Hi,I am trying to use Ethernet with STM32H745XI Discovery board and try to find out, if default board configuration can be used or I need to redirect Q-SPI to pints to Ethernet. Unfortunately the documentation description is not clear - should be this done or should be this done only for Half-duplex operation. Is it possible to use RMII configuration?, in documentation has been written - it is connected with MII, but Microchip PHY support also RMII.I am not hardware guy and have never worked with Ethernet previously. So the 2 main question: should I do a board rework according to specification, because Ethernet will not work Can I use RMII configurationThank you in advance.Documentation reference: Best regards, Dima

hey there! I'm planning to design my own PCB based on the STM32WL55 (900MHz range) and I have the NUCLEO reference design to look at, but find that here's a lot of RF paths in there, and I just want to know if there's any discussion anywhere on how much of all this is actually needed. ideally I would like to get rid of those RF switches and multiple paths, but I'd like to understand a bit more about what would happen if I did. And I'd also like to do that as fast as possible with as few PCB iterations as possible. :)1) does the Rx path really need to be isolated from the TX paths with an RF switch rather than just linked up? (with impedance matching of course!) if so, what are we achieving with the switch?2) What would the penalty be (assuming LoRaWAN!) if I was to just go with one PA output? I'm guessing that depending on what one I picked, either I'm transmit power limited or I'm limited in how much I can reduce battery draw during good quality link conditions... but I also need to u

Hi. I've followed the installation guidance found at https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/introduction/installation and can't get TouchGFX 4.18 to show up in neither STM32CudeIDE and STM32CudeMX (refreshed several times). Will this show up when an update list gets updated or is this a permanent removal from the ST's IDE toolchain? Thanks

Hello,I have two NUCLEO_WL55JC2 boards. I am starting with SubGhz_Phy_Per example. One of board is Tx and other is Rx as mentioned readme.txt in project files.Rx board's red led is blinking that means the board does not receive any signal. My jumpers are at initial settings. I suspected power and I tried with external 5v. It did not work. I was waiting ready to use demo.Do you have any suggestions? Should I do any change in configuration files?

EDIT: Found the solution, read for implementationI'm trying to get the MPU to exit from standby. PWR_ON goes to 0 as expected on shutdown, so far so good.I'm using PA2 (WKUP2) but it's not working at all...Is there anything special to setup in the device tree?I am using discrete power supplies as instructed in the app notes. Hi,I'm trying to see what the maximal frequency I can achieve using the STM32F407-discovery board. So far I have found the following:using TIM1 Internal clock (168MHz)Output pin PE9If i put the period at 1000, I get the following result:However if I put the period at 10, I'd expect a squarewave of 16Mhz, however this isn't the case: (and the squarewave seems to get irregular) Is there any way to generate a 25MHz square wave using this board? My code: (I haven't enabled any interrupts or anything like that)/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under Ultimate Liberty license * SLA0044, the "Licen

Hello,I am using an X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1 board plugged on a G431 Nucleo board and I have a question regarding the Nucleo power supply. In the IHM08 Quick Start Guide it is noted that the JP5 PWR jumper must be set to E5V (powered from morpho connector), however in the Motor Profiler information page (when you click on "Remember to properly configure the boards in Motor Control Mode" - Step 1) it is 5V_STLK that is mentioned (powered from USB).Which one should be used? Also, is is recommended to use an "external Isolated ST LinkConnect", highlighting the Nucleo STLINK USB connector. What is this device? (the new B-STLINK-ISOL?)Thank you.

Hi there, I am writing an application that requires large streams of IPCC. At the moment I have allocated the RPMSG vdev0 and vrings to SRAM3+4 and I have increased the buffer size of each ring to 1024. The device tree now looks like this: vdev0vring0: vdev0vring0@10040000 { compatible = "shared-dma-pool"; reg = <0x10040000 0x2000>; no-map; };   vdev0vring1: vdev0vring1@10042000 { compatible = "shared-dma-pool"; reg = <0x10042000 0x2000>; no-map; };   vdev0buffer: vdev0buffer@10044000 { compatible = "shared-dma-pool"; reg = <0x10044000 0x8000>; no-map; };On the M4 Linker Script:RAM2_ipc_shm (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x10040000, LENGTH = 0x00012000 I am trying to increase the VRING_SIZE to more than 16 ( Ideally I would like to increase it to maximum possible value in my configuration). In Openapm_conf: #VRING_NUM_BUFFS 16I have increased the memory in my device tree but I can not find the remoteproc config declaration for VRING s

