Hi Team,We have used LED1202 in our board where one LED driver is connected to Microprocessor and one LED driver is connected to MCU.We are seeing random LED channel damages (with LED driver which is connected to MCU) while device is in running state, and LED channel damage issue is random that any or all channels get damage which are connected to LEDs only. LED turns ON permanent which channel got damaged. We had debugged the operating voltage fluctuations, ground bounce effects but nothing happens during the LED channel failure. We have limited LED channel current to 6mA and using LED function as ON and OFF only. No PWM functionality os being used here.Could you please let us know what can be the root cause here behind LED channel damage?Thank you

Hi everyone,We're using the M95P32 page EEPROM and have encountered an issue where some devices stop responding after a period of normal operation. Initially, they function as expected, but after some time, communication fails.Specifically, after power-up, the first command we send is the JEDEC ID request. In the failing devices, this command consistently returns all zeros. We've also attempted to read the configuration and safety registers, but those return zeros as well. A software reset before sending the JEDEC command has no effect. This is an example of a failing JEDEC ID request (blue is MOSI, green is MISO and purple is CS)Interestingly, we discovered by chance that performing a quick power cycle—shutting down and immediately powering back up without allowing Vcc to fully drop to 0V—restores normal operation. This is an example of successful power up, you can see how the EEPROM responds in the green line. However, if Vcc is allowed to fully discharge before powering up again, the d

The new version of TouchGFX (V4.21.0, V4.21.1) displays the text of a Button With Label no more vertical centered. In the designer the text is shown correctly, but in the simulator and in the compiled controller application it is positioned too high.Is there a way to correct the position?Screenshot with TouchGFX 4.20.0Screenshot with TouchGFX 4.21.1

Hello, I am currently creating an inverter using STMC Board Designer, the MCU is STM32F407IGT6,the clock source is internal clock, here are some screenshots of my configuration, it was working fine until the inverter was generated successfully, and when I have everything ready to create the program, I get an error as shown in the picture below.I have version 6.4.0.I'm desperate to know why I'm getting this error, thanks.Best regards.{ "type": "inverter", "contentVersion": "1.0", "descVersion": 5, "name": "F407_72V300A_New", "PN": "F407_72V300A_New", "algorithmCompatibility": [ "FOC" ], "mcu": "STM32F407IGTx", "clockFrequency": 168, "motorDrives": [ { "name": "M1", "minRatedVoltage": 10, "maxRatedVoltage": 100, "maxRatedCurrent": 300, "features": [ { "type": "CurrentSensing", "name": "CurrentSensing", "tRise": 1, "hwVariants": [ { "signals": { "CURRENT_ICS_U": [ { "name": "PC2", "help": {}, "cost": 0 } ], "CURRENT_ICS_V": [ { "name": "PC3", "help": {},

After I select the project and download it, the ST BLE Toolbox (as shown in Figure 1) displays "Upload completed."However, after the Bluetooth restarts, it still shows "STM OTA", which means my application was not successfully downloaded to flash.I'm using the STM32WB55CGU6 chip, with FUS version v2.0, and ST BLE Toolbox v1.4.4.The steps I performed to convert the non-OTA project to OTA are as follows:In ble_conf.h, I added:#define BLE_CFG_OTA_REBOOT_CHAR 1 /**< REBOOT OTA MODE CHARACTERISTIC */I removed the following lines from SystemInit(void): //#if defined(USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS) // /* Configure the Vector Table location and offset address */ // SCB->VTOR = VECT_TAB_BASE_ADDRESS | VECT_TAB_OFFSET; //#endif /* USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS */ I modified stm32wb55xx_flash_cm4.sct, copying its contents directly from the official ST example at:BLE_HeartRate_ota scatter fileDid I miss any required steps that are causing the OTA upgrade to fail?

I have a design that I'm trying to bring up and program using the USB DFU capability. The board enumerates correctly in windows, but does not get into programming. It seems as though I have forgotten something, but don't know what to look for. I have checked the "Read Unprotect (MCU)" box. I have attached the verbose log of one cycle. What happens when I try to connect is shown there and after a bit a window pops up saying to turn off the power to my device. When I do, the cycle repeats! Thanks for any pointers...

