To realize carkey function, what conditions do card readers need and what aspects of hardware will be measured?

I am trying to implement peak current mode using STM32G474. I implemented the code using direct register manipulation for high-speed interrupt operation. I confirmed that a sawtooth wave is generated using the following code, and that variables can be adjusted in real-time using the volatile type. When I used a separate project to output the sawtooth wave purely on its own, it worked correctly. However, when I integrated this code into the PCM project, the RST (Reset) works fine, but the sawtooth slope is not visible (The slope is visible when the same logic is used for simple sawtooth output). What could be the reason for this? Also, would implementation using HAL be possible?

Hello community, I am working with the VL53L0X Time-of-Flight distance sensor and the official ST API driver (VL53L0X API package). My hardware platform is: STM32H747I-DISCO board (CM7 core) I2C3 used to interface the VL53L0X FreeRTOS running on CM7 Display controlled using TouchGFX I copied the VL53L0X API (platform.c, platform.h, vl53l0x_api., vl53l0x_platform. etc.) into my STM32 project. Issue:  When I call any API functions Inside a FreeRTOS task, the code does not proceed beyond the first API call. The task appears to get stuck, and my LCD (TouchGFX) stops updating as well. When I comment out these VL53L0X API functions, FreeRTOS and the LCD work normally.  FYI I have attached Latest API

I am developing I2S on the NUCLEO-L433RC-P development board using a BT401 bluetooth audio receiver and MAX98357A I2S amplifier.I need to pass the I2S audio data through the STM32L4333 (refer to diagram below).  I have done this before using a Microchip dsPIC33E but this has both DATA IN and DATA OUT pins for I2S.Whereas the STM32 only has a single DATA pin (SD), so it can only be DATA IN or DATA OUT.Does this mean I cannot use the STM32 to pass through I2S data ?

When generating code im getting two erros:In timer_if.c:in LoraMac.c: I've been trying to look for some answers but i couldn't really find something useful. If someone can help i'd really appreciate it.Regards.

Greetings,I'm making a USB PD Sink device with a STM32G483 & TCPP01-M12, that will be able to take up to 15V@3A.I started implementing USB PD functionality using STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0 & FreeRTOS. Step by step. The current config is mostly stock, with only a custom BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUSGetVoltage(uint32_t instance, uint32_t *pVoltage) implementation that reads VBUS voltage & writes it in mV to pVoltage. At init(), firstly MX_USBPD_Init() is called, after that, I'm applying power to TCPP01-M12 & disabling the Dead Battery resistors. Current FreeRTOS config: CMSIS_V2, 16000 bytes heap with heap_4 scheme, NEWLIB_REENTRANT enabledCurrent USBPD config: Full Stack, TIM2 timer, NVIC, DMA set, 2 fixed PDOs, 5V@3A & 9V@3A. Everythink else in Stack Port 0 config is not supported (except SOP). If I understand correctly, the stack should work as follows:At the cable attachment, the source presents 5V on VBUS and sends its capabilities to the sink

Hi all,I am on the lookout for an STM32 microcontroller for a USB Device design where the order of USB D+ and D- pins can be "reversed". What I mean by this is that in most ST MCUs I have reviewed the USB pins are arranged so that D+ is above, and D- below it, as exemplified by the following screenshot from CubeMX and a random MCU:This arrangement makes perfect sense e.g. for SMT USB Micro-B Female connectors as the pin arrangement of such components often nicely aligns with this order. However, what I want to do is use an SMT USB-A Male connector on a PCB board, such as in this run-the-mill USB Flash Memory example form Kingston:When a male connector is used, the pins of the connector are often aligned so that I would have to "cross" the wires in order to match the arrangement that ST MCUs expect.I am aware that I could place the MCU on the bottom side of the PCB and the USB connector to the top side but I specifically do not want to do this, mainly due to the PCB-A supplier I am worki

Following the directions in https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/boards/st/stm32n6570_dk/doc/index.html images signed using STM32_SigningTool_CLI version 2.20.0 run OK on the board. However, after upgrading to STM32CubeProgrammer 2.21.0, images no longer run (I believe the signature check is now failing on the device).Reverting back to 2.20.0 fixes the signing issue on Windows, macOS, and Linux for the STM32N6570-DK board. However, this is a blocker for developers using the Nucleo N657X0-Q board on Windows & Ubuntu because 2.20.0 has a bug which causes west flash to fail for this board on both Windows & Ubuntu. This west flash bug is fixed for Windows & Ubuntu in 2.21.0, but we can't use that version due to the signing issue in 2.21.0.

Heyho, question about FDCAN and repeating / timed transmission of the same messages:(this is neither about TT CAN nor auto re-transmission, but e.g. for messages which need to be sent every 100 ms repeatedly and "manually")After the first setting of the TX buffer or TX FIFO, and after the first successful transmission, is the TX buffer (incl. the 2 "control" words) somehow altered / changed? If not, can the same message simply be sent again by setting the corresponding bit in the register TXBAR ?

