Hi,what's needed to make CubeIDE to use the HAL implementation for the SysTick? I'm using STM32L011F4 device. It seems that the generated code uses Systick_Handler() from stm32l0xx_it.c instead of HAL_SYSTICK_IRQHandler() from stm32l0xx_hal_cortex.c.This seems to be something I observed when enabling LL for any of the used peripherals (which is an error IMHO) - it shouldn't disable the HAL for the SysTick or anything other than the affected peripheral.Even in a project which hasn't enabled any peripherals, I can't get the HAL implementation for SysTick up and running.I already reported some other bugs regarding using this device with CubeIDE - if this is another bug I've to get rid of CubeIDE, it isn't usable for me in this state. But I hope I only missed some setting.Regards

Hi everyone,I am trying to use CubeMX and the HAL library to get two STM32F411E discovery boards to communicate with each other via SPI. In a first step I am simply trying to configure the master correctly. I want to drive the NSS pin of the slave with a standard GPIO pin from the master and to this end have the following code in the while loop: while (1) {      slaveStatus = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_4);            // check status 1      HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_4, GPIO_PIN_SET);         // activate slave      slaveStatus = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_4);            // check status 2      HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_4, GPIO_PIN_RESET);    // deactivate slave

Hey guys, just having the hardest of times changing clock frequency to 80MHz for the system clock and 43MHz for the ADC clock. Every time I try it seems the writing function to registers gets disabled such as RCC->AHB2ENR trying to enable GPIOA and ADC clock enables. The weirdest thing is I tried it even with the HAL pre-generated code and there's no difference in performance. I am running a digital filter and its still takes the same time as it was on 4MHz assuming the HAL worked in changing the clock frequency. Any Ideas? Here's the code:void initClock(){void initClock(){   RCC->CR |= RCC_CR_MSIRGSEL; // Enable: MSIRANGE in CR RCC->CR |= RCC_CRMSIRANGE_6;   RCC->PLLCFGR &= ~(1<<12); // RCC->PLLCFGR |= ((1<<13) | (1<<11)); // PLLN = 40 RCC->PLLCFGR |= (1<<0); // PLLSRC = MSI RCC->PLLSAI1CFGR |= (1<<25); //PLLSAI1R = 4 RCC->PLLSAI1CFGR &= ~(1<<12); RCC->PLLSAI1CFGR |= ((1<<8) | (1&l

Hello,I'm not able to enable MR under-drive mode in my STM32F779NI chip. The exact problem is UDRDY is not getting set -> Line number 39 to 43.Below is the code snippet. Any suggestion would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.int main(void) { /* Add your application code here */ __IO uint32_t tmpreg;   /* Enable clock for toggle LED */ SET_BIT(RCC->AHB1ENR, RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOIEN); tmpreg = READ_BIT(RCC->AHB1ENR, RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOIEN);   /* Enable clock for switch input (EXTI) */ SET_BIT(RCC->AHB1ENR, RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOCEN); tmpreg = READ_BIT(RCC->AHB1ENR, RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOCEN);   /* Enable clock for SYSCFG that connects switch to EXTI */ SET_BIT(RCC->APB2ENR, RCC_APB2ENR_SYSCFGEN); tmpreg = READ_BIT(RCC->APB2ENR, RCC_APB2ENR_SYSCFGEN);   /* Enable clock for PWR module */ SET_BIT(RCC->APB1ENR, RCC_APB1ENR_PWREN); tmpreg = READ_BIT(RCC->APB1ENR, RCC_APB1ENR_PWREN);   /* Configure toggle LED */ GPIOI->MODER |= GPIO_MODER_MODE

Hello ,I would like to get some examples for WFE based sleep . In stm32cube examples, i see that most of them are like WFI based examples. Request someone to help me with this information. Thanks in advance.Regards,Vinoth

The problem I am having is the flag in the HAL_ADC_ConvCmpltCallback() function is never set, so the "if" statement in my main while loop is never entered.

I have a Nucleo F411RE board and I noticed in STM32CubeIDE Version 1.3.0, that I can't change the LSE clock source to external. However, I can change the HSE clock source to external (see attached). On the Nucleo board it looks like only the LSE clock is populated (X2) and the HSE clock is unpopulated (X3).Is this a bug in STM32CubeIDE or did I miss something? FWIW I'm not using any external clock for my particular design, just playing around when I noticed this.

