Hello,I'm getting the wildcard character '?' displayed for 3x Japanese characters, ノ今速.  All the other CJK characters in the texts are displayed fine, before and after these missing characters (so not a text field truncation).I've checked that all these characters exist in the CJK font for the typography.  I have defined the respective Unicode values 0x30CE, 0x4ECA, 0x901F in the wildcard ranges and pasted these characters into the wildcard characters for the typography.  I have deleted and regenerated the generated folder, but there is no difference in the output. There are also no warnings during code generation that a character is not in the font. The text translations specifying these characters are all defined as resources (not single use texts).  They are displayed using touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar TXTBuffer[TXT_SIZE];(void)Unicode::snprintf(TXTBuffer, TXT_SIZE, "%s", touchgfx::TypedText(T_RESOURCE_NAME.getText());I've found they are displayed correctly

Hello,I'm currently working with an STM32 microcontroller, and I'm facing a challenge related to the internal Real-Time Clock (RTC). Specifically, whenever I attempt to set the date and time using the internal RTC, my system crashes. I've reviewed the code and checked for potential issues, but I haven't been able to identify the root cause. Has anyone in the STM32 community encountered a similar problem when configuring the internal RTC? If so, could you share any insights, potential reasons for this behavior, or troubleshooting steps that might help me resolve this issue? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated as I work to address this problem in my project.     Here my Set date and time function,"/*** @fn ErrorStatus RTC_SetTimeAndDate(void)* @brief Function to use Set date and time into Internal RTC** @return SUCCESS / ERROR*/ErrorStatus RTC_SetTimeAndDate(void){    RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime;    RTC_DateTypeDef sDate;   if(HAL_RTCE

Hi I have a stm32L433, and setup Uart1 for standard TX and RX with interrupt for both send and receive (9600N81 setup). I don't use any hardware handshake . Within the IRQ routine occasionally the USART_ISR_EOBF bit in the ISR is set , and I am not using smartcard mode , and the EOBIE bit is not set in the CR2 register.. I have the below , and even after its cleared it then keeps getting set and cant get any data. void USART1_IRQHandler(void){unsigned char data;if(USART1->ISR & USART_ISR_FE)USART1->ICR |= USART_ICR_FECF; if(USART1->ISR & USART_ISR_EOBF)USART1->ICR |= USART_ICR_EOBCF; if(USART1->ISR & USART_ISR_RXNE) //RX interupt{data=USART1->RDR;...  Many thanksScott

I read and display the CPUID and REVID on my project.I see the difference between using an U575 chip vs. U5A5 chip (NUCLEO boards): U5A5: CPUID: 0x410FD214 REVID: 0x30016481 U575: CPUID: 0x410FD214 REVID: 0x20016482 OK, based on ARM Cortex-M33 documentation: the same CPUID makes sense (and it is the same on different boards): the 214 at the end means: CM33 (the 41 should be the vendor). But now I want to verify the REVID:I cannot find any information in the MCU reference manual, neither in the datasheetit looks like, the SCB->CPUID (and REVID) register content is not mentioned anymore in any document (as it was/is in "older" MCUs manuals)I want to check during runtime, on which MCU the code is running: "is it a U5A5 or a U575?"How to do? (or where to find how the REVID is coded and if it would tell me the target I am running on)I see the difference on different boards, via REVID. I want to verify with manuals, documentation if it is the expected one (telling me: "it is a U5

I am using HRTIM in my project such that the output TA1 of timer A generates a delayed pulse after the timer is triggered via the EEV1 input. I have two compare values defined in Advanced configuration mode: One to set the output high and the other to set it low con compare match. In my setup, the EEV1 is currently triggered every 100ms externally (I'm using a PWM output of another timer with a physical connection to the EEV1 input of my HRTIM timer). One of the requirements of my project is the ability to shut down the outputs of the HRTIM timer at any time and also the ability to restart it.As a test, put the following code in the main() function:   while (1) { HAL_HRTIM_SimpleOnePulseStart(&hhrtim, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_A, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TA1); HAL_Delay(300); HAL_HRTIM_SimpleOnePulseStop(&hhrtim, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_A, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TA1); HAL_Delay(300); }  The expectation was that this code would repeatedly start and stop pulse generation on the TA

