I seem to be unable to set the time more than once after reset. Here is a way to reproduce my problem:Create a new CubeMX project with the RTC enabledEdit the MSP init function the following way:...After the time and date are set by MSP init...change the hour in the sTime structure, e.g. sTime.Hours = 0x09;...and then issue HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BCD);...and then issue HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BCD);run the code in the debugger and break in the new readTime call from step 6note that the value of hour has not changedOr insert this code in your main() function:/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ if (1) { RTC_TimeTypeDef tm; HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &tm, RTC_FORMAT_BCD); tm.Hours = 0x06; /* assuming you initialized to something other than 6 */ HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &tm, RTC_FORMAT_BCD); HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &tm, RTC_FORMAT_BCD); /* tm.Hours does not change to 6 */ } /* USER CODE END 2 */Reading the reference manual, t

Hello,I have two nearly identical boards and I need to connect them over USB.One possiblle way is using "Virtual Com Port", but haven't found anything about how to implement it on host device. Is there any example of doing this or any other maybe good alternative for this connection.I don't need really high speed, few bytes every 100msec...Thanks in advance,regards,Bully.

Hello,I'm following this great tutorial from here :https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/board-bring-up/how-to/03-display-internal/and I can't get past this step. Screen is blank and nothing happens... I have this screen :ER-TPC050A2-1 5?Capacitive Touch Panel with Controller , 800x(RGB)x480 Dots I've setup framebuffer in internal RAM, but I'm not sure what to put inLTDC settings in CubeMX, because I don't have data on front/back porch.It's chinese screen and this data is not specified in short datasheet that I have.I also cannot determine what would be the apropriate clock setting on MCU for screen to work.What can I do ?Is there any procedure that I maybe set "safe" values or are there any recomendation with what values to experiment ? Any other advice ?This is my first project in this area and I must be missing something obvious...Thanks in advance,Rob.

 If it can, which pin on ST-Link/V2 should I connect to the last pin on Steval-Smartag1(which is said to be connected to USART2_TX)? Thank you!

I tried to programm STEVAL-SMARTAG1 with sample software provided on the webpage (https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32-ode-function-pack-sw/fp-sns-smartag1.html) version: V3.0.0I used STM32 ST-LINK Utility and STM32 Nucleo for programming.I tried both .bin files and software for Keil. In both cases I have issues. There is no error during build or debugging.In the app graphs not working but I "energy harvesting" feature,changing sensors or sampling works correctly. Sometimes after few writes in the row orange LED starts flashing (indicates error).I use Android to read the tag.Is there anything I'm doing wrong?Thanks,Marta

I'm doing something very similar, and using the steval-smartag1 as a jumping off point. I'd like to be able to use the UART as a second SPI device, but I'm concerned that doing that would interfere with the debug interface.On a related subject, can the UART, in synchronous mode, be used as a 3 wire SPI? It doesn't appear so, but I'd love confirmation.Thanks!

Hi,I am using ST25DV04 discovery kit.I have used the GUI menu on the Kit to put the Tag in FTM mode to transfer picture.I am using another reader to read the picture.The flow I am following is as follows:Discover the NFC IC.Ask the IC for message length using ABh command.I am of impression that as the NFC Tag is already ready for FTM I should not need to make any other configurations. Am I correct in making that assumption?It is also worth nothing that the read operation does not return any error flag and that makes the returned value 00 01.But the problem is that this does not seem right as other Read Configuration commands (0xA0) for GPO, MB_WDG, MB_MODE also return the same behavior i.e 00 01.After presenting the system default password of 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00,I have tried first updating the register with new value and then reading back, both of which dont report an error but upon read back the register value remains unchanged.Please help me out with this.Thanks

Hello I am trying to use Touch GFX. In CubeMX I installed the related software pack:When I open the additional software part there is no option I can enable Touch GFX, it is simply empty:How can I enable it from CubeMX? Thank you beforehand.

hi.how to update screen such as text,clock or ... in another rtos task in main.c file ?

In my opinion, the framebuffer lock is used to prevent the mutual exclusion of the framebuffer, but touchgfx itself runs in a single task, so is this lock used to prevent the simultaneous access of touchgfx software rendering and dma2d rendering? There are some problems in using this lock on my project. Can I remove this lock?

When I run the openamp image through linux command prompt, the application working fine. The RPMSG devices is created successfully.But when I've tried to run it from uboot, it stuck at MX_OPENAMP_Init(). This should be ok because I assume linux isn't running yet. After I've tried to delay the application for one minute (assuming linux is booted up properly), it still stuck there.I need a very-fast M4 booting, with RPMSG feature (ok to be delayed).Hence it must be run from U-Boot. Is this kind of requirement possible?Please help.