Trying to build my own raspberryPi wireless SWD debugger.(bitbanging SWD, without stlink)I am able to flash and halt the code trough cubeIDE but openOCD is not able to reset the chip, i have to do it manually for now (see gif above).Pesky errors im getting:error in procedure 'ocd_process_reset'Error executing event reset-start on target Error executing event reset-init on target

NUCLEO-G431RB + X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1MCWB 5.Y.3 + STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0Maxon motor combination: 200142 + 166935 + 673026 I have created a project to drive a BLDC motor with the above mentioned equipment, I was able to create a basic project to drive the BLDC very quickly because of the knowledge gained from the F303RE+IHM07M1 combination. I have then cried to use the same method to achieve ADC however I was not able to do so. Attached is the main.c file from my project, the ADC code present in this file is the same as in the other project with the only difference of using ADC2 instead of ADC1 and the timing of the conversion. Thanks in advance Kind RegardsManpreet Singh

Hi   When generating for CubeIDE firmware executes fine in both production and engineering mode. But for IAR/EWARM only engineering mode works. And, yes, I am aware of production mode not supported out of the box. Manual copy to target and start required.   Target STM32MP1-DK2 STMCubeMX 6.3.0 STMCubeIDE 1.7.0 EWARM 9.10.1   /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { static int loopCounter; loopCounter++; HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED_Y_GPIO_Port, LED_Y_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); if( loopCounter < 10 ) { for(volatile int i = 0; i < 5000000; i++); } else { HAL_Delay(500); } HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED_Y_GPIO_Port, LED_Y_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); if( loopCounter < 10 ) { for(volatile int i = 0; i < 5000000; i++); } else { HAL_Delay(500); } /* USER CODE END WHILE */   /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */ Reproduction method Generate STMCubeIDE and EWARM projects by changing in MX Project Manager from attached HAL_Tick_TIM6.ioc. Hi!I currently work on USB composite device (CDC + MSC). I putted together a program with help from:https://sudonull.com/post/68144-CDC-MSC-USB-Composite-Device-on-STM32-HALhttps://www.programmersought.com/article/18127793400/The thing is, i don't know if my program works, because THE DRIVER IS MISSING. I can't find the driver that win 10 would accept. When I use only CDC or MSC it works fine, but together not. I'm using STM32F407VG (custom board and discovery board).I tried these drivers:https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/Arduino_STM32/issues/697https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stsw-stm32102.htmlThe device shows up as "Maple".Anyone had this problem? Is it the fault of the drivers or my program? Thanks and have a nice day :)UPDATE:It wasn't windows problem, it was the problem with my code. If you dont know how to do composite device i recommend to you this link: HAL_PCDEx_SetRxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_OTG_FS, 0x80); HAL_PCDEx_SetTxFiFo(&hpcd_USB_OTG_FS, 0, 0x40); HAL_PCDEx_S

I am trying to flash code in my stm32 via SWD interface with a raspberryPi.(swd is bitbanged no stlink used)With my raspberryPi Zero i followed this tutorial, wired the raspy with my stm32f105 together. My openocd.cfg file looks like:source [find interface/sysfsgpio-raspberrypi.cfg] transport select swd set WORKAREASIZE 0x2000 source [find target/stm32f0x.cfg] reset_config srst_only srst_nogate adapter srst delay 100 adapter srst pulse_width 100 bindto 0.0.0.0 init targets #reset haltmy sysfsgpio-raspberrypi.cfg file looks like:# # Config for using RaspberryPi's expansion header # # This is best used with a fast enough buffer but also # is suitable for direct connection if the target voltage # matches RPi's 3.3V # # Do not forget the GND connection, pin 6 of the expansion header. #   interface sysfsgpio   # Each of the JTAG lines need a gpio number set: tck tms tdi tdo # Header pin numbers: 23 22 19 21 sysfsgpio_jtag_nums 11 25 10 9   # Each of the SWD lines need a gpio n

