Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I'm using a STM32 F446RETx trying to trigger an ADC conversion on PA0. I use TIM2 Channel 1 using a pwm with no output to trigger the ADC 1 conversion on channel 0. I have exactly one line that trigger an error at compilation (When I comment it, it compile without any error):../Core/Src/tim.c:48:13: error: 'TIM_Base_InitTypeDef' has no member named 'AutoReloadPreload'48 | htim2.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE;../Core/Src/tim.c:48:34: error: 'TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE' undeclared (first use in this function)48 | htim2.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE;I would like to know if I'm using the wrong firmware and if yes, how can I get the IDE to use the correct one.Or instead how can I configure the AutoReloadPreload register in bare-metal C.The firmware package I'm using is STM32Cube FW_F4 V1.23.0

Good morning everyone, I'm new to the community and also new to programming. Could someone tell me if with touchGFX you can create buttons that appear from the right or left no matter when you switch from one screen to another? Thank you

I wanted to configure the ADC in the H series EVK but couldn't find any resources to configure it, can anyone let me know how to do it??

Hi all, I'm designing a Qi charger and I'm wondering if I'll need to flash each IC in production, or if they come pre-loaded with firmware? If I have to flash them, is it done via the I²C interface? Thanks!

Hi all, I designed a custom 5W charger around the STWBC86. I programmed the config and patch found in STSW-WBC86FWBPP to the IC using WPSTUDIO and I got it to charge my device (another custom circuit, this one using a TI BQ51050 receiver IC)... for 4 seconds. Every four seconds or so it turns off, then starts again.I can tell it turns off by monitoring the input current (550mA when active, brief period around 400mA, then less than 10mA). The PWR_TRANSFER_ON LED matches what I see on my power supply. This input current is consistent with off-the-shelf chargers used with my RX circuit. My RX circuit works with off-the-shelf Qi chargers. If I try to charge something else (my phone, or my headphones) I get a tiny red blip (maybe 0.5s) instead of 4s. I suspect those peripherals are trying to pull way more than 500mA.The documentation on this chip is extremely limited, and I have yet to find what is causing this problem. The IC temperature is OK, and the GUI isn't showing me an

Hi All,I need a mechanism to detect motionless for 10s to make device enter power saving mode. For lis2dh12, I can use HPF with low x,y,z threshold and duration to detect an event that motionless for 10s.However I need more low power accelerometer lis2dw12 to do same thing but it seems lis2dw12 design can only detect wake up event, is there correct configuration to detect motionless for 10s event ?What I need is:active: Himotionless for > 10s: LoBR,Sam

Hi, Is there a limit of writings/erasings for the few times programmable memory of STWBC86?How many times should I expect? Best

GreetingsI have configured  the LIS2DW12, via SPI,  to sample and store samples, given the FIFO (configured in continuous mode) on a wakeup interrupt to INT1. The sensor, given its current configuration is able to wake up and sample but there is a worrying issue where, on the first wake-up (providing some movement to the sensor),  the FIFO always overflows. I am seeing this when my ISR fires and the data-read-function is called, and within the read function, I am checking for the overflow and then essentially returning an error. If I try waking it up again, it samples fine without overflow occurring.Any help would be appreciated to figure out why overflow occurs ONLY on the first wake-up.My current configuration is:Write(CTRL2 , 0X1E) //BDU ENABLED, I2C Disabled, IF_ADD_INC EN, Disable CS_PU Write(CTRL6 , 0X10) //enable HPF, ODR/2, FS = 2G Write(WAKE_UP_THS , 0X0C) //Threshold = 375mg Write(WAKE_UP_DUR , 0X00) //No-wakeup time Write(FIFO_CTRL , 0XC0) //continuous mo
