I am using the nucleo L476rg and I am not sure to correctly understand the notation in the manual: I want a compare event of a timer to send the DMA request but in the DMA selection register is generally reported TIMx_CHx as request sender.Considering the TIM2 compare event on channel 1. In the DMA requests tab, must I select the TIM_CH1?I am not sure that this means that the compare event sends the DMA request. It is only reported as TIM_CH1....when I have the UPdate it is reported as TIM2_UP and I can easily understand.

Hello Everyone,I am trying to establish communication between SPI1 and SPI2 on the STM32F303 Discovery board.I have configured SPI1 as Master and SPI2 as Slave. I am receiving 0xFF when a Receive interrupt is fired in SPI2.SPI1 Master module is configured so: /** * PA4 - NSS PB12 - NSS * PA5 - SCK PB13 - SCK * PA6 - MISO PB15 - M0SI * PA7 - MOSI PB14 - MISO */ __HAL_RCC_SPI1_CLK_ENABLE();   LL_SPI_InitTypeDef SPI1InitStruct;   SPI1InitStruct.BaudRate = LL_SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_DIV4; SPI1InitStruct.ClockPhase = LL_SPI_PHASE_2EDGE; SPI1InitStruct.ClockPolarity = LL_SPI_POLARITY_HIGH; SPI1InitStruct.CRCCalculation = LL_SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; SPI1InitStruct.DataWidth = LL_SPI_DATAWIDTH_8BIT; SPI1InitStruct.TransferDirection = LL_SPI_FULL_DUPLEX; SPI1InitStruct.BitOrder = LL_SPI_MSB_FIRST; SPI1InitStruct.Mode = LL_SPI_MODE_MASTER; SPI1InitStruct.NSS = LL_SPI_NSS_HARD_OUTPUT;   LL_SPI_Init(SPI1, &SPI1InitStruct);   LL_SPI_Enable(SPI1);SPI1 GPIO

Hello, I'm using RTC Wakeup to periodically kick WDG while system is in a sleep mode.I have setup RTC wakeup as following:/* RTC init function */ void MX_RTC_Init(void) {   /** Initialize RTC Only */ hrtc.Instance = RTC; hrtc.Init.HourFormat = RTC_HOURFORMAT_24; hrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = 127; hrtc.Init.SynchPrediv = 255; hrtc.Init.OutPut = RTC_OUTPUT_DISABLE; hrtc.Init.OutPutRemap = RTC_OUTPUT_REMAP_NONE; hrtc.Init.OutPutPolarity = RTC_OUTPUT_POLARITY_HIGH; hrtc.Init.OutPutType = RTC_OUTPUT_TYPE_OPENDRAIN; if (HAL_RTC_Init(&hrtc) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } }   void HAL_RTC_MspInit(RTC_HandleTypeDef* rtcHandle) {   if(rtcHandle->Instance==RTC) { /* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_MspInit 0 */   /* USER CODE END RTC_MspInit 0 */ /* RTC clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_RTC_ENABLE();   /* RTC interrupt Init */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(RTC_WKUP_IRQn, 0, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(RTC_WKUP_IRQn); /* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_MspInit 1 */   /* USER CODE END RT

I noticed that CubeH7 v1.10.0 comes with USB Device library v2.10.0 which supports new class drivers and composite device. However I can't find any document nor examples corresponds to those new features.ST, could you please update USB Device library document to explain new features?BR

Hi everyone,I’m working on a custom display board with a STM32H7A3 MCU and a MX66LM1G45G 128Mb OSPI flash. I have build a custom external loader following ST tutorial, with H7 params. I use JTAG to flash.When it comes to use my .stldr custom loader in CubeIDE or CubeProgrammer (v2.7), it fails.Here’s what’s CubeProgrammer says when I try to flash my .bin app (touchgfx project) using the external loader:[…]w ap 0 @0x90000000 0x000D083C bytes Data 0x00000000 // Error: failed to download Segment[1]With CubeIDE using the external loader, it also fails at Segment[1] (see full logs attached)When I try to read a data at 0x90000000 with CubeProgrammer, it also fails (see file log_cubeprogrammer_ReadData.log attached)I have successfully tested my OSPI functions in the main.c of the external loader (writing/reading/erasing) on my board (without the external loader linker modifications). In my TouchGFX applicative project I implemented the same OSPI functions and was also able to read datas in me

I have to design a system, where a STM32MP157, with its embedded Cortex M4, communicate with other clients over a high-speed serial connection. There should be a 10 : 1 serializer for the MOSI line, and a 1 : 10 deserializer for the MISO line (from the STM32MP15x perspective).While the transmission from the STM32MP15x via the serializer looks doable with the FMC address lines, I am looking for a reasonable fast way to read the asynchronous data from the deserializer. After I read the app note AN5020 Digital camera interface (DCMI) on STM32 MCUs, I think this could be a way.The idea is: When data arrive via the deserializer, these are clocked into the DCMI, DMA transfered and a interrupt is generated.When the DCMI is configured as 8 bit, external syncronized, with 8 Databit, HSYNC and VSYNC and the clock, could this work even with long "blanking peroides" (Where VSYNC indicates no data)? Question 1: Is there a limit on the length of the blanking periods of the DCMI?Question 2: Must a pe