I understand the simulator doesn't know about GPIO and so on. That being said, if one wanted to manipulate the hardware from the UI actions (say, set an LED), what's the best way to do that?Two ideas I have: 1) Use the preprocessor to comment out any code that won't run during simulation 2) Pass data two and from the main tasks via variables that are monitored on another thread. What is suggested? As is, including the HAL libraries doesn't work without manually mangling the makefiles.

Posted on February 01, 2018 at 21:39Hello!The HAL CAN driver for the STM32F4 got reworked lately (december 2017). I try to port my code from the old to the new drivers (compatibility break). There is a brief driver description in the update history but it would be also very helpful to get some example code to speed up porting ;-). I did look up the Cube STM32F4 sample codes but it seems all the CAN samples got deleted (not yet developed?).... Also the HAL description is still version 5 and the new API is not yet worked in. Correct, or did I miss anything?Cheers, Stefan

I am trying to write a custom bootloader. I have compiled both bootloader and application binaries and concatenated them in the makefile. When I flash the device with the binary (via ST-Link) my application is not booting up.1) I suspect the issue is with incorrectly setting the location of SCB->VTOR. If my application starts at address 0x8002000 what is the correct location of the application VTOR? 2) I suspect the issue could also be with incorrect concatenation of the .bin files (i.e. padding the application binary). I have posted the code which I used to concatenate the files. Is this the correct way to do so? 3) Is there a way for me to debug what is exactly wrong? Its difficult because I cannot go into debug mode with the concatenated binary.Appreciate your time.My bootloader memory config is as follows: // In bootloader.ld   MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 160K BOOT (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 8K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8002000, LENGTH

Hi,I've bought a ST MKI179V1 board to interface via I2C with a Nucelo-L433RC . Furthermore, I'm using ST oficial drivers to MEMS sensors. The problem is when I try to read the register it always return 0. I've already made a lot of tests and I can't discover the problem. For me it looks to be so simple but I'm not makinng this work.I let you my schematic: And my simplified code:Field definitions;static uint8_t whoamI; static int32_t platform_read(void *handle, uint8_t reg, uint8_t *bufp, uint16_t len);Read Function:static int32_t platform_read(void *handle, uint8_t reg, uint8_t *bufp, uint16_t len) { HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(handle, LIS2DW12_I2C_ADD_L, reg, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_16BIT, bufp, len, 1000); return 0; }Main Function;int main(void){ stmdev_ctx_t dev_ctx; dev_ctx.write_reg = platform_write; dev_ctx.read_reg = platform_read; dev_ctx.handle = &hi2c1;   MX_I2C1_Init(); ... lis2dw12_device_id_get(&dev_ctx, &whoamI); if (whoamI != LIS2DW12_ID){ // Device not found } ...

Hi, I am synchronizing two timers, actually already succeed but I was stuck two days because the trigger output event TRGO of TIM1 was connected to OC4REF (and CCR4 was accordingly set).With this configuration I didn't receive a pulse in the slave trigger input, but when I select TRGO = OC1 and I set my value in CCR1 it worked.I also tried with OC1REF, OC2REF and on.My question is, what is the difference between TRGO in compare pulse (OC1) and in OCxREF?I am using STM32G474REThanks!! hi, i have a touchGFX app working smoothly with some business logic on other tasks; that's all good and well.now some screens have to show frequent data from biz logic, and others not. so i'd like to make the biz logic controller aware of the screen currently on display.i could easily put on every screen "setupScreen()" an action to push to Model and then to the "other task" the id of the screen currently on display..BUT i really believe there should already be a "callback" for the Model object to be notified when a new Screen is being displayed (with some kind of ID.. i suppose there's an ENUM of all the Screen ID, right)..so i'll ask here, to the more knowledgeable, if there's already this callbak on Model object.. this way, will do not reinvent the wheel..Thanx

