can you please explain me step by step process of uart communication in stm32h735g-dk

Hi All, I am trying to generate variable frequency using TIM1 on STM32G070. I use TIM1 in output compare mode and PC8 as an output for channel 1. Pre-scaler is set to 0 and ARR to divider for whatever frequency I want. When checking registers I see CNT changing between 0 and ARR, as expected but nothing happens at the output. I tried to change PC8 directly to rule out electrical problem - it works fine.I need just to toggle the PC8, nothing else, but nothing happens... I went through many examples, but very few are relevant for stm32g0 using only CMSIS. Running out of ideas what could be wrong and looking at it for too long, so there is likely something I cannot see.If anyone has an idea where to look, that would be greatThanks // Enable clock for GPIOCRCC->IOPENR |= RCC_IOPENR_GPIOCEN;// Enable clock for TIM1RCC->APBENR2 |= RCC_APBENR2_TIM1EN; // Disable TIM1TIM1->CR1 &= ~TIM_CR1_CEN;// Configure TIM1 for Output Compare, toggle pinTIM1->SMCR &=

Hi,I was trying to disable Tzen in my nucleo-l55ze-q (stm32l55), but before disabling i forgot to flash toggle gpio programmer into board, and tried to set RDP to 55 and i clicked apply,From that moment it is not able to detect the STlink!..please give me any suggestions .Thanks and regardsTeju S H

Hi,I'm using stm32f103vet6 in my design, but due to the limit power budget, the MCU consumes much power(60mA per MCU , while I used 2 chips in my design), result in frequently triggering over current protection. Is there pin to pin compatible STM32L series part which could be utilized to replace the original one, so that I don't have to make hardware change? Thanks.

Hi,i'm always looking for the most efficient implementation of code in my STM controllers and was wondering which is the most efficient way to implement ADC reading from an external ADC chip trough SPI in an STM32G4 controller. The ADC (MCP3461/2/4) have a continious mode and set an interrupt line after each conversion. The 16 bit adc value is present in a buffer register to read trough SPI.I see these 3 choises:Using HAL_SPI_Receive_DMA, but as the ADC send 16 bits at a time i'm not sure this is the best solution. Each ADC conversion interrupt i need to start the DMA which fire a Transfer-Complete interrupt to read the actual value.Using HAL_SPI_Receive_IT, Each ADC conversion interrupt i need to start the interrupt driven SPI read which fire a Transfer-Complete interrupt to read the actual value. Just by reading the 16 bits each ADC conversion interrupt with the blocking HAL_SPI_Receive function as this goes super fast.i'm wondering is the overhead in the first 2 option makes it worth

Hello everyone, I'm a bit confused about using USB.I need to use the USB port both to create a CDC connection with a PC and to read/write data from USB flash drives.Initially, I wanted to create a project that could handle both HOST and DEVICE modes, but I see that I would have to generate two separate projects and then manually copy some libraries.I also tried the USB Dual Role configuration, but I don't understand its purpose as it doesn't generate anything related to USB.Then, I saw that I can create a configuration like USB HOST  with mode HOST SUPPORTING ALL CLASSES so I’m asking if with this mode I can do both things, and if you could point me to any examples of how to do this.I thank you in advance.

I would like to implement a BLE peripheral without using UTIL_SEQ.The sample project BLE_Peripheral_Lite seems to realize BLE functionality without using UTIL_SEQ, but when I add BLE functionality in STM32CubeMX, it is automatically set to use UTIL_SEQ. without using UTIL_SEQ. Is there any way to output source code by CubeMX without using UTIL_SEQ?Also, if UTIL_SEQ is not used, is it possible to use Timer Sever or Low power manager? Please tell us the other limitations of not using UTIL_SEQ.