HelloI'm using CubeIDE.I want to get list file which is containing OP code from "Startup_stm32f427zgtx.s" as a output of assembler.I heard that I could use -Wa, -al option here and there on the Webs, but I couldn't get the list file of the assembler.I'm waiting for your help.Best Regards.

condition 1. Start the STM32CubeIDE directly by mouse.(in windows 10 os)condition 2. Open the CubeMX software. Choose one project & click Code Generation. And wait for it finished then Click "open project" button. then the Stm32CubeIDE A.K.A eclipse Start.Condition2 the IDE look far more comfortable. Why? I want to get the same performance in condition 1. Any one can help me? Thanks a lot.above is condition 1: open IDE with mouse.above is condition 2: open IDE with CubeMX

I'm trying to use DMA to handle my incoming Rx data and, ideally, I'd like to just increment the index to keep track of the incoming data, essentially like this:#define uartsize 2000 #define dma_buffer_interrupt_size 1   uint8_t UART_in_Buffer[uartsize];   HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart3, &UART_in_Buffer[head_index], dma_buffer_interrupt_size);   void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { head_index = (head_index + dma_buffer_interrupt_size) % uartsize; }The problem I'm having is that when I setup a circular buffer, once it enters HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(), it resets the index to 0. So if I have the dma_buffer_interrupt_size set to 3, for instance, it will enter that interrupt routine every 3 bytes, increment the count, and then if I send another 3 bytes, it will write over the first 3 bytes of the array. I can get around that by doing the following:void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { head_index = (head_index + dma_buffer_inte

Is the modified RF-output filtering better in terms of EMI for FCC or CE-certification?The new filtering in V2 consists of two filtering stages and replaces one integrated filter 2400-2500 MHz.What is the reason for this change and why did you set STEVAL-IDB011V1 to "not recommended for new design"? Hi all, recently I am trying to use ADC to sample 4 channel current signals. Since there is no critical time requirement, I plan to use scan mode. In my opinion, the ADC will automatically complete four channel signal conversion stuff, then set the EOS flag, which can lead to an interrupt. afterwards, I can read all four channel conversion result in the interrupt service routine. but when I have finish the design, and then try to debug, I found that, the EOS interrupt will never be enterred. Then I try a lot of methods, and finally found that, if I read the DR some time after I start the ADC conversion, then the interrupt can be enterred ! Besides, I found that, I can not even get the EOS flag, if I just poll for it forever! I suspect that, this could be a STM32H743 chip logic issue, because, I have use the similar method for ADC sampling with STM32F4 series. Can anyone give me some hints? thanks a lot!

I recently upgraded my project from 4.16.1 to 4.18.1. After integrating the designer files in to my project build environment, I am facing build error with a designer generated file. See attachment. Obviously I cannot modify the generated files to address issue. Please suggest what I am missing.

In the hardware requirements for the STM32CubeMonitor it is mentioned that an “STM32 target board“ is required. (wiki)Does that mean that the monitor is not compatible with J-Link and J-Link OB and for example an STM32L433CC ?

Hello,I have bought a devkit NUCLEO-WL55JC2. I'm looking for an IAR EWARM template project or examples. Someone knows where i can find it? I find only examples running under CUBEIDE.Thanks !:grinning_face:

Hi, I'm trying to change color of a component (circle) inside a container inside a scrollWheel.This should occur when user press a button. The button is a component outside of scrollWheel. Hi all,I have been trying to get DSI interface on a custom board using STM32MP1.The device tree exactly done as given here : LInk.I do have DK2 kit , which i probe I am able to see the signals at DSI PHY even if display is not connected.In case of my board , I am unable to get it up. See the device tree attached for more details.The reference design is taken from DK2.The probing of driver i believe fails silently since neither I do any failure logs related to DSI in kernel boot logs. modetest -M : Also does not give positive result. I can see encoder field is empty and unpopulated.Any leads are appreciated.

I am using an STM32L552ZE (it is in fact the nucleo version). After carefully reading the manual and looking at some example code from the STM32 Cube IDE, I came to the conclusion that this code is what I need to enter stop 2 mode with Wait For Event:PWR->CR1 = // (PWR->CR1 & (~PWR_CR1_LPMS)) // Clear Low Power Mode Select bits | PWR_CR1_LPMS_STOP2 // Select Stop 2 Mode ;   // Deep sleep SCB->SCR = SCB_SCR_SLEEPDEEP_Msk;   // Wait for event __SEV(); __WFE(); __WFE();This works very well as the processor indeed stops running. I am also able to wake the processor by sending a byte on the LPUART interface (which is clocked by the LSE).HOWEVER, now I also configure some (non LP) timers and then the MCU is immediately woken up. Even though the timers are configured using their corresponding APB clock, which supposedly should be disabled in stop 2 mode.My question now is, how is it possible that an APB clocked peripheral can wake my MCU from stop 2 mode?
