I am currently using STM32U5 + ST25R3196B with STM32CubeMX and X-CUBE-NFC6.The program is based on the documentation from X-CUBE-NFC6.Previously, I tested the example on the STM32F4 series, and it worked correctly. However, after migrating to STM32U5, the program does not function as expected. After tracing, I found that execution stops at the following segment: Additionally, "BSP_NFC0XCOMM_IRQ_Callback()" is not triggered as expected.I am aware that EXTI configurations differ between STM32U5 and STM32F4, so I modified the settings as follows: The SPI initialization appears to be correct, but the issue persists. Could you help check if there are any potential issues? Thank you.

Hello,I have a STM32L552E-EV, and I would like to know how to detect the RESET button ?Thank you for your helps.

Hello ST,I'm encountering an issue when generating an STM32G474 project using STM32CubeMX V6.14.0. When using the default Scatter File (stm32g474xx_flash.sct) generated by CubeMX in Keil, the program gets stuck at HAL_Init(). However, if I check the "Use Memory Layout from Target Dialog" option in Keil to let it generate the sct file instead, the program compiles and runs normally. This problem didn't occur in the previous version, V6.13.0. Could you please look into this and verify if there's an error in the Scatter File configuration generated by CubeMX V6.14.0 for STM32G474 projects? To give you a better understanding of the issue, I've included some relevant code snippets below:stm32g474xx_flash.sct (generated by CubeMX V6.14.0); ********************************************************************************* ; *** Scatter-Loading Description File generated by STM32CubeMX/LinkerGenerator *** ; *********************************************************************************; LR_IRO

hello, im designing an RFID board, using the ST25R3918, no where in the datasheet have i been able to find what to do with BSS/MOSI (float, pull up or down). I saw that BSS is used with I2C regarding transparent mode, but that's not needed for my projectthank you

Hello ST,We are developing device and we want to provide free FW updates if some bugs occurre. Updates will be flashed via DFU - usb communication. Currently we are using STM32F411CEU6.Can you recommend best options for protecting the FW from being copied to a non-original board? Is it possible? Or the only option will be to use your new MCUs with firmware encryption feature? Can you suggest pin-pin replacement for F411? Thank youBest regards, Martin

Hi!with cube IDE i'm trying to develop a USB device with 3 classes using  a STM32H523 with USBX and threadX.If i select USB HID,USB MSC and USB ACM (virtual com port) the code is succesfully generated but if i close and reopen the .ioc GUI i have this message error:the value of UX_MAX_DEVICE_ENDPOINTS can't be less then number of endpoints used.(used endpoints: 7). it will be set to 6.what does it mean? is not possible to have 3 classes? or i have to change something in the endpoints and it can be done?there is an example like this? or a guide to understande the endspoint managethank you

There seems to be a bug when using the USBX hub class.  Sometimes it works, but most often it does not.  The problem appears to be with file: ux_host_stack_enum_thread_entry.c.  The code:  VOID _ux_host_stack_enum_thread_entry(ULONG input) { UX_PARAMETER_NOT_USED(input); /* Loop forever waiting for changes signaled through the semaphore. */ while (1) { /* Wait for the semaphore to be put by the root hub or a regular hub. */ _ux_host_semaphore_get_norc(&_ux_system_host -> ux_system_host_enum_semaphore, UX_WAIT_FOREVER); #if UX_MAX_DEVICES > 1 /* We try the hub first. For this we look into the USBX project structure to see if there is at least one hub. */ if (_ux_system_host -> ux_system_host_enum_hub_function != UX_NULL) { /* Yes, there is a HUB function, call it! */ _ux_system_host -> ux_system_host_enum_hub_function(); } #endif /* The signal may be also coming from the root hub, call the root hub handler. */ _ux_host

I would like to use ST25DV-I2C for I2C communication and GPO output. The datasheet states that to use GPO output, an external pull-up is required for the 8-pin package, and an external power supply (VDCG) is required for the 12-pin package. However, I do not want to have an external power supply on the board. Is it possible to transmit power to the ST25DV-I2C via RF, and then supply power to the pull-up or VDCG from V_EH?Also, can power be supplied from V_EH to VCC for I2C communication?

