I'm having the same problem on 2 different boards. I gen'd up a simple program using CubeMX and I'm only sending some data to both ports at the same time: void StartTask02(void const * argument) { /* USER CODE BEGIN StartTask02 */ /* Infinite loop */ int i; for(i = 0;i < DATA_SIZE;i++) data[i] = i; vTaskDelay(1000); for(;;) { vTaskDelay(2); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, &data[0], DATA_SIZE/5, 100); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, &data[0], DATA_SIZE/5, 100); } /* USER CODE END StartTask02 */ } I thought maybe one was a 'knock-off' because the LED's aren't colored while the other is.

Does the STM32L051 have any unpublished errata for the EEPROM?The STM32L151 has an errata note that an EEPROM write while the MCU gets reset could look it up. Is the same true for the STM32L051? STM32L051 does not mention anything in the errata. But if they share some IP, maybe it could be the same for STM32L051?

Hi folks,I have SDMMC1 working on CM7 on my H755 Nucleo. Now I want to migrate FAT-FS and the uSD to CM4, in which case I think I should switch to the SDMMC2 peripheral since it's in D2 domain along with CM4.I have a some questions about this and would be grateful for advice.Firstly, am I right in believing that although the CM4 core can access SDMMC1 via the D2-to-D1 AHB, this is going to be slower than using SDMMC2, and is any such speed penalty significant?Secondly, assuming that I should indeed use SDMMC2, I can't do this because PB14 is reserved for LD3 whilst this is needed for D3 on SDMMC2. I see from the data sheet that I can remove R75 in order to free-up PB14, but I wonder how CubeIDE knows that I've done this, since I've tried resetting the pin (in CubeIDE) and although it let's me do this and then generates code using SDMMC2, the next time I load the .ioc I see that SDMMC2 is showing as not available and has been unchecked.Finally, why can't I use SDMMC2 in 1-bit mode, sinc

  I have several problems with the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board   1) When initializing the USB - HS peripherals, I getting stuck in the "USB_CoreReset" function: Related problem and after some time when (count > HAL_USB_TIMEOUT) the program goes to Error_Handler(). This happens identically when I initialize the project with the board selection (file nucleo_h7s3l8_test.rar) The project is launched on an internal flash drive without using XSPI, i.e. only the ..._BOOT project is used and ...APPLI is always closed.   2) Then I started digging into the examples and using the UM3294 instruction 5.2.3 Developing an application in the external flash memory, page 21 The project is presented below: STM32Cube_FW_H7RS_V1.1.0\Projects\NUCLEO-H7S3L8\Applications\USB_Device\CDC_Standalone But the program never goes into debug and gets stuck at a strange address.   I tried to run only ..._BOOT but the initialization of the external memory is going through errors and as a result,

I am using an STM32U585QI.  I have some memory mapped PSRAM that I'm using.  I have enabled DCACHE, but do I have to manually do something with the MPU for it to cache memory accesses to/from the memory?  The reference manual says:"In addition, the AHB bus traffic to the memory regions can be cacheable or noncacheable.An incoming memory request to DCACHE is defined as cacheable according to its AHBtransaction memory lookup attribute....These AHB attributes depend on the memory protection unit (MPU) programming for theaddressed region." If I don't call HAL_MPU_Enable or set it in any way, will memory mapped and DMA reads/writes to the external memory region go through the data cache?

Hello All, I need to change the touch GFX project name MyApplication_747I to something else, I am trying to change it from config but touch gfx is not allowing it to change. I tried to edit and modify the  .touchgfx file and changed the name from "Name": "MyApplication_747I ",  to  "Name": "UI_Software", along with "ProjectFile": "../../STM32H747I-EVAL.ioc", to "ProjectFile": "../../IPL_UI_Software.ioc", Additionally I have changed file ApplicationTemplate.touchgfx.part  in this "Name": "IPL_UI_Software", and "ProjectFile": "../../IPL_UI_Software.ioc", While loading the file and opening the touchgfx project using the .touchgfx project I am getting attached Error. Could you please suggest what further modification i need to make or any corrections to do so that i can change the desire name of project safely. Attached are the logs for your reference to get better clarity. BR,Shiv

Hello,I am working in STM32H745I-DISCO since January. Yesterday I have disconected the USB of CN14 connector ( I used it for programming/debuging and powering). This morning I have connected de USB but the board doesn´t work. After test de voltages I have realised that the st-linkc3 does not pull up the pin T_PWR_EN of component U24.I have tried to connect through stm32cubeprogramer but Error: no debug probe detected appears.There are any way to recover this?Thank you in advance.

