Hi,in this touchGFX documentation page ( MIPI-DSI Video Mode | TouchGFX Documentation ) under the "DSIHOST / LTDC Initialization sequence" section it says:"The call to MX_DSIHOST_DSI_Init() must be done before MX_LTDC_Init(). This should be handled by STM32CubeMX. If this is not correct, take care to fix the order in a user code section." But this is the CubeMX generated code where it calls MX_LTDC_Init() before MX_DSIHOST_DSI_Init():   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_LTDC_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_OCTOSPI1_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_TIM1_Init(); MX_TIM8_Init(); MX_UART5_Init(); MX_ICACHE_Init(); MX_DSIHOST_DSI_Init(); MX_CRC_Init(); MX_I2C4_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* USER CODE END 2 */  It looks like MX is generating it incorrectly... And swapping those lines every single time you change something in MX would be an insanely annoying thing to have to do (not to mention all sorts of other poten

Dear All,Recently I am learning STM32H503CBU6, but I find the external interrupt doesn't work with HAL library. I want to get reference from official example code, I only find external interrupt example code with LL library in official SDK. I think STM32H5x HAL should support external interrupt. My code and CUBEMX setting showed as below. Could you kindly help advise about this problem?Thanks for your help so much!Best regards,Gerald

Hi! I'm using an STM32F401RET6 and was planning on using both USART1 in Asynchronous mode and USB_OTG_FS peripherals.In STM32CubeIDE when they are configured at the same time there is an error. I've tried PA9/10 and PB6/7 for TX/RX for USART1 but the same warning/error shows. I wonder if there is some pin configuration interference that it isn't showing or if maybe some interference with the boot modes (Section 3.12 of DS9716).Can I use USART1 and and USB_OTG_FS at the same time?

Hi, Not sure if this is an issue or if I'm missing something.Shouldn't the processors reset-pin be pinned by default even though it allows for alternative functions?Maybe this is a non issue, but I feel like the reset pin is somewhat critical.

I'm looking for a comparison between STM32F2/F4 and STM32H5 to facilitate the migration: timers, important information.Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone,I am currently working with an STM32G071. It receives data over the SPI in slave mode. The data is packet based, each currently has 4 bytes, but that will differ in the future. A single chip select sequence may contain multiple packets, but a single packet is never split over multiple CS.The SPI is configured to work with the DMA to transfer the 4 bytes of a packet and I get an interrupt from the DMA once finished. Everything works as expected.However, I would like to make sure that the receiver is robust, even in case of wrong data on the bus, especially not the correct number of bytes. Currently, the DMA will transfer 4 bytes into the RAM, while ignoring the CS. In case there is one byte missing, the DMA will receive the 3 remaining bytes. Although the CS is then deasserted, it will wait for the next transmission to get the last byte. From this point on the data will be shifted by one byte. That is not acceptable for me. I want the DMA to re-sync at some point.As far as I

Hi,I have built a handful  of STM32 designs before and never had a chip fail to connect. I can't seem to get any connection in Cube Programmer at all:VDD,VREF+,VBAT is at 3.3V, VSS is connected to ground.NRST is high at bootI can see current drop from 17mA to 7mA (at 12V) when pulling NRST low , so it seems like MCU is doing something.I originally connected with a JLINK but just bought a STLINKV3 SET with the same result.Using SWD over a tag connecttried every connect option in cube programmer (mode/reset mode)I see SWCLK,SWDIO, and NRST working on an oscilloscope, although I haven't bothered decoding the signals.I confirmed chip orientationI confirmed SWCLK,SWDIO, and NRST pinsI confirmed my STLINK was updatedChecked for shorts under microscopeSchematic:Layout: I am pretty much out of ideas at this point, hoping its something *** I missed and need a second set of eyes :) Any new ideas would be appreciated!

Originally a reply to this thread:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/how-generate-hex-file-without-link-files-hal-drivers/td-p/723141Split as it seems to be a different issue.Hi,I have same issue tooI am using STM32F051R8 with STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.18.0There is limited Flash memory. So when I am checking the memory I found some library names etc definition strings on my hex file. I tried to change some setting according to topics above but no success at allPlease let me know which settings is this. Also I am using optimization "Optimize for size -s"RegardsMurat

Hello,I am creating a Bluetooth app on a custom board. I used the same hardware design as the X-NULCEO-IDB05A2 expansion board, but with the sole difference being that the Bluetooth module I'm using is the BLUENRG-M0L instead of the BLUENRG-M0A (which, to my understanding, is just an internal power supply difference and that is it). I used the SensorBLEDemo project as the base for my code, then brought it up on a separate project to ensure it worked as intended (and it does). However, when I ran the same code on my custom board, the BlueNRG initialization code acts strangely. When the function hci_init() is called, it never leaves the function and, seemingly, gets stuck there. I call for the BlueNRG initialization in my main.c. I've attached my initialization code below. I get stuck on Line 29. I'm unsure where to look to diagnose this, since this is a HCI premade code. Can anyone help me diagnose this?void MX_BlueNRG_MS_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SV */   /* USER CODE END S

I am using an STM32G473 with FreeRTOS and am having issues with some interrupts sometimes causing an NMI, making the processor hang in the NMI_Handler (until the watchdog resets it if enabled).The issue occurs sometimes, and I can always eventually trigger it when doing CAN Block Transfers, leading to many CAN Rx interrupts in quick succession.From what I can see in the Call Stack, every single time I detect the issue, the interrupt seems to arrive/trigger when I am inside of a task switch. Example of the call stack:So, here we have a task that has called vTaskDelay. The code pointed to in the delay function is portYIELD_WITHIN_API. My understanding is that this will cause a jump to xPortPendSVHandler. My port of xPortPendSVHandler looks like this: void xPortPendSVHandler( void ) { /* This is a naked function. */ __asm volatile ( " mrs r0, psp \n" " isb \n" " \n" " ldr r3, pxCurrentTCBConst \n"/* Get the location of the current TCB.

