Hi, I collecting values from ADC using DMA in my STM32H750BVT. And it have too big repetetive spread in every pin which I checked. Attaching ADC measurments array, attaching graph (y axis is bits and x axis is nr of conversion): 0 bit results it's issue of copying data to excell, don't pay attention on that. That's my understanding of problem: Internal capasitor of ADC is charging and after that ADC starts conversions which slowly discharging it, after some deadtime that capasitor is recharging. My question is how can I setup ADC to let it recharge capacitor afrer every conversion in DMA mode?Didn't I wrongly defined root cause, did I?

i am working with stm32 h750vb and i successfully wrote a winbond W25Q128JVSIQ external loader and it works fine on the cube programmer but when i use the cube ide i found that it successfully erase the external flash before file download and fails to write sector 0 so i found the problem was that i am using the time base source on the external loader was TIM2 and after changing it to systick the cube ide succussed to start writing to the external flash but now i get data mismatch at 0x90008900 on both cube programmer and on the cube ide with the edited external loader unlike the one before and all  the data after this address is corrupted  . i tried many things but didn't manage to make it upload the data successfully, any help will be appreciated.

Hello,I am using STM32U599VIT6Q for my project and I am unable to flash the MCU. When I turn on the board it consumes 50mA. Also, I am not using SMPS so I have connected the pins (VDDSMPS, VDDLXSPS, VDD11, and VSSSMPS) to the GND. Whenever I try to run the code it says cannot connect to the device.  The boot0 pin is pulled low and I have NRST pulled high on board and I connected it to the oscilloscope and found that the pin goes low when Jlink tries to flash.  Supply to the MCU is stable with 3.3V.  Schematics is attached below for reference Are SMPS pins a problem? Are they must use for this MCU? Could you please help me with what could be a problem?

Hello!I have an STM32F405RGT6 MCU with a custom PCB. I have some trouble with my GPIO pins as they only seem to be high.  I am using the STM32CubeIDE software and have configured all GPIOs. I having trouble with PA12 and PA15 in particular. See GPIO Mode and Configuration:I use pin PA12 (MD1_AIN1) and PA15 (MD1_AIN2) for the choose the direction for a DC motor. In the "gpio.c" file I have the following code:As seen both PA12 and PA15 should be RESET = LOW. Here is the configuration further down in the code:  I have tried writing: HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, MD1_AIN1_Pin|MD1_AIN2_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); also in the main.c file but did not seem to work. I measure with my multimeter between ground and MD1_AIN1 3.3VDC and also between ground and MD1_AIN2. See drawing for motor driver: Drawing for MCU (under Digital Out): Does anybody know why there I have constant 3.3VDC over PA12 and PA15? Thank you.

Good morningI am about to receive a Nucleo F446RE board.I'd like to add a 5V power supply, not using only the USB power supply. Can I give the supply from an AC/DC converter (220V AC to 5V DC)?Can I connect it directly to the board?Do I need to connect it in series with a resistor? Which value for the resistor?Do I need to connect it in parallel with a capacitor, to protect it?Thanks to anyone who can help.

@RomainR. @mƎALLEm  UPDATE 04/30/24:I no longer believe this is a debugger only problem. CM7 is always successful in flashing and debugging or running. The ST Link GDB Server cannot flash the CM4 in either debug or Release mode. Please see attached file CM7_CM4_Release_Mode_Output.txt.=====================================================================================UPDATE 04/29/24:After spending 3 hours writing up all of these details below, I came back at the problem the next day with a fresh approach. I decided to see if I could get just CM7 running in both projects. Here is what I found.CM7 is indeed being flashed properly from both projects. It is hanging in the debugger for both projects because the CM4 will not start (see CM4 DEBUGGER FAILS TO RUN below). It gets stuck in an infinite loop which makes perfect sense because CM4 is not running.    /* USER CODE BEGIN Boot_Mode_Sequence_1 */ while(__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_D2CKRD

I urgently need to free up space on Windows and this folder weighs about 20gb.Obviously I plan to save all these files in a flash drive before deleting it, to avoid any kind of problem,But I ask you what is this folder, what files it contains and if I can delete all or some of them .. maybe keeping the most recent versions ?