I am using a Nucleo F401RE board to drive a PCM5102a PCM Audio Codec via I2S.My goal is to send data from a double buffer via DMA.Since I am only using the Audio Codec as an output, I configured my I2S as Half-Duplex Master in CubeMX.Now to my problem:In the generated I2S HAL driver stm32f4xx_hal_i2s_ex.c, there is no DMA Callback registered for Transmit Cplt or HalfCplt:I am calling HAL_I2SEx_TransmitReceive_DMA in main.c, to start the DMA cycle. everything works fine, except Callback invocation. Here is the corresponding snippet in the generated HAL_I2SEx_TransmitReceive_DMA, that prevents Tx Callbacks./* Set the I2S Rx DMA Half transfer complete callback */ hi2s->hdmarx->XferHalfCpltCallback = I2SEx_TxRxDMAHalfCplt; /* Set the I2S Rx DMA transfer complete callback */ hi2s->hdmarx->XferCpltCallback = I2SEx_TxRxDMACplt; /* Set the I2S Rx DMA error callback */ hi2s->hdmarx->XferErrorCallback = I2SEx_TxRxDMAError; /* Set the I2S Tx DMA Half transfer complete callbac

Where is the stm32G474QET6TR pinout figure?I cannot find it in the datasheet.I need to know which pins on the board are PC3, PA11 or PB2.like this picture

Hi everyone,I have a problem, let's see if someone can help me...I have a board that works with an STM32L053xxxx, my application, at a certain point, enters stop mode. Here comes the problem, the emulator disconnects. Is there any technique or emulator that allows me to continue the emulation even in stop mode?

Hi, I copied example “en.stm32cubef4-v1-28-0\STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.28.0\Projects\STM324x9I_EVAL\Examples\FMC\FMC_SRAM” in a separate local folder.Copied files in included paths as shown below: 1 error remaining “Description    Resource             Path       Location              Typemake: *** No rule to make target 'C:/Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32f4xx_hal.c', needed by 'Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/stm32f4xx_hal.o'.  Stop.       FMC_SRAM                                      C/C++ Problem”Please let me know what changes required.

Hello all, I have made a GUI with some circles that show as a LED. When the LED must be turned on the color of the circle shall be green and LED is OFF then the color must be changed to gray. So when I change the screen to another and back again, the color changes to a default value. As I understand I need to save the status to the Presenter and then to the model afterward I should get the status from the model and then the presenter. So now I want to know how to save the circle's color when leaving the screen. here is the screen shot for screenview:

I'm using TouchGfx 4.21.3 for designing LCD screens for my project with ST Microcontroller. I have a requirement to have 4000 of value to use for scroll list and each element in scroll list is container. Can I make scroll list with 4000 items in it (scrollList1.setNumberOfItems(4000);)? How much is the maximum value that scroll list can expand?

Hello All, I'm currently working with the STM32 H747-DISCO board, but I'm encountering some difficulties in interfacing both the B-CAMS-OMV Camera Module and the LCD. After flashing the camera module, it successfully captures images, and I've also flashed the LCD, which displays the Embedded Wizard GUI. However, only one of them seems to be working at a time. Could you please advise if there are any steps I might be missing? Additionally, I'm seeking guidance on how to interface both the camera and LCD simultaneously. If there are any resources available, I'd appreciate it if you could share them with me.

I'm working with the STM32F407G-DISC1 development board and I would like to generate a square wave on PB14 (TIM8_CH2N). I'm able to successfully toggle PB14 using "bit-banging" and I'm able to successfully generate square waves PC6 (TIM8_CH1) and PC8 (TIM8_CH3). However, no matter what I do, I can't make TIM8 output anything on PB14 (TIM8_CH2N). Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong (please see attached screenshot)? Please note that I can't use any other timer/pin instead.

I have successfully built the DRP1M1_DRP Dual-Role USB-C project targeting the NUCLEO-G474RE (supplied with X-CUBE-TCPP v4.4.0). The first time I tried RUN, I had to update the ST-LINK software on the NUCLEO board (it's brand new), but having done that when I try again I get the attached error saying:Error finishing flash operation Please see attached, any ideas please?

I am not very experienced with CPP or TouchGFX. I have created a Custom Container with a TextArea, a ToggleButton, and a couple of ScrollWheels. I have created a list layout, and used .add() to add two new instances of the Custom Container to my list at run time. The purpose is to create a list of alarms with a title, and some settable parameters for the User to set and save. I have figured out how to load the saved values into the ToggleButton and ScrollWheels from the values saved in the Model in setupScreen.  listLayoutAlarmList.setWidthHeight(0,0); //Compensates for the list height that is set to 200 by the designer listLayoutAlarmList.setDirection(touchgfx::SOUTH); for(int i=0;i<2;i++) { CustomContainerAlarm *ac = new CustomContainerAlarm(); ac->setListElements(i, (int)!presenter->getAlarmEnable(i), presenter->getAlarmPriority(i), presenter->getLimitF(i), presenter->getAlarmRelay(i)); listLayoutAlarmList.add(*ac); } listLayoutAlarmList.invalidat