I have this board with STM32L4R9 and I used CubeMX and Unico-GUI tools to generate a decision tree for MLC in .ucf format. I used a python script to convert this to C uint8_t array as follows:   const uint8_t lsm6dsox_ucf[] = { 0x10, 0x00, 0x11, 0x00, 0x01, 0x80, 0x05, 0x00, 0x17, 0x40, 0x02, 0x11, ... };In the generated main function I use my function to upload this array to MLC: void lsm6dsox_load_ucf_via_spi() { size_t ucf_size = sizeof(lsm6dsox_ucf) / sizeof(lsm6dsox_ucf[0]); for (size_t i = 0; i < ucf_size; i += 2) { uint8_t reg = lsm6dsox_ucf[i]; // Register address uint8_t value = lsm6dsox_ucf[i + 1]; // Register value lsm6dsox_spi_write(reg, value); HAL_Delay(10); } HAL_Delay(10); }   void lsm6dsox_spi_write(uint8_t reg, uint8_t value) { // The first byte is the register address (with MSB cleared for write). uint8_t tx_data[2] = {reg & 0x7F, value}; // Pull CS low to select the sensor HAL_GPIO_WritePin(CS_LSM6DSOX_GPIO_Port, CS_LSM6DSOX_Pin, GPIO_PIN_R

Seems like STLINK V3SET does not support CANFD, but STLINK-V3-BRIDGE API has CANFD functions in it. So which device supports CANFD? Is there newer version of STLINKV3SET that has CANFD in it?

I would like to enable WiFi on the STM32L4 Discovery kit IoT node (B-L475E-IOT01A) and run a very simple HTTP server inside a FreeRTOS task.I would prefer to use the STM32CubeIDE to do this but will yield to MBED or some other framework if necessary.Any pointers, please?Currently, I do not see a way to enable WiFi in STM32CubeIDE.I do NOT want to set up this as an IoT node to any cloud.Thanks!Joe

By setting up a new project in STM32CubeMX 6.10.0, when adding a Semaphore in FREERTOS, the generated code is not correct, and the binary semaphores are initialised in a Taken state ( initial_count=0 of osSemaphoreNew() )  - resulting in the fact that the application will never be able to take the semaphore - see code snippet below.    /** * @brief FreeRTOS initialization * None * @retval None */ void MX_FREERTOS_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* USER CODE BEGIN RTOS_MUTEX */ /* add mutexes, ... */ /* USER CODE END RTOS_MUTEX */ /* Create the semaphores(s) */ /* creation of i2sHalfCpltReadySem */ i2sHalfCpltReadySemHandle = osSemaphoreNew(1, 0, &i2sHalfCpltReadySem_attributes);    The correct function call should be with initial_count=1 as here below and how it was in older MX versions   foo = osSemaphoreNew(1,1, &bar);  For users having the same issu

Hello all,I have an application in which I want to control four BLDC motors independently using the FOC. I want to use a STM32G484 for this. The question now is how I can distribute the interrups so cleverly that I can control all motors with 16kHz without them blocking each other.Many thanks for your answers :)

Hello, may be someone can answer the following question:I would like to order from estore a NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q dev board but would like to clarify one moment. The description says: **** On-board ST-LINK (STLINK/V2-1, STLINK-V3E, or STLINK-V3EC) *** If I understand the situation correctly those types of debug./program. are mutually exclusive.  How do I order NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q dev board with STLINK-V3 and not V2? I opened a ticket with Sales/CS on March 6 (Case# 00227964) and so far received 4 replies ranging from "will send it to A, he knows better" to "the board is sold by a third-party distributor, so we dont know ask them" i.e. people have no idea what is being sold through ST web site.What is really upsetting is that on the web page in question https://estore.st.com/en/nucleo-h755zi-q-cpn.html the customers are encouraged to contact sales if they have any questions.   Thanks!

Documentation pages won't open! Anyone has that problem? Version v 1.2.0https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stlink-v3-bridge.html#overview

I'm following along AN6000 to bypass the internal SMPS of the STM32N6 and use my own SMPS and LDOs power several of the power rails for the MCU and have some questions:1. In section 3.2 "System power/up/uncontrolled power-down sequence", the document states that the bootloader software must disable the internal SMPS by clearing the SDEN bit in PWR_CR1 register. Is this behavior configurable via CubeMX setting, or needs to be set manually in bootloader and if so, is this achievable once Vdd comes on?2. In the same section, it states that the PWR_ON signal is activated and Vddcore, Vdda18x and Vddperiph are enabled. The PWR_ON signal is asserted automatically once the power thresholds are reached, correct, or do I have to set the signal manually?3. In section 2 "Discrete power supply topologies", the diagram shows the LDOs and SMPS for Vddcore, Vdd, Vdda1V8_AON, vdda1v8 and Vddperiph but I do not see an LDO or SMPS for Vddio although I see Vdda1v8 powering some IO blocks. My confusion is

Dear,I'm trying to use the ETH with Zephyr RTOS 3.5.99. It was built the samples/net/dhcpv4_client sample, however, I tried to build others examples from samples/net/socket, such as echo and echo_client, but was impossible.I would appreciate it if anyone could provide information on how to set up ETH on Zephyr.Thanks.
