Solved

Hello dear STM32-Community,I'm using an STM32L4R and wanted to configure my data retention of SRAM2 for standbymode.I did the following changes to the linker file:/* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = 0x10004000; /* end of RAM */ /* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x800; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x800; /* required amount of stack */   /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 640K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 2048K SRAM2 (rw) : ORIGIN = 0x10000000, LENGTH = 16K }   [........]   .data : { . = ALIGN(8); _sdata = .; /* create a global symbol at data start */ *(.data) /* .data sections */ *(.data*) /* .data* sections */   . = ALIGN(8); _edata = .; /* define a global symbol at data end */ } >SRAM2As seen on the screenshot the data is acutally saved in SRAM2 (0x10000000) but except for counter, which is specifically inita

My TouchGFX project is originally created with v4.16.1. I just downloaded latest version of TouchGFX i.e. 4.18.1. The latest version tried to convert my project and threw below error. So, I opened the project with v4.17.1 and it converted fine. But when I try to open with 4.18.1, it throws error. Please let me know.

A lot of images are uploaded in to my TouchGFX project. I would like to removed unused images from there. How would I know if a particular image is used in the project or not? For example, Texts -> Typographies tab shows how many uses a particular font has. Similarly, is there a way to know if a particular image is used or not?

It's not a big deal but this got me confused for a moment when I suddenly got compiler warnings.Steps to reproduce:Start a new project in STM32CubeIDEUse STM32L422RBI MCU, default settings, finishCubeMX: Enable SPI1 peripheral, Full-Duplex Master, default configurationCubeMX: Project Manager > Code Generator > Enable "Generate peripheral initialization as a pair of '.c/.h' files per peripheral"Save IOC, generate code, build project: observe 0 errors, 0 warningsNote that in Core/main.c, there is a line #include "spi.h"Open IOC in CubeMX againCubeMX: Activate QUADSPI peripheral, Bank1 with Single/Dual Lines, default configurationSave IOC, generate code, build project: observe 0 errors, 1 warning: "implicit declaration of function 'MX_SPI1_Init'; did you mean 'MX_GPIO_Init'? [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]"Observe that #include "spi.h" has been replaced by #include "quadspi.h"This can easily be fixed manually by adding the missing include below in the user includes but still, it s

CFG_DEBUG_TRACE are gray and I can not enable it. All options are the same as in example project for WB55. I can not use example project because I have different MCU. As I understand, bug exists for years, but nobody cares.

It is a hardware limitation or bug in STM32CubeMX ?

After migrating a project to STM32CubeMX Version 6.4.0 / HAL 1.9.1or after creation of a new project using the latest version of STM32CubeMX 6.4.0. / HAL 1.9.1. an include for spi.h is missing, which produces a compiler error! In the previous version all was fine.Processor: STM32H7A3ZITxactivated port: SPI3 and some Timers, USART, CAN, etc.After Code Creation with the new release, a line is missing in main.h: #include "spi.h" Please forward this to your responsibles. Thank you.BR GS

When set TX Pin Active Level Inversion to Enable, CubeMX generate a wrong statment:LL_USART_SetRXPinLevel(UART4, UART_ADVFEATURE_RXINV_ENABLE);

I downloaded and installed STM32CubeProgrammer v2.9.0 on my Linux machine. The STLinkUpgrade.jar is nowhere to be found. I had a friend (also on Linux) download and install STM32CubeProgrammer v2.9.0 on his machine and he had the same problem.

The ST25R3911B datasheet indicates it supports VHBR. In the RFAL code, there is default configuration for NFC-B VHBR rates, but nothing for NFC-A (ISO 14443-A).Are VHBR rates supported for ISO 14443-A?

I intend to use CAN module in STM32F722ZE Nucleo board, but I have a problem- the CAN module does not work. I tried to see the example code, but it also is not run. Anyone has the source code for CAN module in STM32F722ZE Nucleo? ( Loopback or normal mode)Thank you so much

Hi, Is it possible to change the content of a scrollwheel by a button in the same screen.For example I have 3 options Menu 1, Menu 2 and Menu 3 in scrollwheel when the screen appears for the firs time. I want to change these options to Menu 4 ~ Menu 6 by clicking a button in same screen.Is there any other solution?Thank you everyone.

Hi everyone,I'm using a MB1054B CR95HF RF transceiver demonstration board. Is ST25DV equivalent to this product? or MB1054B CR95HF Is there any similar product?