HiI am using an STM32L496GTx with a HAL from Cube MX and it just jumps to the "thread #1" whenever I try to single step through the code in main. I don't even get to the other parts, I'm just trying to init the HAL (I don't get to the systemclock, any of the peripherals, nothing) and when I single step through the C code I get kicked to something and my only option is to view disassembly around the HAL_MspInit() call within the init. I really have no idea what's going on and I thought it might be this MCU but I swapped it for a fresh MCU today and this brand new MCU is doing the exact same thing. I'm feeding the 3.3V directly with a DC supply so the other peripherals on the system should be pretty isolated.I'm using STM32CubeIDE and using a JLINK for the MCU connection. I don't have a scope for the power rails but I'm hoping it's clean enough. I have external oscillators on this board but they aren't configured. I really am not sure what else to check out. Thanks

Hello,So we are building a ball shooting robot which self detects the speed the ball was launched. The average speed is in range of 80mph. To get speed we are using two light gates, one on PF9 and one on PF10. So I set up EXTI interrupts on these two input rising edges. Most of the times the logic works just fine and the speed calculated seems believable, but sometimes the interrupt is triggered on falling edge instead of rising edge. Tried the other way around and got the same result - some times interrupt is triggered on rising edge although its set to be triggered on falling edge. I hooked up digital logic analyzer to actually see if the problem is with light gates or with STM32 interrupt. And since I'm here you already should know where the problem was. I explicitly checked the register setup if somehow trigger for both edges is set up but also in registers everything seems okay. So the question is whats happening? Why sometimes interrupt is triggered on rising edge instead of fall

Hello every body.I am beginner in mems sensor.I am using a GY521_MPU6050 module for gyroscope sensor .when module start working it outputs all zero like bellow:Ax=0 ,Ay=0,Az=0, but temprature is 36.53 .does anyone know how can I overcome this problem .Thankyou everybody.

I have an STM32H753 using a USB OTG-HS peripheral configured for full speed mode, which is connected to a USB Type-C receptacle. The goal is to connect to a Galaxy S8 where the S8 is the host and the STM is the peripheral. However, this is a Type-C to Type-C connection, so a standard Type-C cable doesn't force the phone to be the host and the pair do not connect reliably. If a Type-C cable is used, then this connection only works if the STM is powered on after the cable has been physically connected to both the phone and the STM. The connection does not work if the STM is already powered on when the cable is plugged in.What does work 100% of the time is using a Type-C to Micro-B cable with a Micro-B to Type-C adapter on the STM side. The Type-C to Micro-B cable is for USB OTG and it forces the phone to be the host. Based on the USB specs, I believe the cable has a 5.1kΩ pulldown on pin USB-CC1 at the host, and the adapter has a 56kΩ pullup on pin USB-CC1 at the device. I've ordered USB

Hi Everyone,I want to do e flash loader device that can be load binary to mcu via Swdio pin. Is any one can give advice about this? Maybe stlink hardware can be use or any STM32-Disco board can be use I don't know. I just want to create something like this. Because, I have many of device in field and some time I need to do firmware update. My devices don't have any bootloader option. Because of that I have to update devices manuel with STlink. Field personnel that do this firmware update can't find computer always. So if I can create a device that can be take power from my device and can be load new firmware that has inside it will be useful.I'm open to any advice for development.

I am trying to get an application to set a flag to non-volatile memory to communicate to the bootloader after reset to reprogram the application image. I am using the STM32L496 MCU.EEPROM seems to be the weapon of choice, but our team has EEPROM on both the application and the bootloader configured to use "virtual eeprom" (which basically means it is actually using flash) and from what I can tell can only be used within their respective programs. What would be beautiful is if the MCU had a spare non-volatile register (like the RCC_CSR register) that can be used to share a 1-bit flag between the applications to communicate when it is time to reprogram the image. What is the simplest method for tackling this problem? Example? Thanks,Marshall