Hello, ST expert CubeMX generated software framework is used for our STM32U595VJT6 based hardware design. It works well but for the low start up time. It takes almost 1 second between 3.3V is stable and the flag GPIO turns high in MX_GPIO_Init. Is there any suggstions on this problem? BRYang

I am fresher here for the ST cube IDE i am trying to debug my code but it showing this error msg

I am generating PWM signals for 4 channels using TIM1, with 2 complimentary outputs. Hi, I want to make a costume PCB board with the STM32WBA52CG on it, where can I find the reference schematic to make it work?  Thanks in advance!  Kind regards,  Mats

Hi everyone,I'm a beginner in electronics design but I'd like to create my own PCB.I've designed a schematic around the STM32F0 microcontroller and would greatly appreciate any feedback you might have. The setup involves a board with one transmitter and five receivers, along with diodes to create a mini-game, nothing fancy here as the point is mainly to tinker with STM32 MCU.Few comments :I've included ESD diodes as the receivers/emitter will likely come into contact with the external environment.I'll handle user button debouncing in software. The whole system is powered by a VCC=3V3.I'm attaching a photo of my electronic schematic so please let me know if there are any errors, missing components, or possible improvements. I'm looking forward for your feedbacks, thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hello I just started with programming Nucleos and I tried to establish a UART communication with my laptop. So the problem is I can only select USART1 when i open my connectivity tab in IOC file. And to use USART1 i have to unsolder those 2 resistors on SB27 and SB32 and solder them to SB31 to SB32, am i correct? That would we my last option. I am just wondering why i cannot use or even select USART2 in the first place. I am using NUCLEO-C031C6. Has anybody faced that kind of problem? Any tips or solutions are welcome.

I have a board with STMU5A5, as LQFP64, and I am thinking to substitute (just) the MCU with a STM32H5xx one (also as LQFP64 package, because it is faster (250MHz instead of 160MHz)).After checking the pinout and datasheet - I came to one conclusion and one question (just to confirm). Conclusion:I have STM32U5 as LQFP64 with SMPS option (hard to order the LDO version). The STM32H5 has also a LQFP64 package:BUT: just as LDO version, not as SMPS!SMPS is just available from LQFP100 upwards. "rrrrr" (so, I cannot change, without to modify PCB)Question (please confirm):My STM32U5 LQFP64 has an USBVDD pin. But the STM32H5 LQFP64 does not (just all as VDD).Does it mean?:"USB (via the internal FS PHY) is not possible on a STM32H5 LQFP64?" (because no power to USB PHY)Or is there an internal bonding from VDD to VDDUSB so that USB would work? But it remains another conclusion if so: VDDUSB needs at least 3.0V. So, I cannot run STM32H5 with 1V8.Is my assumption correct?:a) no USB on STM32H5 LQFP64?b

HI,I set TIM5 up to trigger every 1us (APB1 42MHz) with the below function and I expect HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback() to be invoked every 1us but that's not the case. How do I make sure that the callback gets invoked properly?My init function:static void manual_TIM5_Init(void){ __HAL_RCC_TIM5_CLK_ENABLE(); // start the Timer5 clockTIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0};TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; htim5.Instance = TIM5; htim5.Init.Prescaler = 1; htim5.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim5.Init.Period = 20; htim5.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim5.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE;if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim5) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}sClockSourceConfig.ClockSource = TIM_CLOCKSOURCE_INTERNAL;if (HAL_TIM_ConfigClockSource(&htim5, &sClockSourceConfig) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}sMasterConfig.MasterOutputTrigger = TIM_TRGO_RESET;sMasterConfig.MasterSlaveMode = TIM_MASTERSLAVEMODE_DISABLE;if (HAL_TI

Hi everybody,I was looking at the documentation for the MCSDK6 (great work btw), in particular to the Motor Control Protocol Suite section.Everything is well documented, however, I was wondering if is there any DLL available in order to facilitate the communication between a PC application and the microcontroller.Thank you,Andrea.

