Hello, everyone.    I use STM32L496 on my board, and use PA9 as a GPIO for input, without any external resister.    Software program is based on HAL. I have a sample demo like this:    int main(void)    {        HAL_Init();        BSP_Init();        while(1)        {            delay_ms(1000);        }    }    While, in the BSP_Init(), like this:    void BSP_Init(void)    {        GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0};        __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE();        GPIO_InitStruct.Pin       = GPIO_PIN_9 | GPIO_PIN_10 | GPIO_PIN_11        GPIO_InitStruct.Mode   = GPIO_MODE_INPUT;        GPIO_InitStruct.Pull      = GPIO_N

Dear SIR,I am trying to STM32G0B1 USART3 DMA receiving data from PC and do processing on MCU.I add code in callback function HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback()these code are try to get the whole package ending with '\r' and set a flag to notice the FreeRTOS get the whole package and do process in FreeRTOS.After running some times, No more flag set in the callback. In my test, 1st send "test", 2nd send "this is a test of stm32", 2nd callback is not triggerred. Is there any wrong? Or what is the right procedure to get the whole package in DMA callback and set flag to FreeRTOS Application layer to do future process? Thanks.   #include "stm32g0xx_hal.h" #include "FreeRTOS.h" #include "task.h" #include "stm32g0xx_hal_uart_ex.h" #include "stm32g0xx_hal_dma.h" #define RX_BUFFER_SIZE 128 extern UART_HandleTypeDef huart3; extern DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_usart3_rx; uint8_t rx_buffer[RX_BUFFER_SIZE]; uint8_t cmd_terminated = 0; volatile uint8_t rx_size = 0; void HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallbac

We have designed 2 seperate boards, main board has STM32MP135FAE on board connected to Microchip LAN8742 via ethernet1 mac and it is working. second board is a network board and has Marvell 88E6185 switch on board. Ethernet2 mac on STM32MP135F is connected to Port9 at the Switch using MII. However, STM32MP135F is not enabling internal clock. And eth2 is not activated.I have tried setting ETH clock at 25MHz, no luck.I have attached my configuration files and clock settings and dmesg log.Any idea what might be wrong on my configurations?

I am new to the STM32CubeMonitor and use it for the first time for acquiring data from a STM32G0B1RETx MCU without using the IDE's Debug mode. The 'probe' is a ST-LINK/V2, connected to pins PA13 (SYS_SWDIO) and PA14 (SYS_SWCLK). The CubeMonitor reports 'p2p connected', see the MON screenshot below. However, the log file (STM32CubeMonitor.log) has many entries stating that an 'Error on connect' occurred. See the the log lines below the screenshot. The result is no data are acquired and no log file was generated.I have two questions, please:Question 1: how can a reliable connection to the ST-LINK/V2 and the target MCU be established? Is there a ST tutorial on youtube?Question 2: beside the Dashboard graphics, does the CubeMonitor offer a simple text window for displaying values, for example numbers in decimal or hex format?Thank you very much! From STM32CubeMonitor.log:[2024-01-28T17:01:31.150] [ERROR] stlinkprotocol - [stlinkprotocol.js - connectToTarget(1155:12)] - Error on connect devi

Hello, from what I read in the ST wiki I understand that the STM32CubeMonitor (MON) is a standalone application? A P2P connection to the 'probe' (e.g. the ST-LINK/V2) is used in this configuration. That means: it is not required that the STM32CubeIDE runs in Debug mode. Please confirm, thanks!I also understand that the MON can be used together with the IDE, using a TCP link (not P2P).I am asking because, although MON reports a P2P, it also logs error code 245:[2024-01-28T17:01:46.160] [ERROR] stlinkprotocol - [stlinkprotocol.js - connectToTarget(1063:16)] - enterSWD error = 245More in this post:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubemonitor-mcus/connect-stm32cubemonitor-to-st-link-v2-enterswd-error-245/td-p/633168Any comments? Thank you!

Hi I cant figure out which is the correct Diode. It was mounted in a Charging (12/24V DC input) device for ADALIT Firefighter Light .  Thanks for your Help

I see a higher drive in the WB55MMG #ifdef WB55__HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_LOW);#else WB5MMG__HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_MEDIUMHIGH);#endif // MIGO_BORAD would like to preserve as much power as possible, what are the consequences of using it _LOW?

Hi all,I am using ST tile box pro and logging IMU orientation data for my test. I did place that module in a robotic arm and then calibrate the accel sensor. I observed 20 degree drift in the  heading value  after the calibration .Before calibration almost 0. I did ensure the origin. Kindly explain what's happening after the calibration. Thank you.

