Hi,I am working on a product for one of my clients that included two MCUs (STM32h755) on the same board working together and he requested both MCUs to be run on the same time "same clock", to be synced together. could you please advise if it possible to add a clock generator IC to feed both MCUs same clock. if so, please suggest a component or a document that will help me with this design. Thanks

I need to save a couple of bytes (a settings struct) to upper (last) page of the Bank1 flash. The settings are changed very rarely so lifetime of the flash is not an issue. The settings struct has a CSC member so when the settings are read from the flash during startup the settings would be applied only if the CSC of the settings struct is right.I know that I have to unlock, then erase a full page (128kB) before saving the app settings. How can I do this using HAL_Flash_xxx calls? I also must lock out the last page of Bank1 from code space (Linker file?). Can anybody send an example? I am using STM32H7474I-DISCO discovery board. Thanks,LouisPS: Adding a small, external SPI/I2C NVRAM/Flash chip won't work. I have to solve saving/restoring settings within the discovery board.

I am writing this post in case anybody encounters a similar problem. I had a problem with assigning IP address to STM32F769I-DISCO devboard and communicating with it via Ethernet while using LwIP and FreeRTOS. The solution to this problem was disabling D-Cache in Cortex_M7 settings in STM32CubeMX. I don't know if I would ever think about trying this out if not for the old forum thread I found.

Struggling to get my own STM32U5A5 board working... the USB HS PHY was not working, until... (see below).I was confused also with this thread:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32u5-and-usb-hs/td-p/571774This told me actually as well: you need an external XTAL, not a CMOS OSC (and maybe 16 MHz). - But not true.I have changed my SystemClock_Config() !Instead of an external 16 MHz XTAL (as on NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q board) I have an external 8 MHz CMOS OSC (not a XTAL).The USB CDC (VCP UART) project, running on NUCLEO board - runs now also on my own PCB! Cool. Some other tweaks needed to reuse my NUCLEO-U5A5JZ-Q project (e.g. no UCPD1, no ADC VBUS sensing), but this SystemClock_Confing() did the job:RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI|RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE;#ifdef NUCLEO_BOARDRCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState = RCC_HSE_ON;#elseRCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState = RCC_HSE_BYPASS;#endifRCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON;RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALI

here i am again , having trouble.. I'm part way though tutorial 4 ( Tutorial 4: Creating a Scroll Wheel with Custom Behavior | TouchGFX Documentation) . it gives 2 pieces of code to put in and then says when u run the simulator you'll get this image of scroll wheel with icons changing.. I get a load of errors.  I have very little c++ knowledge i'm used to embedded c.  So i do have a bit of a learning curve but i feel as if there is a step missing or a piece of code missing..  Compiling generated/gui_generated/src/containers/MenuElementBase.cpp Compiling generated/gui_generated/src/screen1_screen/Screen1ViewBase.cpp Compiling generated/gui_generated/src/common/FrontendApplicationBase.cpp Compiling generated/simulator/src/video/SoftwareMJPEGDecoder.cpp In file included from generated/gui_generated/include/gui_generated/screen1_screen/Screen1ViewBase.hpp:13:0, from gui/include/gui/screen1_screen/Screen1View.hpp:4, from generated/gui_generated/include/gui_generate

Hi All, I was searching for a I/O bank voltages of different GPIO ports available in the controller. In datasheet there is no proper information on supply voltages for the GPIO Pins., could you please suggest the document which is having the information of supply voltages for different I/O banks.   Note: However, I am unable to confirm which ports support 3.3V. Table 18 of the datasheet does not correlate the PIN numbers with VCCIOX. Below figure shows only few I/O ports.     Regards Tejas

I was just debugging earlier today on my STM32H7B3I-EVAL board from my Mac (Sequoia 15.3.1), which I have been doing for weeks.  Note, the eval board has a built in ST-link.  Things were going great.  I figured it was a good time to install github integration. After I installed eGit from the Eclipse Marketplace, I saw the indication that I can update from 1.17 to 1.18 and clicked on it.  Everything appears to go smooth on both the git stuff and the upgrate of the IDE.  Unfortunately 1 problem was found after installation.Projects in the workspace that were working minutes before the upgrade, and have NOT been modified after the upgrade, have all now consistently failed to debug.  The message is the same, that no ST-link was detected. My suspicion was that this was a problem with the STM32CubeIDE.  I tried out the STM32CubeProgrammer and it works wonderfully still.  I assume that is enough to show that the ST link is fully operational.I went ba

