I started with the STM32F469I-DISCO which always places the screen in portrait mode (480x800).Is there a way to change that to landscape mode (800x480) at the start of the design process? It would be much simpler to design that way than to have to rotate it after the fact. Thanks

I have been using the STM32H753ZI100_24  for getting pressure data from the MS5611-01BA03 mems sensor. The debugger stops at SystemClock_Config() function in the code of reading prom registers from the MS5611-01BA03  sensor as per the datasheet Barometre datasheet int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MPU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ MPU_Config(); /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_SPI1_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ uint16_t prom[8] = {0}; uint8_t rst_cmd = 0x1E; // Reset command HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOD, GPIO_

Hi I am working on a project with STM32H730IBK6Q and STM32Cube IDE 1.16I am trying to use PA0_C as a GPIO, but the GPIO function is not connecting properly. PA0 is used an ADC, not as a GPIO, so from how I understand muxing there should be no conflict. But when I try to use PA0_C it reads a static value, even after I confirm connectivity. How do I properly configure my project to use PA0_C as a gpio? From the datasheet I got this cryptic instruction:Analog switch between ports Pxy_C and Pxy PA0_C, PA1_C, PC2_C and PC3_C can be connected internally to PA0, PA1, PC2 and PC3, respectively (refer to SYSCFG_PMCR register in RM0468 reference manual). The switch is controlled by VDDSWITCH voltage level. It is defined through BOOSTVDDSEL bit of SYSCFG_PMCR. If the switch is closed the switch characteristics are given in the table below. But nothing about what VDDSwitch is connected to physically or how to activate the pin properly in MX. CubeMX doesn't throw any er

Hi everyone,I'm having trouble generating a project to run an AI model on the Nucleo-N657X0-Q board.I open STM32CubeMX version 6.14.1, select the board, choose "Secured Application", and then when I select the X-CUBE-AI package, it asks for the ZIP file available here:https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stedgeai-core.html?ecmp=tt9470_gl_link_feb2019&rt=db&id=DB4255I download it, choose to use X-CUBE-AI in the Application domain, and when I try to select the ONNX model, it asks whether I want to optimize peripherals and clock. At this point, whether I click "Yes" or "No", CubeMX freezes indefinitely.I’ve already tried using CubeMX version 6.13 as well, but it didn’t help.My suspicion is that the problem might be related to the version of ST Edge AI. Version 2.1 on the ST Edge AI Developer Cloud throws an error during optimization (although maybe it's unrelated). Also, when selecting the package ZIP file, the dialog only shows folders, not ZIP files. I have to manually naviga

Hello ST community,Just thought of buying NUCLEO-WL33CC1 for development of flight telemetry. But I have few doubts before buying.1. What is the radio coverage distance with the default antenna that comes along with the kit? Assuming the test area is urban.2. Whether the range can be extended more with a different antenna to cover about 2km. Has anyone tried it?Thanks,Karthic V

Hi all,I'm having trouble getting reliable SPI communication using the STM32N6570-DK board. I'm using SPI5 with DMA, but the data I receive is only correct about 50% of the time.I'm expecting to receive the value 1025, but often get corrupted values like 1024, 512, or 256. However, on the oscilloscope, the SPI signal is always correct—it doesn't vary between good and bad reads.I've already taken steps to avoid cache issues by placing the DMA buffers in a non-cacheable memory region:__attribute__((section(".noncacheable"))) static uint8_t spi_tx_buf[IO_CHUNK_SIZE]; __attribute__((section(".noncacheable"))) static uint8_t spi_rx_buf[IO_CHUNK_SIZE];My MPU configuration for this region is as follows:/** * @brief Configure the MPU attributes for the non-cacheable RAM section. * @note This function should be called before enabling the caches. */ static void MPU_Config_NOCACHE(void) { MPU_Region_InitTypeDef MPU_InitStruct = {0}; /* Make sure the address is aligned to the region size */

Hey friends,Until yesterday, my custom board with the STM32H753ZI100_24 MCU—connected to an IMU sensor, magnetometer, and barometric sensor via SPI—was detected successfully by STM32CubeIDE. But today, when I came to the office, I’m unable to initialize the ST-Link device, which I used to program the board through Vaap, GND, SDIO and SWCLK pins in the st-link.Here are the steps I’ve tried so far:Restarted my Linux PCRemoved all power from the board and the ST-Link V2, checked the connection and then reconnected everythingConnected the ST-Link to another STM32 MCU on the same board, and it works fineVerified 3.2 V power supply to the MCU with a multimeter which is needed for mcu to power up.Despite this, I still can’t get the ST-Link to detect the board. Could this be caused by something in the last code I flashed, or is it likely a hardware issue?Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

It have a new project with LCD(4.3' RGB:480*272) and touch panel, To drive this LCD and touch panel, i will select STM32H750VBT6 to develop , Whether can the TouchGFX support this MCU or not ?