Hi everybody,I use the STM32CubeProgrammer version 2.3.0Following issue occurs during programming of a hex-file:1.) do a mass-erase or a clear of all sectors of the device2.) read out some bytes (for example the first sector)3.) the device-memory tab shows "00" for every byte (and the whole flash)4.) load a hex-file which has wholes or gaps in the addresses For example like this::020000040800F2 :10000000005000208909000819050008190500089A :180028000000000019050008000000000000000019050008190500084E5.) The new hex-file tab shows that the gap from address 0x0800 0010 till 0x0800 0028 will be filled with 0xFF and not with the processor specific "unused/unprogrammed byte" which has to be 0x00.6.) programming the device and read out the first 40 bytes leads to this screenThe gaps from the hex-file are actually filled with 0xFF which is wrong from my point of view. The old STVP don't fill the address gaps with the wrong initial byte. It fills the gaps with the correct device depending initial f

HelloThis is my first time soldering a MCU on a custom PCB.As you know, STM32f767 is a very complicated chip and requires Vdd and Vss on many pins. Datasheet also states that capacitors are mandatory on each Vdd or Vref+. However Vref and Vdd (marked on figure) are neighbors and I was wondering if I can use one capacitor for both of them.Could you also tell me if this is a proper way of placing capacitors ? Max distance from Vdd line and cap is 8mm. As you can see, there is only one track and its obviously Vdd line. Of course I am not done with placing all caps and tracking Vdds to pins. I first need to know if this kind of principle is going to work

Hey folksJust got on populating the passives and ICs on what would appear to be my first ever STM32 based controller (custom PCB). Quite successful and rather impressed with the end result although, perhaps, with the exception of being able to program (ST-Link) while external power is applied (learning harder than I thought lol). Can someone please share a "basic" schematic that would allow for this be achieved. I understand that there are several Discovery board schematics however those shows rather complex circuits with jumpers all over & al. I'm just hoping to see if we have a far better, and "simple/r", approach to that.Any brilliant ideas welcome, that would be kind and helpful. Thanks guys

I am debugging why Ethernet is not working on a setup with stm32f107 + DP83848. Right now I was verifying that the MCO (main clock out) from the stm32f107 is doing what it should by checking with a scope. But MCO output doesn't seem to be working at all, and I can't understand why.The setup: A 25 MHz crystal drives the f107 and is passed to a pll and from that the MCO should output 50 MHz. (Cube is used to set it all up visually.)The f107-PA8 MCO is connected to f107-PA1 (ETH_RMII_REF_CLK) and to DP83848-X1. It's a 4-layer pcb with a proper signal and ground plane between red and blue, with only the vias through it:On my scope I failed to see any signal on the clock output when it runs at 50 MHz. I tried google and this forum, and found something that seemed to indicate that a resistor should be used in series from f107-MCO to dp83848-X1. So I cut off the trace using a knife (under C37). Still no signal. Then I also cut off the trace from f107-PA8 to f107-PA1 (at C20). But even with tr

Hello, We made a board that based on STM32MP157C-DK2. First of all, show the configuration of our board as below.... (1). The major parts and circuit are same as DK2 such as DDR, PMIC, MicroSD, Ethernet. (2). Some parts are removed such as MCU, WIFI/BT, HDMI Tx, USB hub, USB Type-C DRP and LCD module. (3). And add some peripheral such as eMMC, two SPI devices (SPI4, SPI5), EEP (I2C-1) The problem is: The board cannot boot up from SD card, list the symptoms as below... (1). We tried to boot up the board by DK2 SD card (it works well on DK2), but got the exception message from UART ... PANIC at PC : 0x2ffdc323       Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffda000 This is all messages since power on. (2). The BOOT cfg. bit setting is confirmed on 101b, boot from SD card. (3). The PA13 (boot status pin) kept Hi or Hi-Z. (4). PMIC RANK-0 no power output, but other RANK had output power. (5). About SD card access....      a. Only SDMMC1_CK, SDMMC1