Hi ST Community, I am trying to measure system voltage (Lead Acid Battery) using ADC input of STM32F030C8 (PB1). The system voltage can be between 9V and 13.5V () so I am using voltage divider (10k and 1k) to lower the voltage to the 0 - 3.3V range. I am using STM32 Cube IDE. I am making ADC measurements/checking voltage in every 100ms.The problem is I am getting huge fluctuations when reading the voltage. For example, I am getting values between ~11.8V and ~12.3V, when the system voltage is around 12.09V (checked with multimeter). I am not expecting to get exactly 12.09V, but 200 - 300mV offsets/errors are huge for me. I am calibrating the ADC channel before measurement but the error is same.Could you please help me to this issue? Thank you in advance    /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ***********************************************

Hi everybody,I'm trying to connect to the STM32H743IIT6 on my custom PCB via JTAG. It seems it responds, I traced it with a logic analyzer (attached). I'm not too knowledgeable with JTAG Protocol, but the 0x5253000 the H7 answers seems not to be the chip ID from the BSD file.Consequently, I cannot connect via STProgrammer or CubeIDE. I checked all VDD pins, they're all ok. BOOT0 pin is Ground, NRST is pulled high, VCAP pins are 1V. Pinning is correct.I tried it with STLINKV3SET and a SEGGER J-Link base with the same results. I also tried pulling NRST down before flashing with no result and I looked at the signals with an oscilloscope, they seem alright (attached). Does anyone have an idea? I am out of ideas of what to try. Thanks a lot in advance!

Hy guys, I want to be able to create a named file in an SD card based on how many files I have in the directory, per example: if I have only 1 file "file1", I'll create the next one as "file2". I searched the ff.h library, but didn't find anything that seemed usefull. Has anyone know any ideas I might implement to make it work? Also alternatively, is there a function that reads or compares the name of the file and then create another file with a different name?

Posted on March 30, 2017 at 18:49Hi, I'm using the cubeF4 to work on FATFS application and i'm searching for a function in FATFS library that can return the content of the SD Card: number of files and their names.  Thank you.

Hello, I am currently building an application for the STM32WL. Two processes need to run simultaneously, the first is offline, and just reads data from a sensor and stores it in SD memory. The second is sending a LoRaWAN up-link message every 10 minutes (battery health monitor data). I am basing my project on the LoRaWAN_End_Node_DualCore_CM0PLUS project. I can see that the subghz radio runs on the CM0Plus, but the LoRaWAN network middleware files are on the CM4.  In summary, I am wondering if it's possible to send an uplink message through the radio driver with the CM0 while reading data through I2C on the CM4. Is it possible to multitask like this? Sorry for the beginner question.

Hi all,AbstractWe are developing our product based on STM32H7. We would like to use the HTTP server and Netconn to update the firmware for our product. We consider this method easy to use for customers more than Serial or USB. We have tried looking for some references but for now, we are having a lot of problems.QuesionIf you could answer any of those questions that could help us greatly!1. Do you have an example, reference, or tutorial of working to update firmware via web server stm32h7?2. Do you have any idea how to start?Thank you for taking the time to read this and to answer me!Regards

I'm working with an STM32F217 and I have a few timer channels setup as sync clocks to regulators (around 1.5 MHz). I'm checking to make sure my sync lines are actually using HSE as a reference clock by looking at the phase drift between my external oscillator output and an STM32 timer output on an oscilloscope. With the amount of drift I'm seeing it doesn't seem like the timers are referencing HSE. I'm confused though because bits 3:2 of RCC_CFGR say I'm referencing my external oscillator as my system clock. Here are the related register values:RCC->PLLCFGR = 0x24403c18RCC->CR = 0x30b6983RCC->CFGR = 0x940a

Hi all,We have an application of an electric heating boiler using BTA16 triacs to commute resistive loads of 13A (rms). The max. temperature in the triacs is around 70ºC-80ºC.We are studying the option of using the BTA20 triac instead of the BTA16 one to improve the reliability of the solution. Both use the same case. I have checked the curves "On-state rms current versus case temperature" in the data sheet of both references and the behaviour in terms of max. current supported with 70ºC-80ºC case temperature seems equivalent because the BTA20 max current starts to decrease from 70ºC on while the BTA16 starts to decrease from 85ºC on. The scale of the graphs (in the attached) does not allow me to confirm which one would support more current. Could you please help me with this?In addition, I have seen the maximum power dissipation versus on-state RMS current graphs. It seems than the BTA20 max power dissipation is higher than the one in BTA16. Does this mean that under the same environm

