Hello all,I'm having some serious problems communicating with a device attached to USART2 on a custom STM32L496RGT, board, configured in CubeMX.void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void) {   huart2.Instance = USART2; huart2.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart2.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart2.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart2.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart2.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart2.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart2.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart2.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart2.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart2) != HAL_OK) {I reset the device using a GPIO signal at which point it sends the string "%REBOOT%" to the USART.If I set up the USART to generate an RXNE interrupt which I handle in my own code and store in a ring buffer, the string is received without difficulty:const int buf_sz = 32; char buf[buf_sz]; HAL_GPIO_WritePin(BL_RST_GPIO_Port, B

Hi all,I wanted to make use of LPTIM1 module of STM32H723ZG for generating 1ms interrupt.Clock frequency used 64Mhz (HSI).Environment: Nucleo 144 STM32H723ZGPrescaler: Divide by 128Auto reload register value: 500uBelow is the code snippet of init function:void Timer_driver_init(void){ // Enable the peripheral clock for LPTIM1 RCC->APB1LENR = RCC_APB1LENR_LPTIM1EN; // NVIC initialization NVIC_EnableIRQ(LPTIM1_IRQn); // Configure LPTIM TIMER->CFGR |= TIMER_INTERNAL_CLK | TIMER_COUNTERSOURCE_INTERNAL| TIMER_SOFTWARE_TRIGGER | TIMER_UPDATE_IMMEDIATE ; // Update Prescaler TIMER->CFGR |= TIMER_PRESCALER ; // Update the Auto Reload Register TIMER->ARR = TIMER_PERIOD; // Enable Auto Reload Match interrupt TIMER->IER |= LPTIM_IER_ARRMIE; // Enable the LPTIM module TIMER->CR |= LPTIM_CR_ENABLE; // Wait for timer counter to be enabled while ((TIMER->CR & LPTIM_CR_ENABLE) != LPTIM_CR_ENABLE); // Start the counter once it is enabled TIMER->CR |= LPTIM_CR_CNTSTRT;}In

Hi,I'm planning to buy SPC584B-DISP Discovery kit and use the SPC5-STUDIO.but now, SPC5-STUDIO is in the ACTIVE state on the homepage, but GET SOFTWARE is not possible.Please let me know if this software is out of support or where I can download it.Thanks! !!

Hi, I'm trying to configure my stm32h7b0vb for max clock (280Mhz), but max freq on DIVN1 is 420Mhz, and DIVP1 is 2 (min val). Therefore I only reach 210Mhz

I am using the STM32L4S9AII6 clocked at 120MHz.I am trying to configure a simple (to me it should be simple) retriggerable one pulse mode timer. I was able to configure TIM6 in one-shot mode, but I had the following issues:The timer was not retriggerableMxCube did not allow me to eliminate the pulse delay as this was a basic timer.I am now trying to use general purpose timer TIM15 because the reference manual is inferring that this is the only timer that is capable of retriggerable one pulse mode. However, I am not even able to get this timer to trip an interrupt. My frustration is that I have now come across 3 different ST documents that explain how to configure the timer in this mode, but all of them reference hardware registers which means little to me because MxCube does not indicate what registers are being changed with the avalable settings.Can someone please help me know how to set up a retriggerable one pulse timer using MxCube? Specifically, I want this to be completely softwa

HelloHelp me understand the interpretation of the APDU command response.Hardware : ST25R3911B-DISCO , Logic analyser , Visa NFC cardAction: send custom APDU and parse response The problem is : non-identical data (APDU answ.) received through the SPI protocol analyzer ST25R pins AND APDU answ. which is displayed in the application window Moreover, why does the APDU data response appears along the MISO and MOSI lines simultaneously and in fragments ?

Hello, everyone. I had a problem with version 7.1.0 of X-CUBE-AI. When I load the TFlite model of the neural network and generate the code I have problems initializing the input and output buffers. In particular I have a problem with this assignment: ai_buffer ai_input[AI_NETWORK_IN_NUM] = AI_NETWORK_IN;The compiler gives me a problem with the AI_NETWORK_IN macro, which is listed as deprecated and returns ai_buffer*. Has anyone else encountered the same problem? How can it be solved?In version 5.20.0, I had no problems with initialisation and already evaluated many different examples.Thank you,Davide

I am using a KSZ9021GN PHY in MII mode. Due to supply chain issues we had to resort to this PHY. (Cube MX says I can't use GMII mode). I am experiencing this apparently common issue: [ 15.650981] dwmac4_dma_reset err [ 15.652849] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: Failed to reset the dma [ 15.659006] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet eth0: stmmac_hw_setup: DMA engine initialization failed [ 15.668518] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet eth0: stmmac_open: Hw setup failed I have read over https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Ethernet_overview#How_to_debugand it says typically that the clock(s) are not present at reset, but I am not clear on what clocks are involved in MII mode. Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

Hello,I would like to make timer 2 compare event in channel 1 to clock timer 5. Timer 2 compare events also sends DMA request and timer 5 is also used to output a PWM waveform. Here you can find the Init function that I wrote and the main code. At the end something is not working because I can't see any waveform at PAO (the one supposed to output the PWM). I double checked the Timer registers and they seem fine to me. Can you help me in finding the errors? I am not able to undesrtand wheter the problem is on the TIM2 or TIM5 (both the timer synchronization part and the GPIO configuration)I shared only the relvant code for the two timers and removed             // timer2 initialization void TIM2Init (void){ // Enable the timer clock RCC->APB1ENR1 |= (1<<0); // Enable the tim2 clock writing 1 in bit 0 // Set the prescaler and the ARR to set the frequency of the sinewave TIM2 -> PSC = 79; // 80 MHz/80= 1MHz clock --> 1us count TIM2-&g