Our product requires FIPS certification, and the chip is stm32u595. I found that the stm32 cortex-m33 core already has a library certified by the CAVP algorithm, but the version of the STM32CubeExpansion_Crypto-V4.2.0 library does not match the certified version. Where can I download the certified version 4.0.0 build1 ?Because the client and FIPS certification require code review, can you provide the source code?   Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program | CSRC Data brief - X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB - STM32 cryptographic library software expansion for STM32Cube

I am trying to drive a lc resonator from a h bridge. Frequency of the resonator changes when inductor is loaded. TIM15 creates the complimentary PWM for the H bridge. I need TIM2 to read the new frequency of the resonator so i can adjust the PWM frequency of TIM15. TIM2 will be reading a square wave.I tried this guide(and every other one I could find). I tried DMA. I tried interrupts. I even put a breakpoint inside the HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback. It didn't even get triggered.https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-use-the-input-capture-feature/ta-p/704161At this point i am not sure if my code is wrong or if there is an actual problem with the board. Would it be possible for someone to send me a code for TIM2 interrupt that is confirmed working or test my code on a stm32 that is confirmed good?I am questioning my sanity. The board programs and debugs just fine. cubeide or cubeprogrammer gives no error codes.here is all the edits I have done to my main.c file/* USER

SPI communication using DMA on the STM32H743.We have created a program for SPI communication using DMA, The first send/receive with HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA is successful. However, when the exact same process is executed afterwards, all received values are 0.The second send/receive with HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA is not successful.Does anyone know why this is happening?

Where are the header files in Project Explorer? I can open Application/User/main.c and see that it includes main.h, but it's nowhere to be found in the Project Explorer. If i right-click main.h in its includfe statement in main.c and select 'Open Declaration', it opens main.h. Hovering on the editor tab, I see it's in my project under 'Inc', but that folder does not show up in Project explorer, either. So I use File Explorer and find it in my project folder in the 'Inc' folder that does not appear in Project Explorer. I don't understand this; someone please explain it to me.Also, I want to add a header file, so I select File/New/Header File, and it opens a dialog box where I use the 'Browse...' button to select a home for it. The 'Inc' folder does not appear there, either. Where do I put my new header file? I'm totally at sea on this.I'm using:STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.18.1Build: 24813_20250409_2138 (UTC) Thanks!

How can it be, that the CMOX library implements `append` functions for hashes (like cmox_hash_append) but the equivalent for verification or signing of ECC algorithms does not exist? How should we check the signature of a 10 MB update package on a device which just has 512 kB RAM?We are using EDDSA, which already includes SHA-512 hashing. One workaround would be to sign the hash of the binary file, but that goes against the idea of EDDSA.

I am trying to add the NUCLEO-N657X0-Q (MB194-N657X0Q-C01) to the IMBootloader project, which currently uses the Legacy Classic USB device middleware. I ran into a problem where, after calling the HAL_PCD_Start() function, I receive an unexpected interrupt.   If I comment out the line USBx_DEVICE->DCTL &= ~USB_OTG_DCTL_SDIS; the issue no longer occurs.Exact position of line in the code:https://github.com/IMProject/IMBootloader/blob/add_nucleo-stm32n657x-q/Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32n6xx_ll_usb.c#L1152The full code is available in this branch:https://github.com/IMProject/IMBootloader/tree/add_nucleo-stm32n657x-q It can be built with a simple command: make nucleo_n657x0_q_ram Also attaching a video showing how the issue occurs. Any pointers to help save time would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello,I have a H7 design with multiple UART/USART used to communicate via RS485 drivers (XR3072).I have programmed kind of loopback test by connecting the A/B signals of two RS485 busses. For this I use 2 DMA channels for each UART, one for RX and one for TX.Test runs fine, but if I connect a probe to RX signal, I get an UART IRQ with frame error flag set.I found out that the RX output of the RS485 driver is tri-state during transmit, so this the source of the frame error. It can be solved using external or internal pull-up resistors. This is not the problem, just FYI. What puzzles me:First, I have no clue why this IRQ is fired at all. In my understanding, in order to fire an UART IRQ, the appropriate enable bits must be configured in CR1-3. In this case, only in CR1 the RE, TE and UE are set. Here is the content of CR1 and IRQ registers when the UART IRQ handler is fired:Second, to my surprise, the HAL IRQ handler simply does nothing, no error is thrown or error callback is run. We use the VL53L1X in one of our products and have been doing that for over 2+ years now. As this device is not easily solderable, we have been relying on the Chinese supply of breakout boards used in the hobby market.  Just recently we are facing range issues with entire lots of this sensor based boards. All of them exhibit range issues where the Sensor is unable to detect beyond 30 to 40cm. I thought it could be a calibration or offset issue. I've tried getting offset values using the 17% Gray sheets as recommended. Any help in this regard will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I am working on NUCLEO-H533RE board. I am checking all the configurations before start of my work. As attached below, The datasheets says that PKA is supported when i opened .ioc file, It is visible as greyout. I am not able to activate it. Even i configured the clock configurations for the board. I am not able to find documentation regarding H533RE. mostly it was written about H563 or H573 series. Could you please also help me out regarding the documents.