I completed an alpha prototype design with the NUCLEO-G071RB, the STM32 Nucleo-64 development board with a STM32G071RB MCU plus a custom daughter board. Hardware and software using the HAL library work well, so I moved on to the next step, a beta design: a custom board with the STM32G0B1RET MCU for extra memory. The alpha source code was ported to the new MCU using the HAL library, and MX was used to adjust the pinout.Result: the beta device establishes UART communication with the external device, but reports unexpected HAL_TIMEOUT errors:err = HAL_UART_Receive(huart1, (uint8_t*) uart_RxBuffer, packLen, timeout); The variable 'timeout' is 20 ms, and the oscilloscope shows that a response received within 4 ms. It should work, so why teh timeout error. (I assume the measurement unit is milliseconds.)What can cause these timeout errors? Thank you!

Hello,I have a question regarding the bootloader of the STM32C0 (especially the TSSOP 20 version STM32C031F6Px).According to the datasheet and the reference manual, the bootloader can communicate via UART1 and I2C1.The pins it is using are PA9&PA10. These pins are mapped to PA11&PA12. But if I configure UART1 in CubeMX, UART1 is not and can't be assigned to these pins.Could somebody please explain:How to do the configuration of using UART1 as the communication interface for the bootloader in CubeMX?What happens and how to deal with the situation that I have assigned some other STM32 peripheral to PA11&PA12 and the triggering the bootloader? Is UART1 then remapped to these pins even it was on other pins before the bootloader? How is this remapping of the pins PA9/PA10 to PA11/PA12 done?BR,      Andreas

Hello,I trying to follow the steps provided in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_Sn6CBbz-kFollowed each step, compiled, and successfully uploaded the firmware.I am able to see the COM port COM34 in my device manager as shown in attached image. I am unable to see COMport in cube monitor UCPD software, I tried refresh option multiple times. However its visible in select tracer port. When I select tracer port, nothing is visible.Pin configuration is as per document : https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00663511-how-to-build-a-simple-usb-pd-sink-application-with-stm32cubemx-stmicroelectronics.pdf(image attached)

Hello,we have an electronic with two possible µC as footprint on the PCB.STM32L071CZSTM32L071KZInside the layout it was necessary to route two signals to different GPIOs, thereforewe have a difference in the configuration. We want to avoid a #define to distinguish between both firmware with different GPIO settingsfor these two signals. Is there any chance to distinguish between these both µC by any register that we can read?GreetingsStefanPS1:CPUID -> does not work, it doesn't contain information about the packagePS2:We tried to use #define IOUTENA_PIN_49Pin GPIO_PIN_2 // BGA#define IOUTENA_GPIO_PORT_49Pin GPIOC#define IOUTENA_PIN_32Pin GPIO_PIN_1 // QFP#define IOUTENA_GPIO_PORT_32Pin GPIOAif (IS_GPIO_PIN_AVAILABLE(IOUTENA_GPIO_PORT_49Pin,IOUTENA_PIN_49Pin))But this doesn't work also. We guess that both packages contain the same Die, therefore the GPIO is available on both µC, but NOT connected to a package pin for both packages.

Hello,I am using NUCLEO-F756ZG. My application is ADC related. I am measuring an analog signal at high sampling rate. Recently, I had a discussion with my team and had an interesting proposal. Our target signal is pretty much guranteed to be within 0.5V to 1V range. So, I thought of supplying external reference voltage for a custom range. On nucleo boards, the VDDA and VREF+ are tied to VDD by default and makes the ADC range 0V~3.3V. But from the MB1137 schematic I found here, it seems that I can decouple VREF+ from VDD by removing SB12. Problem is that VREF+ is tied to VDDA on the board and can't be decoupled. So, if I put 1V or less in AVDD pin, it's probably not going to be enough to power the ADC. Or is it? Additionally, VREF- seems to be connected to ground through SB162 and by removing it, seems like I can supply an external VREF-. Would it work if I supply custom voltages from an external DAC to both VREF+ and VREF-. The planned reference voltages are less than 1V for VREF+ and

Hi, I'm new with STM microcontrollers. I have several years programming Microchip PIC and develops with this other brand.I want to start a project with this Brand STM, then I bought a Nucleo F411. With this one I tried some examples an all worked fine. Then I bought an STEVAL-CTM011V1A and STEVAL-CTM012V1A to evaluete the Motor Control, I need to decide Driver, Controller, Power, etc. With this board I purchased the suggested STLINK-V3 programmer with the isolator accessory. Could someone help me explain how I program the STEVAL board with the STLINK? There isn't much explanation for that, I've been searching and can't find an answer. While I have experience programming other things, I can't figure this out.I would appreciate the help.Greetings.