Hi Guys, I am completely new in the world of ST Microcontroller. I have worked with PIC Microcontrollers using MikroC Compiler. After studying various tutorials on this topic, I am getting it slowly. While going through  code of generation of PWM, I came across a function " HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_1);" which, I assume, starts PWM. My question, Is it a library function? If so, how can it be accessed. Incidentally it is stated that I have installed STM32 CubeMX and STM32 Cube IDE.

Trying to report a minor issue with published development board design files. The files fail to import into KiCad on Linux with a fairly cryptic error message. After much digging I discovered that the Altium project file has: ```[Document1]DocumentPath=Project_Overview.SchDoc```While the actual file on disk in zip archive is "Project_overview.SchDoc" the difference in capitalization between "Overview" and "overview" causes the files to not open correctly on Linux (which is case sensitive about file paths), while working on Windows. I suspect someone re-named the file at somepoint without fixing all references to it.Re-naming the file, or editing the .PrjPcb file fixes the issue, but this is non-obvious.Specific board: https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-h753zi.htmlSpecific download link: https://www.st.com/resource/en/board_manufacturing_specification/mb1364_bdp.zip

I can use stellar studio to flash the new software when start a debug session, but I want a separate tool to just flash the new software just like Stm32CubeProgrammer.Does Stellar team have made such tools?

Dear STM Community,Over the past while, I have steadily (and successfully) progressed through many STM32/TouchGFX tutorials - with the ultimate aim of sending/receiving data over an RS485 link. Most of these tutorials are produced by Controllerstech. All has been going well until one particular tutorial.I am using the very latest software:TouchGFX Designer 4.26.0STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0STM32CubeMX 6.16.0When I build the design in STM32CubeIDE, I get the error message:make: *** No rule to make target 'C:/Users/XXX/Desktop/TouchGFX-projects/TouchGFX-UART-Control/TouchGFX', needed by 'Utilities/jpeg_utils.o'. Stop."make -j16 all" terminated with exit code 2. Build might be incomplete. One thing I have noted is that this directory doesn't exist:          C:/Users/XXX/Desktop/TouchGFX-projects/TouchGFX-UART-Control/TouchGFXCould this be a path length truncation - and hence the error I have spent days trying to drill down to why this error appears.I have loo

All clock setup and tracing enable checkbox checked and port0 selected but still no SWO printf debug messages in CubeIDE debugger.  Further research led to the SWO pin function (PB3) that deliveres the trace data from the board to the debugger. However Blackpill's SWD header only has four pins GND,Vcc,CLK,DIO, enough for firmware flashing, manual memory inspection but I fear not for SWO tracing .Is my "analysis" correct, that the stock SWD header is per design not capable of SWO tracing?ST-Link V2 only offers one additional pin (besides NRST) named SWIM on its 10-pin connector.I assume that is not where PB3 ought be connected to, correct?

HiI'm trying to make a text that gets bigger automatically with smooth animation. Is there any way to make it happen using touchgfx?I tried, but I couldn't find a good way to implement it.I tried to make two typed text (one bigger, one smaller), but switching these two seems too unnatural and awkward. Is there any way to dynamically change font size with animation?

Hello!I am trying to get an MQTT project to work, but having some issues. At some points randomly the program stops and does not respond to the remote server anymore. In hopes of figuring it out I tried to enable stack checking from ThreadX settings from CubeMX, and generated the code. BUT, whenever the stack checking was disabled, DNS was able to retrieve the IP address always. Now, it fails every time. The function "nx_dns_host_by_name_get" is called from the begging of SNTP thread. After calling the mentioned function, the return status is NX_DNS_QUERY_FAILED (0xA3). I have the DNS set up as to retry 3 times with a timeout of 10 seconds.Checking from WireShark I can see that the device did send out the query to get the IP address, and the router answered, but for some reason the packet was not received/saved on the device side. After that I get 3 different ARP packets from the router, which is trying to identify my device, but no responses. Finally, 2 more attempts are made by t

Hi,We're planning to integrate a file system with the VENC_SDCard example for the STM32N6x7:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6/tree/main/Projects/STM32N6570-DK/Applications/VENC/VENC_SDCardWe found Revision 3 of UM1721 Developing applications on STM32Cube™ with FatFs dated February 2019 and were wondering if that's the most recent revision of the document?https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um1721-developing-applications-on-stm32cube-with-fatfs-stmicroelectronics.pdfWill

I am working with the Nucleo-STM32F753ZI board and using the internal OPAMP peripheral. The supply is 3.3 V, and according to the datasheet the OPAMP output should swing close to the rails, but in my case the maximum output I can get is only around 2.4 V.Has anyone faced this issue on STM32F7 series? Is there any configuration, calibration, or internal routing limitation that restricts the OPAMP output range on this board?Any guidance on how to achieve the full output swing (near 3.3 V) would be helpful.