Posted on August 02, 2017 at 10:52 Hello there. I am currently developing a coin cell powered device with the STM32L051C8. The datasheet says in standby mode the consumption is about 0.27uA (270nA). My current board only consists of a Voltage Regulator which is rated to max. 300nA self consumption. So the optimum consumption for my device should be around 570-600nA. My current board has consumption of around 800-900nA. So my question: is there a option to optimize the current consumption on software side beside the standard standby entering procedure. // Enter STBY Mode function. void HW_EnterLowPower() { hal_deinit(); __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WU); HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1); HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode(); } Thanks in advance, kind regard, Rob. #standby #stm32l0 #low-power

I am currently testing the VL53L7CX sensor(w/ vl53l5cx_api) with the STM32F7 MCU. The default resolution of 4x4, when running, would consistently return distances around 2.5 -3.0 meters with a target status code of 5 for multiple runs. I then tested 8x8 resolution and it began to return distances no higher than 1 meter with numerous error codes within the 64 zones target status (0,13,255 if I recall). Though, when I would hold my hand over the device it would return the ranges under a meter(this makes sense) with a target status 5 for all zones even when repeated. Please note that the room conditions of the 4x4 measurements and the 8x8 measurements were the same.  Is there any reason for the readings to be present incorrectly when 8x8 resolution is used but 4x4 seems to work as expected?

All:The STM32H723 has a temperature sensor as part of PWR.Some questions:1. The HAL instruction to enable is HAL_PWREx_Enable_Monitoring( ) - can temperature be enabled independently of VBAT?2. Can TEMPL and TEMPH be changed, or are these permanently set? (I assume TEMPL corresponds to -40 C and TEMPH corresponds to +125 C)3. Is there a way to determine that monitoring is indeed enabled? (I tried halting emulation and viewing PWR->CR2.MONEN and contents were 0.)4. If low or high temperature is detected, what should the response be? I see zero as a normal response to HAL_PWREx_GetTemperatureLevel( ).Regards,Todd Anderson

Hello, I try to do my own keyboard. My idea: when click on shift button (red a, btnShift) i want replace big letters with small. All buttons are FlexButtonCan I use the Action Execute C++ code ?like this:btnA.setText(TypedText('a'));but not woking now :(

Hello Folks, I use the H723ZG Nucleo board without FreeRTOS. I had configured Ethernet for the H723ZG in the past. But I am unable to configure it again now, even when following the same steps. When I first got it working, my configuration was based on this Youtube video STM32 ETHERNET #1. Hardware Configuration || PART 1. In addition, I spent countless days trying to configure the Ethernet without FreeRTOS based on this post How to create project for STM32H7 with Ethernet and LwIP stack working from @Adam BERLINGER . I was able to get it working WITH FreeRTOS, but not WITHOUT it. And I am here to kindly ask for your help. Here are some screenshots from my `.ioc` file.    I am testing it with the ping example.     /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ extern struct netif gnetif; /* USER CODE END 0 */ [...] /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /** PING Example */ ethernetif_input(&g

Hi all, I have been playing around with a SensorTile.Box PRO and have had success in uploading the premade "apps" provided in the app itself. However, when I create a custom app in Expert mode and try to upload it to the unit, the app crashes and the upload fails. What is causing this to happen and what can be done to stop this? Thank you!

I am trying to send data with an STM32F105RB microcontroller. I have configured it using STM32CubeMX with USB_Device as CDC (Virtual COM Port) and USB_OTG_FS in Device_Only mode. I have not activated SOF or VBUS. Here is the code I am using: while (1) {HAL_Delay(150);sprintf(buf_tx,"hello luxae 2\r\n");CDC_Transmit_FS((uint8_t*)buf_tx, strlen(buf_tx));HAL_Delay(150);}This code works correctly on a USB where the VBUS pin is connected to 5V, but it does not work on another USB where the VBUS is not connected. The configuration is the same in both cases.Any idea what could be going on? How can I make the USB work without being connected to the 5 volts of the board or the microcontroller VBUS?Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