On STM32G474, I have a loop where I read ADC values, process them, and write the result to DAC.I am using the dual ADC mode and reading ADC12_COMMON->CDR . I do not care if I read the previous conversion result, in this case, is there a reason to check and reset ADC_ISR_EOS ? Does the CDR always contain the last conversion result ?Similarly, when using the DAC, can I continuously (most probably faster than DAC update rate) write to DAC_DHR12R1 without checking any flag ? I do not care if I overwrite the previous value before it is transferred to DAC_DOR.

Hi AllJust bought a Nucleo-STM32G070 board and I am new to STM32 MCUs, I tried to power the board with a micro USB cable that I used to charge my mouse after I have installed the USB driver (stsw-link009), but the LEDs do not light on as shown in the introduction video. I did not remove or add any jumpers, did not make any change on the board.Anybody knows where the problem is? Chao

[EDIT - I had Rx Buffers length before which is still there. I mean Rx Buffers Address which has vanished)Trying to walk the right path to get Ethernet working on a dev board, but using CubeMX as the basis (have looked at LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS  and https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/STM32H7-LwIP-Examples/tree/main and now trying to recreate)A lot of other example posts have something like this (numbers may vary However in the latest STM32CubeIDE or MX  that Rx Buffers Address is now gone.  Both the examples above have something for that in code, and in the linker script. Anyone know why this changed recently? Or if any examples have been updated.I have the Nucleo-H743ZI2 board to be exact. Thanks

My P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2 gateway board (F746ZG) no longer transmits data to TTN and the serial port does not respond. I think I may have loaded a firmware by mistake, where can I find the original firmware? Thanks for the support.

Hello,I am designing a system that uses the ST25R3920. I am using the STSW-ST25RFAL002 software library to interface to the NFC reader. For performance & power saving reasons, I am attempting to complete NFC transactions as quickly as possible, and turn off the RF field between transactions. The typical use case of the system is that once a tag is detected, an initial transaction will take place. After that, the likely case is that the same tag will be present, and no other tags will be present. But there will be cases where that tag will disappear, and then the same tag or a different tag may appear at some time in the future.I am wondering what sort of optimizations I can make by assuming that the same tag will be there, and there should not be any collisions with other tags in the area. So far, I found that after performing discovery to find a tag, and then completing the first transaction with the tag, I can callrfalFieldOff()And then later resume transactions by callingrfa

Hello, I am having a confusion in understanding the Clock Frequencies for STM32L452RE. In the Datasheet its mentioned that "Several prescalers permit to configure the AHB frequency, the high speed APB (APB2) andthe low speed APB (APB1) domains" It also says "The maximum frequency of the AHB and the APBdomains is 80 MHz" which is correct. But if you see on the Block Diagram both APB1 and APB2 Share the same clock i.e 80MHz . How would we justify if APB1 is Low Speed and APB2 is High Speed.  It would be great to understand what its actually trying to say. Thanks in advance. Attaching the Images for Reference.

I am attempting to create an NFC antenna for the M24LR04E-R chip, following the circuit diagram of the x-nucleo-nfc02a1 board. My challenge is that the x-nucleo-nfc02a1 board uses a double-sided antenna, but I want to design a single-sided antenna that I intend to print using silver ink on a flexible PET sheet.I have already followed a YouTube video on STMicroelectronics' YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtq8fKiGMUU) and designed a 42x42 mm antenna with 11 turns, which results in a 5.01 uH inductance according to the eDesign suit (the calculations give a value of 5.009 uH). However, when I printed and tested it, it appeared not to be working correctly. It doesn't seem to operate at the desired frequency of 13.56 MHz. Can you point out what I might have missed or any mistakes I might have made?

Hello,    I am trying to test the compass of the IKS4A1 board with a Nucleo F446 board. I followed line by line the instructions provided in the "Getting started with the STMicroelectronics X-CUBE-MEMS1 software package for STM32CubeMX". My cube project locks like this:Even if I followed all the steps, it was not perfectly clear how to test the board. Moreover I have to further enable the DMA on Uart2 in order to avoid hard_fault. Then, after havin a running firmware I started Unicleo-GUI but there is any communication with the board. The Getting started say to set the Uart to 115200 but Sniffing the packets it looks like unicleo send packets to 38400. In any case also setting the Uart to 38400 there is no communication. The getting started guide says [4.55]: "After application starts, the user can view the data using a Unicleo-GUI application also developed by STMicroelectronics."  But  it does not seem to be as described. Is unicleo Gui the corr