Hi Community,I am designing an NFC card reader using a combination of the ST25R3916B NFC frontend and the STM32L476 MCU.The ST25R3916B has four supply input pins:VDD_IO (pin 1): Connected to 3.3V for all serial communication.VDD_A (pin 7): Typically connected to 5V by default from the booster.VDD_RF (pin 9): Also typically connected to 5V by default from the booster.VDD_TX (pin 10): Typically connected to 5V by default from the booster.In my setup, VDD_IO is powered by a 3.3V supply, while VDD_A, VDD_RF, and VDD_TX are powered by a 5V booster supply, as seen in the ST25R3916B-EMVCO reference schematic.My question is: Is it okay or recommended to supply these three pins (VDD_A, VDD_RF, and VDD_TX) with 5V? I originally planned to power everything with a single 3.3V supply, but I noticed in the reference schematic that they are supplied with 5V. Would it make any difference if I powered these three pins with 3.3V instead of 5V? Reducing the number of supply voltages by using a 3.3V suppl

Hi, I find the search system on the ST website to be lacking. There are a lot of parameters I can't search for/filter by. Is there an ST e-mail / form contact I can use to ask for help? If anyone here can help, I'll try to describe what I am looking for: I am interested in an MCU/MPU that has: A RAM controller for some kind of DRAM that would give me 128, 256 or even 512MB Graphics acceleration The fewest steps possible to get the video out to HDMI (scaled to 720/1080p with interpolation) I found the STM32H7R7A8, which seems really good but the display controller only goes up to XGA. Could I somehow scale that up when converting to HDMI? I can get by with 8/16 pixel depth, if that helps. The STM32MP135DAG7 looked interesting but has no graphics acceleration.

I have this 2 programmers, stlinkv2isol and stlinkv3. With the first, I'm able to program and debug my board. Hi ST members！I have a question about FCC test settings, as the reference shows，I need set the ST25R95 in transmitting a continuously ASK modulated signal. How can I do this？I did not find any information in its datasheet thanks！

I've discovered an interesting quirk. When trying to load the elf file with the headers shown below, STM32CubeProgrammer erases the 2kB internal flash page on the STM32G474RE (dual bank mode) at 0x08007000. It then programs in the ELF file header. This sort of makes sense; there is a "hardware information" flash page at 0x08007800. However, it is set to NOLOAD in the linker script, and so there isn't actually any data there. In general, STM32CubeProgrammer does a good job not flashing areas which are NOLOAD, but for whatever reason it decides it simply must have something at 0x08007000 in this case. In fact, if I open the .elf in STM32CubeProg, there is data loaded in the viewer. However, using objcopy to create a binary, ihex, or srec file does not emit this area (rightfully so).We can work around this issue by using .ihex instead (within STM32CubeIDE GDB sends it down to the STM32G474RE as a temporary .srec) but ideally I should just be able to use the .elf.STM32CubeProg Console Outp

Hello,I am currently working on STM32N6570-DK. I want to create static library from files inside of Application layer and then I will create user memory and code section inside of my project. Therefore, users will develop their own graphic and I/O configurations for product.When I created new N6 project, I can not enable static library option. Hence, my questions are:1) Can I use static library inside of N6 project?2) Can I create static library for N6 as other mcu groups?Best Regards,BK

Hello ST People !I'm looking for information / possiblity to use SPI (via spidev & ioctl) in Linux user space with DMA.We have to transfert lots of data (4000bytes at one time, very very often) to a fpga, very quickly and we are facing latency issue during transfert.With the help of a scope, we see dead times between spi transactions during this big packet write.So we are thinking using spi dma to unload cpu, but we need some infos/direction to look for.Maybe someone help or points me to right direction?Bon weekend!

Hello,after changing one of the BCM4/7 boot option bytes of my Nucleo STM32H755 board with STM32CubeProgrammer, I can't connect to the MCU any more. When trying to connect with STM32CubeProgrammer, I getError: Unable to read device id from ROM tableError: ST-LINK error (DEV_CONNECT_ERR) Is this related to the change in option bytes or did the board get damaged somehow?Thanks and regards,Martin

Hello there! Esteemed ST team member,I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to address an issue I've encountered.I've designed a board based on the STM32H743 Nucleo board, but unfortunately, I'm facing difficulties with the USB functionality. I'm unsure if it's a matter of configuration or firmware. When I tested USB settings and functionality using the Nucleo board, everything worked seamlessly. Therefore, I'm inclined to think that the issue might lie with my board's circuit design.I would greatly appreciate any insights or assistance you could provide regarding this matter. Looking forward to your response.

