Solved

 I am using SPI1 to communicate with an IMU, which work perfectly. I used the same initialization code for SPI2 making changes for SPI2 and initialize PB13, PB14 and PB15 as SCLK, MISO and MOSI. It doesn’t work and I have run out of ideas. When SPI1 is initialized its SCLK pin immediately goes high, clock is high at idle, but when SPI2 is initialized its SCLK pin never goes high. I have tried initializing PB13 as an individual port and it works fine, goes high when set high and low when set low. So, it appears the hardware is OK. I have also eliminated all the rest of the code, still doesn’t work. I tried using other pins for SPI2, they don’t work either.  My SPI2 Init is attached.

Hi.I am currently trying to have USB virtual com port to work on STM32L462CEU6. I made simplest project using IDE, just enabling usb then setting the usb class to be CDC. Nothing fancy, no more things than setting the 48mhz clock and flashing cpu. No usb is detected and the cabling is correct. USB is not detected on macos. I tried same approach on a nucleo64 with a stm32L452, which is basically the same chip. Same procedure works, i get the device detected and configured.Tried flashing the 462 with 452 firmware and while flashing works, usb did not.I checked my board and cables thousand times and i am sure it is ok. I get absolutely no signal on the DP and DM pins... at all...Do you have any idea of what to test or bug reports to share?Thanks.

I'm working on a custom boot loader for a STM32F429, where I want to reserve the second of the first four 16K flash sectors for user data. Because the vector table has to start at 0x08000000, the memory layout would look like this:0x08000000 - isr vector table and padding (16K) 0x08004000 - user flash sector (16K) 0x08008000 - bootloader code (224K) ------------------ 0x0800C000 - application code with footer containing version and CRC (768K)This gives me a size constraint of 256K for the boot loader code. That's why I want to use the second flash sector, because this is one of the 16K ones. Nice and small, leaving enough room for the code.I'm using a modified version of ST's original gnu linker script:/* Custom bootloader linker script, edited from ST's STM32F429IITx_FLASH.ld. */   /* Entry Point */ ENTRY(Reset_Handler)   /* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = 0x20030000; /* end of RAM */ /* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */ _Min_H

Hi all,I am trying the example of USB CDC in:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLnQ3W8gmjY&list=PLnMKNibPkDnEEvQWrDqVuu1w_iQ214GXi&index=35It uses the above functions.But when I compile, I get :undefined reference to `USBD_CDC_SetTXBuffer' and to  USBD_CDC_Transmit_PacketCan someone help ?ThanksEli

I'm using STM32CubeMX to create a project for a NUCLEO-F746ZG with the LwIP middleware.Unfortunately, the IP Address Settings (IP, Netmask, Gateway) don't show up in the code anymore. In MX_LWIP_Init() there's justvoid MX_LWIP_Init(void) { /* IP addresses initialization */ /* Initilialize the LwIP stack without RTOS */ lwip_init(); ...without the actual address settings.Before updating CubeMX the settings where done in between those two comments like this:void MX_LWIP_Init(void) { /* IP addresses initialization */ IP_ADDRESS[0] = 192; IP_ADDRESS[1] = 168; IP_ADDRESS[2] = 0; IP_ADDRESS[3] = 2; NETMASK_ADDRESS[0] = 255; NETMASK_ADDRESS[1] = 255; NETMASK_ADDRESS[2] = 255; NETMASK_ADDRESS[3] = 0; GATEWAY_ADDRESS[0] = 0; GATEWAY_ADDRESS[1] = 0; GATEWAY_ADDRESS[2] = 0; GATEWAY_ADDRESS[3] = 0; /* Initilialize the LwIP stack without RTOS */ lwip_init(); ...I can't seem to find them anywhere else (they only show up in the .ioc file).Am I missing something or is this a bug

Hi!I tried to set peripheral initialization order in Project Manager->Advanced Settings.After I finished sorting the list and saved the project, the function list mixed.The problem is reproducable. When you save the project, the function list gets a random order.It would be good if somebody has a solution to this problem.Thanks!

I've downloaded the source code from the project page. I'm working in the latest STM32CubeIDE. When I import the STM32CubeMX .ico file, I get an error message: "Can't add: MotorControl files not found". Any pointers on how to get this project open?

Hello. I use STM32G474VET6.I want to use the comparator output as an external event for the timer. The output of the comparator (event) must be inverse (the POL bit is set in the COMP_CxCSR register). However, according to the logic of work, I see that the inverter does not affect the polarity of the event. Are my assumptions true or am I doing something wrong?