Back in 2018 this question was posed and I have more information. The answer to this question lays at the bottom of UM1734 where a static allocation code snippet is given. There are two problems with this code snippet that will come back and bite the unwary developer (waves hand):1) the snippet allocates 4 x 32-bit items in an array with no explanation as to how they will be used. Perhaps 4 pointers to 4 USB device descriptors? NO, NOT AT ALL.These 4 x 32-bit values are used to house a 540 byte CDC device descriptor. The various values in memory after this array are then sacrificed to the descriptor.2) Their implementation allocates N x 32-bit values, whereas malloc expects N x 8-bit values, so 3/4 of your allocated space (if you managed to get past issue 1) will never get used. In a memory constrained system. Where every byte could be important.Sigh, now I have to get ahold of my customer and let him know that the 250 units in the field need a firmware update. I'm using two STM32L4xx connected to LoRa modules. The LoRa settings on both cases are:bw = 500 kHzSF = 12CR = 4/5implicit header, Crc off, low data rate optimization is on.On transmitter module, I do the following:Make sure the module is not in sleep modeSet the Tx pin high and Rx pin low.Clear the flagsSet the payload sizeSet the TxBaseAddr and AddPtr to 0x80Write 3 bytes to FiFoChange the operation mode to Transmitter.Wait until the TxDone flag is setI have read back all the registers to make sure they are properly set.On the receive side I make sure the modem is in continuous receive mode and check the flags until RxDone is set to 1. When I check the register RxNbBytes it is 1 and reading through the FiFo I can only see one of the bytes has been transferred.I've been dealing with this problem for about a week now and have tried many different things. Comparing my steps to other libraries (such as mbed os), I'm following the same steps.

I'm trying to use EEPROM emulation API in a project. I have downloaded the expansion package. Based on AN4894 I need core and porting to be included in my project so I copied them under a new directory in Middleware and included the path. Then added the eeprom_emul.h to my project. However stm32l4xx_ll_crc.h is included in the eeprom_emul.h which is not in my project. I activated the crc in cubemx and regenerated the code but this file is missing. Would appreciate any help.

Hello,I am trying to use the CR95HF chip in tag detect mode. I am communicating with the chip over UART and am trying to save power by putting the chip into tag detect mode so it will only wake up when a tag is detected. However, in case of a system error I want to have the chip either wake up due to a timeout if it has not detected a tag or be able to wake it up using a low pulse on IRQ_IN.Could you please tell me if waking the chip using a low pulse on IRQ_IN is possible if communicating with the chip over UART? I have set the WU source byte to 0x0A to include tag detection and low pulse on IRQ_IN as wake-up sources but when I do this only the tag detection causes the chip to wake. Full command being sent in this case: 07 0E 0A 21 00 79 01 18 00 20 60 60 64 74 3F 28.If it is impossible to wake the chip using IRQ_IN, then how do I have the chip go into tag detect mode and wake it EITHER when a tag is detected or when the timeout is triggered. In this case I have tried setting the WU so

2 questions here:Is the UART4 connector active by default on the demo board or do I need to build it in?If/when it is active, which STLinux /dev/tty is linked to the I/O path for UART4?thank you,-peter

Hi all,I am using HAL_FLASH_Program() to program an uuid into a specific address. I can verify it write successfully by reading from the address. However, if I power cycle the MCU, the memory at that address returns to the original value. If I write it directly through ST-Link then it stays permanently. Does anyone know why is that? Do I need to erase the memory location before write to it using HAL_FLASH_Program()? I am using STM32F745.Thank you

Hello! Dear ST technician! When I inventory the GB29768 tags , then read tags, In tag memory, read from area:"Could not read tag..." Warning, unable to operate, I used the chip STM32L476 +3993 provided by your company and the original code provided by the official. but the gen2 tag, the above functions can successfully perform read and set operations, so I sincerely consult you here:  Could you tell me what caused it? Looking forward to your reply, thank you vety much!Wish success and happiness!

Hi, I bought new ST25RU3993-EVAL from Digikey. And download en.STSW-ST25RU001.zip on ST web site.ST25RU3993_Reader_Suite software Installed to windows7 PC. Also installed FTDI drivers. When i put USB cable to PC, Red LED is ON. I see new "USB Serial Port(COM16)" on Windows Device Manager. On the first run ST25RU3993_Reader_Suite software, automatically detect new firmware and update device with ST25RU3993_FW_v2-0-0-0_Eval.binThen open again ST25RU3993_Reader_Suite and click "Connect Reader" button. Then Red LED is OFF. And software waiting and locked. No response and no any message. I tested with different PC and Windows10, but result is same. Not working. Why is the software not detecting the board? Thanks.

Hi,Every time i'm trying to open a new project in IDE, after choosing the board and a name for the project i get this "Create minimal project failure: cannot read template source" error messageIs there any solution?screenshot is attached Thanks in advance,Ehud

I'm expecting the SD card on SDMMC2 and eMMC on SDMMC1... in other words, how to check if the MPU finds the right device when changing the boot dip-switches to eMMC?