Hello, I am a beginner following this official ST tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnMKNibPkDnFPqEmJAwEjsSS8MOQZHRNF I am trying to assign specific GPIO pins (for a BUTTONs and an LEDs) to a specific core. However, when I right-click a pin in the Pinout & Configuration view, the "Pin Reservation" option is missing from the context menu. Could you please help me understand what configuration is needed to enable this feature? My Setup: MCU: STM32WL55JCIx Firmware Package: STM32Cube FW_WL V1.3.1 IDE: STM32CubeIDE I have attached a screenshot. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi How to implement BLE [X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1] Mesh on Nucleo-F401 and Nucleo-L433 boards?

There's nothing in the manual which tells you which pin is source, and which is load! PS:Even the schematic doesn't help!

I'm trying to get the DMA engine to trigger transfers on TIM8_CH1 (DMA Request Mapping:  Channel 7, Stream 2). However, it's not working. I verified that the TIM8_CC1 looked good by driving it to an alternate function output.  Then, all I changed was the DMA Request Mapping stream number: Channel 7, Stream 3, to select TIM8_CH2, and setup TIM8_CC2 instead of TIM8_CC1. Surprisingly this worked, and DMA is running as expected. I then setup both TIM8_CC1 and TIM8_CC2 with the same settings, routed both to GPIO pins using alternate function outputs, and looked at both signals on an oscope: They are completely identical. The only difference is setting up the DMA for TIM8_CH1 (stream 2) vs TIM8_CH2 (stream 3). For whatever reason, TIM8_CH1 (stream 2) doesn't work even though TIM8_CC1 is running. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, I'm currently working on several projects on STM32Cube IDE with each of them implementing the different low-power modes available on the Nucleo-WL55JC1 board (Sleep, LPR, LPS, STOP0-1-2, Standby and Shutdown). For each of them, I followed some of the tutorials already made on other boards/CPUs online, such as the ST wiki page on PWR, in order to know which HAL functions and specific configurations should I look for. Even for small tips such as masking interrupts or configuring all unused GPIOs pins to Analog mode. Everything was fine, until I arrived to the STOP0 mode. To demonstrate any sleep mode, I'm usually trying to make the MCU go to sleep before waking it up with a button (waiting for an interrupt) and making blink some LEDs to testify the MCU has indeed woken up. To measure the current consumption, I am using the Otii software solution. After downloading the code to the board, I use the Otii module as an external 3.3V power supply. Of course, I thoroughly check t

Dear ST Community,Thank you for taking the time to read my question. We are encountering the following challenges while developing a dual-core project for the STM32MP257 using STM32CubeIDE:ELF Flashing Issue on Linux Side:We aim to develop M33 core code independently in STM32CubeIDE and flash the compiled M33 .elf firmware from the Linux side. However, during flashing, we receive an ICA (Inter-Core Authentication) error (see attached Figure 1).OpenAMP Configuration Problem:After referring to tutorials (such as those from "正点原子" on Bilibili, though their demonstrations were for MP157), we realized we needed to enable OpenAMP in STM32CubeMX. However, upon enabling OpenAMP in our MP257 project, we encountered compilation errors due to missing header files (see Figure 2).Questions:Could this issue stem from incorrect STMCubeIDE base configurations (e.g., toolchain paths or package selection)?Alternatively, is there a known procedure for flashing M33 .elf files from Linux that we might have

I'm working on some code that has a boot loader and an application. At the moment I am using one linker script for each, which means I have to make sure I keep them in sync. Is it possible to configure the build for (e.g.) the boot loader so that .boottext is used instead of .text for the code so that a single linker file can be used?I've tried searching (here and internet) and it appears as if this can't be done with GCC - but I thought it was worth asking just in case I've missed something.

Does anyone know if the PGA OpAmp in the STM32 has the ability to interface with a differential input - like a Strain Gauge Wheatstone bridge?  I'm not convinced its going to work because my signal is going to swing +/-50mV, and the OpAmp does no look like it can handle a differential input.  There's probably some jiggly pokery that can be done to condition it externally, just wondered if anyone has any experience before I go down that route myself.

Hello ST Community,I've been exploring STEVAL-25R200A dev kit using the X-CUBE-NFC10 package-based sample application. Currently, I am testing the UNTRACEABLE mode feature in the ST25TV tag. However, I’m noticing some unexpected behavior and would love to get help and support. In my case UNTR_CMD = 1b and as per the Table 70 of the specifications, the device (ST25TV tag) should boot in UNTRACEABLE state irrespective of any UNTR_DFT value, and in this state, it should only respond to Get Random Number and Present Password commands. However, in my testing, I’ve found that when UNTR_CMD = 1b and UNTR_DFT = 0, the tag responds to every command which it should not. This makes me wonder if I’ve understood the UNTRACEABLE mode correctly or not. Regards,Tanuj

