Hello all, regarding Application note AN4539 all MCU's of STM32G4 shall support HRTIM peripheral, reference manual also describe HRTIM functionalities for all STM32G4, but on some pages and datasheet it is no information about HRTIM support. Which information is correct then?P.S. For example STM32G473RC shall support HRTIM, but it is not mentioned in datasheet

We are evaluating the M24LR04 for a specific application where energy harvesting is required. We have configured the energy harvesting mode 3 to ensure that it will attempt to continue to harvest with low magnetic field strength. However, we regularly see the power supply shut down with certain phones. The Nexus 5, for example, will only harvest energy in a very narrow range between 5 and 8 mm distance and in a very narrow X, Y alignment window. Is there anything we can do to help this? Why does the chip shut down energy harvesting at all? I would sooner let Vout sag than shut it down completely. Is there a different chip that we can use that will have better performance?

hi st: I am using lis2dh, driven by spi. Initially set to fifo mode, 25hz. When the power is turned on for the first time, I can read that there is data in the fifo, and the data are normal. When I reset the mcu and initialize the sensor again, the data cannot be read later. I have to power on lis2dh before it can work properly. So how to reset lis2dh, I have tried to set it to power dowm mode and then set it to normal mode, and it still behaves like this.ps (vddio and vdd connect to vdd)thanks!

I'm having the same trouble as many on here in that I can't persuade USART1 of my STM32F4 to come out with the correct baud rate. My transmitted data appears as garbage when received at 115,200 and if I attach a Saleae logic probe to the Tx pin it measures the emitted baud rate at 172,890 bits/s, so a factor of 1.5 too large. I know the external clock on my board is 12 MHz (it is printed on the can) and my clock configuration code to run at 168 MHz is therefore: RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0};   // Configure the main internal regulator output voltage __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE3);   // Initialize the CPU, AHB and APB bus clocks RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState = RCC_HSE_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLM = 1

I use ethernet switch instead of PHY with stm32f4. While RMII pins are connected to STM32, I manage MDIO pins with SPI.There is basic things whic is I can not understand. What is the difference between the autonegation, speed settings in STM32 ethernet driver configuration and switch autonegation, speed configuration?

I have been working through the STM32WB workshop (https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/stm32-education/stm32-moocs/STM32WB_workshop_MOOC.html), which has mostly been excellent. Unfortunately, when I get to workshop 4 (How to modify BLE profile), the version of STM32_WPAN in the version of STM32CubeMX and the STM32WB libraries used in the demo are very different from the current version.I am using the STM32WB Cube_FW V1.5.0 In STM32CubeMX version 5.6.0 and the STm32CubeIDE version 1.3.0. The workshop uses Cube_FW V1.0.0.When I add a Custom Template for BLE, several new tabs are added which need completing., and I can find no details on how to complete these. I have had a go at adding the SHORTENED_LOCAL_NAME to the advertising elements, but the generated code has a "value_not_setted" entry, which causes the build to fail. Replacing this parameter with just a number (e.g. '0') allows the programme to build, but it does not work.Is there an update to this workshop anywher

Hi,I've developed a custom PCB for STM32F051K8 connected to an external crystal oscillator (8Mhz - nx3225gd from NDK). I think I have set everything correct on CubeMX and managed to get a working firmware going. I set up a 100Hz timer for ADC through setting system clock source to HSE on CubeMx, and the ADC timing seems to be correct (1000 samples take roughly 10 seconds). My issue is that when I try to clock the RTC with the HSE, the timing seems to be consistently off by a factor of 8 or something close to that - Instead of showing 20secs it shows 2min 40secs.When I change the clock source to LSI on the CubeMX clock configuration tab, the timing seems to be closer when I store the timing results same as above - with the LSI, it shows about 22secs.Supposing that I have set the load capacitors of the external correctly, is there anything else I should do to make it work? especially with the RTC (as it seems that the system clock is working fine with the external crystal as the source)

Hello Fellow,I'm working with  SPC560B-DIS and loaded the example but I couldn't find where the PIN configuration for the CAN ( for flexcan_0), please let me know where can I find those?

