Hello ST experts,I have a weird experience with UART communication between two STM32G4 microcontrollers. MCU1 sends 10 bytes to MCU2 via UART. Both UARTS are configured with 9600 Baud rate with DMA in circular mode. The Problem arises when the MCU1 is turned on, it sends 11 bytes which the first byte is 0x00 in case I need only 10 bytes to be received. Can you help me in this issue?Best,Davood.

Hello,In the AEK-POW-BMSCHAIN example code, I see high-level APIs like: AEK_POW_BMS63EN_GetModule() AEK_POW_BMS63EN_init()But in my AutoDevKit installation, only low-level chain APIs (AEK_POW_BMS63CHAIN_*) are available.Could you clarify:Are the high-level AEK_POW_BMS63EN APIs included in the public AutoDevKit package? If not, are they only available via partner/NDA packages?Should regular users implement high-level functionality using only the low-level APIs?Thanks!

Hello,While testing FOC operation using Hall sensors in MCSDK, I encountered an issue that I’d like to discuss. When attempting low-speed BLDC control (around 100-200 RPM) with FOC, the electrical angle updates discontinuously at 60-degree intervals, as shown in the graph below. If I first apply a high-speed/high-torque command so that HALL can interpolate the electrical angle and then switch to low-speed control, the problem is resolved. However, this approach becomes challenging when the motor is under heavy load.Is there any method or idea to make the motor run smoothly at low speed directly from a standstill without going through this intermediate process?Additionally, it seems that in 6-step control, users can only specify a speed reference. Is there any way to set a current (torque) reference without modifying the core MCSDK code? If this feature is not currently supported, I’m curious whether there are plans to enable 6-step control via current reference in the future(in case som

As the subject says. searches over many hours have resulted in several different ways to do this, none of which work. The CLOSEST ive gotten to a reaction out of a textbox outsode of some event is to break the rules, and *** with the autogenerated code. All that resulted in was getting the box to change to "??" which as crazy as it sounds, progress, because I have yet to figure out what methods to call to do this seemingly simple thing. From the documentation: touchgfx::Unicode::strncpy(textArea1Buffer, "string", TEXTAREA1_SIZE); textArea1.resizeToCurrentText(); // optional, will resize the box to fit the text if it is too small textArea1.invalidate(); This does absolutely nothing. Again, from the documentation:  // With int/double/UnicodeChar* touchgfx::Unicode::snprintf(textArea1Buffer,TEXTAREA1_SIZE,"My numbers %i %i", my_var_1, my_var_2 ); // With float touchgfx::Unicode::snprintfFloat(textArea1Buffer,TEXTAREA1_SIZE,"My float %f", my_var_float ); textArea1.in

Hello, Microsoft has updated their Visual Studio Marketplace Terms of Use to bar vscode forks from using extensions from their marketplace. I'm currently using the Cursor IDE, which has recently switched over to open-vsx.org for their extension marketplace and thus, I no longer have access to STM32 for Visual Studio Code extensions. Are there any plans to cross-publish the official STM32 for Visual Studio Code extension over to open-vsx.org?

In my embedded software project, I need to write a bootloader. I wrote an application code for the bootloader and testing, and everything is fine so far, but the delay function in the application code is not working. I think the reason for this is the Vector Table. I wrote the vector table to the RAM address, but it didn't work at all. It jumps to the application code, turns on the LED, but does not toggle. I would really appreciate your help. (STM32f030c8t6 board)#define APP_START_ADDRESS 0x08006000 // User application start address #define APP_START_ADDR 0x08006000 #define SRAM_BASE_u 0x20000000 #define VECT_TABLE_SIZE 0xC0 // 48 vectors * 4 bytes void JumpToApplication(void) { // 1. Dsiable all interrupts __disable_irq(); // 2. Deinit HAL and RCC (optional if bootloader did init) HAL_DeInit(); HAL_RCC_DeInit(); // 3. Copy vector table memcpy((void*)SRAM_BASE_u, (void*)APP_START_ADDR, VECT_TABLE_SIZE); // 4. Remap SRAM to 0x00000000 SYSCFG->CFGR1 &= ~SYSCFG_CFGR1_