Greetings,During the power-on and power-off processes of the STM32F407 chip, the GPIO used as the DAC output will be pulled high for 8ms. The goal is that the GPIO should remain low when there is no DAC output. Adding an external pull-down resistor has an effect but cannot completely eliminate it. It was not present during online debugging, only occurring when there was a power surge. After erasing the program, it still existed. Preliminary judgment is that it is a hardware issue. Is there any way to solve this problem?Thank you so much for the help. @KDJEM.1 @LPetr.1 @TDK

Hi,I have installed the v4l2 driver for the STEVAL-56G3MAI1 camera module on ubuntu 22.04.05 LTS on a RPI CM4. But I am unable to access the module through /dev/video0.I have followed the instructions in the linux start guide fro ST BrightSense but I cannot get it to work.I am not sure if I need to do something in addition to these instructions:cd en.vd56g3_1.0.3/srcmakesudo cp *.ko /lib/modules/$(uname -r)sudo depmod -asudo rebootsudo apt updatesudo apt install device-tree-compilercd en.vd56g3_1.0.3/dts/rpi1_to_4/sudo dtc pcb4188_vd56g3.dts -o /boot/firmware/overlays/pcb4188_vd56g3.dtbosudo sh -c "echo 'dtoverlay=pcb4188_vd56g3' >> /boot/firmware/config.txt"sudo reboot v4l2-ctl --list-devices gives:unicam (platform:fe801000.csi):/dev/media3 Cannot open device /dev/video0, exiting. Is there something I am missing in the setup? Should the driver be placed in a different folder? Thanks for any assistance!

Hi Team,I have purchased the STEVAL-25R200SA board. I would like to know if I can develop custom NFC features using this board. And please provide me with sample NFC application code suitable for this board to refer to.  Thank youSreevishakh

Hi, We are working on railway projects where we are looking for SIL 2 microcontroller. As per our analysis we found out that we need to integrate the X-CUBE-STL package to make it to SIL 2compliance. And we have found out that it should have supported MCU's. As per our analysis the STM32H5 and STM32H7 series supports X-CUBE-STIL package. So, we wanted to know are the safety certified libraries available in this package to make it as SIL 2 compliance. Also, can you suggest if there are any SIL 2 certified microcontrollers available. Regards, Rajath

Hi, good morning to all. I'm in the process to design an application based on STM32U5G9ZJT6Q. My first question, please, is: is it possible to have this STM32 drive three different displays, and possibly have TouchGFX manage the whole three ?In my case I've:Display #1: Rotary 1.3" display (SPI interface, 240x240. IC GC9A01N). Connected to:STM32's SPI3-MOSISTM32's SPI3-SCKSTM32's general GPIOs for Chip Select and D/C SelectDisplay #2: Same type Rotary 1.3" display (SPI interface, 240x240. IC GC9A01N). Connected to:STM32's SPI1-MOSISTM32's SPI1-SCKSTM32's general GPIOs for Chip Select and D/C Select Display #3: 5" display (24 bit RGB interface, 800x480. IC ST7262-G4). Touch screen for user selection options. Connected to the STM32's dedicated 8xR, 8XG, 8XB, plus VSYNC, HSYNC, etc. Would this work ?Furthermore, second question, sorry: if I utilize MOSI and SCK dedicated pins on the STM32 (on SPI1 for example), can I utilize the other SPI1's pins of the same interface for ot

Hello, I have tried to turn on LEDs on the STM32F429i eval board, using buttons and interrupt.  I also noticed on the touch screen, there is GUI that has some basic operations like opening the folder and playing a simple game.  What kind of RTOS does it use ?  Is it FreeRTOS ?I have been looking for labs that can be implemented on the board from all sources and put them together.  It's really hard to find some good examples for the eval board. Is there any official example projects from ST ?

Hello dear supporters,I had some issues setting up my STM32G0B1CET6N as USB Communication Device Class (Virtual Port COM). Clock Source for the USB is the internal "HSI48 RC" oscillator, designed for USB application.  What happened? I used the default USB Settings (default USB STMCube MX generated).I started debugging (step by step) and came to the MX_USB_Device_Init();function inside the main.c Then I open the Windows11 "Gerätemanager (Device Manger)" and the USB device always failed to get recognized. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I relaunched the debugger and this time I just klicked on the "Run" button. No step by step debugging this time. The STM32 gets recognized as a COM device without any problem. And the communication (sending data to the putty terminal) works without any problem. ---------------------------------

Hi all,I'm trying to use the I2C2 bus to read from a BNO055 IMU. I've already configured the I2C1 bus to be used by DCMI as I have a camera attached and can't reuse it since it is configured in Fast Mode Plus and the BNO055 can only handle up to 400kHz, and the I2C3 bus is used for the LDC screen, leaving only the I2C2 bus available. I wanted to know how to enable and interface with the I2C2 bus as it seems like there are no pins broken out for the I2C2 bus. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