I'm using the Teseo-LIV3F module in my project, and I want to receive NMEA messages at a higher frequency than 1 Hz. Is there a command to set the message output rate to 500 ms?

Hello,I followed https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308 tutorial from the scratch to the end, including the Hello UDP part, and adding the "ETH CODE" code. However, I can't ping my board. After some debug, I found that I am locked in HAL_MspInit. I tried this on 2 eval boards, with same results. I do not have further ideas to try. Please find attached my projects. Also, I wanted to know if FreeRTOS is mandatory for a project using Ethernet ? If somebody have a "plug and play" project for STM32H757, I would be happy to try it out.Thank you very much,Matteo

Hi,I'm trying to write a simple firmware for M33 core to test PWM outputs with TIM8 on STM32MP257FEV-1 board. It is possible to generate output for channels TIM8_CH1, TIM8_CH3 and TIM8_CH4, but as soon as I try to generate complementary outputs (TIM8_CH1N, TIM8_CH3N, TIM8_CH4N) to any of these timer channels, processor gets into HALT state. By this I mean that I've tried to map 6 GPIO pins to 6 complementary channels, because I need my firmware to drive a three-phase motor in the future. I've tried to do it as simple as possible by looking at some similar examples for other processors (e.g using HAL_TIMEx_PWMN_Start function to start complementary channel and so on), since I haven't found anything else for this processor. I'm also pretty aware that in my case there are 3 cores (cores of interest are A35 Linux core and M33 which will run this firmware). It seems that I have problems with Resource Manager and acquiring pins for channel complements, but I used them in

I’m working with an STM32-based system where the RTC is running on the internal LSI. My goal is to maintain reasonable time accuracy (within a few seconds) while periodically receiving the correct world time over an external communication interface. To do this, I preset the expected LSI frequency and continuously calibrate it based on time updates I receive. This logic seems to be working well. However, I'm encountering an issue where the RTC alarm interrupt triggers unexpectedly after modifying the `PRER` (prescaler) register — even though the alarm is configured to trigger only once per minute.Below is the code I'm using to adjust the `PRER` value (executed from within the RTC alarm IRQ): hrtc.State = HAL_RTC_STATE_BUSY; __HAL_RTC_WRITEPROTECTION_DISABLE(&hrtc); status = RTC_EnterInitMode(&hrtc); if (status == HAL_OK) { hrtc.Instance->PRER = synchPrediv; hrtc.Instance->PRER |= (asynchPrediv << RTC_PRER_PREDIV_A_Pos); print("[RTC] - DR:%08X, TR:%08X\n", (hrt

Why there is no NUCLEO-WBA52CG projects in STM32CubeWBA?What caution should be taken when using STM32WBA52 in STM32CubeWBA?

Hi everyone! What is the benefit of setting the accelerometer ODR to 416.0f Hz when setting up the motion detection features? All motion detection features use this value. Why?An example would be the 6D Orientation detection:int32_t ISM330DHCX_ACC_Enable_6D_Orientation(ISM330DHCX_Object_t *pObj, ISM330DHCX_SensorIntPin_t IntPin) { /* ... */ /* Output Data Rate selection */ if (ISM330DHCX_ACC_SetOutputDataRate(pObj, 416.0f) != ISM330DHCX_OK) { return ISM330DHCX_ERROR; } /* ... */ }Why was this 416.0f Hz value chosen? I cannot find this in the driver documentation or anywhere else. Is this written down somewhere? Thanks!

We have purchased some LIS2DU12 and when scanning the QR code markings we see 78327KT603ES0YJ on some and 78327KT603EO0YZ on others. What is the difference? And how do we decode the QR code, didn't see anything on the datasheet? Thanks.

Hi.Does anyone know how to include header files in a .zip export of a project? This applies in particular to projects that have started life as a ST example project. These projects don't show header files in the Project Explorer. You have to use the Include Browser in order to open header files. I have to archive a project in a self contained way, so can't use any of the online source management services. Preferably the archive should include all the files needed to build the project and no more. The actual project is based on the STM32H573I-DK_aws_eth example project. All the files shown in Project Explorer are actually resources linked to files in the AWS package. This makes it impracticable to select the necessary files using the operating system file system. I can't attach the exported file for this project, so I've attached one for a simple ST example project which shows the same problem. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello everyone,I'm facing an issue with jumping from my application to the bootloader on an STM32H747 microcontroller. I'm using a 7-inch Riverdi display and have developed graphical interfaces using TouchGFX. My application, which I've built using only the M7 core (disabling the M4 core) and FreeRTOS for task management and graphics, has its main file structured as man1.c attached.I've also created a bootloader program with the following structure:  The bootloader works perfectly when the STM32H747xx_FLASH.ld file contains the following instruction:Assolutamente!