Hello everyone,I am working with the NUCLEO-H753ZI and communicating with an IIM42652 accelerometer using SPI with DMA enabled. Below is the relevant part of my code:  int main(void) { /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_SPI1_Init(); MX_TIM12_Init(); /* Start Timer 12 PWM */ HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_IT(&htim12, TIM_CHANNEL_2); // Prepare SPI communication txbuffer_dma[0] = REG_WHO_AM_I | 0x80; txbuffer_dma[1] = 0x00; memset(rxbuffer_dma, 0, sizeof(rxbuffer_dma)); // Start SPI communication with DMA HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(&hspi1, txbuffer_dma, rxbuffer_dma, 4); /* Main Loop */ while (1) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_9, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_9, GPIO_PIN_RESET); } }  After running this code, I checked the signals using a logic analyzer and observed th

Hi, I have managed to extract the OEMiROT project from H533 into H523 and compiled it successfully using STM32CRYPTO library since H523 does only have limited cryptography accelerator. I have modified the flash_layout.h to match my application (which is only using the non-secure image with no data image). However, the OEMiROT bootloader firmware itself is configured with secure and non-secure parts. I have been updating the postbuild.sh script to match my project structure. I am at the stage or running AppliCfg.exe and it error out on the flash layout with the following error[ERR] The script was probably invoked manually with having certain macros nested in flash_layouts.h.Please revisit the flash_layout.h file and hardcode values for the (NON-)SECURE_IMAGE_OFFSET and (NON-)SECURE_IMAGE_MAX_SIZE macrosI checked these macros and they are matching the ones in map.properties. I also tested with MCUBOOT_APP_IMAGE_NUMBER 1 and 2 with the same resultI attached the following fi

I would like to connect a 1.4uH antenna to ST25DV-I2C.The datasheet says that there is a 28.5pF capacitor inside the IC for RF interface tuning.However, when using a 1.4uH antenna, the resonant frequency shifts from 13.56MHz.How should I adjust the resonant frequency?Also, are there any application notes that describe how to adjust the resonant frequency?

I’m connecting to an HT16K33 (on an Adafruit 4-digit, 7-segment display) to a NUCLEO-H755 board.I’m connecting I2C4 SCL to PF14 (pin 19 on CN9), and I2C4 SDA to PFf15 (pin 21 on CN9).Here's my init:static void MX_I2C4_Init(void) { hi2c4.Instance = I2C4; hi2c4.Init.Timing = 0x10707DBC; hi2c4.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0; hi2c4.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT; hi2c4.Init.DualAddressMode = I2C_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE; hi2c4.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0; hi2c4.Init.OwnAddress2Masks = I2C_OA2_NOMASK; hi2c4.Init.GeneralCallMode = I2C_GENERALCALL_DISABLE; hi2c4.Init.NoStretchMode = I2C_NOSTRETCH_DISABLE; ... if (HAL_I2CEx_ConfigAnalogFilter(&hi2c4, I2C_ANALOGFILTER_ENABLE) != HAL_OK) ... if (HAL_I2CEx_ConfigDigitalFilter(&hi2c4, 0) != HAL_OK) ... } I make the following call:uint8_t buffer[] = {0x00, 0xFF, 0x3F, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit_IT(&hi2c4, 0x70, buffer, sizeof(buff

 Hi, I trying to using VL53L5CX with my jetson nano.Once I want to using it with arduino uno, but uno is not possibly for using with it.So I trying to connected directly it on my jetson. I'm trying to followingVL53L5CX_Linux manual that downloaded from here.https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img025.html But for 3.2, I get some trouble. When I copied driver 2.0.0 folder on my jetsonand following the procedure(well, just simply use make as in manual)it shows such error like this ./menu.c: In function ‘main’:./menu.c:87:3: error: ignoring return value of ‘scanf’, declared with attribute warn_unused_result [-Werror=unused-result]87 | scanf("%s", choice);| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~cc1: all warnings being treated as errors Well, I'm very new with using jetson nano. So I'm not sure what's the problem.Maybe my jetson nano has some problems, that can't detect i2c connection with otherslike this lidar sensor or arduino board,this can be a problem? I'm really apprecia

Hi, I am following a course about USB bare metal, up until now I had no problems but the moment it started touching USB stuff the compiler started to give me errors, I think it's mostly that it does not recognize some definitions like USB_OTG_GlobalTypeDef even though it is in the stm32f407xx header file from the official CMSIS from ST.Note that all this code is bare metal (mostly).This is the full build log: 19:42:59 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project USB_COURSE **** make -j12 all arm-none-eabi-gcc "../Src/usbd_driver.c" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -std=gnu11 -g3 -DDEBUG -DSTM32 -DSTM32F407G_DISC1 -DSTM32F4 -DSTM32F407VGTx -DSTM32F407xx -c -I../Inc -I"C:/Users/nicoc/Desktop/archivos/codigo/STM/USB_COURSE/Inc/CMSIS/Include" -I"C:/Users/nicoc/Desktop/archivos/codigo/STM/USB_COURSE/Inc/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F4xx/Include" -O0 -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections -Wall -fstack-usage -fcyclomatic-complexity -MMD -MP -MF"Src/usbd_driver.d" -MT"Src/usbd_driver.o" --specs=n

I'm working with a boost converter and have noticed that when resetting the device a PWM pin remains high/floating for a 100-200msI use the HRTIM with complementary inputs and deadtime insertion.If my lowside pin remains floating/high for an extended period after reset it causes a dead short and will blow up stuff.How do I set it up that on any reset or power loss the HRTIM PWM pins go low.Am I supposed to use the fault behaviour?Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