Hi,I'm trying to get PTP timestamp on STM32H743 Nucleo board. There is no proble with LwIP and ethernet driver so far except for PTP. I followed the instruction( 58.9.7 Programming guidelines for IEEE 1588 timestamping) on reference manual (RM0433) as follow.CLEAR_BIT(heth->Instance->MACIER, ETH_MACIER_TSIE); SET_BIT(heth->Instance->MACTSCR, ETH_MACTSCR_TSENA); WRITE_REG(heth->Instance->MACSSIR, 20); WRITE_REG(heth->Instance->MACTSAR, 0xcc); SET_BIT(heth->Instance->MACTSCR, ETH_MACTSCR_TSADDREG); while(READ_BIT(heth->Instance->MACTSCR, ETH_MACTSCR_TSADDREG)); SET_BIT(heth->Instance->MACTSCR, ETH_MACTSCR_TSCFUPDT); WRITE_REG(heth->Instance->MACSTSUR, 0x00); WRITE_REG(heth->Instance->MACSTNUR, 0x00); SET_BIT(heth->Instance->MACTSCR, ETH_MACTSCR_TSINIT) // TODO: configure ppsHowever, System time seconds register (ETH_MACSTSR) does not count and just loaded initial value in System time seconds update register (ETH_MACSTS

Hi.I create project in touchgfx and run ok on 32F746G-DISCO board.But in keil compile error. image of errors in attachplease help me.thanks

Hello!Dear ST technician!About 3993 ST25RU3993 Reader Suite software, inventory GB29768 tags, encountered a problem, want to consult:Now use STM32L476 +3933 chip, test the official source code (see the bottom picture), use ST25RU3993 Reader Suite,Inventory GB29768 tags, BLF select 640KHZ, can not Inventory to the tags, except 640 other drop-down selection rate, can Inventory to the tags,Now the reason is not clear, the code seems to be ok, it is not clear whether ST25RU3993 Reader Suite software menu selection is not selected,Or is there something in the code that needs to be changed,Above request, because the project is urgent, also hope to help support, thanks a million!

I am working with a STM32G474RE and I want to use a MCO as an output of HSE(27MHz).I used STM32CubeMX Ver.5.6.1 for generate simplest init. code, which would work only for MCO function at PG10 Pin. here's my setup.I builded the init. code by SW4STM32 without any modification.27MHz crystal is connected betoween PF0 and PF1. I measured wave form at PG10 and PA8 Pin by oscilloscope.PG10 wave form was tied to 3.3V DC, and PA8 wave form was 27MHz clk signal. I thought that I must write something to set PG10 as standard GPIO in order to avoid confliction with NRST function. Therefore, I can't find how to do it.Thank you.

Hello, After creating an app with TouchGFX 4.13.0 on STM32F769 DISCO v3 template I'm facing two issues: a) External Flash load: Run Target fails on TouchGFX Designer. I can flash the board only by edditing the linker script on CubeIDE replacing all usage of QUADSPI area by FLASH (thus not using the external flash), even after setting the external flash on debugger settings. Is there a better workaround for ext flash usage? b) Makefile rule defined for Blue_Buttons_Round_Edge_small***.cpp files fails when building the project. The files didn't actually exist in [AppDir]\TouchGFX\generated\fonts\src (perhaps because I was not actually using buttons in the app), so I copied them from another project and linked them back on CubeIDE. Hope it's useful for community members and please let it be known if there are fixes,Thanks!

I am using a BlueNRG-LP and started with the CCA01M1 I2S project. I changed the callback so that it applies a volume to the stream in real time. But this seems to block the code if I use a double (which id like to do to see some precision - and I want to add a tone generator in there too). If I use a int16_t then it is fine and doesnt block,If variable c is double then it blocks. If c is int then it worksanyone know why? /*Copy song fragment to Audio Output buffer*/ for(i=0; i< DMA_BUFFER_SIZE/2; i++) {   if (Amplifier.State == AMP_PLAYING) { c = *Amplifier.PlayPtr; c /= 10; c *= Amplifier.Volume; d = (int16_t) c; Amplifier.DMABuffer[i*2]= d;  Amplifier.DMABuffer[i*2+1]= d;  Amplifier.PlayPtr++; }

Hi, I have a st25dv discovery kit for NFC application. I have downloaded stm32cubeIde and I opened the project example. I have this error when I build the project :ST25DV_DISCOVERY_FW_V1.1.2/Projects/ST25DV-Discovery/Demonstrations/ST25DVDemo/Src/fw_command.c:31:../../../../../../Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32f4xx_hal_def.h:30:10: fatal error: stm32f4xx.h: No such file or directory #include "stm32f4xx.h"I have downloaded the STM32F4 package with the IDE.Thanks in advance for your help.Best regardsSullivan

Act as the DFP. I request the PE to send SOP identify request to the UFP after PE received the data it didn't fire the callback function. (I set the breakpoint at fusb305_tcpc_get_message and i see the data received from the DFP is correct.)But when i request the PE to send SOP SVID request to the DFP it did fire the callback function.when i request the PE to send SOP' identify request to the cable it did fire the callback function.I'm not sure if i set the configuration correct or there is any problem in the usb pd library.Thanks.John