Hello. Every one.I've been designing using STM32MP151 series. Now, i just have changed the package from STM32MP151CAB3(0.8pitch) to STM32MP151CAD3(0.5pitch).And then, the current is consumed more than 0.4W.of course, the power pin count is fewer than 151CAB3.So, I added more capacitors with big capacitance.Do you have any experiences as for this?please, reply me.Thank you.Regards.

Hello,I have been running Ubuntu on the STM32MP157F-DK2, guided by the following resources:https://prog.world/stm32mp1-running-ubuntu-22-04gpu-and-wayland-graphics-server/https://github.com/cvetaevvitaliy/stm32mp1-ubuntu Previously, I successfully used the following configurations:U-Boot: v2020.10-stm32mp-r2.2TF-A: v2.8-stm32mp-r1.1Linux Kernel: v2020.10-stm32mp-r2.2Ubuntu RootFS: ubuntu-22.04-base-stm32mp1-armhf-16-05-2022.tar.gzHowever, I am encountering issues with the latest setup:U-Boot: v2022.10-stm32mp-r1TF-A: v2.8-stm32mp-r1.1Linux Kernel: v6.1-stm32mp-r1Ubuntu RootFS: ubuntu-22.04-base-stm32mp1-armhf-16-05-2022.tar.gzThe main change I made was replacing stm32mp15_trusted_defconfig with stm32mp15_defconfig when building U-Boot.Could anyone provide any insights or suggestions to troubleshoot this issue?Thank you!

I am using the USB port on a STM32U595 in device mode only. I am not using a type-C interface with a CC controller. I see that the NUCLEO144_Q with STM32U575 divides the USB VBUS input and connects it to PC2 for use as VBUS_SENSE.[Q1] Do I need to connect PA9/PA10 (USB_OTG_HS_VBUS and USB_OTG_HS_ID) on the U595?[Q2] If so, what is the recommended approach? For example, tie USB_OTG_HS_VBUS directly to the 5V VBUS input and tie USB_OTG_HS_ID to VDD to indicate device role?[Q3] How is PC2 used for VBUS_SENSE on the U575 NUCLEO board - just as an interrupt or general-purpose input?[Q4] Should I connect VBUS to PC2 like the NUCLEO board instead of using USB_OTG_HS_VBUS?Thank you  -Jason

Hello,I just wanted to inform you that there is a bug in the ST driver for the LSM6DSV16X v3.0.0, available on Github.Function lsm6dsv16x_fifo_batch_counter_threshold_set is wrongly setting the 2 register values, and for COUNTER_BDR_REG1 it is not ensuring that other bit fields are not changed.I stumbled upon this after some time trying to get the BDR counter threshold interrupt to work in a prototype, and thought to share it here.I changed that function implementation to the code below (basically a copy from the LSM6DSOX driver), and it works fine now:int32_t lsm6dsv16x_fifo_batch_counter_threshold_set(const stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint16_t val) { lsm6dsv16x_counter_bdr_reg1_t counter_bdr_reg1; lsm6dsv16x_counter_bdr_reg2_t counter_bdr_reg2; int32_t ret; ret = lsm6dsv16x_read_reg(ctx, LSM6DSV16X_COUNTER_BDR_REG1, (uint8_t *)&counter_bdr_reg1, 1); if (ret == 0) { counter_bdr_reg2.cnt_bdr_th = 0x00FFU & (uint8_t)val; counter_bdr_reg1.cnt_bdr_th = (uint8_t)(

Hello,We received an EOL status notification for our current sensor VL6180 and I found the VL53L4CD as a substitute for this TOF proximity sensor. We would like to know how long this device will be active, as the VL6180 is now on EOL.Can you also connect us to one of your Field app engineers to discuss further the differences in application between the VL6180V1NR/1 and VL53L4CD? Thank You. Regards,Jerald

I know that this IC: ST10F252-ABG is old, but is there any cross or direct replacement for it?Thanks,Byron