Hi guys. I am using STM32G431KBT MCU. I am using 2 MCU (master / slave) and they communicate via canbus. Canbus is working good but canbus filter is not working. Master canbus address is 0x200 ans slave address is 0x101. I changing master ID (0x150) but the slave still continues to receive data and go to the canbus callback program. Cubemx settings are as follows; And program is here;   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_FDCAN1_Init(); MX_TIM2_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ Configure_FDCAN_Filter(); if (HAL_FDCAN_Start(&hfdcan1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_FDCAN_ActivateNotification(&hfdcan1, FDCAN_IT_RX_FIFO0_NEW_MESSAGE, 0) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } Config_CANTX();void Configure_FDCAN_Filter(void) { FDCAN_FilterTypeDef sFilterConfig; sFilterConfig.IdType = FDCAN_STANDARD_ID; // Standart 11-bit ID sFilterConfig.FilterIndex = 0; sFilterConfig.FilterType = FD

Hi,In CubeIDE, new project, choosing STM32H755ZIT6 (the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q), the board stops responding when turning off and on the power to the board. I have made a simple LED example with everything set to default with the addition of two user LEDs blinking - one controlled by M7 and one by M4 core. It works fine until you remove the USB and put it back in. Then ST-link cannot connect. I have used the debug configuration from the application note:Getting started with projects based on dual-core STM32H7 microcontrollers in STM32CubeIDE - Application note STM32Cube Version: 1.17.0CubeMX version: 6.13Firmware package: H7 V1.12.1 Best regards Nikolaj

Hello!I have a question regarding the system clock source selection. Specifically, I would like to understand how the High-Speed External (HSE) clock works. Does the board already include a crystal or ceramic resonator that serves as the source for the HSE, or is it necessary to connect an external one?If the HSE is configurable in STM32CubeIDE as a clock source, why is that possible? I’m wondering how the system works in that context.Thank you!

Hi,I'm working with an STM32MP257-EV1, and security is managed by OP-TEE. I'm trying to dynamically modify PMIC voltages from a Linux module.I've read that the PMIC is managed by OP-TEE via the SCMI subsystem.I tried calling the Trusted App SCMI from the OP-TEE Client API, but I got an "access denied" error.Should I use the SCMI Client API directly or the Linux regulator API?Is it possible to get a code example of PMIC management from Linux via OP-TEE? I found a lot of explanations and diagrams, but I counldn't find any actual source code examples.Best regards,Jerome

I need to know if this ST i'm using has been made by ST or is a clone G071GBGQ28L109RCHNB.       323

Hello Everybody,MCSDK:6.3.0CubeMX: 6.3.0Workbench : 6.3.0Motor Pilot : 1.2.9Power Board : IHM08M1(Rshunt=0.01Ω)Control Board : NUCLEO-G431RBMotor : BLDC 26w 24v/8 pole pairs / rpm=4k / rated current=1.8A/hall sensor Currently, I am testing the motor startup using Open Loop Voltage Mode and then switching to Torque Mode (SMO + PLL). However, when switching to Torque Mode, the motor fails to spin, yet no error codes are triggered.I suspect that this might be due to the fact that in Open Loop Mode, the motor does not rely on electrical angle feedback, whereas in Closed Loop Mode, accurate electrical angle synchronization is required. This could lead to an electrical angle desynchronization issue, preventing the motor from operating correctly after switching. If this is the case, what possible solutions could be implemented to address this issue?Or are there any other potential causes that might be contributing to this problem?