Hi All,Please share the link to download user manual for the SPC560 controller.I have searched in ST site, I didnt find it.Thanks,

Hi,I'm going to use STM32G070CBT6-LQFP48 MCU in my project.I need to use the INTERNAL CLOCK.Is there any application that explains how to do it or how to configure the dedicated pins? Thanks in advance for your support.Fab

NUCLEO-F103RB with STM32F103RBI want to use the DMA in a burst mode to write data from buffer in RAM to the TIM1_CCR1,2,3,4? that are in PWM mode. DMA burst transaction is requested on the TIM1 Update (UEV). Number of transactions in Burst mode is set to 4 transactions. According to the Reference Manual on each DMA Burst request 4 values from the buffer in RAM have to be transfered simultaneously to the CCR1,2,3,4. What I actually see is that on each TIM1 Update Event ONLY ONE TIM1_CCRx register is getting updated with a new value from the buffer. Is that how it sappose to work, and if not where can be a problem?IDE: arm Keil microVision5Driver: STMicroelectronics SPLSourse code#define TIM1_DMAR_ADDRESS ((uint32_t)0x40012C4C)GPIO_InitTypeDef     GPIO_InitStructure;DMA_InitTypeDef     DMA_InitStructure;TIM_TimeBaseInitTypeDef TIM_TimeBaseStructure;TIM_OCInitTypeDef    TIM_OCInitStructure;uint16_t SRC_Buffer[] = {0

Hi,Hardware Setup: MCU: XMC4200 (infineon) connected to ST25R3911B over SPI, tag is ISO15693 compliantSoftware: Using the rfal library and the iso15693 APIs in en.STSW-ST25RFAL001 (V2.1.2)I am able to successfully read the inventory, write a single block and read a single block from the RFID tag memory. In my testing, if I write to a single block and read from that same block immediately after (to verify that the write occurred successfully), I get a "Security Stat: 63" on the block read transaction. If I simply read a single block (which is not preceded by a write to the same block the Security Status comes out to be 0)What does this security status code mean? Why is it not 0? I have attached the C code snippets for my read_single_block and write_single_block function implementation. Here is the printout from my Debug UART******************************************************************Running Inventory Commandiso15693Inventory status: 0Found Tag!ISO15693/NFC-V card found. In Figure 2 of st25RU3993 DateSheet, the CIR is used in front of the antenna, but the coupler is used for T4 of EVAL.I think if I want to use carrier cancellation, the Coupler needs to be used.Which one is recommended? Is LNA unnecessary?Does adding LNA increase the sensitivity? Please tell me NF or device noise.

I'm currently trying to spin a motor using the STEVAL_SPIN3201 and the motor control workbench and when I add a small load I get the overcurrent fault. After some research in the source code I realised that the OCCOMP was indeed overcurrenting with the 100mV comparator threshold. I then tried to set the threshold to 500mV but when I generate the source code the OCTH_STBY2_Pin stays at GPIO_PIN_RESET and I still overcurrent. I tried changing manually in the source code the output for GPIO_PIN_SET and I don't overcurrent anymore but whenever I regenerate code from motor workbench this gets overwritten. Is there another setting in the motor workbench that prevents this threshold to change or is there a bug in the code generation?Best regards,

hello,I am using the SPC582b and SPC5stdio.I want to have interrupts run whenever I receive data. But This function is difficult because it waits until input is received (sd_lld_read, &lcd_data[bit], 1)How can I implement an uart interrupt?I need your help.Thank you.

Dear,I expected to connect my PC to a STLink-V3 debugger (either on nucleo G4 board or a standalone one) via a USB isolator but failed. While, I can connect to the nucleo directly without isolator, I also can connect the nucleo board with a STLink V2 on boardBeside, the PC can recognize the STLink V3 correctly, which means the device can be found in the 'Device Manager', but the ST-Link Utility just cannot talk to it, which says 'communicaiton error'I'm wondering what's wrong, anyone can help? Many thanks

During ESD testing, we are noticing issues with our ADC values getting stuck. We are using STM32L475VGT6.No permanent damage has been observed. Resetting the MCU always results in normal behavior.  We are using DMA to load all ADC channels.  We are capturing the ADC values in log files in an external flash IC (AT25DF321A-SH-B). There are two main types of symptoms:#1 A previous count value from one channel gets carried forward for all other channels and all ADC values get stuck on this same count value.#2 all channels get stuck on the same count value, which is not a valid measurement for any channel. Questions:#1 there a way to re-initialize the ADC without going through a full reset?#2 Could this behavior be prevented (e.g., using a different mode for accessing the ADC besides DMA)? Thanks for your help,Paul