Hello Community,i have followed the documentation on how to enable RDP-like product state flash protection in STM32H5 microcontrollers.https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-enable-rdp-like-product-state-flash-protection-in-stm32h5/ta-p/708082 In my custom hardware i have an external SPI flash. The issue i have is that after regression,  i am not able to read the content of the external flash (i get an error saying Data read failed ). There is no issue on reading the internal flash though. Following are the commands i use-c port=SWD freq=4000 UR -el "K:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin\ExternalLoader\STM32H5_FLASHLOADER.stldr"-e all-d "C:\Firmware\Test.hex" -v-ob PRODUCT_STATE=0x17--scriptdisconnect-c port=swd mode=hotplug reset=swrst-sdp C:\Firmware\Security\DA_ConfigWithPassword.obk-ob PRODUCT_STATE=0x72I have used the default DA_ConfigWithPassword.xml provided in the cubemx directoriesAnyone knows what could be the issue here?A

Hello st forum,I'm currently working with STM32G0B1VCI6, I'm trying to configure the ADC1 channel but it is not working properly. I need to convert 11 channels (10 external and 1 internal channel) and I'm configuring the driver in such a way it can convert all channels at once. According to the documentation, when sequencer is set to not fully configurable, the conversion is done for the enabled channels using their defined channel ID. My plan is to catch each ECO event to save the data until detect the last element (EOS event). However, I'm getting the interrupt immediately with the EOS flag enabled, causing to just read one data instead of 11. This is the configuration I'm using: @Roger SHIVELY

Hello,This is the first time I'm working with an STM32 and I have a question regarding the VREF+ pin. I'm creating a schematic for the MCU and I'm not entirely sure what to do with the VREF+ pin and I'd like some clarification on something. According to the datasheet, the connection between VDDA and VREF+ depends on the package type. I'll be using the 100-LQFP package and if I've read the datasheet correctly, that means that VDDA and VREF+ are internally connected? So I can just leave the VREF+ pin floating and still have access to VREF? Or would it still be best to apply a filtered voltage to the VREF+ pin externally? I have a filtered voltage supply to the VDDA pin already in the schematic and am I right in saying that if I have read the datasheet correctly, then there is no need to add another filtered voltage externally to VREF+, correct? Thanks.

I'm extracting the histogram data from the VL53L8CH. In the 8x8 mode, we are limited to few bins (~18) per reading. Is there a way to configure the sensor to oscillate the starting bin configuration so that I can get better range with the same bin precision? For example, in a cycle read bins 0-17, then bin 18-35, etc. If this is possible, is there guidance for how this can be done? Following the code from Example_12_cnh_data.c, is it possible to setup multiple configurations within a loop, such as vl53lmz_cnh_init_config(&cnh_config, 0, 18, 1), vl53lmz_cnh_init_config(&cnh_config, 18, 18, 1), etc?

Hey,I have a stm32f407 discovery board, I flashed a code using stm32ide to store some integer data in sector 11 of flash memory(0x080E0000) and then read the data and blink led if it matched. Now I commented the code to write data and tried just read data at that location, but when i tried to flash code using stm32ide onto the board it failed. Got this error in the console.Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_NOT_HALTED)Error message from debugger back end:Error finishing flash operationFailed to execute MI command:load D:\\Stm32_projects\\flash_memory\\Debug\\flash_memory.elf Error message from debugger back end:Error finishing flash operationFailed to execute MI command:load D:\\Stm32_projects\\flash_memory\\Debug\\flash_memory.elf Error message from debugger back end:Error finishing flash operationError finishing flash operationBut if I try to flash code using stlink utility it works fine.

I am trying to run multiple VL53L5CX-TOF-sensors with a single Pi Pico to be able to stitch together multiple of the sensor images. However for this to work I have to change the i2c addresses of the sensors.I am trying to use the set_i2c_address function for this.I have read the steps from the usage guide about enabling/disabling additional sensors on the same i2c bus via the LPn pin but whenever I try to call the set_i2c_address even with just a single sensor connected I get  RuntimeError: VL53L5CX: set_i2c_address error.Currently I am using the Pimoroni Firmware that provides a driver accessible via micropython that just calls the ULD firmware / driver for the VL53L5CX. I am not sure if something about my approach/order is wrong or if there might be an issue with the ULD driver itself.I would greatly appreciate any help/advise. This is the code I am currently using:   import pimoroni_i2c import breakout_vl53l5cx import time from time import sleep import machin

Hi,as you can see in the first screenshot, in the X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX settings (TouchGFX Generator tab) the LTDC option for the Application Tick Source is not available. And at the bottom it says "LTDC in only available if enabled".LTDC is enabled and configured (second screenshot). Does it need to be configured and/or enabled in some other ways or some other place too?Thank you :)