I am designing a system that will utilize the dual bank feature of the STM32 devices to make a robust system for OTA updates. I am currently using a STM32U545 for my project and have questions about writing to the FLASH_OPTR to change the SWAP_BANK bit.My setup has an external microcontroller connected to my STM32U545 that interfaces through UART and has control of the BOOT0 pin and the RST pin of the STM32 device. I was confused by the statement in the AN3155 pg. 20 when it talked about the Write Memory command and said "If the Write Memory command is issued to the option byte area, all bytes are erased before writing the new values, and at the end of the command the bootloader generates a systemreset to take into account the new configuration of the option bytes". What does it mean by all bytes are erased? My current plan was to use the read memory command and read the register FLASH_OPTR at 0x4002 2040 and then read bit 20 of that register(SWAP_BANK bit) then perform an operati

Hi,I'm working on a new PCBA design and it will require firmware update over the air of a STM32H563.The ST67W will be used in access point mode at all times. Is it possible to use the ST67W to update a target MCU? Is it done using the built-in bootloader? Is UART or SPI used for it? Can I also update the ST67W's firmware over the air as well?I'm in the PCBA design phase and I want to ensure that all of the required data lines are connected properly, as well as the BOOT0 pin.Any example would be helpful as well. Thanks,Étienne Machabée

Hello ST Community,I’m developing a custom external loader for STM32CubeProgrammer where the STM32 acts as a bridge to program an external MCU (not external flash). The STM32 uses UART5 as a debug port and also as the communication interface to the external MCU.In testing, I see CubeProgrammer calling Write() repeatedly with non‑sector‑aligned sizes and addresses that don’t start at sector boundaries. Sample output from my loader:Starting... Address: 0x90000000 Size: 0x0003C700 Size is not sector aligned:0x0003C700 Address: 0x9003C700 Size: 0x0003C700 Size is not sector aligned:0x0003C700 Address is not start of sector:0x9003C700 ... We repair Fire Alarm Panels, and I have a known good chip PSD813F1A that I can read and save the data but when I program the blank device it will program but then gives me a verify error and it doesn't function in the panel. I'm using the Logical devices XPRO programmer with the proper adapter DX2052 (PLCC). It is listed in the program's library so that's not the issue. Not sure if there's a source to properly program this device or do I need special programming software and programmer to accomplish this. Any help will be amazing!! Thanks for allowing me post here.

Hello,With the latest release of the extension (3.6.4), the pre-release version (based on bundle manager) was moved to be the official release, thus making CLT obsolete. My original launch file (based on CLT) does not work anymore, it included a Debug script, an Attach script, and a build+flash-only script. To create a compatible launch file, I used the preset script - "STM32Cube: STM32 Launch ST-Link GDB Server" by using vscode's "create a launch.json file" option. This does work for debugging, but creates a few issues-a. Doe's not contain an "Attach" option - I could not find any help on the options for configuring the "stlinkgdbtarget" script type.b. The "Memory Inspector" which is part of the extension pack, does not work anymore with the generated launch file. I get a "No debugger attached" while debugging.c. The vscode reset debug button does not reset the core anymore - it re-flashes the device. Can anyone help me create a launch file that will contain these features based on

Hello,Where can I view the commands sent and received from the ST67W611M1 using the SPI and UART? The datasheet doesn't provide this information. I couldn't find any other documents describing the command system on the ST67W611M1 page.

Hi, In my UI project I need a vertucal boxProgress while all available backgrouds and images are horizontal while w&h are greyed out. When I create a custom background, the progress bar is not working. Same for circleProgress (size control). Can you help please.

I am trying to configure STM32 Nucleo-64 G070RB Board as Modbus RTU Master to send commands to a slave and receive response. I have connected MAX485 - TTL to RS485 board. Powered with 5V, DE and RE connected to USART1 DE Pin. Board's A and B are connected to slave (VFD) at a distance of less than 2 meters.I am able to send commands and slave works fine. The response from salve received is not echo of the command as expected. UART reports Parity error and Noise error :1h and 2h => 3h.When the slave was connected to PC and same commands were sent using QModBus, slave works the same way (as expected) and response received is correct (echo of the command).UART1 configuration: huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 9600; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_9B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_EVEN; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVER

I'm attempting MIFARE communication using the ST25R3916 microcontroller, but the NT does not return during the AUTH communication. I successfully obtained the UID, and after tag selection, the SAK returned as 0x08. However, after sending 06, 01, the CRC error in the 0x1C register is set. The NT should then return from the tag, but not a single byte is returned. The AUTH sequence is described below.DIRECT_COMMAND_SEND(0xDB); //Clear FIFOREG_WRITE(0x22,0b00000000); //TX BYTE Number(MSB)REG_WRITE(0x23,0b00010000); //TX BYTE Number(LSB)BSS=0; //SS=0__delay_us(10);SPI_send(0b10000000); //FIFO write commandSPI_send(0x60); //FIFO data1SPI_send(0x01); //FIFO data2BSS=1; //SS=1__delay_us(10);DIRECT_COM(0xC4); //FIFO Transmit With CRCAfter this, a CRC error occurs, and NT doesn't return a single byte.Does anyone know why?