I want to set a certain threshold on an accelerometer and have it generate an IRQ. Do both of these accelerometers allow me to do this?Is one better than the other for this application and if so why?Thank you

Hello, I want to generate an interrupt using the timer update event every T seconds at a given MCU frequency F using LL library and a basic timer with STM32L071CB.Lets say for example that:T = 5 sSystem clock frequency F = 32 MHzTimer TIM6 It looks like a simple task but it's difficult for me to understand the math behind these operations.

My current design has +5V connected to an optocoupler output pin, the other optocoupler pin is connected to ground through a 25k resistor. (External pull down) The connection point between the optocoupler and the resistor is connected to the MCU pin which is configured as a floating input.Can I replace this with the following circuit?MCU pin connected to optocoupler pin. The other optocoupler pin connected directly to ground. The MCU pin configured as input with internal pull up.

I am using below development toolsMCU: STM32H7B3IIT6IDE: STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.8.0GUI: TouchGFX Version: 4.18.1SDRAM: IS45S16800F-7CTLA1-TRFLASH: MX25LM51245GMI00I work on external FLASH. Because I have few pins I use QSPI, I am not use OSPI. STM32H7B3-DK develeopment board use OSPI it connected MX25U51245GMI00. There is OSPI example but dont have QSPI. How can I adapt the OSPI example made with MX25U51245GMI00 to QSPI.

in stm32f407vgt, i declared the RTC structures and set the RTC with date: 1,1,70 and time: 0:0:0 later i set RTC with new values (date: 4,3,22 and time: 10:55:28)after few minutes if i read the RTC it giving a time properly but date is wrong (i,e. 1,1,70)how to fix this issue?

Is it possible to use the same I2C peripheral to be used as both a master and a slave?I made use of an STM32G0 MCU and using examples from CubeMX, I got the peripheral I2C2 to work as a slave and a master separately where I am using interrupts for the slave mode and polling for the master.I am trying to combine it and make it work in both modes. Here is how I am trying to do it: HAL_I2C_DisableListen_IT(&hi2c2); result = HAL_I2C_Master_Receive(&hi2c2, (uint16_t) (0x69 << 1), rcvd_data, 3, HAL_MAX_DELAY); adc_result = rcvd_data[0]; adc_result = (adc_result << 4) + rcvd_data[1]; HAL_I2C_EnableListen_IT(&hi2c2);My code works some of the time but hangs up pretty quick and needs a reset. I don't have a logic analyzer to study the behavior. Am I doing this right? Is there an example I could follow?Any help is appreciated.

I am coding STM32H743 MCU with CubeMX generated library.I have 1 SPI Master and 1 Slave. Both configured for a full SPI with both lines of Tx and Rx.Master is calling blocking HAL_SPI_Transmit() or HAL_SPI_Receive() but never simultaneous HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive() . Yet the library converts any call to the HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(). Slave configured in non-blocking IT mode to catch any direction transmission.Does this mean that either one-directional transaction from Master will always trigger both Slave's callbacks HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback() and HAL_SPI_RxCpltCallback() as well ?In other words if Master Transmits only, then Slave not only receives it but also completes transmission of the same back to Master over the shifting loop? So both catchup Callbacks are triggered in the Slave? Meaning the Slave side cannot distinguish Master's Transmit-only command from Master's TransmitReceive command?Am I missing something ?Thanks in advance to anyone for clarification .

Hello,I am having problems with SPI connectivity. My problem seems to be the chip select pin that is controlled using GPIO HAL libraries. Chip select is pulled low for way longer than it is supposed to and therefore I cannot read the sent data properly.I am aware of the available NSS function, however I cannot use it in my case. The chip select control must be done using GPIO toggling. Would it be possible in any way to shorten the active time of chip select pin so it would be much more synchronized with the beggining and end of SPI transmission? In other words, can I come closer to the speed that would be provided by NSS pin?I have attached a photo from my logic analyzer view. My board is NUCLEO-F401RE. This is code for sending data via SPI:void send_data(uint8_t *address){ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOD, GPIO_PIN_2, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // Pull chip select low HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi3, address, 1, 5); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOD, GPIO_PIN_2, GPIO_PIN_SET); // Pull chip select high}

I have used DSP in STM32F411 successfully,but when i want to use DSP in STM32G070 , i find the DSP files are some different,such as G070's DSP files : ./Sourse/. have a Cmakelists.txt. i dont know how to use that txt file, so i just add DSP as usual.but! when i try to compile ， it has 757 errors! How amazing!so,could anyone can tell how to do?thanks all !