I am trying to set up a new project with BLE in it. Initially, it simply reads an accelerometer over SPI and flashes LEDS. I then used the configurator (the Cube bit) to turn on the BLE functionality. It adds a load of config code, but when I run it, the board runs through the initialisation and then hangs. If I run it in debug mode, and pause it after it hangs, it is in this code:/** * @brief This is the code that gets called when the processor receives an * unexpected interrupt. This simply enters an infinite loop, preserving * the system state for examination by a debugger. * * @param None * @retval None */ .section .text.Default_Handler,"ax",%progbits Default_Handler: Infinite_Loop: b Infinite_Loop .size Default_Handler, .-Default_HandlerI have tried to set up the Cube configuration the same as the BLE_p2pserver setup, including all the interrupts, but it still does not work. I have tried putting while(1); blocks in each of the interrupts, but none of them seem to cat

I've spent literally dozens of hours just trying to understand and get a timer to work. This is not due to a lack of effort.I'm creating a setup to use TIM1 in input capture mode to capture the rising and falling edges of a pin coming from an IR receiver, using the same strategy STM shows in AN4834. Full code is below. I understand everything about the basic timer setup, and setting up the two input channels to capture both edges. All good.I thought I fully understood the point of the slave mode configuration: The slave aspect is used so that on the specified edge (the falling edge) of the specified timer input (TI2FP2), the clock is reset. So on the falling edge of IC2, the count is captured (in CC2), and then the clock resets to 0. However...However, what I'm seeing is that even though the falling edge and capture occurs, the clock is NOT being reset to 0. It keeps counting up until the period elapses and an update event is generated. Why?GPIO_InitTypeDef gpio_init_struct = {0};

Hi,I am building a "cross-IDE" project with a bunch of different tools. That is why I have either FreeRTOS as well as Keil RTX5 RTOS in my project. I can switch between both kernels at any time.The problem I have regards animated image and it is interval time. When I run a program with Freertos everyuthing is ok, but when I use RTX5 RTOS CMSIS_v2 it seems like the animated images are always switched at every RTOS clock tick, no matter what I set for this animated image (setUpdateTicksInterval(n); ).Do you have any suggestions where to look for an answer? I can't see how does this widget works under the hood, because it is in the library. If it refers to the RTOS maybe I made a mistake when modyfing RTOS_wrappers file... But on the other hand everything else works fine, at least I didn't find more bugs. This is annoying because my animation is way to fast and I need to use RTX5 at the end...:( Arek

I am using keil asIDE and would like to use the capabilities of Cube Monitor for debugging. I could not figure out how to import keil project, or any of the generated files into Cube monitor. Looking for inputs and references.

Before the content was moved from Zendesk to the new TouchGFX website, i found the example i think under the following link.But I deleted the example and would need it again now. Where can i get it now? It was very helpful.

Hi:I have an spi TFT screen,and how to port the TouchGFX on this Sreen? Thanks!!

Hello,I developed an application in touchgfx and it is working perfectly.It is 480x800 resolution and the display is oriented in landscape mode.When I installed the display in the device I realize that the base only fits in one way and therefore the screen is displayed backwards.The base of the device where I am going to install the display cannot be changed, so I need help to know how to put the pixel (0,0) in the opposite corner to the one that is now and thus be able to view the app correctly.*************************************************** *=================================================* *=================================================* *=================================================* *=================================================* *=================================================* *===============================pixel(0,0) actual * ***************************************************   ************************************************** * pixel(0,0) desired====

Hi,I'm using ST35RU3993-EVAL board without ST-LINK debugger; generating .bin file with Keil uVision5 IDE and uploading the firmware with the Reader suit GUI. I would like to see output of printf function in the serial terminal. Is that possible, or UART is used only for communicating with the GUI? Thanks,Mirnesa

I am using STM32F207. The project that im working on will later on will be used by a bootloader. I am, therefore, trying to add crc information in the hex file so that bootloader will be able to validate its correctness.I am using srec_cat to calculate the crc in postbuild using this example with a modification that i use obj_copy to fill the memory gaps rather than srec_cat. (--gap-fill 0xFF)I have added a section in linker file, with the same address as that the one used by srec_cat, /* Sections */ SECTIONS { /* The startup code into "FLASH" Rom type memory */ .isr_vector : { . = ALIGN(4); KEEP(*(.isr_vector)) /* Startup code */ . = ALIGN(4); } >FLASH /*placing section for crc */ .crc32 0x08010000: { KEEP(*(.crc32)) /*keep my variable even if not referenced*/ } >FLASH /* The program code and other data into "FLASH" Rom type memory */ .text : { . = ALIGN(4); *(.text) /* .text sections (code) */   .....andconst uint32_t __attribute__ ((section(".crc32"

Hi everyone,I'm developing a new one project using STM32L031K6T MCU.It's mandatory to use a simple low cost device for massive production.Now flash memory is almost totally consumed.I'm tring to use compiling optimisations to reduce program dimension but there are some problems about stepping flow.It seems that program pointer is not alligned to the file, it doesn't follow next row but it jumps randomly.I'm using NUCLEO-L031K6 demo board and STM32CubeIde.Thanks in advance.Diego

Hi !I have a question about CR95HF. This module supports reader/writer.I want to make 2 devices including CR95HF module to communicate each other.I know that this module does not support peer to peer (P2P) feature.Is it possible to send NDEF messages of one device to other device with this module ?If not, could you please introduce other solutions for that ?Thanks,Hansung

Hello,I would like to develop a sniffer using BlueNRG-2 chip. Each system will be able to transmit packets with an unique ID and to receive packets from the other devices nearby (also devices based using BlueNRG-2). The aim is that all the devices should be able to estimate how many devices are nearby.For that, I would like to use the radio driver directly. I think using BLE will only add some complexity. What do you think ?But I am a bit confused about the "Network ID". Is it possible to have, let's say 10 devices close by, and communicating on the same Network ID ? Thanks a lot!