Hello!I am facing a problem when trying to connect to a remote server using NetXDuo and MQTT. We have a cloud service with which we want to establish a connection so we can send some data. I am basing my project on the example from the STMH573 MQTT Client. The exact problem I am facing is that when trying to establish the connection using the username and password, and the certificates an error occurs, when trying to secure connect. I get these two TSL alerts - alert level is 0x2 and alert value 0x28 (secure connection failed to be established). Using TLSv1.2.What I did:Converting CA certificate to the header file format openssl x509 -in ca.crt -outform DER -out ca.der # Then convert into the header file format using xxd.exe xxd.exe -i ca.der > ca.cert.hConverting client certificate to the header file format openssl x509 -in client.crt -outform DER -out client.der # Then converting it into the header file format xxd.exe -i client.der > client.cert.hConverting client k

Hi team,I am trying to run BMSCCTX using Pi as MCU. 1. I read the L9963 E and L9963 T datasheets. i found that any 8 bit message wakes up the BMS , i tried sending sample messages like 8 bit zeros and was able to turn on d2 led of bms.if the wake up is done correct, bms should return a default frame of 0x0000000016. But i am not getting it and after 1 min it goes to sleep mode. when i run a code, D2, D8 and D9 lights up, but D7 - for spi is not blinking.2. I also have one more doutb, inside the bms, the L9963 T converts 4 pin spi to 2 pin ISOp and ISOm pins which goes to L9963E as ISOLp_SDI and ISOLm_NCS.Does the output of the L9963 E comes from the same? as it is bidirectional. Or ISOHp and ISOHm are the output pins for L9963E?? 3. If I am using only one BMSCCTX, to get the replies from E should i loopback connect ISOL pins with ISOH pins?4. In AEK-MCU-C4MINI sample projects i see the pins-TXEN, DIS, BNE, ISOAm, ISOFreq are connected as GPIOswhereas i am using Pi and ha

Hello,I have not found the maximum TRACECLK frequency of the STM32H725 in the documentation. It looks like it is generated by PLL1 with flexible division ratios and thus can attain values that are not realistic for I/Os (100 to 220 MHz for Speed 11 and 2.7 V ≤ VDD ≤ 3.6 V as per p.165 of DS13311).Is the maximum TRACECLK set by the maximum I/O output frequency or is it restricted to another value? Regards,Bernd

This morning I updated my CubeIDE to 1.19 from 1.18.  I assume MX updated too... don't know how to check the MX version. After updating and then opening and migrating my project to 1.19, my OCTOSPI settings and the "octospi.c" file were gone.  When I try to set things back the way they were in 1.18, there is no longer an option for "Quad SPI -- MULTIPLEXED --".  My circuit has a flash IC and a RAM IC sharing the bus on Data [3:0] (Port1 IO[3:0] -- MULTIPLEXED --).  This has been working when using IDE 1.18, but now I'm stuck. How do I setup the new MX to multiplex OCTOPSPI1 and OCTOSPI2 ?

Hello, I am reading 6.3.30 LCD-TFT controller (LTDC) section to interface with DS90C385A (LCD) or ADV7125 (VGA) Assume that LCD Clock (pixel clock) polarity is set to high. Ideally, we can expect rising edge of clock aligned to the middle of the data.  But I can see there is a more time for setup and less time for hold. Refer the figure 46 of datasheet.      Note: I am going configure pixel clock low for DS90C385A (LCD) and high for ADV7125 (VGA).  Also, I need to ensure HW work till 150MHz clock.

Hi,I am using STM32H56x with OEMiROT_Boot example project, and I use MCUBOOT_SWAP_USING_SCRATCH to install application images, is there an API like boot_set_confirmed( ) can used by secure applicaiton code, or a confirmation flag in SRAM like STM32H7?Thank you,Snaku

Hi team,I was looking through the steps in the configuration of the sample project: AEK-MCU-C4MINI- AEK_POW_BMSCCTX_GUI_Application for discovery.i made my configurations of the cells as per my project and after allocating the setup, it shows the hardwar connections too. Then it shows to edit the pins in pin map editor which i didn't understand. It says to unassign the allocated pins and copy contents and paste but i didnt understand why we do this and how to do this.( From Step 31 of UM3185 manual). Can someone explain this in detail for me to understand... Thank you.