Hi,I just updated CubeIDE/CubeMX, and after creating a new project, I began configuring the microcontroller. However, when I tried to install FreeRTOS, it didn’t seem to be available. In the older version of CubeMX, there was a FreeRTOS option under Middleware (as shown in the first screenshot from a video), but it appears to be missing now. I did find X-CUBE-FREERTOS, but it doesn’t seem to offer any options like CMSIS_V1 or CMSIS_V2 or any  ther very many parameters that FreeRTOS that in the previous version were available. What happened?1. Is that X-CUBE-FREERTOS, the only or perhaps the preferred option to use/install hrough MX?2. How do I select CMSIS_V1 or CMSIS_V2 and all other parameters like in the older configurator (third screenshot)?3. Are all ST libraries that rely on FreeRTOS now using X-CUBE-FREERTOS?Thanks you  :)Ricko

Hello everyone! :raising_hands:I’m currently working with the N6 Discovery Board and would like to systematically understand the available CubeAI API functions related to AI features. Does anyone know if there is a comprehensive reference or documentation listing all the functions that can be used?Additionally, I’m looking for learning materials or technical documentation on N6’s display and camera usage (e.g., display drivers, camera interfacing). Does anyone know where to find these resources?Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :rocket::folded_hands:

I’ve encountered a bug in TouchGFX version 4.25 when working with TextAreas. If you manually assign an ID to a TextArea, such as "id_txt_config_ntp", and then duplicate the TextArea (using copy and paste), the second generated one remains linked to the first. Even if you change the ID of the second one, any modification made to either of them affects both.

From what I read we should be able to save JPEG images to an SD card, and then load these into a dynamic bitmap via a combination of FatFS (or whatever) and LibJPEG, in order to display. A couple of questions:Could a texture mapper then use this image, so that we can apply scale and rotate? Are scale and rotate purely done in software, I assume this is the case, but maybe it depends on the MCU?I will be using the STM32U5G9J-DK2 for testing. Many Thanks,Anthony

Hi,Does anyone know if there is a chance for a new N6-device later this year having built in flash of at least 4MB?Our project is currently based on a one chip solution with a custom U5-board with built in FLASH/RAM of 4MB and a 5” Riverdi display. However, we need to migrate to a 7” Riverdi display and a MCU with higher performance. We are in strong favour of shorten time-to-market by keeping a low complexity integration (i.e. no external memories) and a straightforward PCB design. It would be really helpful to us if any plausible market intentions from ST are given. Thanks in advance

Hi,I am using an STM32H7RS MCU (NUCLEO-H7S3L8) and I need to use both USB HS Device and Ethernet MAC.For Ethernet MAC I will only need to use MDIO interface, so I don't think I need a stack for it but please correct me if I am wrong. The MX_ETH_Init code is generated with STM32CubeMX 6.14.0, the pin assignment is according to the schematics:https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1737-h7s3l8-b02-schematic.pdf /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file eth.c * @brief This file provides code for the configuration * of the ETH instances. ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2025 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS

I have set up a STM32F103 as a I2C master. I have found that calling the function HAL_I2C_Mem_Read sometimes disables all interrupts for more than 140us. Needless to say this causes significant problems with the timing of other external interrupts. The section of code that does this is:   __disable_irq(); /* Read data from DR */ *hi2c->pBuffPtr = (uint8_t)hi2c->Instance->DR; /* Increment Buffer pointer */ hi2c->pBuffPtr++; /* Update counter */ hi2c->XferSize--; hi2c->XferCount--; /* Wait until BTF flag is set */ count = I2C_TIMEOUT_FLAG * (SystemCoreClock / 25U / 1000U); do { count--; if (count == 0U) { hi2c->PreviousState = I2C_STATE_NONE; hi2c->State = HAL_I2C_STATE_READY; hi2c->Mode = HAL_I2C_MODE_NONE; hi2c->ErrorCode |= HAL_I2C_ERROR_TIMEOUT; /* Re-enable IRQs */ __enable_irq(); /* Process Unlocked */ __HAL_UNLOCK(hi2c); return HAL_ERROR; } } while (__HAL_I2C_GET_FLAG(hi2c, I2C_FLAG_BTF) == RESET); /*

When will this product be available in retail ?  The ECO system already supports this board but there is no STMICRO hardware, except the EV board.

Hello everyone,I have a .hex and a .bin file that set an output to high/low on an STM32H745.When I upload the .hex file, my project works correctly, but when I upload the .bin file, it doesn't work.I'm sharing both files.I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can you help me?