Hello everyone,I'm trying to detect some RFID tags with the STSW-ST25RU-SDK wich is give here.I try to detect some tags with the Gen2_Inventory() function but when the ST25RU3993 detect a tag, an interrupt turn on and after my external MCU go directly in the InfiniteLoop. I always enter in this infinite loop when i detect a tag.Someone can help me to debug my interrupt please ? Thank you !Paul

Hello, I tried many times(with different browsers) to download the package to use it with the BLE-NRG2-Module(Evaluation-Board). The Page keeps looping between login and the main-page with no success.     Thank you Amir

I am trying to display UART data received to UI WITHOUT RTOS but I am unsure how to code the model, I am getting error every time. I read the documentation and tried to reproduce the same thing but in vain. I watched a lot of videos on youtube but they all used RTOS. My project consists of not using RTOS.I can confirm that my UART works and I can receive strings from a terminal. I used HAL UART function in the Main() while loop.while (1) { MX_TouchGFX_Process(); HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&huart3, RX_String, sizeof(RX_String)); }In my Screen1View.cpp file, I have inserted a function that should display the received UART string to a text box:void Screen1View::uart_Data(char* RX_String) { textArea2.setWideTextAction(touchgfx::WIDE_TEXT_WORDWRAP); Unicode::strncpy(textArea2Buffer, RX_String, TEXTAREA2_SIZE); textArea2.invalidate(); }In the Screen1Present.cpp:void Screen1Presenter::uart_Data(char* RX_String) { view.uart_Data(RX_String); }I declared virtual void uart_Data(char

I have a Nucleo board with a new MCU, base board is the Nucleo-G070RB. Now it is a ST link with a STM32G0BORE. I have a problem with the internal bootloader where i cannot upload a new program via USB DFU. There is no hardware problem because VCP works just fine. No data corruption of something. I started using the new "User Actions" feature, and it seems that there's an issue with the function that allows running a script after code generation. I managed to make the feature work without any problems when the "Window -> Outputs" option is checked. However, when it's unchecked, CubeMx completely freezes. In such cases, you have to terminate its process through the task manager, which is not desirable. For information, I use ".bat" file. CubeMx version 6.9.2

Hi, I am seeking product recommendations from you for developing our project using an NXP board. We require a simple and cost-efficient board suitable for a medical patient monitor. Key considerations include interfacing with a 12-lead ECG module (SPI port), a temperature sensor, NIBP, SpO2, and a TFT display interface port. Additionally, the system should be capable of printing the ECG wave on a thermal printer. The LCD panel should be easy to interface with. We prefer a board with an M4 processor or one capable of utilizing memory for storage. The price range we are considering is between $0-100. I am attaching a rough block diagram to give you a better idea of our requirements Updating Mediaalso,i got few suggestion in nxp product,so plz compare to them, and give equivalent or better than it.i give linksThis is LPC5462x link:https://www.nxp.com/products/processors-and-microcontrollers/arm-microcontrollers/general-purpose-mcus/lpc54000-arm-cortex-m4-/power-efficient-microcontrol

I'm looking for a reference schematic where I can use the STWLC38 for Qi charging, but the Qi charging will be disabled when a USB-C is plugged in. I also need the USB-C Vbus to be isolated from the connector while the Qi charging is active. I'd really like to have the configuration be controlled automatically by the STWLC38, if possible... Much like this from a competitive device. Is that possible?

Hello,I have not been able to debug any of my TrustZone projects. In order to see what was happening I decided to debug and run ST examples, also with TrustZone implemented, from "STM32Cube_FW_L5_V1.5.0" with the following results:- FreeRTOS_Secure_IOToggle_TrustZone:Debug and run correctly only if optimization level is not "None -O0".- UART_Trace_TrustZone_Secure:Failed to run and debug regardless of the optimization level (Error: "Break at address "0x430027240" with no debug information or outside of program code"). However, when I commented the function "printf" and "Secure_TraceMessage" I was able to debug and run correctly.- GTZC_TZSC_MPCBB_TrustZoneFailed to run and debug regardless of the optimization level (Error: "No source available for <signal handler called>() at 0xfffffffe”). When I commented the illegal access to trigger the secure fault the application ran and debugged perfectly. These are my Option Bytes: Could it be something related with entering the se