Hi ST experts, I'm using STM32F103RBT6, and for GPIO's Alternate functions, I want to use default, not remap.Based on its datasheet, I understand that when its SPI2 interface works in SPI master mode, PB15 acts as data output MOSI and PB14 acts as data input MISO.But my question is: When SPI2 is configured as SPI slave mode, which PIN acts as data output and which pin acts as data input?Thx a lot. BR,Jon

In file generated by CubeMx when creating a new project, the SystemInit function does not set the register of the interrupt vector table (SCB-> VTOR) !!! The default value is zero, which causes a crash on the first interrupt trigger, i.e. the code loops to an address 0x1FFFxxxx (system memory)freshly generated code/** * @brief Setup the microcontroller system. * @retval None */void SystemInit(void){#if defined(USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS) /* Configure the Vector Table location -------------------------------------*/ SCB->VTOR = VECT_TAB_BASE_ADDRESS | VECT_TAB_OFFSET;#endif /* FPU settings ------------------------------------------------------------*/#if (__FPU_PRESENT == 1) && (__FPU_USED == 1) SCB->CPACR |= ((3UL << 20U)|(3UL << 22U)); /* set CP10 and CP11 Full Access */#endif /* Reset the RCC clock configuration to the default reset state ------------*/...code of the previous version of the package/** * @b

Hello everyone! Everything is in the title. I'm not sure at which point I changed the structure to Advanced (probably when trying to debug), but I ended up with a massive main.c file. Now, the Application Structure cannot be changed. Do I need to remake the project from scratch, or is there a way to revert to basic? Thanks in advance.

If I tried to connect Nucleo-WB55RG with CubeProgrammer GUI and CUI to update wireless stack using swd connection, the behavior of each was different.I could start FUS and update wireless stack on GUI, but cannot start FUS and update wireless stack like picutures.I just followed how to flash on STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/STM32WB5x/Release_Notes .What is difference or what is wrong on CUI update? If I tried to use FUS on CUI, always asked "File does not exist: 0x495_FUS_Operator.bin" as error message.Best regards,

Hello, ST experts HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA works well in our project, it can get idle interrupt or uart data stream interrupt. But when STM32's partner power down and up again, I think that means UART_RX line to STM32 goes low during this period, the call of HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA always returns an error code. How can I restore in such situation? BRYang

after looking over all the documentation i could find (datasheet, reference manual, etc.), i could not clearly find how i am meant to connect IR LED(s) for IrDA communication with an STM32WB55. The image i attached is a screenshot from the reference manual, which implies that there may be IrDA_OUT and _IN pins (i'm interpreting this as being seperate from the TX and RX pins). Am i supposed to add some kind of intermediate IC for IrDA, or can the STM32WB55 actually output signals for driving/reading IR LEDs/photodiodes?   P.S. i'm aware of the existance of the IR_OUT pins, but that appears to be its own seperate thing. In the IR_OUT documentation they use only timers (TIM16 & TIM17), not the USART peripheral.

New question moved from this thread.Hi again, A related follow-up question: Any plans of a N6-version in a LQFP-package this year? Thanks in advance

Hi, Does anyone know what model the component is with code bellow:AAGP207Thanks,Alex

Hello, after being busy with some other stuff, we are finally back to face problems with secure bootloader integration. What we learned so far (our learnt points could be wrong and corrections would  be greatly appreciated):ST provides a very nice CubeMX-based ecosystem, which is, however, totally incompatible with ST's either SBSFU or TFM examples: there are different folder structures, different initializers, no clear integration between the three whatsaver.Debugging either TFM or SBSFU is complex and time-consuming task: every time you make even single statement changed in your code, you have to pass through complete process of: Recompiling all three (four in case of local loader) projects: customer non-secure, TFM secure, and BOOTloader itself, with signing etc.Upload all three to the FLASH by using relevant scripts and CubeProgrammer.Starting with bootloader and only then use some breakpoints in custom non-secure code. SW/HW resets, watchdogs etc. further complicate the pr

I cannot figure out which pins to connect to I2C on the STM32F070F6T6 chip.  AN2606 says to use PB6/PB7 which do not exist on this part.  The only pins that are mapped to I2C1 are PA9/PA10 or PF0/PF1 according the data sheet.  My first spin of a board uses PF0/PF1 and that does not appear to be working.

I am using TIM2 to create PWMs for LEDs. When I enter STOP mode I expect the PWM to stop. Yet it does not. From the manual TIM do not have wakeup capability from stop mode. So they should not be requesting the HSI to operate. What could possibly cause the HSI to continue to operate in STOP mode. I am waking in 5s from RTC. during this whole time and continuously uninterrupted as far as I can tell the PWM keep going. Shouldn't they stop?HSIKERON is 0.