Hi,I'm using CubeIDE 1.9.0 with X-Cube-TOF1 package 3.0 on a Nucleo-F401RE with VL53L5A1 expansion.I want to create the simple ranging example application with additional crosstalk calibration. I followed the steps from software package user manual UM2974, chapter 4.2.1 to create the application and enabled crosstalk calibration. No other changes are done. The instructions are written for CubeMX, not CubeIDE, but I think I've done it right.But the serial connection always shows sensor init failed. Even disabling crosstalk calibration doesn't show any effect - this setup should reflect exactly the same as the provided pre-compiled binary, I assume.Debugging into the application shows bus acknowledge failure. Also, trying to communicate with the VL53L5 using the ULD driver (not using anything from the TOF1 package) doesn't work reliable, the I2C interface often hangs.There are no modifications to the hardware. I've no idea why nothing from example source codes or Cube packages works out

Hello. I have been getting familiar with the STM32L011F4P6 chip. I am using a 20-pin chip soldered onto a board as my test device. I am using a Nucleo-f429zi as the programming/debug device. I have made the necessary changes and am using the SWD header to connect to my chip and program it. The SWD pins on the Nucleo board are connected to the chip for power and reset as well. I am using an arm-none-eabi-gcc toolchain for development with VSCodium. Everything works smoothly, and I use GDB to load the program onto the chip and run/debug with the help of the st-util tool to connect.Now, to my question. I have been trying to reach a 1uA standby mode current consumption, but am stuck at 15uA. This does not even match the documentation's consumption level for sleep mode. I am not using the HAL library, and have been taking a 'bare metal' approach. I am using the stm32cubel0 files (including all the CMSIS) and all seems to be working quite well. I have been reading the datasheet and the user'

Hello dear community,This is my first post here and I am coming to you for help.In the context of a project with a STM32H747I-EVAL board (this board was lent to me and I notice that it doesn't seem to be sold anymore), I need to send/receive CAN messages with another device. I want to use FDCAN1 and FDCAN2.I have created a project with the STM32CubeIDE with the corresponding board. When I go to the "Pinout & Configuration" view, I want to activate FDCAN1 and FDCAN2 but this is where I encounter problems. As the attached screenshots show, I encounter conflicts with other elements when trying to activate FDCAN1 and FDCAN2. These conflicts are present whatever the runtime context (M7 or M4).I admit I am a bit lost and do not know how to continue. Why are these conflicts present? How can I solve them and use FDCAN1 and FDCAN2 ?Waiting for your answer, I thank you for all the help you can give me.Thank you

When I was going through the setup process of USB in STMcubeMX, I suspected that it could not be used as USB host.I would like to know if STM32F372/STM32F373 can be used as USB host. Can STM32F372/373 be used as USB host?

I want to connect a MEMS microphone to my stm32 using its SAI interface. I found a document called "Interfacing PDM digital microphones using STM32 MCUs and MPUs" which gives some examples about how to do it.My question is about the configuration :Why is number of slots equal to 4 ? I dont understand what this parameter represents.In this example, the data size is set to 16 bits and frame length to 64 bits (with free protocol mode).  Sorry if this is a newbie question but why are these two parameters set with different sizes ? I would think that data size should be equal to frame length as I'd want to get all the data sent by my digital microphone. Thanks

I'm trying to get data from PDM microphone and convert it to PCM data. This is my first project on stm32 and I'm starting to debug the project. Could you take a quick look at my code and say if you notice something wrong ? We are planning to use X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 eval kit for one of our RFID application that requires read/write range of 30CMs. Can you please confirm the read/write range of NFC06A1 kit? Also, please suggest suitable adhesive RFID tag for this application.

I'm using a stm32wb55RG. I'm trying to get data from a MEMS PDM microphone and convert it into PCM data. I'm using SAI PDM interface and DMA. So far, I think I manage to receive the PDM data (I get some values from the SAI interface) :I don't know if these values make a sense or not. But when I try to convert these data into PCM using PDM_Filter, I can't get any value in the output buffer.I provide the code :#include "main.h" #include "pdm2pcm_glo.h" #include "stdio.h"   /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */   /* USER CODE END Includes */   /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PTD */   /* USER CODE END PTD */   /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ /* USER CODE END PD */   /* Private macro -------------------------------------------------------------*/ /*

Hello people,I am working on a Project with the stm32wb55 which includes Low Power Modes (Standby) and Bluetooth (BLE).When i turn off the Bluetooth part the controller can simply enter and exit Standbymode by my choice.However if i activate BLE on a Button, work with it and want to enter Standbymode again the controller wont wake up anymore.As i have heard the problem could be something with the cpu2 for example the RF.Is there a way to shut down the cpu2 completely so i can enter the Standbymode like in the first example ?

Throws this incredibly descriptive error:Errors occurred during the build. Errors running builder 'CDT Builder' on project 'App'. java.lang.NullPointerExceptionI tried cleaning and re-importing the project, and the error persists. If I go back to v1.8.0, it works fine. Anyone have a work around for this?

I am trying to carry out a project with a NUCLEO-STM32G431 board.With STM32CubeProgrammer I can program the MCU without problem.But with STLM32CubeIDE I cannot program the flash.STM32CubeIDE 1.8 freshly installed (as I could not achieve anything I reinstalled everything).I create a new project: File / New / STM32 project ...Without touching anything I compile it without problem.