Hello Team,I am trying to add CMSIS FreeRtos to empty project. But I can see that .ioc file is not generated under my project.I have also gone through the posts who have encountered the similar issue. but didn't get the resolution. While creating the empty project. There is no option for selecting Stm32 cube project or empty project. attaching the snippet for your reference. After creating the project successfully, I am getting the below build warningwarning: #warning "FPU is not initialized, but the project is compiling for an FPU. Please initialize the FPU before use." [-Wcpp]So, I request you to guide me to resolve this issue.I am using the Stm32CubeIDE: - V2.0.0 Thanks,Sagar

I've set up my STM32U5A9J-DK to use ThreadX and connect to my PC via USBX and Audio Class.I'm correctly see the Audio Device on my PC and I can easily stream audio to it. The only thing is that, for some reason, the callback for new frame done is not fired audio_stream_parameter[0].ux_device_class_audio_stream_parameter_callbacks.ux_device_class_audio_stream_change = USBD_AUDIO_PlaybackStreamChange; audio_stream_parameter[0].ux_device_class_audio_stream_parameter_callbacks.ux_device_class_audio_stream_frame_done = USBD_AUDIO_PlaybackStreamFrameDone;The strage thing is that USBD_AUDIO_PlaybackStreamChange is correctly calledVOID USBD_AUDIO_PlaybackStreamChange(UX_DEVICE_CLASS_AUDIO_STREAM *audio_play_stream, ULONG alternate_setting) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USBD_AUDIO_PlaybackStreamChange */ /* Do nothing if alternate setting is 0 (stream closed). */ if (alternate_setting == 0) { return; } BufferCtl.state = PLAY_BUFFER_OFFSET_UNKNOWN; /* Start reception (stream opened).

When attempting to initialize a single GPIO EXTI as disabled, the generated code still enables the interrupt. I did notice that if I uncheck all of the EXTI lines, then none of them are enabled in the generated code. So it seems it's all or nothing. Is this the expected behavior?Thanks,FrankThis:Generates: /* EXTI interrupt init*/ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI0_IRQn, 5, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI0_IRQn);   HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI2_IRQn, 6, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI2_IRQn);   HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI3_IRQn, 6, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI3_IRQn);   HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI4_IRQn, 6, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI4_IRQn);However, this:Generates: /* EXTI interrupt init*/ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI0_IRQn, 5, 0); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI2_IRQn, 6, 0); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI3_IRQn, 6, 0); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI4_IRQn, 6, 0);

  I'm using an ov2640 camera. When I use HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_CONTINUOUS, (uint32_t)camBuf0, (CAM_W * CAM_H) / 2);, HAL_DCMI_FrameEventCallback is called, but when I use HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_SNAPSHOT, (uint32_t)camBuf0, (CAM_W * CAM_H) / 2);, HAL_DCMI_FrameEventCallback is never called. Why is this happening? Below are the relevant settings. I'm using an STM32H743 MCU.   static void MX_DCMI_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN DCMI_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END DCMI_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN DCMI_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END DCMI_Init 1 */ hdcmi.Instance = DCMI; hdcmi.Init.SynchroMode = DCMI_SYNCHRO_HARDWARE; hdcmi.Init.PCKPolarity = DCMI_PCKPOLARITY_RISING; hdcmi.Init.VSPolarity = DCMI_VSPOLARITY_LOW; hdcmi.Init.HSPolarity = DCMI_HSPOLARITY_LOW; hdcmi.Init.CaptureRate = DCMI_CR_ALL_FRAME; hdcmi.Init.ExtendedDataMode = DCMI_EXTEND_DATA_8B; hdcmi.Init.JPEGMode = DCMI_JPEG_DISABLE; hdcmi.Init.ByteSelectMode = DCMI_BSM_ALL; hdcm

Hi, @krastThe readme for the VENC_SDCard_ThreadX examplehttps://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6/blob/main/Projects/STM32N6570-DK/Applications/VENC/VENC_SDCard_ThreadX/README.mdstates:"The output is raw since no file system is used for now"but the first slide of the STM32N6 demo workshop - 11 Video encoder (VENC) in practice workshophttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25lEF4GgN8Msays that this example uses a FAT32 file system.I was wondering if there might be an error in the readme where it states "The output is raw since no file system is used for now"?Thank you very much for these examples - they're very valuable. Will

Hello,I've recently created an External Loader to be used on a TouchGFX project (H563 with SPI LCD and SPI external flash). When I use this loader in Cube Programmer, it programs the processor and SPI flash, and runs as expected. So now I want to add it into my project in CubeIDE. Normally I would find the External Loaders under the Debugger tab (between SWV and Misc) but this seems to be missing. Is there a way to enable this?(This project was created un der CubeIDE 2.0.0, but this section also is missing in projects created by previous versions. Example projects created from TouchGFX does have this section).Any ideas?PP22
